[Q] Unlock & Unblock my Galaxy S6 Edge Sprint. - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I'm new in this forum, Although I've been in this forum a lot of times in a long time I never really felt like creating an account or needed help, But this time I'm just mad at Sprint's service and I wonder if you can help me
The Main question is If Sprint blocks my phone S6 Edge ( SM-G925P )
( As if reported stolen or something )
How to unblock it, And Unlock it to work under other companies, I've googled But I really can't find an answer ): ... Some say that If root and Flash to another ROM helps But I want to make sure before I try anything ... Thanks you guys
Some background information, You don't have to read it, It's just me trying to let some rage out :/ ... just in case you wonder why I ask this is because I paid for this phone , I am just sick of Sprint and I had a really bad experience with them And I'm not willing to pay double of what the phone's worth to cancel that contract and give them back the phone.
So what I'm trying to do is just unlock the phone and get service in other store.
The unblock thing is just in case they block my phone .-.
Thanks again, For your time

need some serious help please :(

Hey everyone ... first of all I want to say sorry if this is not the correct place to post this but I really need help. I bought Xperia X10 this morning (found it on Craigslist) and the person I bought it from told me that it will work with my t-mobile even tho its branded with at&t! I believed that person and got home charged the phone because it had less than 2% battery when I bought it ... anyways, its NOT working. It asks for unlock pin for the sim card. I didnt know what to do so I called the ATT people and she said that she is not able to get the code and she also said that I can get the code from ATT After JULY!!! I dont know HOW she came up with that date but I dont think I can wait that long. I have been on the computer ALL day searching for what to do and learned lots of new things lol but I still didnt get it unlocked ... I read there that ROM or custom rom is like a firmware? I think I can do something if someone guides me in right direction .. and I also looked at those websites where they SELL the code for about 40-50 bux and I think its too much cause I already paid so much for the phone so Please some one help me cause Google always guides me to the infamous XDA-Devs forum .... thanks in advance and once again, sorry if this is not suppose to be here! Feel free to PM me with any info that could/would me!!!

wow ... not a single reply? Is anyone alive in this forum??
if i figured out this right u need a PIN code for your SIM card... if u don't know ur pin just buy another phone card and request from att number change and pick ur old number
Those sites are the only ones that unlock it. IM afraid that u will have to go with at&t or pay 50$ to unlock it.
BTW I would whip that ***** that sold u the phone.

I don't know what you mean but from all the searching and whatnot, I think that when I put the T-mobile sim in and it asks for Unlock PIN ... it means that its Locked BY ATT and the only person/people that can unlock is ATT but when I called them and asked to do it ...they asked me for my IMEI# and told me that it wasnt possible to unlock it ... first time I called them they said I could call them back after few months and they could give me the code but second time I tried they said this phone is NOT Unlockable so someone help ME!!!

When you say those sites ... which ones do you mean? Do you know of any that's TRUSTABLE and reliable? because I have read lots of bad stuff about HTCCode and CellUnlocker is way too expensive and I don't even know if its reliable.
And yes I wish I could whip that ***** but I got the phone for a good deal and I don't think that I will ever see her again lol
All the ROM flashing, unbranding, and rooting procedures out there should never be able to unlock the SIM for you.
AT&T makes you wait several months after the purchase of their phones before they provide unlock codes for them. That's their policy.
If you want to go with a paid service, some have had luck with a place like FastGSM (www.fastgsm.com/en), so you can always check that out. Paid services usually charge something between $30 and $50 (U.S.D.).
There is supposedly a simlock calculator application for Windows out there that works for HTC and Sony Ericsson phones (http://youtu.be/DsBKpTLZMrA). If you're willing to risk going through the hoops in order to try downloading the .EXE, you can try it out (http://simlockcalculators.net78.net/?p=24). Just be sure to use an email account you don't care about and anti-virus scan the heck out of any downloaded files afterwards.
The davinci team is good too

Hmm FastGsm kinda looks legit so I will snoop around there but that Calc is FAKE lol i tried it about a day ago or so and it made me waste one of my tries but thnx for tryin tho!
OK just letting everyone know that I got my phone unlocked .... I used Unlocking.com and it took exactly a week and 30 dollars so ya. Thanks for trying to help everyone!
wouldnt flashing any new generic firmware gett rid of anything ATT on the phone?
I was told "NO". You cant do anything with sim lock other than pay for the code and get it ... no other way around it.

