nice i think i can reduce iso a little more and increase shutter speed some more maybe i'll try make a how to video on how to modify these libs
with stock cam its not working because its using zsl.

I might be OT, but what Snapdragon Camera do you use? I'm on stock KitKat, TWRP recovery, rooted & XCam with advanced drivers, I've found the Snapdragon Camera over here, but it's a flashable - won't it collide with XCam/advanced drivers?
Well, it works on stock, you just need to change resolution but its verry stuttering.

There could be some problems on stock, because app is probably dedicated for CAF based roms.

I am using Freedcam and found so great so far Xcam is also good but dont support raw on Lollipop like Freedcam :fingers-crossed:

EDIT: Wow the shutter is slow, I wonder if you could make a faster shutter speed so we don't get any blur in low light shots. I'm not at my pc and won't be for a while, so I won't get a change to take a look at the files
Wow, I have to say I'm very impressed with this mod! That slower shutter speed coupled with OIS really bring difference in exposing details while maintaining ISO at a reasonable range and minimize blurring. I wonder if OP could extend shutter speed range from, let say +30sec to about 1/12500sec if it even possible. That would be super awesome! Thanks a lot man!
I attached 2 identical picture with different parameter. The difference is astounding!
Btw, I am using Inazuma 2.5 D802 rom. The darker picture was taken with integrated latest Xcam and the other one taken with FreeDcam. (Both taken after the mod successfully applied)

You can just grab it from the 2.3.7 Xperia S firmwares or roms in the dev section
It's better to do that before starting a thread in themes & apps, requests need to be done in general

cant you use the arc ics camera?
I think that the ics camera APK is supporting all xperia line, in the setting it has the recommended setting for 12mp camera, 8mp camera,5mp camera
can someone try and report?

I have moded your apk and added my mod, can you try it? also you should get 5MP option- I think its must for your 12MP camera, you will get sharper and full detailed photos!

Yes root needed!
and I found out that you can install the apk without reboot,
1)stop camera service and clear data at apk manger
2)copy the modded apk to "root" folder and apply permissions
3)cut the apk from "root" folder and go to system/app
4)locate the old semcameraUI and delete it
5)past the modded apk
and walla! the apk installed
it works for me- you try it on your risk!

Does it have any improvements in color balance, white/shadow levels or anything like that?
It'd be nice to have this info in the first post... because as far as I can understand you ported the features included in the mod from somemadcaaant but they are not described here... And then you added the possibility to have 5 and 6MP image size.

I posted the link describing this mod at the arc thread ("for more info about the mod click here!"), and I modded the somemadcaaant coz it already improved over stock apk.
the jpeg size not really increased coz it already at 100%
and I tried fv-5 apk that can save photos at PNG format (17MB for 8mp pic) and no improvement in quality (photoshop 800% zoom)
the quality and details only can be changed in camera drivers (post processing)

Yep working very well with the new 5mp and 6mp options, thanks for your work!
We still need to raise the image quality some how, i dislike how the software blurrs the image when zoomed in with so much colour noise added on, doesn't make sense for a 12mp sensor and seems to be inconsistent with results.
Hopefully ICS will have a fix, the ArcS ICS i read somewhere on the XDA forum fixed image compression.
PNG image size is incredible from what you say, would it be better saving the image as a pure bmp instead? I don't think most of us would be worried about image size if it meant better images over all

- Infinity: a fixed focus maximum distance for landscape mainly.
- Fixed: Focus adjustment midpoint, closer than landscape. Less good sharpness than auto, face,... but no time focus for quick shoot or solution if auto focus can't lock subject.

i'm pretty sure hardware support for continuous focus in video mode is not there. so i will probably remove that.

720p was deleted because ram and poor quality.
Since the performance is significantly improved (rom and even more kernel).
I think we should test again...
I think too that 720p feature is implemented in kernel and not in rom (It's why I spoke about nAa kernel).
I'm wrong?
Waiting eagerly for this great can without panorama.. Also dev, pls just remove all unusable things from this great app..
You can just note what working/not..

i actually like the idea that we get a better experience than having a feature which doesn't work properly.
the overall user experience is bad, the picture quality is not great plus we get bad frame rates
also 22mb is a lot of ram to waste on a feature which one can live without.
anyway thats my opinion.

Gandhar please go ahead and remove panorama. The less non working components the simpler and easier it will be to maintain. For people that need panorama can use use this one. Works perfectly just tried it out on M66B's CM10 build from yesterday. I'm confident will work on CM10.1 as well...

Hey thanks for the camera But I got a small request for you.. Can you please make a camcorder fix for PAC-man ROM 4.2.2_Mango?
Here is the fix that got the camcorder working on pac-ROM Mango but the camera got inverted and the swipe keyboard function got disabled.

the camcorder problem is not a app problem, it exists on cm10.1 too, just needs this commit to be merged.

perhaps someone could put it on the PAC gerrit or manually merge it.
also iirc the inverted camera was due to the missing liboemcamera.so , this was back in gingerbread times when a rom had the problem..
not sure about this case though, but you can try it. get it form stock rom, push it to /system/lib and give 755 permission.

