Remove "Unlocked" banner & all the tampering? - AT&T HTC One (M9)

Hey Guys,
So... just got this AT&T HTC One M9. ...overcharged my M8 battery & broke it. It sucks, don't do it... unplug that sh$&t!
Anyway, I've unlocked my bootloader & rooted the M9 & will soon s-off. On Stock ROM 5.1. Is there a way to alter the following:
In BOOTLOADER MODE: (1) Software Status: Modified (2) Unlocked (3) S-Off.
And in DOWNLOAD MODE: (1) *** UNLOCKED *** (2) S-OFF
Similar to these methods for the M8: [how to] remove your "tampered" banner & the Faux Locked Hboots section of ★ ☆ [MOD] Remove Red Text on Splash Screen | m8 hboots | ALL Variants | L
Any help would be very much appreciated! I really do love XDA so much... you guys have been with me through ALL the phones :victory:

[Q] bootloader locked vs unlocked??

I am coming from a long line of HTC phones, never had a motorola phone. Always had CWM on my phones, etc...
Correct me if im wrong.
With a locked down booatloader, we can only have roms based on OTA updates?
Custom roms are not possible because of locked bootloader?
One can not use the source of ICS, GB, or froyo and create a rom for a device with a locked bootloader?
AOSP (CM) won't work with a locked bootloader because it has a custom kernel, and a custom kernel needs an unlocked bootloader?
So what are the current rumors regarding the bootloader unlock(not bootstrap)?
Will there be an unlock tool from moto or are we waiting for some kind of exploit?
I am in the last few days where i can return this device for something else.
I do not want to be stuck with a locked down device. (looking at the Rezound forum..there seems to be more hope)
your thoughts...
thanks.
Good question! Wished I new all the answers.

#1 - No, there is a workaround called 2nd-init that lets us change everything except the kernel. Just look at DROID X/2/2 GLOBAL.
#2 - Custom roms are very possible either way, even without 2nd-init
#3 - If you can add 2nd-init, then you may. otherwise you need to work backward or forward from moto firmwares.
#4 - Cyanogen uses 2nd-init on devices with locked bootloaders. Some features require kernel changes (2D hardware acceleration for example) otherwise, it will work fine.
#5 - Rumor is that unlock is coming with ICS for international devices, not VZW though.
#6 - See above. VZW will need an exploit or an edit of the international unlock.
Someone has been reading the blogs.
And I see it in the comments all the time... OMG LOCKED BOOTLOADER I WANTED TO FLASH A ROM.
Although I'm not seeing anything yet, but give it time, it will happen.

[SOLVED][Q] Unlocked and S-ON

Hello everyone!
I come from these two threads: 'Sim card and boot loops' and 'Help - waiting for device and bootloop'...
This time I'm puzzled about the status of my flyer. After unlocking it at htcdev.com I noticed that it's *** unlocked *** and S-ON at the same time.
What does it mean? Or what's the different between the two? And what impact does it have on installing costum roms?
Don't thank me thank globatron these are his comments
Q: What does S-OFF give me that HTC unlock doesn't?
A: Full read/write access to all useful partitions.
Q: What else does S-OFF give me that HTC unlock doesn't?
A: The ability to flash custom roms without flashing boot images from booted android.
Q: What else does S-OFF give me that HTC unlock doesn't?
A: The ability to have custom software without having to waive your warranty.
Q: What else does S-OFF give me that HTC unlock doesn't?
A: The ability to install any regional ROMS without a goldcard.
Q: What else does S-OFF give me that HTC unlock doesn't?
A: Greedy much? What else do you want?
Q: Can I return to S-ON for warranty purposes?
A: Yes, a procedure will be in post 3 when I get to it, if you ask in the thread I will not answer this question.
Q: Why do I have to S-OFF in GB before going to HC?
A: Because that's where the exploit works, once we have access to hboot in any version we can patch hboots for later releases.
Well thank you for directing me to globatron words on the subject.
this is globaltron thread u can check it

[Q] Help: OneX+ stuck at HTC logo after update

I received the notification of the 4.2.2 update and started downloading the 400+ MB for. After download was complete, the phone restarted and was installing the update. After the installation, the phone restarted and now is stuck at HTC One logo..
I searched google and tried to clear cache by going into fastboot and that didn't work.
The phone is completely stock and not rooted. I am able to access fastboot but not the recovery since it's locked..
I would not want to lose the data and hence was wondering if by using fastboot i can install the OTA update? I am not sure if this would work and hence need some help. I tried searching the forum but as of now no OTA zip file is available for CID 38 (India). Anyone has any suggestions on where can i find it from and will it actually work?
Thanks..

