When is the update coming to the 2014 HD 7? Anyone know? It says October, but I can't seem to find any information anywhere, my HD 7 still says 4.5.5 is the most recent release, and I don't want to root.
Any ideas or anyone have any info? Thanks!

I've been hearing that the Vudu app (currently tablet only) is now working on the Galaxy S3 and S4 after the last app update on June 7th. I'm unable to try and pull the apk from my tablet to sideload it because my tablet isn't rooted. Would anyone be able to post a link to download the apk from somewhere other than the play store? Thanks in advance.

Wait, so which version are you wanting? The pre-June 6th version or the post-June 6th version? I have the updated version on my N7 but I think I may have a TiBu version of it that's older.

The post June 6th version is the one confirmed to work. Version 1.4.217 . I would appreciate it.

I cannot be the only one who is noticing something wrong with the quoted release for the tegra note, a couple of sources have claimed that it would be available early October, thing is its already October and we haven't heard anything definite.... anyone have any info?
waiting for this myself, and your right it has gone silent.... another delayed release?

I just picked up an tegra note 7 and am loving it when comparing it to my nexus 7 2013 it seems to blow it away as far as touch responsiveness and all together performance... I am not sure why all the negativity... Even with the 1gb of ram its killing my 2nd gen nexus 7 as far as web browsing gaming multitasking....
I found a way to root the superfly one tegra note and was wondering if anybody could shed some light on my situation. I was about to fastboot the insecure boot.img from the superfly tegra then I realized I should wait until I am able to get some info on this. Does anybody know if it is true that the evga note 7 comes with a unlocked bootloader also does anybody know if it would be ok to flash the boot.img from the flyone tegra..?? Thanks in advance for any info

I have an XT912 RAZR that has been flashed to work on Page Plus. Today I received an update notice for the system software. I read it's a maintenance release and the Android version 4.1.2 will not change. Will the update affect the flash? I have asked the "flasher" but haven't heard yet.

It did for me but the flasher reflashed it for free.
Just got the new kindle fire hd 6". Is it rootable?
Checking the system device, its running Fire OS 4.1.1 which is weird because my 7" says its running 11.3.1.0 but i think this kindle is the last generation and this 6" is the newer one.
The older one is rooted. Can i root the 6" yet or do i need to wait?

I tried doing some minor tests in fastboot mode trying to boot up a version of TWRP but the screen never turned on. Not sure if anyone is working on it. Too bad we do not have @Hashcode to help
It seems Amazon released the kernel source files for HD6 and HD7
sorry for the very naive question but can it be of any help in getting it rooted ?

Hey, this is my first thread, so apologies in advance if there is somewhere better I should post this. But anyways, I love my HDX, but I am getting pretty sick of Fire OS.
Now I noticed the stickied thread at the top, the warning of "You will brick this device", but I am confused. Is that referring to the newest (2014, fourth generation) HDX tablets, or the older years versions (2013, third generation), or both? I have the latter of the two and if it is that difficult to root than I can just deal with it, but if that only applies to this year's models, the newest ones, I'd love to give rooting this a try.

What version of Fire OS is it running? can you tell us the Build Version? to check it, goto Settings --> Device --> System Updates...
