The other two problems I have with the first build are that sometimes the screen does not turn on and I have to remove and put the battery back (this does not happen in cm13) and the other is that listening to music if I turn off the screen, the music stops , Either with the player that comes in cm14.1 or some downloaded.

I don't wanna ask you too much but... Can you build an aosp 7.1.2 rom also? with substratum if possible? It's already so nice that you keep maintaining ms013g and give us Lineage OS 14.1 when everyone left but it'll be even better if you build an aosp rom too. Don't get me wrong, i'm just saying, maybe giving you a suggestion. If you don't want or don't have time to build one, Lineage OS will do just fine for me. I'm always appreciated for all your efforts.

The cause of IR sensors not working should have been obvious by now. Wanna guess? Yeah Xiaomi proprietary sources. Even custom kernels that's working in MIUI(i.e KAT and extreme revolt kernel) have broken IR sensors.
So yeah IR sensor fix is at the mercy of Xiaomi. For all I know, it will never get fixed. It's up to the POCO team to prove me wrong.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Couple of bugs I noticed
The color calibration does not work. I am unable to make changes to any settings to make the display looks warmer , saturated or increase contrast .
Ear piece volume is fairly low.
Great work though ! Device has a fairly good battery life. .

Yes it has slightly above front camera

There is one build up for Chef here. There are currently no threads for that though. Hence currently no active dev will fix stuff but its just the begining!
