[Q] OBB and APK file question

I am trying to install a game on my phone, but ran into a little trouble. I am putting the apk file on my ext-sd card and then put the obb file in the internal storage sdcard>android>obb folder and the game works fine. Problem is i dont want the 1gig obb file on my internal storage, I want it on my ext-sdcard. So, i removed the obb from the internal storage and put it in a folder i named obb in my extternal sd in the android folder. (same directory as my internal sd, except it the external sd). The game now wont load. Does the obb file have to be in the internal memory or am i doing something wrong when im trying to put it in the external sdcard?
thanks

Yeah that's not possible .Its how it is....only apk move to SD card not the app data. You shud just root and then use Folder mount
Low end phones are much better with root access

HELP.!!!!!!!
How can i move pre-installed apps to sd card??? My phone is rooted...
pre installed apps are usually placed in system folder
the updates of those apps can be moved to sd card using link2sd
in order to move the entire app to sd card, the system app should be converted to user app
heard about another app called folder mount with about the same usage, but personally haven't tried it yet
Movable with 4.4 api
0ok friends..i have read somewhere that app data can be moved if they are using the 4.4 api..
and i have installed frontline commando d day(mod)..its one single apk with the data, and it installed to sd card without using any internal memory.if anyone know how to make these apk please tell me or any games that are moving to sd card..fully...
plz inform.

There are numerous ways thru which u can put additional data or data in ext sd.
Foldermount(quick linking of folders but if u hv a lot of things to link then this is lengthy)
Gltosd(kind of like foldermount but u hv to put data in internal sd so foldermount wud be better but this is simpler to use)
Star memory Faker (replace ext and int sd card as detected by phone by pressing a button and after that u can just relax)
obbtosd xposed module (places all obb in ext sd card simple as that)

Make the obb folder in int sd leave it blank
Make a new folder in ext sd put all ur game data (obbs) here
Go to foldermount and navigate to obb in ur intsd and the folder u created in ext sd and select those locations
Then press ok
Then click the pin.

How do I move game files to external drive (install there?)

I was told that if I formatted my 128GB Flash Drive to NTFS I'd be able to move game OBB's there, how do I do this? I can't seem to find any option for it also is it now possible to install the games there?
Apps to SD
Hello, as far as I know the only way to move apps like gameloft games etc to your External SD is to root your device. once rooted you can use apps like GL2sd or alike to easily move them to and from your SD card.
Hope this helps.

make your external sd as your internal

CHANGE YOUR YOUR SD CARD MEMORY AS YOUR INTERNAL SD
YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING DONE
Your device must be rooted
install xposed apk from this link: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/de...v33_36570c.apk
install the xposed framework and perform a reboot
now you can see that xposed is installed
now go to downloads in the xposed installer app and search for xinternal sd,
download that and install it, after installing activate that module by checking it in the modules bar
perform a reboot
now install es file explorer and open it
now you can see that at first it will sdcard 01 which is your sd card
now go inside and check your android folder you will see all the obb and game data files in your sd.
HURRAY!!!!!
you now have all your apps installed in your sd.
note: if you go into a bootloop after flashing the xposed zip (find the zip according to your android version in the xposed forum, ex: you have to flash sdk-21 for android 5.0.2) you have to flash the xposed uninstaller zip in the recovery.
any queries can be asked freely.
THANKS

Please make sure that this works only when you have xposed framework installed in your device.
this module changes your path of internal sd to the external sd card .
so now on your external sd card will be very handy to you. all your downloads and apps will save data in internal but the path for your internal storage is your external storage and vice versa.
sorry for late reply.
HIT THE THANKS IF THIS HELPED YOU:good:
When I had Redmi 2 1/8 GB I tried this app.
But there was a limitation, I dont know if it wont move the APK or de DATA
The final solution was to use app2sd (full version). You have to buy the app (cheap) and make a ex4 partition at the SDcard.

Mainly apps and their data consume your phone's internal storage.....ad using this module you can save your internal as we all know that MIUI doesnt have Move to SD feature ...so this is very helpful
If this doesn't work out is always good if you use link2sd .
But make sure you don't mess up with your partitions.
nice
