All the models you've listed has almost the same caratteristics in processor, RAM, internal memory and camera.
The only thing I can say is that the HTC has a little less performant frontal camera compared with the other 2 (1.3 MP instead of 2 MP) and also xperia has a more advanced bluetooth and a battery a bit more powerul (2300 mAh).
I don't know much more about these models, I hope I helped a little :fingers-crossed:

Thank you for your opinion i will go for the xperia

Galaxy S2 or Sony Xperia S?

I went to buy Galaxy Note today..I watched
Youtube videos and though it would fit on my
hands.. I saw it n
OMG!! its huge..Doesn't even fit on my pocket..
My friend laughed like hell when I tried to
imitate a phone call scenario.. Its was
awkward .
The shopkeeper also said its too big .
Then he showed me the Sony Xperia S..
Gosh the screen was awesome..
I check out the Galaxy S2 too..
I liked the WVGA screen of the S2 but its
nowhere near Xperia S.
But the viewing angle was really bad on the
Xperia S.
N I didn't like the design too..Too much extra
space at the bottom. N 10mm thick too..
S2 was thin n comfortable to hold..
What I liked about Xperia S
-720p screen(but viewing angle is so bad)
-NFC tag
-Free standard hdmi cable
- 12 mp camera( i checked it n its awesome)
-PS store
-TV launcher
What I don't like about Xperia S
-Design
-Capacitative button is not responsive
-CPU n GPU is weaker than S2( according to
most techsites)
-Too thick..
Is the galaxy S2 screen resolution really that bad compared to Xperia S.. ??
I have a Galaxy S now n I want to upgrade screen wise as well
WVGA vs 720p..
Please help me choose.
Xperia S cpu/gpu is very old for a phone releasing now...
When Snapdragon 4 is out, sony is now with a snapdragon 3
And their is not much development for xperia S....(only one custom kernel and no cm7/9 yet)
You are from india so you will get i9100G(so you can't flash any roms here and i9100G have a different processor and GPU from i9100 international model)
Best choice is HTC one x which is much better than both xperia s and sgs2
the choice is obvious as long as Sony comes in the near future with the ICS upgrade. Just by comparing the two and taking in consideration just the resolution and overall hardware capabilities i'd go with the xperias. The S2 is still rocking, but let's not forget, a year has passed and there are other devices out there with better hardware.
And about the Note, I'd trade my S2 at any time for that beast of a screen, I've also played with it yesterday in an orange shop and I give you credit, it's big, but that's what the majority said about the S2 .
The resolution is important, for today's standards WVGA is obsolete, 720p is the standard now with a minimum of 4.7'' diagonal. I'd advise you to wait a little bit 'till the S3 is launched, who knows, maybe it will knock down the competition, or not . Also the HTC One X is an option, have you considered it?

and also stay away from i9100G

2011 Xperia phones got ics before xperia S
http://blogs.sonymobile.com/product...software-upgrade-for-2011-xperia-smartphones/
Look I respect everyone's opninion here but most of you are talking ****. I've had both phones and now I have the s2.
It's a ****ty phone seriously... you pay that much money for a phone with this low resolution... lets say the owner wont flash custom rom, than the xperia s is the better choice.
Why ? Its old what are you.sayin bla bla bla...
Specs aren't everything. If you chose your phone specs based than you're not wise. The software of the xperia S is far more complete and bugfree than that of samsung. It is despite having the older cpu much much faster in everyday use.
Sony is actually one of the best companies in terms of software updates... don't say the s isn't good because you had an arc ... what is that ?!
The galaxy s2 is useless as a smartphone becaus of the super amoled plus screen. It uses maybe double or more power than a normal screen when displaying white colors. And most webpages are white...
Also the one x is beautiful but it isn't the best becaus it has a quadcore cpu. It is.sometimes slow i've used it. Also the tegra 3 sucks power like hell. It is a cpu based on the arm a9 architecture wich is like used in the snapdragon s1 series.
Use both the one x and one s and you'll see despite the fact that the one s is only dual core the snapdragon s4 is waaay faster. This because it uses a proper cortex a15 architecture that is actually designed to make multicore cpu's of it...
The quadcore nvidia tegra 3 isn't more than.a marketing gimmick. It's nothing really new and of you say that the snapdragon s3 is old than so is the exynos and the Tegra because it's all based on the same old architecture.
My advice go either with the xperia s or buy an.one s online if you can't find it in your city...
s2 is the best
.....about the size...belive me..at first i thought s2 is huge....now i prefer note size.....when u used to read and use internet and forget laptop u will prefer the bigger

[Q] What Will Be a good Successor For My aging X10?