I have the same problem, but after trying to gain root, phone rebooted to a (\) sign and managed to get it stuck at HTC quietly brilliant. .Read that you need to flash latest RUU and it can fix it, but I can't find the file anywhere, and not sure which version I need.
HTC One X+ AT&T
I'm also waiting for the file to be uploaded. Even HTC Dev website does not have the latest files as of now. If you are waiting for the complete RUU it would be advisable to download it from HtC dev. Else if you have successfully rooted and unlocked your bootloader, try installing any custom rom..

I have Android Revolution ROM downloaded, but can't figure out how to install from zip, since when I goto recovery I get an error screen, then it jumps back to Quietly Brilliant
So I think you are getting the red triangle with exclamation sign. I see the same thing and from what i know, that is because the recovery is locked. If u can let go of the data in your phone, you can unlock the recovery and install any ROM you wish too.. You can refer to the thread regarding unlocking bootloader and installing roms.

I haven't been able to find a ROM that isn't international, I'm on AT&T. I've got a custom recovery on now, am able to access file system wipe/etc. Bootlocker is unlocked, and I have su.
Close to fixing this, now either need official AT&T stock ROM, or a custom ROM compatible with at&t.

Try searching the forums. I found 2 for AT&T as soon as I opened up the "Original Android Section". Try searching for more..

I don't think this tool will help you.
To get the OTA, you just need a stock ROM and return to stock recovery. If you are sure the ROM is actually fully stock (nothing modified, like added or removed system apps like bloatware), then you just need to get the right stock recovery back on the phone.
Or just relock the bootloader (not required if you are s-off) then RUU to 4.4.4.
OTA Update ?
Forget bout the ota, Um how can i use the tool to root it?

Short answer: You don't.
WinDroid hasn't been updated for a long time, and you will run into the same issues as I've noted for Hasoon's toolkit. The recommendation is the same: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61777634&postcount=46
Seriously, just ditch the toolkits. The steps are easy to do "manually" and you learn some valuable skills, such as how to use fastboot, install custom recovery, etc.
Toolkits just add an unnecessary layer of complication, and an additional point of failure. Even when the toolkits were up to date, I've seen cases where folks had problems with tasks failing (installing custom recovery, root, etc.) with the toolkits; but when they followed my advice to just do the steps "manually", it worked perfectly.

How do I get S-OFF?

Hi, thanks for passing by. I'm pretty new here so please do tell me if I do anything bad/wrong. (I don't know why I use this much grammar as a 12 year old.. Meh, i'm probably just used to it that's why.)
So why am I here and why did I create an account? Simple, I needed quite some help with my Evo 3D. (that I somehow randomly found in my house lol) Okay so yeah, here I go.
What I need help with:
1. Knowing if it's a "GSM" or "CDMA". (I think it's a GSM, cause someone posted this and my Evo 3D's inside looks exactly the same as the GSM one shown.)
2. S-OFF-ing it. (As i'm seriously confused on what to exactly do would be the best.)
3. Rooting it. (Optional, as I already know KingRoot and other rooting apps.)
About phone:
Phone name - HTC EVO 3D X515m
IMEI - 356871041413398
IMSI - 466056001480413
Android version - 4.0.3
HTC Sense version - 3.6
Software number - 3.28.921.3
Kernel version - "3.0.16-ge733189" "[email protected] #1" "SMP PREEMPT"
Baseband version - 11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M
Build number - "3.28.921.3" "CL388707" "release-keys"
Current HBoot "stuff":
*** UNLOCKED ***
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.53.0007
eMMC-boot

If I didn't put some kind of other information about my device or stuff, please tell me and I shall give it.
FAQ:
Are you sure about this?
- Yes, i'm sure to do what it takes to get a successful root on my Evo 3D.
Do you know the consequences if you make a mistake?
- Of course, warranty void, might brick device etcetera..
Did you do any modifications?
- Yes, I did factory reset and unlocked bootloader using the HTC Dev thingys.
Did you backup?
- No, as I don't really mind losing my apps and stuff. Which then I can just install them again whenever I wish.
Why?
- Is it neccesary to tell you the reason why I wanna root it?
Any help would be appreciated. ~ X4R
Nevermind
Right, so I won't be needing any help with this now. As i've rooted it without having to get S-OFF.
