[Tutorial] Replace KINGROOT with SUPERSU with Super-Sume PRO - Galaxy Grand Prime General

Hey Guys! Just wanted to add something I found out and have not seen here on the forums.
Kingroot is excellent as it allows us to root our Grand Prime in seconds, but some of us don't like the App or simply prefer SuperSU.
So I searched a lot and found out this app that replaces Kingroot (with no need of other apps) with SuperSU permanently.
Just install and follow instructions. I did it and it worked perfectly. Its called SUPER-SUME PRO 9.2.1. Cant post the link because of the rules.
APK LINK: Can't post link by the rules.
Cheers!

This doesn't work on the SM-S920L variant. It just says "Processing, please wait..." for what I can only assume to be eternity.
***EDIT***
I stand corrected, I got this to work by unrooting kingroot 4.6.2, rooting with 4.5.0, installing supersume pro 9.2.1. and immediately running it, it worked perfectly! Happy user of SuperSU here.

Hi. I have the same problem as @bfoos and I tried rooting with KingRoot 4.5.0 on my HTC One (m7), and it still doesn't work. SuperSu installation stops at about 5% and says 'processing, please wait...' does anyone know what can I do? Thanks

thanks

Used it worked but can't update su binaries

but i installed Titanium backup and it is not working for me
it is showing a message that your fone is not rooted
but i have unlocked bootloader, super cid , s-off my fone
then why it is not working for me
does any one help me regarding this issue
Do you see supersu or superuser in your app drawer?
Install Super user and then you will have root access
Use one of the toolkits such as hasoon's or the Windroid one to flash the root binaries.
Or just re-flash the ROM.

It's not uncommon to root and not get busybox installed, which TB needs to do it's magic. If you open TB and click on the, "Problems" button it will install it's own busybox so it can work.
If you've solved this please post back so others know not to continue posting possible solutions like I, and others did

The safest and easiest method I have found is Chainfire Zip file. Go to the ANDROID DEVELOPMENT forum and you will find the thread. Look for the link to Chainfire's website and look for the CWM or TWRP flashable zip. The latest version is 1.94, download it, go into recovery and flash. As simple as that.I hope this helps you.

I rooted my friends Karbonn phone with Framaroot. He had Karbonn phone Titanium S5
Framaroot is for JB Devices.
Here is link to XDA Page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
Compatible devices are given in that page. Check your device and required Root Exploit.
It is working for many people.
However there is a constant risk. So do it at your own responsibility.

Here you go my friend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053:laugh:
@Sj Singh
Above solution is useless, because to use SuperSU, you need root first.
SuperSU does not root your phone. After rooting, it gives root access to apps.
I suggest you first to root your phone, then install SuperSU from above link.
Try Framaroot for rooting.
@Benelshaddai
Your solutions will not work. First root is required, then SuperSU is required for monitoring app root access.
In technical words,
First "su" binary (i.e. root) should be installed, then SuperSU (i.e. root access manager app) should be installed.

You are correct this is just the supersu app.Without a rooted phone its just useless app.
Well thnxx but it was my friends phone and he has already rooted it by binary tool.

Alcatel Ideal: Switching Kingroot to SuperSU?

Hey guys, I have a question. I have an Alcatel Ideal (Runs 5.1.1 LP) rooted with Kingroot. However, some of the apps that I have installed on it, for example, Device Control by Alexander Martinz, recommend I change to SuperSU so that it can control the phone better. How do I go about doing this conversion?

You can Easily Do so by using an app called SuperSume pro which you can find on play store easily. Unfortunately it is paid.
However google it, for sure u'll find it for free somewhere.
Hit Thanks if Helped
This thread is obsolete now,

The very easy but long way I personally use is to 1st rooting the device using kingroot. Then flashing custom recovery (I suggest TWRP) using any flash tool. Then completely unrooting from kingroot (no root backup).
But then you'll already have a custom recovery working in your device. From there flash supersu.zip for your device and you are done. Now if you want you can reflash the stock recovery.
I recommend you creating a backup of stock recovery before flashing a custom one.
Hit thanks if helped.

Are there any good root apps?

I can't find a worth root app... Is there smth on the market?
I believe you shouldn't use any one-click-root apps
Just do a little search and root yourself
Reddi r/AndroidRoot has awesome mods and fairly good community, you can ask them
Kingroot ?
I have good experience using king root.

Kingoroot, despite being allowed on XDA and captured as part of their root options threads is malware.
Do not use it.
Unlock your bootloader, flash twrp then flash magisk.
Considering how nowadys everything seems to revolve around "Flash TWRP via Fastboot and then flash SuperSu.zip"
... I fail to see why we'd need that anymore...

Working root method for the SM-G850A AT&T device

EDIT
I've changed the title to be something informative now, rather than a question.
Ok, so I finally got it working using KingRoot from here (it's probably the official version, but I'm not sure). Since it's an online-based root, you need an active internet connection and that's all you need. Device will reboot twice during the process, in my case, on first reboot, I've re-opened the app and the progress continued. KingRoot conveniently handles the root authorizations itself, but you might want to install your favorite superuser app later on...
Tested on KitKat 4.4.4 version (see attachments)
That's pretty much it. Hope it helps

I tried some of the rooting methods I found in the wild (including the NewKingroot + SuperSU Me) related to the samsung galaxy alpha sm-g850a, but with no luck at all. I know that this is an old device, but I still wanted to have root access for testing purpose.
OneClickRoot claims to have support for the KitKat 4.4.4 version, but I haven't tried it because of a membership requirement.
I hope someone create a new rooting method for this device

Thank you for your reply. I also tried that, the one for SM-G850F (sltexx), but it failed. Also, there's no support for SM-G850A in chainfire's web page. Do you know other working root methods for this specific device?