I have been using this camera mod for the past couple of weeks, and I have noticed a huge improvement in image quality. I'm using Lenovo Super camera v3.6.7 + the mod, and I personally think that the images are just as good as stock.

I can't confirm that for sure, but the laser does turn on in the back, and focus is super fast.
Been testing version 2 with blisspop, very happy with the image quality.

I would say it does as i haven't experienced any and i only tested in low light yesterday with v2.. Hope that helps

v1 & v2 are flashable zip files that edit the media profiles in system>etc
v5 is a flashable zip with multiple mods, such as audio, performance, and media profile edits.
v5 also has the option to install lenovo camera v4, but I personally use v3.6.7.

Flash v2 via recovery if you have Lenovo camera already installed.

i see laser flasing but it seem not work,
focus not correct some time it look blurry (out of focus)
speed not fast as stock

i think this mod just add some bravia engineer to better image, but camera perform (focus, take shot delay) seem not good

What ROM are you using?, and what camera application are you using?
That's strange because I can assure you that my camera has super laser like focus, and none of my pictures come out blurry.
Hi guys, the camera of this smartphone has a lot of potential but it is accompanied by an application and an software bad optimized.
The video lost frequently the focus.
I myself have noticed some small improvements by just changing applications.
is there any fix or some rom the camera system, ( especially during the video ) ?

Yes, the software and application are pretty bad.
And corner softness to the left and to the right is very present.
I modified the media_profiles.xml file to improve image quality of video.

The autofocus is bugged in video too, this is unusable. I hope an update soon.

Yes, i modified bitrate of video in 1080p and 4k. It's 42MB, i push that 100MB for 4k and 25MB for 1080p.

We hope they update the firmware and help resolve this issue soon. The phone has great hardware but the firmware is just crappy at the moment. Hopefully they can sort out some of these issues. And I would have preferred to have and option to turn on or off the drop down notification bar, not to be stuck with the left button trigger..if so annoying when you are used to basically most android phone have that notification drop down style.

I share with you my media_profiles.xml with some values for camera modified.
I have improve quality of image shoot at 100%.
Quality of 4k video and audio improve with bitrate boosted and same for 1080p.
For use this file you need to be root, the file most be placed in directory /system/etc/

I'm on stock rom 016s and I can shoot RAW with Open Camera in .dng format.
Just modify the build.prop as described in the thread "[TESTING] Camera 2 api", select the option for raw in Open Camera. For build.prop editing you need to be rooted.
The RAW files are about 41mb in size but strangely I cannot edit them with Snapseed. Will investigate on this.

I did all that mentioned, Manual Camera Compatibility app said it does support RAW now however, Camera FV-5 and Manual Camera itself do not work. The options are greyed out and the .dng that it created is not viewable in lightroom mobile. I did managed to get one but it does not look anything like 21mp at all! The pictures were all washed out. I just updated to cuoco92's latest 17s rom.

Just tried Open camera in raw and it's extremely laggy, the picture doesn't take after like 3-4 seconds after the button is pressed.

manual camera app raw does not work properly either. lightroom mobile cannot open the dng image it created.

What rom are you using because I used snap camera HDR and my raw looks purple looking on the phone itself and lightroom mobile cannot open it.

Hello guys,after many tries to make a LG G7 Camera Port for our LG V20 i am glad to be able to bring out a decent build!
What does this Port offer?
-Properly working manual mode with Graphy feature enabled.
-LG G7 Libraries for better and stable experience.
-Some Working G7 Features.
-Better Camera of course(As reported from Users,Better Processing)
Clear Dalvik/cache after installing through TWRP
Cause of the library limitation and the "heavy" configuration file for the G7 features require,enabling some features make others break.
So i removed some features that were causing the camera force close.

yes it will overwrite the old camera anyways gonna put an undo zip soon also so you can go back to the stock one for the v20
Is this build for nougat or oreo? Planning to flash and try to see if its any better than the stock v20 cam. Also can you include a stock camera zip? Wouldnt wanna reflash again and lose all data ?
EDIT: Flashed it and it works great! Graphy options seem pretty nice will try taking more photos tomorrow with better lighting

If you read the thread carefuly you'll understand why some things can't work but i am doing my best also overall i think it's better than stock as i have used both and the port seems way better on many things i've compared pics

When a Stock Pie Rom will be out this port can be used yes but if you mean LineageOs 16 no this camera can't be ported to any aosp cause of the different framework the Roms share

On a side note, if a developer releases custom camera libs for the V20 will it affect the app?

Always depends what libraries will be of the G7 or anything else i hope you get me and what i am trying to say.The needed libraries(for now) are already in the zip otherwise the cam could crash by using any feature,i got a stock G7 camera config everything will be easier to fix and we will get more features for sure.

There is a guy here with a thread who made custom libs for the V20 (nougat) that changes how the phone processes images, like less sharpening, slight vignette, stuff like that.
I think he is close to making his custom libs work for oreo so i was kinda wondering if i can replace the libs from the G7 port in the phone and have the G7 camera still work

does the camera really shoot 4K/1080p 60FPS? I see the option, but in Filmic pro evaluator, it says the camera is only capable of 30 FPS for 1080p and 4K video