I am thinking abote some options, and I can't decide...
any help would be nice XD.
my options:
- Sony Xperia Sola (cuz of the price, but what I dont like is the singel-core mali-400 GPU and only 512mb ram... dose it matter? can it play GTA 3?)
-Mtorola Razr (or MAXX - shuld I wait for the Maxx? does it whorth the price?)
-Asus padfone - for obvious Reasons, but when will it be available? price?
Or the timing is bad? cuz I see that the SGSIII is abote to come and other phones, I dont wannabe stuck with an old unsupported phone after less then 9 monthes....
Thank's...
P.S. If the post is in the wrong plase, Im sorry... Im new on XDA.
Could wait and see what sgs3 has to offer. To be honest I'm not too big a fan of the sola or raze. If anything the asus
I upgraded my x10 to the HTC one x last week. This phone is a beast. Absolutely amazing

thx, but I must say, Im not a fan of quad-core, I think its useless when a duel-core crotex a-15 can do better.
also, 4.3 is the largest screen for me....
abote the one s, any good? is has almost the same hardware as the padfone - is sense and the beats audio are better then the "tablet-abilyti? (what I do with my phone is play music mostly and game and camera...)
It will be a sad day when i finally lay my old x10 to rest
Im looking forward to seeing what the sgs3 has to offer... although if my x10 keeps chugging along the same as always, i could be checking out sgs4 or 5 or 6
Why not consider the xperia s? Sony Ericsson has disappointed me plenty but this new Sony phone has specs that are incredible...1.5 ghz dual core processor..with GB of ram with 32GB of internal storage...with the best screen quality of any smartphone out there..that would be my choice =)

Yeah but they need to hurry up on ICS, that's the only smartphone released in 2012 that has Gingerbread, hopefully they will get on to that. And battery life too, hopefully it will be tweaked on ICS.
I want dat dem phone so bad. And yes, I'm not a quad core fan either, but I'm a pc specs fan.
Thx again,
Abote the xperia s - im realy no fan of SE after the satio and the x10,
Also I NEED a SD card slot on my phone... (and its realy pricy - it costs like the "karait" phones out ther
And another thing, does the sola (like the U) has the smatheadset in the box?

Tips for a new phone?

Right, so I got the following options on getting a (new) Android phone. Currently I have a Motorola Defy+, but I'm pretty dissatisfied by it due to a lot of small, annoying problems and since I could do a deal with my mother to get a little discount on a new phone.
The phones I might be getting:
-Nexus S
-Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S
-Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V
IF THE BUDGET PERMITS:
-Samsung Galaxy S2
-Galaxy Nexus
So, what I'm looking forwards:
-Battery
I'm against taking a extra battery with me, I like having my battery resistant and to recharge it rarely (aka with moderate-high usage to recharge it at the end of the day/next day.)
-ICS
'Nuff said.
-Half a gig of RAM vs a gig of RAM?
My current Motorola Defy+ moves like crap with half a gig of RAM. And no, I'm no nutcase who is used to close all his apps from 5 to 5 minutes. Not sure how much it helps on ICS tho, I don't have ICS.
-More than a 1GHz - Dual Core or single core?
Yeah, this is the question - will the Nexus S act better than the Xperia Arc S?
1 GHz Dual-Core vs 1.4 GHz Single-core.
What do I use it for?
-Typical phone stuff; a LOT of web surfing; an occasional game; a LOT of music-listening and possibly even attempting to create my own Android apps. (even tho I doubt this, but might try once since I want to use my graphic skills.)

Ya,Samsung Galaxy S2.....it would be the best choice to be made.
I am pretty sure that you will be satisfied with it...so i highly recommend this if your budget permits you.
I am incredibly satisfied with my Galaxy Nexus, it's a really, really good phone. Plus, I think it's the best looking phone to date. I had a Galaxy Note for a few months but traded it for the Nexus and haven't had any regrets.
I don't think you can make a wrong decision between the GNex and the S2, though. Both are great phones with a large developer following.
I have helped a coworker with his Xperia Arc S a few times, and I have to say that I wasn't impressed, even though I was partial for Sony Ericsson (while they were SE). And this was before I got either the Note or the Nexus, when I had an HTC Desire.
The Nexus S and the Neo V I have no experience of, so can't make a statement here.
So my vote lies with the Galaxy Nexus, although I am absolutely convinced that the S2 would be a good choice as well.
Samsung is about to announce a new galaxy next week, maybe it's best to wait..

And no, I won't go for the S3, or a new Nexus phone.

I want to know about the RAM - does it matter that much? 1GB or half? Is there any major differences for games such as, let's say, Temple Run?

I would say get an evo3d, its specs are 4.3 inch 3d lcd screen, 1.2ghz dual core processor, 1gb ram, plus 1750mah batt, i bought it for those reasons, not for the 3d, but what a bonus the 3d photos and films you can take, plus the few 3d games are awesome, anyway thats my shout for the evo3d.

