Very cool looking!

Boxes are nicer looking than the phones that come in them.

The owner of Android police already confirmed the leaks are real... I'm pretty sure he has the phones already, or got to demo the phones.

Im worried that the 6P will be taller than the N6. I want a Nexus that has the same footprint of the Note 5......and a LED notification light.

Well get the T-Mobile Note 5, root it, and install ThrashROM, then install the Material Dark theme, install Nova launcher, and good Lollipop icon pack, and your all set.
I just sold my Nexus 6, for a T-Mobile Note 5 and I am LOVING it way more than expected, with the above tweaks. I'm getting 6h Screen On time.

The top and bottom bezels are a huge turn off for me, I'll probably be sticking with the original Nexus 6.

agreed. bezels look awful

This is a shame. I saw the 159 footprint and that is just too big of bezels. I am holding out hope that those specs are wrong as i was reading an article talking about how Huawei is going for small borders on its phone...either way i'm happy with the MPXE, so no worries if the case.

This is shaping up to be a pretty sweet Nexus. Maybe the best Android phone of the year, right next to the Note 5.
3,450mAh battery on the 6P, and with Android 6.0 "Doze" feature that's supposed extend standby time, and then with some tweaked kernel and good ROM, this beast could get 7h Screen On time.
My rooted and ROM'd tweaked T-Mobile Note 5 is giving me 6h Screen On time, and it only has a 3,000mAh battery.
Now, is the 6P worth getting rid of my ROM'd Note 5 ?

My phone is my job. I'm in sales management. Always on the phone with clients, texting my workers, E-mail a ton. So during the workday I use my phone a lot, fur actual work related stuff.
And then after work, I'll watch some YouTube videos and surf the web before work and before bedtime.

Galaxy Note II battery life compared to industry

Cool chart. It would be nice if they did a test to compare the N7100 (unit they tested) to the Verizon version to see how well it compares.
Thanks for sharing the link

It almost looks like they were paid off on part of it. Showing the iphone only where it did well, and the pantech only where it did bad etc. You're supposed to pick other phones that people may be comparing it to and stick with them. Not sure why they decided to put random phones in each one.
Edit: didn't see expand button lol

Yeah the one thing that has surprised me with the Note 2 is just how the screen really isn't the guzzler on the device. The Exynos Quad doesn't have the best standby consumption, but for beating the crap out of it with the screen on, the thing just goes on forever.

I find the opposite in my case, the razr maxx has slightly better battery life, but it's no problem since I'm still easily able to get through a full day on a charge.

Note II's battery life is insane. 16 hrs on battery with about 8 of those hrs serving WIFI hotspot, 2 hrs 41 mins screen on time and 20% left.
This phone battery is the best, hands down. Every Android device I had before this required either an extended battery or an extra one.
This phone gets me through the day(s) and then some. I'm a power user, I'm on my phone constantly checking email, playing music watching videos or just trolling the forum and this battery kicks ass!

Agreed. Used to constantly carry a spare battery with me for my Galaxy Nexus. Since I have had my Note II for the past month I haven't had to worry at all about the battery dying on me from heavy usuage. Screen is constantly on because I use snote during my classes to take notes.

Not nearly as bad as the first renders. I don't mind it at all. I'll have the graphite color so it will be less obvious as well I believe.
Totally, completely, utterly... don't care about it.
To me, it looks fine. If anything, it gives this phone some identity. I'm the kind of person that needed a case for the N6 (so damn slippery!), but didn't want one that hid the Nexus name. This bar will stand out, and scream Nexus like never before.

I went with the same, for the same reason:good:
I don't mind it at all, its barely protruding and the phone looks like it'll actually sit still when I set it on a table. Which the Nexus 6 doesn't (it spins) because the back is sooo curved. Also graphite ftw! It barely looks noticeable with black on black.

I had real concerns looking at the first renders. It looked huge. Its pretty insignificant now that I've seen the phone in people's hands (on video). And I bought one of the 20 dollar Google cases in black which will make it null anyway.

