Third party watch bands? - Moto 360 2015

Does anyone know if we can purchase third party bands for the Moto 360 2015 yet? My Pebble Steele band that I used on my original 360 doesn't seem to fit this new one. The pins seems too long. Thanks

TYLT (TYLT.com) already has a silicone band released for the Moto 360 2015. I order one and should get it tomorrow.
You can use any 20mm watchband on the 42mm Moto, or any 22mm band on the 46mm Moto. I went with TYLT since they got good reviews with the Moto first gen bands, and they included the quick release pin bars in the band. So much easier with the quick release pins rather than tradition watch pins.

Thank you for that. I was hoping for a metal band though.

I ordered the TYLT band and have already returned it. It is a good inch bigger than the stock band and was too big on my wrist. I had the TYLT band on my Gen 1 Moto 360 and it fit fine, so I just put it on my Gen 2 Moto 360.

I'm looking for a silicone and a metal band for the 42mm version. (20mm band) anyone?

I just ordered one of these from Amazon. http://www.tylt.com/moto360-2-band/

I was hoping for a metal one. I'm assuming because it is so new, there aren't many on the market quite yet.

As was mentioned above, you can use most any 20mm or 22mm band you can find. On my 2nd gen Moto 360 I'm using the same band that I used on my 1st gen (with SteelConnect). It's a snug fit but no real problem to fit.

in Italy motomaker is not available, so I was not able to customize my 360as I wanted (42mm, black case, black metal band).
I was "forced" to buy a leather band model, but really want the metal bands... Please, as soon as you know someone that sells good metal bands, let me know!

I just grabbed a band on Amazon. I am so far very happy with it. I think the band weighs a lot more then the watch.

Bought the leather band and now realize how much I hate leather bands.
Bought this as an experiment.. http://m.ebay.com/itm/361226805484?_mwBanner=1
It was cheap and once I get the knack of changing bands, I'll update.

Awesome. I put the super engineer ii on the original 360. I love that band and wanted to know if it worked on this generation. I'm ordering the black knurl 46mm 360 and black type ii right now just because you confirmed it fits. Thanks!

I was on the fence and just did not find what I wanted, so I pulled the trigger on this one..

I like it so far. My wife says it looks like a real watch now.
My only grip is the color is not an exact match.

yeah, but you only know that because you stare longingly at it most of the day.
9 times out of 10 someone complimenting you on it won't even realize it.
I was even pondering getting a gunmetal or black band, but decided that might look too off. I found a silver and black one I may pickup too.

Here's something you might find interesting. This watch band is from a watch I got a Kohl's several years ago. It is a dark brown metal mesh type band. I got the watch on sale for $15 bucks. But... As you can see the band just happens to be a 22mm band. It fits perfectly on my Moto 360 2nd gen, 46mm. I've also noticed that many cheapo watches have decent looking bands that could most likely be used on our 360's. Heck I'd pay 35 bucks for a timex that had a nice band on it...that I could put on my 360. Why not? I've seen $10 watches with 22mm bands on them that look pretty good. Just and FYI post....

Got the engineer in the mail today. Worth every cent it is beautiful, but a monster, love it.

I ordered my stainless steel watch band from Amazon and loved it. You can check it out here on my Youtube channel (remove that spaces and add a 'w' in the url, to access my video)! https:// ww.youtube. com/watch?v=_f4cD-V4p5k

I ordered the Truffol black metal band and it fits quite nicely on my Moto 360 2015. I'm happy with my purchase, just wish it wasn't quite so expensive.

