Called Amazon, spoke with a supervisor and then a manager. They told me they are not expecting the 64gb model for 4 to 7 weeks. ASUS has not provided them with an ETA and only a window of sometime in late January.
PURE SPECULATION BELOW:
It looks like ASUS did not produce any 64gb models in order to push out the 32gb models and I would venture to say they haven't even started production of them yet.
Are they all shipping from one state or do do they have different warehouses throughout? Any ideas? Do we know if any Gamestops have got their shipments yet?

Based on Asus' size, I'd guess they use a third party distributor for staging and shipping to resellers. They're all coming from China so the port of entry is probably California. What happens to them from there is anyone's guess.
Gamestop will be getting them on the 23rd...so will Best Buy.

I finally received the phone on the 13th. I guess im spoiled by DHL. I placed an order on aliexpress that was placed and shipped from shenzhen on thursday, went through dubai, germany, and cincinnati ; delivered in birmingham before 9am on monday.
Oh there's your problem. Mine shipped from Dallas. That's odd.
