Purchase 2 chromecasts and get $12 in play credit ($6/chromecast) - Google Chromecast 2015

Purchase 2 chromecasts and get $12 in play credit ($6/chromecast) - Works for chromecast audio too.
It's US only and I'm not sure if it's still working. Some are reporting it's working and others didn't receive the promotion.

Awesome, I was just about to ask about freebies and rewards for the new chromecast. The first gen chromecase had a ridiculous amount of free movie, play credit, services that it literally paid for the unit cost to me. Think I got about 3 free movie rentals in total

Best Way to Pay! An App to use while waiting for Google Wallet.

Hello! I just noticed this new app being promoted around my city (Boston) and it is quite awesome!
The App is called LevelUp
It is by the makers of SCVNGR (I haven't used that one)
Anyway this app is awesome because not only is it a fast and easy way to pay, but it also gives you great deals as well as some awesome rewards! Plus it is cheaper for businesses to use than credit cards.
So once you sign up, you add your credit card and then show your generated QR code at the store. You can even select a tip.
Now only stores in select cities are using this so far:
Boston, NYC, Philly, and San Francisco.
So if you live here you should definitely get this app!
Here is the best part (and a great tip for those in Boston):
The first time you pay in a store, you get money off of your purchase, then the more you pay at that store with LevelUp, the more money off you get.
For example. In Boston there is a place called Sebastian's. The first time you go there with LevelUp, you have a $10 credit. So get all the food you can under $10 and watch as you don't pay a dime. Then, after you spend $50 (including your first free $10) you get $5 off your next purchase.
Also if you are interested here is a Promo code that will give you an extra $5 towards any purchase: 59840
Have fun Everyone! and keep an eye out for the LevelUp stickers in store windows!
Would be nice. I happen to not live in a big city and have been looking for a payment solution similar to Google Wallet. Maybe when ICS gets pushed to devices it will be compatible with more phones. Not sure why though since GB was supposed to be fully functional for this type of service.
Well even if we had Google Wallet, we would need NFC, and then retailers would need to buy nfc readers. I don't see it becoming prevalent for a few years. This already has a head start and gives you free money! lol
So. Someone steals my phone and goes on a shopping spree.... no thank u

True. And if you guys haven't heard someone already hacked Google Wallet with ability to steal card numbers. However, it is no different if someone steals your wallet or just the credit card number. Last two cards I have had (personal and business) someone got ahold of the number and went shopping online. So really, it can happen either way. Just have to make sure your lockscreen is active.
We'll never get wallet due to lack of NFC but I also own a NS4G and you'd really be surprised at the places it works. Next time you go the the grocery story check out the card swiper. Most have a lump at the top for mastercard tap and pay fobs. Those are NFC points and work great. Now that I look for it, im seeing them a lot. I've even paid for gas at the pump with it.

[Q] How do you buy contents in US Play Store if you don't have a US credit card?

It's been two years and until yesterday, I was still able to use my Australian credit card to purchase apps in their USD price by setting a US billing address in Google Wallet. But today it failed. This means, I will no longer able to purchase US market-only apps in the future.... sad.
Last year it were all good, I can even buy music in this way (through VPN + Market Enabler). Since this year, I found Google has gradually blocked fake address non-US credit card from buying in US Play Store. And all market enabler apps have been removed from Play Store now.
I'm just wondering, at this stage, is there still any way to purchase in US store, in US dollar, if you don't have a US credit card? Many thanks!

update:
in Google Wallet, the error message saying like this. Is that possible this issue caused by other reason?
Google has cancelled your order. You won't be charged.
Reason: Took too long to deliver
Comments from Google: "auto cancelation"

What are your favorite PAID APPS?!

Just got a $25 Google Play giftcard from my GF as a part of my Valentine's Day gift (part 2 will be the Galaxy Gear 2 when it comes out!).... so my question to you guys is what are some of your favorite paid apps for your Android?!
PS- I don't really play games on my phone, so game recommendations are appreciated, but I probably won't buy any!

[Q] [US] Where is the best place to get the Nexus 9?

Do you think I'll get it faster if I get it on Google Play instead of Amazon?
Not sure to be honest. But if you are paying $9.99 from play store Amazon in the other hand will upgrade your delivery for that price, so i guess Amazon would be quicker.
I paid £3.33 for first class delivery shipping 1 to 2 days latest ETA 5th November.
I paid 3.99 for overnight shipping from amazon so you can't beat that.
buy from amazon if you want to get it a bit faster, but any warranty exchanges/rma will go through htc for any third party purchase.
Purchasing from google play means that google will handle alll warranty claims/rma. They will 2 day ship the NEW device, and you ship back the defective device back to google.

I second this-- I fully expect Amazon to be faster, however I had such a great experience with Google customer support for my N5 that the additional shipping charges/potential wait time are worth it to me.
In case you're curious: In September, Google started offering free, no questions asked replacements for N5 owners. I had about two weeks left of the one year warranty by the time I heard about it, and they took back my cracked N5 with zero hassle. I received the replacement overnight, and they released the hold on my credit card the day after I shipped back the broken device. This courtesy replacement service was ONLY available to play store customers.