I'm thinking of buying the black Moto 360 2015 -model in 46mm size when the pricier get down a bit. I'm also planning to buy a 3rd party watch band for it. It seems that those StrapCode Super Engineer II bands are highly recommended by most Moto 360 owners although, concerning the black models, there have been reviews that state that the black coating peels off easily (which is curious as I have a cheap black Ed Hardy watch bought from eBay and there isn't a single spot where the black coating has peeled off even though it's certainly brushed against floors and walls).
Anyway, while the Super Engineer II style looks great, I wonder if the Shark Mesh style would make the look a bit more modern and unique (where as the Super Engineer II look is more testosterone-filled). However, I've read that the edges of the Shark Mesh style band might get stuck on clothes and that you might need to you wire cutters to shorten the mesh (there are different sizes to select at StrapCode).
Finally, I've understood that you don't need to modify the Moto 360 nor the band in any way to make them fit together. Is this true?

cases and such

T-mobile gave the vegas crew clear cases, and that case didnt fit the red slide well... just an FYI
Also the T-mobile stores will be selling the same hard case as the cliq for the MTS... nothing new from t-mobile there
and fitted screen protectors, I did not see any clear cases in my store inventory as of late.
Been looking around at the usual big sources of Amazon/Ebay and such but only finding generic cases/holders. Really looking to get a clear snap-on case, but don't want to pay 30-40 in a TMO store. Any leads?
The case I got awhile back from Tmo for my G1 actually fits for the Slide as well. It's only slightly bigger (since the phone is slimer) So for me atleast no real reason to get a new case.

So the click cases fit the slide?? Im holding out on hopefully tmbile coming out with a REAL carbon fiber one like they did for the 08 or atleast some of the hard silicone ones they have for the mytouch. Right now all they had at the store i went to was a thick looking one that had a aluminum colored screen cover and then the rest was black

I bought one of those Black and Chrome cases, makes the phone WAY to big. I ordered a skinomi skin. Never used them before so we'll see. I work for TMO too, BTW.
Gel Cases
You guys that work for TMO: Do you know when the studio gel cases will be available? They were listed in the studio ad that came w/ the mt3gs, but the studio site for the mt3gs wasn't available when i last looked (late yesterday). I'm guessing it will be ready for the official 16th launch?
I bought the black and chrome case too, itll work for now but it makes it overly bulky....but I absolutely LOVE the kickstand....this phone could really use a horizontal docking station too....a gel case that they said would come out with would really be nice.
I agree on the black and chrome shell. Made the phone twice as thick. I would be happy with a good clear shell with some kind of grip on it. I prefer my old leather pouch I have had since my poor old Wing.
I picked up a couple screen protectors at the local Tmobile store last night, and had them install it for me. They brought out that thick case for me too, thinking I would want that as well. She opened it up to show it to me, and wow is that case thick!!! I am waiting for the Gel cases to come out, see how those look. If not, wait for the cheap cases to hit ebay.
Here is a photo of the red gel case for the slide, it should be out soon...

Kindle DX Cases for GTablet

Someone posted in the huge @ss thread that they thought the Kindle DX was about the same size as the GTablet.
I went ahead and ordered this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kindle-DX-Leath...&otn=4&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=5004332251969071237
I'm happy with it so far, the DX is about half and inch wider, height is okay, so it can slide around a bit. I put some stick on velcro on the case and on the GTab, it isn't going anywhere now. I think I'm going to have to use superglue for the velcro on the case though, it's felt lined so it won't stick on for long. The only thing is the top elastic band is close to the power button, maybe Roebeet's electrical tape solution is in order.
UPDATE: Oh, well my fake pleather case has ding in the edge now. Maybe I need to get some of that liquid leather. ;P Happy with the sizing, just need to find something more durable. Maybe I'll use some of that new fangled electrical tape I hear is the new duct tape.
Electrical tape is the new duct tape:

I need to do something like that, was thinking of a little piece of sticky backed foam, like 1/4 ince or so, think I have some perfect for that around here somewhere.
Hitting that power button is way to easy to do, need to mod the physical keys on the side somehow also, lol.

I purchased a Solo Classic iPad/eReader portfolio case from Staples that was around $30.00. The downside is that the power button is covered by one of the soft cloth corner holders, but other than that it has worked fine.

