I did some research. Looking at the fstab.shamu file in their github force encryption has been disabled.
https://github.com/PureMarshmallow/android_device_moto_shamu/blob/mm6.0/fstab.shamu
I think where is says
wait,check,formattable,encryptable shows its been disabled...
If it says
wait,check,formattable,forceencrypt you have to worry...

Only issue I've noticed is Volte on Verizon doesn't work. LTE drops out when you make a call. Everything else is working fine.

Best M ROM I've flashed yet....great job.

Awesome. Glad to see more ROMs.
Oh yes...
This is the rom I was waiting for... Thank you for the build.
So I guess the phone app crashes are solved.
Do you already have the checkin regarding the disk encryption metadata, or did you build before that?
Well it's 3:20am where I live so I guess I will sleep first, but I already know what I will be doing when I wake up.
I loved this ROM on Nexus 5.

Woot woot! AOKP has always been my favorite. I have to download this one right away! Subscribed for life!
Need some feedback guys (things working, not working, things missing...)
I know it's very early and I'm sure those things will come eventually, but the biggest problem I had with it was, that there were no device specific options.
No way to turn of the capacitive buttons completely, when using onscreen buttons.
I think no dt2w option aswell and a few others.
But besides the already mentioned phone app crashing bug and a few device specific things missing it was as great as aokp always is.

Ah, I may hold off until that gets implemented then, as that is one of the special features of this phone that I love the most. I love all of the device specific tricks it does.

What's the difference between these builds and others?
I will be merging major fixes, features, etc. before they are merged into the actual source. I will be getting a majority of them through http://review.cyanogenmod.org and possibly from other major ROM sources (Slim, Paranoid [if they're still alive D:], Omni, etc). I will also be making some changes to the kernel like adding MultiROM support and similar features. Once things get going in terms of Official support from the CM team, I may change this project into something else or drop it all together. The goal of this is to give you guys the most stable CM13 builds without changing much.

YouTube app does not work
MultiWindow is hella buggy

As per what i suspected, media_codecs.xml in /system/etc is the culprit for the sound issue. Took the file from L build fix the issue for me. Attached the file if anyone wants it as facing the same issue with me. Dont forget to rename the file to media_codecs.xml.

Build won't boot at all or is it hit and miss case and there is chance of booting?
I don't know but I tried flashing the ROM only, using twrp 2.8.6.0.6 which so far hasn't caused any issues and sat looking at the blue face of the "cm dude" for about 10 minutes with the phone stone cold.
Edit: forgot to mention flashed latest cm12.1 nightly beforehand to update firmware.
One of these days we will get there....

It's more like it is hit or miss with the source :/. There shouldn't be a problem booting it if it's not a source problem.

DEVICE DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE. TESTING ON THE SPECIFIC DEVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO TESTERS
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested ON HAMMERHEAD, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.
And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. angler, bullhead, flo, mako, SHAMU builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing shamu builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.
That said, welcome aboard!

@KreAch3R I'm glad you left the double tap to wake feature in. To be honest, I like this feature when it is automatically included in the ROM rather than have to try and either find a custom kernel or use kernel auditor.

That was the reason I wanted to leave it in, too. Krexus tries to never deviate from stock, only fix/include necessary stuff. I'm glad it works well now, it seems that I was missing some commits on the device tree, but I found them after @BeansTown106 let me know about them.
This is one of the best stock rooted ROMs out and runs great. Thank you for bringing it to us here on XDA.

No. Don't know what causing this issue. Somehow the install button is kind of disabled. Not reacting to my touch. On the other hand, cancel button to the left is working perfectly. [emoji21]

Hi.
This is a very good ROM. Though, is the tri-state button not working?

Hello,
This is really a good rom, loved it.
Few issues though, firefox isn't working it gives a black screen whenever I am scrolling.
Also is there a way to disable the hardware keys and only use the on screen keys?

Well, @m_vaisakh is on a year long hiatus, so I doubt he'll be able to continue, but why don't you take a shot at building? It's rather easy, and we can all help ya out. You should consider joining the Cedric telegram group too, here's the link https://t.me/joinchat/FmglX0SA7yShdonbh2yDYQ

Guys who make roms aren't called devs really, but maybe you could call me one since I developed PolyOS. And it's never too late to compile your first rom
(PS: The guys who compile roms are called builders)