+1. The same reason I went with Google. Their customer service can't be beat. If you don't go with Google you'll probably have to deal with HTC for warranty. That was the scenario with the n5

Ya my n7 I bought at staples had problems and it was a nightmare dealing Asus directly. My n5 bought directly from the play store was a breeze to RMA. Worth a day and $10 to me if needed.
If you live in Canada and buy the N9, is the price shown the Canadian price? As well, does it ship from Canada or do I have to pay duties as well?
Otherwise I may order from Amazon Canada to get around duties.
Google play, Best Buy, Amazon, HTC all charge tax in California
Is there a place to order from in order to avoid tax in California?
I haven't pre-ordered yet in hopes that I can just pick one up from my local Best Buy on the morning of the 3rd. Am I fooling myself thinking that they'll actually be in the stores on that day?

Same boat for NY. I'm more than likely just going to wait for some other vendor to pop up later that doesn't want to hit me for an extra 40 bucks for tax. Maybe an eBay vendor selling sealed.
I can't see nexus 9 in shops on the 3rd, that's why I ordered from Google play.
Hmm do you think Newegg is good? I don't have to pay tax with them.

My experience with NewEgg as a merchant has been positive, they're a serious online retailer (granted, it's being a long time since I purchase something from them).

Best Buy price matching Verizon, $99 PLUS free $50 Google Play!

Guys ymmv. I was just able to order from best buy a lg g watch for $99. She said they don't normally honor apple and other carriers but they wood override it. Awesome deal!
Congrats! I am planning on stopping in to best buy, I'll try and get a price match there. Hopefully they can do it
I tried to get a price match at bedt buy using the google play store and they wouldnt. They arent prive matching black friday items.
So i bought it anyways. They said i had till january to orice match or return. I figured it get to 99 again this month. Also if i dont end up likinh it i still have a month which is nice.
Got in the car and googled it and found this post. Went back in and talked to customer service. Verizon is not a black friday deal, so they matched it.
Went back to car and redeemed the google credit and that all worked as well.
So i got the google deal basically and have the watch in my hands now.

You make sure they have your email address at checkout. Then you get the $50 offer with your receipt and a copy emailed to you.
BestBuy already has $50 Play credit for the LG G Watch and most other android wear too.
I am going to try this Verizon matching thing, but I have not yet.
Good luck to all.

Bought the white LG g watch today but would not price match Verizon due to being the black Friday holiday. I plan on going by Tuesday and doing a refund and rering with price match.

? What? Thanks man! Calling in for price adjustment!
Sent from my Verizon LG G3 using Tapatalk
Just came back from my local BB and got the last 2 in stock! Saw it was sold out online and they didn't pick up the phone since it seemed a lot of people on hold ahead of me. Saw the reddit thread that people went in the store and found some. Got a black and a white, both for the 80 bux price each and the google play credit too Time to set it up!!
Yeah calling did me no justice in getting the $20 price difference credited. They said since it's out of stock and since they already did one price adjustment, and that since I already redeemed the Google play gift card, even buying one at a store now and returning the first order wouldn't work. I'm going to call back once more tomorrow and if I get tips no ill live with it.
Now lol had I paid 149 on Thursday and not $99 I'd be livid if they didn't adjust it.
It's interesting to see on best buy that the $50 Google play egift card says it's for Google wallet. I was able initially thinking the money could be used for merchandise or maybe possibly even on Google wallet transactions. But I'm not gonna complain!

Back in stock on bestbuy.com! Get them while they are hot!
sold out again
Wasn't clear from reading this... will Verizon do a price refund/adjustment to match BestBuy (ordered one for $100 online Thursday)? Also, will Verizon give the $50 Google Play credit (is it Google Play and BestBuy only)?
EDIT: chatted with Verizon sales rep... they do NOT price match. they do NOT have the Google Play $50 credit. No stocking fee on accessory returns : 1-800-922-0204, they are available between 6am and 11pm.
I was lucky for my wife to get the last one at $79. Cant be happier
Groupon.com has it too for $80 but I think without a Play Store Credit

How can we find out if Google would provide the $50 Google Play credit to LG G Watch buyers from stores other than GooglePlay and BestBuy?

the $50 credit is on your receipt from best buy you have to put in a redeem code at the play store.
Just got back from the store. They price matched the 79.99. This was also already on top of my first price match of 149 to 99.
One clerk said they can't do it since its a cyber monday sale and they didn't have it in stock. I told them that it was on sale yesterday. So they tried to see if they could do it anyways and they were able to. The other clerk liked the price and is now pondering on trying to get one online if it comes back in stock.
The play store credit does have the code on the original receipt for those that were curious on how you claim it. At least how its done if you purchased in store.