[Q] Need help choosing a new phone!

I need help deciding which phone to buy ... the following big screen phones are available here in Egypt and are within my budget and have good reviews
1. HTC Desire HD
2. Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001
I found reviews favoring Desire HD over Galaxy S I9000 mainly because updates and Samsung GPS issues
nothing on it vs Galaxy S plus !
also I am worried that the Desire HD is gonna be a legacy device soon and I wont be getting support/updates easily.... on the other hand Galaxy S plus doesn't have many updated/custom roms... Desire HD has more RAM but Galaxy S plus has the better processor and better battery life.... I am torn here!
so which one to get... I am also open to suggestions for better 4+ inch phones within 350$ price range and btw.. I don't care much about the front facing camera or camera flash
Thanks in advance
would any moderator be kind and close/trash this topic.... It's irrelevant now
thanks

theres really no comparison if the price is the same
the desire x has the best specs, although the one v is a more matured root community with several roms (sense, aosp, miui) available
the desire s and other msm7x30 phones were great in their prime, but are not worth purchasing at similar prices to newer ones
i am planning to buy HTC desire X.....should i buy Desire X??...i think i am not gonna regret when i buy this...
I would say desire X even though it hasnt matured in the rooting community I think it definitely would take over from all the other 2 once its released..btw the one s prices are slowing dropping...take a look at that too even though you might need to pay a little extra.

Internal memory - how much of the 4GB is left after system files?
Hi, been reading up on the new Desire X and I'm seriously considering it. I bought an Asus TF201 earlier in the year and while it's not been without its issues (!) I've found that I much prefer Android to iOS so my old iPhone 4 is up for sale and I'm in the market for an Android phone. Don't want anything as big as the One X/SGIII so the Desire X seems to fit the bill – at least until a 32GB One S comes out!
I think I can probably live with the 800x480 resolution and lack of front-facing camera but one thing that does concern me is internal memory. I know that the Desire X comes with 4GB, but what I want to know is how much of this 4GB is taken up with system files and how much is left for my own apps. Some reviews claim that the system files take up a whopping 2.9GB, however HTC support told me that they only take up 1.2GB - leaving a much more healthy 2.8GB for my own apps. Does anyone have a new stock Desire X that they could have a quick look at and answer my question. Many thanks in advance.
Desire S...just too old
One V...having a very low C/P,too s*ck
Desire X...I haven't come up with its flaws!!

Hi.. I was planning to buy One S (Internation version) (in singapore) until recently.. But, the Battery Peformance of Desire X makes me have second thoughts..
i know 2x Krait is NO match to S4 Play.. However.. Spec-wise Desire X sits right below One S in the HTC Line-up.. And, Everywhere (GSMArena, Pocket-lint, engadget, etc.) Desire X battery is Hailed with Impressive results (HTC Claims 20 hrs Talktime while One S is only 7 hrs)
The One S has mixed reviews for its battery Life.. Hence, am not able to Decide..
Battery life is very critical for Me since i travel long between work & home.. So, Please Help me here.. Shud i go with Desire X or does the One S battery hold its own.. (I can live with a S4 play over the Krait .. than a Drained out battery !!)

If you ask me...Camera can be better.Samsung Wave 723,Galaxy Ace and even Blackberry 5MPx cams are better. And the sound can be better, I dont think headphones from 50 or 100 euro can make it better.Like I said Samsung,Blackberry and Nokia old phones are better in sound quality...And i dont like the noise and the echo sometimes when I speak with someone ;( I really hope HTC One X series are better...
Sent from my HTC Desire X using Tapatalk 2
I'm not so sure about that cameras. Lets get over that sound, it sounds perfect, every Android phone has hissing sound after you turn the music off, if you had an Android phone you would know that.
And for the god's sake, everyone please stop sh***ing around about this phone, if you don't like it why did you buy it? Go there, sell it and by some Samsung crap that costs 400e and after 150 day of usage burns itself!!!!
Comparing One V with Desire X is like comparing PC 486 with Pentium 4 machine, just see the specs for both devices, try both of them and you'll see what you'll get. Don't compare One S and One X, those are devices that cost twice more than Desire X.
Desire X.
Well one V has only 1ghz single core processor with only 512mb so does one s I believe? Those specs are really outdated and not probably will not get official jelly bean upgrades but I'm do sure they have cm10.
Desire X has decent specs for a mid range phone. Dual core processor, 768mb ram, qualified for jelly bean requirements, camera are really good so does video quality, surprisingly it beats my previous phone 720p hd video camera in terms of quality, really good battery life even on stock rom/kernel, imagine if were on custom kernels and that stuff etc etc
So buy desire x, its the best mid range smartphones out there.