The band was tighter when I first got it (infact it was so tight that it keep randomly turn on my tablet). After a few days it loosen up so the problem resolve itself. I carry it around ,always rushing to class and it feel pretty secure imo.

G Tablet case that really fits and you can buy lots of places

I've been looking for a good-fitting case for weeks, and have bought a couple that "almost" fit, like the Kindle DX and some Netbook cases. I finally found one made by INIT, Model NT-DV209, that fits perfectly. It's a sleeve style and is evidently made to fit 9" electronics as opposed to the ones that fit 10" but are too big. I bought mine at a local Best Buy but if you google the part number, a lot of places carry it. It's a nice snug fit and doesn't seem to cause my power button to get pressed easily.
I also tried the "official" G Tablet case from Sears which as too wide and turned out to ba a CaseLogic 10" Netbook case.

I love my Targus A7 10.2" Netbook sleeve (TSS109US): comes in a variety of colours - mine is deep purple - fits like a glove and is very well padded inside, with scratch resistant lining over sculpted foam. Just check the product ID code - TSS109US - before you buy because apparently it comes in a range of sizes.
I paid $15 for it at Staples and though I see it listed as $20 on Staples.com right now, a quick Google search shows lots of opportunities to find a deal.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
I went looking for the Targus case mentioned above at Staples and found it for $20. I saw they had a couple of other cases too made by Targus that had the same internal dimensions as listed on the tags. I decided to get one of the other ones instead and it seems to fit really well. Thanks for the tip!

Solo lvl106-3 for 9.7 ereaders. I bought mine over at Staples. Amazon has them too. Two elastics and two cloth pockets. Actually 4 elastics to fit different sizes. The image is not exact! mine has four elastics in one corner (opposite the power and volume) and two corner 'pockets' on the other side so anything can fit. You can't easily (or wisely) access your power port and power button is snuggled in the corner pocket thing but it does not push on it and you can just push it without issue. All and all for $25 not bad.

That is an interesting idea. I also am leery of using a "jurry rigged" cover for my gTab.

I bought the same one from amazon and i got my tab secured to this case with sticky velcro, now my tab dose not move a bit. with all elastic and soft corner unsecured and with only velcro sticking tab against the case i can even hang my tab upside down safely. Only reason why i bought this sleeve is because of zipper and the soft padding to protect the tab and its screen

Moduul LG G Watch Dock - Aluminum, wood + uses LG charging brick

Hi G Watch owners,
Just thought you might want to check out our current Indiegogo campaign for a G Watch charging dock.
it uses the LG G Watch charging brick to create a desktop/bedside table stand so you can actually view and use the g watch while it's charging without using two hands.
Also acts as a pretty nifty bedside table clock.
It's made out of premium aluminum and timber for the high quality look and feel.
Check out the campaign if you get a sec.

We also now support the G Watch R!
More devices will be supported as we get details for charging methods and dimensions. stay tuned.

Thanks for the interest in the Moduul.
We've taken on some feedback and have opened it up so the Moduul now works with Closed loop watch bands.
Check it out on Indiegogo.. http://igg.me/at/moduul-gwatch-dock/x/8434738
We also now support the G Watch R!
More devices will be supported as we get details for charging methods and dimensions. stay tuned.
Thanks,
Yianni - Team Aerios.

Hey, glad to see you here But, as other members said, the biggest problem here is the 22$ shipping fees :/
I should go to Australia in 4-5 months, so i'll probably grab one from there, 2/3 of the price just for the shipping is literally too much for me :/