Same here...I like it, but still grabbed the graphite 128 GB version just in case it is a bit more obtrusive than it looked during the presentation.
Besides, it's way more fun to get excited about the device that I bought than to kvetch about it before I even have it.

Completely agree with Badouken, my N6 spins away when I try to type on it while it lays (not flat) on the desk.
My biggest concern is actually overall size. I've never had a phone bigger than the LG G3, and I hope I won't hate the phablet size.

I dont think it will be noticeable at all really in a case ....... either way I got the graphite one so it looks like silly.
Should have got aluminum, then it would really be Benderesque
I kinda dig it because it will keep the phone flat on the table unlike some other flagships I've had of late. I got the graphite to help it blend in a bit. And the hump is affectionately referred to as the "Visor" within the nexus team [emoji14]
My fear was that the glass back would be raised above the body and lead to scratches, but it looks like it's slightly recessed. It will be nice to use a phone on the table without it rocking.

I bought the graphite as well but i like the look it it. The bump gives the phone character compared to the bland look of other phones lately. I'd rather have a large hump than a single bump like the iPhone/nexus 5x/S6 etc....

Same here! Plus, I'm thinking a bit ahead and think the graphite's black button where the fingerprint scanner is will complement a DBrand skin very well!
The bump is irrelevant if you go for the graphite, but otherwise - it's nowhere near as bad looking from the side, but I could definitely see people not liking the colour juxtaposition.

Nexus 6P v Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Comparison

I have to admit, I was surprised...
Nexus 6P really needs OIS...
Definitely.
There's no cheating or getting around it.
But then I didn't think this camera would be as good as my S6 for video or lower light conditions. I have to say, I prefer the pictures of my S6 to this in almost every mode and condition.
12.2 Megapixels, but only in 4:3? Are you kidding me?
No, this camera is definitely not a win for me.
But then again I knew that going in, and decided I'd rather have the 6P Google pureness than put up with TouchWiz anymore.
Why even bother with a comparison or a VS thread with the Note 5? Note 5 will probably win in every category which it does but the Nexus crowd will probably just make it into a TouchWiz sucks thread. Just look at the post above me, it really didn't take long.
Pretty hilarious if you ask me.

You have an odd sense of humour...
I am surprised that the 6P looks so good compared to the Note 5, the still pictures...
The videos, I think Google's EIS implementation is too strong. The videos look smooth, but the "jello" effect is very apparent.
How's the battery life comparison? I'm considering making the switch from the 6p to the Note 5 because of the band 12 fiasco. Just want to make sure I wouldn't be sacrificing battery life.
I'll be reviewing it with a comparison to the s6
I found the 6p can handle it's own in certain situations. However the focal length for macros surprised me. The s6 definitely wins there.

6p is far better on battery I just sold my note 5 to my brother it had a okay battery not like 6p
My first charge I got it this morning
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Having had the 6P for only 5 or 6 days, I find the Note 5 to have a better battery. Also, my unscientific test -
OP, thanks for the comparison. I have a S6 Edge with the same camera as the Note 5 and in my eyes the 6P does a better job in low light. But video quality definitely goes to the Note 5
Thankfully, I rarely use my phone for video, as I have a dedicated video camera for that. Though if/when I do use it for video, it'll be good enough for me. Other than that, I don't see any issues for me with this phone.
I'm just ready to get that shipment notification from Google, so I'll know that a 6P is headed my way. I had planned on using my Galaxy S4 (w/ GPE ROM) until at least mid-year next year, but I was careless walking into the kitchen one day and it slipped out of my hand. It hit the corner of the stove right on the edge of the screen. Needless to say, the screen works no longer, but the phone still functions. Luckily I had USB debugging enabled and can use the phone while it's connected to my PC. So I used that as my sign to get a new phone (Nexus 6P), but still waiting for it. Meanwhile, I've been stuck using my work iPhone 6....and I hate it. Through having to use it more, I've learned how much more I dislike it.