[Q] HELP need to unlock phone for new company

Ok so I love my vibrant sooo much! sometimes my girlfriend says i spend more time trying out new roms than i do trying things with her anyway.... I had to switch off the tmobile network to Duet wireless, I don't know if this is something that can be done or not but I am just wondering if someone can walk me through how to unlock the phone for this company and if roms from the devs will still work on it after. I know the basics of rooting and flashing new roms but I couldn't find much on how to unlock the phone for other companies.
Thanks all,
Call T-Mobile customer support and ask for your unlock code. They are obligated to give it to you. Call from another phone, since they will probably ask for the number(s) printed under your battery to find your code for you. Simple as that. If Duet uses the same frequencies as T-Mo, you'll be fine, if not, you'll at least have a nice PMP.

[Q] Android and Note noob, need advice

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has already been answered, but I'm losing focus reading all the posts on the subjects. And I'm on a limited timeframe, so I would really appreciate if someone could help me or point me at information that I can use. I'm totally new to Android - replacing my iPhone.
I just got a Note from Rogers (Canada). I have 2 weeks to return if I'm not satisfied. I like Note but it's locked and I travel a lot, so I need to unlock it. There are too many options here and I'm getting confused:
1. Google gives me a lot of links to some shady websites that promise an unlock via some magic. Are these legit? Do they work? I couldn't find any definite answer.
2. Rooting/replacing ROMs/other crazy stuff. I'm ok with this as long as I know that I can unlock the device and it will stay unlocked. I would prefer to wait until ICS is released, but I need an unlock soon
So, my questions are:
1. Is going with Note from Rogers a good idea? Or should I spend money on an unlocked version from Europe?
2. Should I buy Roger's version outright? Expensive and I'm paying my 3 year term anyway Then they can unlock the phone for a fee ($50).
3. Can I use one of those online unlocking sites? Or will I just get ripped off and won't get the actual unlock?
4. Does the phone stay unlocked after an update (like to ICS) if online unlockers are used and work?
5. Seeing how different the versions of Note are is there a chance that the Canadian version (Roger's) will get much less attention in the area of third-party devs simply based on the number of users? Or it doesn't matter? I would really love to get into modding and having some real nice functionality/wigets/look-and-feel on the device.
Well, sorry for being so verbose. I would appreciate any help on this. My other choice would be to get a Galaxy Nexus instead, but I'd hate to give up this huge screen.
Thanks in advance! Hope this is not totally off-topic. If it is, I'm sorry for that.
cellunlocker.net is what most have been using, if record ur process of unlocking ur phone and send it to them they refund ur money i myself couldn't record it so i paid but well worth it 25 bucks and its pretty quick just check ur spam folder in mail if ur using gmail mine was there within two hours

Thanks for the advice. Used the service, got the code in couple of hours and unlocked my phone! Happy as can be!
P.S. It cost me $7.99 to unlock Rogers Note.

Please can anybody help

Ok this isnt some sick joke or prank.
A good friend of mine recently passed away. His mother has asked can i possibly get into his phone to see the last messages he sent due to the way he left. It has swipe lock enable
The phone is a galaxy s7 edge, with frp lock, so rooting is proving quite unsuccesful.
Is there anyway at all i can get into this phone or retrieve a data backup to transfer to another handset?
I have all relevant proof that this isnt a hoax or sick joke, i will even pay for any services.
Regards
