Camera not recording video. - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I have a problem with the camera on my S6 edge S925F.
I cannot record any video, either with the frontal camera or the back camera.
Shooting still pictures it's working good, but when I try to record a video it says that there is a problem with the camera.
I have tried to reset the camera app, cleared the cache, install another camera app. Nothing works.
I am on Tamerlan kernel, rooted and on POFC firmware.
Please help! Tx!

No one with the same problem?
I really don't know if it's a technical or a software problem. Help needed! Thx

S3 Video player issue

In the default video player when ever i play the video ( in vertical holding)in generally the video should align to the middle but mostly of the time(8 out of 10 times) it is aligning to the top .
I started observing this after the recent official update ,is there any solution for this ?, Does any one of you have the same issue ?
Try clearing the application data of the video player or download a better video player: MX Player.

MX Player is the best use it
Using an alternative video player isn't solving the issue though is it? MX Player solves the problem but doesn't look as polished as the stock player.
I've had the same problem as the OP since flashing different ROMs, it certainly wasn't a problem before. There is also the same problem with YouTube in portrait mode.
Have tried clearing data and factory reset but to no avail.
It is frustrating to say the least...

I also had the same problem. And I belIeve the camera app also had the same problem...I did fix the problem....flash the fastest Rom again and problem solved.
Have tried the latest stock ROM this morning and issue still present. It is however only present on AVI files, not mp4.

i love style of stock player but mxplayer is more powerfull
So this issue is in YouTube app, Camera app, Video Player app ... i guess it's related to root access ...

Any solution apart from installing a different ROM? Youtube gives me this problem. Quite annoying.

LgCamera Pro Freezes

I have a Samsung S ii (SGH-i777 model), and I really want to use LgCamera Pro to take videos, because I've seen how incredible the quality is using it. For some reason, it just keeps freezing or fail to capture videos when I press the record button. What could be the problem and what could I do to solve it. Please, I really want to use this app. Please help, anyone!
Undervolting or underclocking is usually the culprit for stuff like this, you could also try clearing the app data. I use camera zoom app and it works for me.
Don't work for me also.

If you are having this issue with multiple apps then I would suggest try another rom or flash back to stock and see if it is still doing it. If it is I suspect its a hardware issue at that point.
its not doing it in stock it works on 4.0.4 roms except on 4.1 n up...there's a thread that shows to delete galley2.apk and install the new camera 4.3 but it's still the same...I have no clue what to do...are any of you experiencing the same issue? like develepors or is there a rom I can use that will work correctly? I know ICS roms are really stable and everything works fine but in order for instagram video to work it needs 4.1 n up...that's why i'm looking for a rom that's 4.1 n up with video recoding working...thnx for reading guys....highly appreciated!

Anyone thinking of installing the Google Gallery camera app, don't 1080p FC's.

Anyone who has a P769 should be warned that the new Google Camera/Gallery APK has a major flaw on this phone.
I can't seem to find a fix for the google camera app to allow 1080p to work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340858
If you attempt to change the video record mode to 1080p, you'll end up getting force closes. It just doesn't work.
Why use it? If you are using stock android 4.1.2, you are better off using the stock LG video recording app since 1080p works.
Also, Photo sphere just doesn't work in anything less then 4.2 either for obvious reasons.
Good to know thank you.

By your comment I'm confused if you are talking about the same phone???
Anyways, assuming you are talking about Xiaomi Mi3, the stock camera app itself is good enough... If you are using digital zoom then i suggest not to do that because no matter which phone camera you use digital zoom makes it look grainy...
Also check if the resolution has been changed in the settings...
Restore to default setting if something has been changed and try again...
Cheers...

I'm using stable version MIUI-KXDMIBE 18.0.1 i.e., with root...
I've heard the dev ROM has some problems with Google camera, maybe 4.8.15 might solve your problem...