Got to play with it for 5 or 10 minutes

The guy at best buy let me play around with his working sample unit while he set up my preorder. That camera is amazing. I have wide hands and not long fingers....it was a perfect fit. I thought the N7 was good but the N8 just seemed to fit better. Can't reach everywhere on the phone one handed like I can on the N7 but that's ok.
I like writing it more than the N7.
It I mention the camera is amazing. 2x is just a game changer.
The black is a monolith.
I got the fingerprint friendly grey.
always bet on black
ill have the alcantara case on the beast so fingerprints matter not.
appreciate the johnny on the spot review boss... :good:
ok just checking but you said, "I thought the N7 was good but the N8 just seemed to fit better. Can't reach everywhere on the phone one handed like I can on the N7 but that's ok."
So it fits better than the N7 did in your hand, but you cannot reach everywhere on the screen like you could on the N7???? hmmmmm
I have no expectation of reaching everywhere on the 8.
It feels better....that's all I can say.
I still have my 7 and took it to Best buy to compare.
I can still handle it one handed, but like on the s8+, I sometimes maneuver it on my hand to reach parts of the screen. I don't mind that at all I'm used to it.

I just got to check one out at the Samsung booth at best buy. I have a Motorola Z Force, had the N7 and previous notes before that. I miss the pen. I was surprised to see that the width is pretty mich the same as my Z force. Its just about 3/8" taller when eyeballing them one ontop of the other. But the amount of screen real estate you gain is nuts. I like it, even more than he N7 and I was glad to read that I can get the bonus stuff wihout having to get some sort of phone plan/payment plan.
I watched the Destiny 2 trailer on a display model today and it was gorgeous. I didn't think much of the infinity screen before, but it's super sexy.

It is such a huge night and day difference with less bezels in terms of looks, but I usually run a case on my phones so it has never been important to me. But I do enjoy how the overall size of the device benefits from this. The taller slimmer profile will take a bit of getting used to though since my Moto Z feels almost square next to the N8. I guess I better order a good case to protect those nice curved panels.

Question Is it a good idea to change from OP10 Pro to 10T?

I've been using the 10 Pro for 4 months now and like to change to this amazing 10T which has excellent specs compared to the 10 Pro!
Yeah, the Oneplus 10T has great specs so it is a good option for 10 Pro! I'm too getting this phone after the launch.
Its spec's beats the 10 Pro big time! Not sure about price point....
I think according to an unboxing video released today, the price is $700, but I am not 100% sure.

I just now searched for it and it is showing $899 which is a little high but I think the price would be reasonable! Let's see after the launch...
Pricing in NA according to the launch event: $650 for base 8/128, and $750 for 16/256. 16 gigs of ram seems pretty overkill, but good price either way imo. Also, if you pre order the phone in the next few days, the 16G version is $650.

I am looking into 10T too. They said the phone frame is made of plastic, and the screen is 1080P with flat glass, not sure of the screen manufactory yet now, but my 10 Pro has a beautiful curved screen from Samsung.
I am wondering the screen maybe not so good as my 10 Pro.

If you're wondering that you will get the same screen as 10 pro then don't buy it since oneplus decided to cut costs some places they didn't give this phone the screen most were expecting it to get other than that it's a nice device
Regarding the plastic frame, I don't think it should make that much of a difference since It doesn't fail to look amazing if that's what you're after
Personally I liked this phone very much it has its downsides but those don't bother me much again it's personal opinion so feel free to checkout in-store if possible if you're unsure

Yes, there are some adjustments but 10T looks sleek and fast to use. I used the phone at the event and it was really good! I ordered it and gave the 10 Pro to my brother...
The ONLY reason is if you prefer flat screen
The flat screen can last longer easily. But if you want to use phones for longer then you don't want to switch yet.

the charging is just WOW

Yeah yah! Charging is just WOW for sure! I contemplated the 10 pro or the 10t. With the price, the charging and the latest Snapdragon I went with the 10t. I've been very happy with this phone so far.
I had the pixel 6A for 2 weeks before I got my 10t. That thing would overheat always. It wouldn't even charge it would be so hot with just general use. This phone stays nice and cool even under heavy loads.
Here's a screenshot of the pixel 6a with doing the same stuff I'm doing now on my 10t. Crazy hot!