I'd be very willing to get one if it didnt cost so much for shipping.
Any new models releasing?
By the time this product is released, the G Watch will have been superceded by another device.
I don't know if you're already going to do this but... It would be a good idea to sell the stand, then have pieces that slot in. One for G-watch, one for Gear Live, one for G Watch R etc.
$6.99 off of eBay for the Braketron Nanotek stand (used to be at Best Buy). Cut a small slit on the side for a metal band with a Dremel tool, and the Nanotek sticky part sticks the charger in just the right angle. So even with buying a second charger for the watch from Google, this comes up to less than $30 for a clean looking watch stand!
It's about $48 USD to get one moduul shipped to the us.
Would anyone be interested in starting a bounty esque thread where we could get enough people pledged, and say order 20 units? The website is stating only $25 aus to ship 20 units. And I'm sure shipping one of these as a first class package would be $2 or less. I dunno. I guess it's a lost cause.
At least a guy at shapeways has a design up for the g watch r. Not the original g watch tho.
My battery lasts 4 days and spends so little time charging anyway but I'm a sucker for this thing I swear lol.

22$ shipping outside of Australia completely killed this for me. The shipping is like 2/3 the base price. That's crazy.

Best window case

Hi all,
Just looking for the best quality window case for this phone.
Any suggestions?
TIA.
For me Nillkin is the best.
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-L09 using XDA Free mobile app
Thx for the reply. Does it fit well around the phone corners etc?
I purchased the rock case.
Should be interesting how it goes. Will update when it arrives.
Yes. it fits 100% perfectly. The only problem (for me) are the available colors. Only BLACK, RED, LIGHT BLUE (but not WHITE as I would).

The problem is that most of the se Windows cases don't have any clip to sicure key closed the Windows. Therefore if the phone fall down on the ground, the case May open and the screen May break.
This doesn't Apply to Nillkin cases.

I've purchased the Rock case too. But the funny thing about these cases is that the magnets aimed to activate Smart View in the phone are not correctly aligned with the phone's magnets. As a consequence, Smart View does not get activated when the case is closed.
I've bought two of these cases (gold and black version), and tried it with 3 different Mate 7. Conclusion : either the case's magnets, or the international version of Mate 7 is faulty.
The final workaround was to move the case's magnets (pry tool, glue and patience are necessary )
No issues here with rock case and magnets and smart view; works every time open/close and using it now for nearly a week.
Perhaps your rock case is faulty?
Well, that sounds weird... I've bought two Rock cases, and tried them on 3 different Mate 7. Same problem, same workaround. I hardly can believe that the phones were faulty...
If yours works, I assume that mines are exceptionnaly misfunctioning. However, that's weird...
I bought a Qialino brown leather flip case from an ebay seller in HK. It is very high quality which is nice for a change. Phone cases I've bought out of HK in the past have been meh...
This one is excellent and makes the phone look like it's top shelf. Magnets, window, etc all work properly.
Hi mate, I am interested in this case, can you let me know which seller you used?
Cheers!

Alonso, sorry mate, I missed your question previously. You have probably moved on by now but the ebay seller I bought from was happyseller19

Hello,
I've also bought this case, received it 2 days ago. The brown leather make the whole look premium, and I can confirm that all's working properly.
It's the very first case I do not wan't to unwear
I bought a few day before a original black huawei Mate7 flipcase
Easy clip in the Mate7. Smartcover feature works fine. Fine fitting and quality. In germany expencive. Use it at work an would by it again.
Mate Nice Flip Leather Case For Huawei Ascend Mate7
or
Nillkin Flip Leather Case For Huawei Ascend Mate7
:good::good:
My HAM7 (Gold model) came with Huawei's flip cover in the box, which was a pleasant surprise.
Honestly I find very little functionality in the flip cover. The complete lack of customization options for the Smart View mode is truly shocking, I can't even change the background from that damn bridge picture! No notifications, no information displayed besides the date and time. Nothing. When music is playing you get a clunky music controller, and that's it.
If I had a better, non-flip cover, or a website which can ship to where I live (there is none) I would replace it in a heartbeat.
hi very nice the roch case ,the only problem is on 4.4.2 android ,have many information ,battery stats ,best clock and other ,butt on android 5.1.1 I don't have more ...is there solution ?? thanks
o'k
