Q5). How long should the boot animation last?
Any solutions, answers, comments, or links will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time and help!
Best Regards,

Answering my own question above after successfully changing the boot animation manually.
Q1). Where the boot animation zip file is found?
It is found at: /Cust/Preinstalled/Public/Media
Q2). What is the name of the boot animation zip folder?
The name of the file is "bootanimation.zip".
Q3). What is the required permission of the boot animation?
The required permission is: (rw-r-r)
Q4). What is the resolution required for the boot animation?
Taking Honor 7 into consideration, you need to have your resolution set to (1080 x 1920 pixels).
Q5). How long should the boot animation last?
It should not last more than 10-12 seconds at most.
To change your boot animation, do the following:
1. Root up your phone.
2. Backup your phone.
3. Backup the file "bootanimation.zip".
4. Create your own animation or download one online.
5. Compress your newly created animation and name it like the original name.
6. Upload your newly created animation using a file explorer that accepts root level changes.
Always keep a full backup of your data before trying anything. I hope this helps!

We're is the root folder and the name of file please ?

[SOLVED][Q] xmp stock ics boot animation mod

Hi,
Is there any mod, which has the stock android 4 boot animation (like this)
I found this Thread, but he stopped developing and I love the stock boot animation. Is there one I can flash with cwm?
Thx
Michael
You only need root access and some file manager to change your boot animation. CWM is not necessary.
Use file manager that can mount system partition (probably need to check 'allow mounting system partition' in the settings) and replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip with your own custom animation (of course you should rename/backup your old/original bootanimation file just in case). Afterwards set permission of bootanimation.zip file to rw/r/r.
Ask creator of that thread to send you bootanimation.zip file, and you're set to go. Also there are tools for that, so if you want to, you can create an animation yourself.
I changed my boot animation few days ago, using this thread. Hope it helps you.
Thanks a lot a few minutes before I had found the windows boot animation too.
Here's a very nice site for boot animations. I'll try some

[Q] Possible disabling of boot animation?

Hi all,
I have Xperia U running on ICS. I found in folder structure \System\media\ file "bootanimation.zip" which contains .png files of boot animation. My questions:
1, can I remove boot animation by simple deleting this .ZIP file?
2, or where is some config file which calls this .ZIP file? Maybe I can somewhere disable running boot animation by simpy changing "Yes" value to "No" or something like that...
Thank you,
Rado

In many rom's bootanimation is present in the form of a ZIP Archive file! its bootanimation.zip in the media folder of system partition.. Just delete that.. Or if you only want to disable the bootanimation
Put this is build.prop in the /system partition:
Code:
debug.sf.nobootanimation = 1
This may not work with every device.. But trying isn't that bad

How to Change Boot Animations on rooted Galaxy S7 (Guide)

So I've been rooted on APE1 and have been tweaked everything from my status bar to my navigation keys, and I realized I hadn't changed my boot animation yet. So I went out and googled how to do it, and sure enough changing your boot animation is possible and pretty easy too. So here's what you need to do.
1. Download an alternative boot animation, I've used animations from here: http://androidbootanimation.com/category/samsung-qmg-boot-animations/
And of course the sweet boot animation from the Stang5Litre ROM:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224409429
2. Download a root browser, I personally use Root Browser from JRummy Apps.
3. Grant it root access and keep tapping the two dots (underneath which it says parent folder till you reach the root of your phone.
4. Click system, then click media.
5. Scroll till you find these files.
SPR_shutdown.qmg
SPR_bootsamsungloop.qmg
SPR_bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
shutdown.qmg
6. Move these files out of the system/media folder to your SD card if you're replacing both the shutdown and boot animation (I created a folder called boot animation in my SD card):
SPR_shutdown.qmg
SPR_bootsamsungloop.qmg
SPR_bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
shutdown.qmg
6b. Or move these files out of the system/media folder to your SD card if you're replacing just the boot animation (I created a folder called boot animation in my SD card):
SPR_bootsamsungloop.qmg
SPR_bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
7. Extract the boot animation you downloaded earlier and copy the files which are labeled like this this if you're replacing the boot animation and shutdown animation:
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
shutdown.qmg
Or like this if you're simply replacing the boot animation:
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
8. Paste them into the system/media folder.
9. Long press the files you copied, and click permissions.
10. Set the read as allowed for owner, group, and others. Set the write and execute as allowed for only the owner for all 3 files if you're replacing both the startup animation and the shutdown, or for two of the files if you're replacing only the startup.
11. Click ok.
12. Ensure all three or two files are there and have the right permissions.
13. Reboot, and you should see your new boot up and shutdown animation.
Credit goes to @stang5litre and @gadget! For the Stang5Litre boot animation, it's not my work.
Also the animations from: www.androidbootanimation.com are not mine and belong to their respective owners.
Hit Thanks if it helped and feel free to ask questions, and please don't quote the entire OP.

[Boot Animation] Google Boot Animation With Sound for Moto G 2014

Hey Folks,
Lately, I've been searching for a boot animation which has sound in it and produces sound during boot. Recently my friend gave me one boot animation which has sound in it, I have tested this animation on my MOTO G 2014 (TITAN) and it does produce sound during boot.
Tested this animation on AOSP Extended 3.0 & 3.1 ROMs & Resurrection Remix 5.8.1 for TITAN and in both the ROMS it worked fine
Here is what I found when I manually opened "bootanimation.zip" file with WinRAR, it contains part0, part1, part2 directories and a file named desc.txt which normally bootanimations have, but what I found new was that each part folder contains trim.txt which later I found that it contains data for coordinates of image to be placed on the screen while running boot animation.
The another thing which I found in the part2 folder was an audio file named "audio.wav". This file contained the audio which gets produced when the part2 of boot animation gets executed. Later I manually converted some random song to .wav and renamed it to "audio.wav" and put that file in part1 instead of part2, when I installed the boot animation, it worked
So in order to have sound on boot animation read How to do this below
HOW TO DO THIS:
1. You need a working boot animation which has frames and folders like "part0, part1, part2" and a desc.txt file. (This may also work on some STOCK ROMS, but I'm not sure).
2. Convert your favorite audio into WAVE (.wav) format and rename it to "audio.wav"
3. Put your "audio.wav" into any of the part folders i.e. in part0 or in part1, it doesn't matter because when boot animation runs that part it will produce sound
4. Compress the part0,part1,part2 & desc.txt to a zip file with no compression i.e. 0 compression and name it "bootanimation.zip"
5. Copy your modified "bootanimation.zip" to /system/media (Make sure to backup your original one)
6. Change file permissions to ( rw- r-- r--) and reboot your phone.
Tadaaa Now You'll Have a Bootanimation With SOUND.
I don't know the duration or length of audio to put inside boot animation, let me know if you find this, till then enjoy boot animation with sound
I've attached a link of a bootanimation. This one is same as AOSP Extended ROM's BootAnimation but with sound

Umm Ok.. Please make sure that the audio file is in .WAV format, no other file format works. Secondly make sure to compress zip file using PC, files compressed in android create problems. I've used WINRAR to make zip files and that works for me fine and make sure to have ZERO compression, if using winrar, I've attached screenshots.
If none of the above works, then compress the file using Boot Animation Factory you can download it and also learn how to use it from HERE

Alright bro, here you go, THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP, and this is compiled for XT1068 whose resolution is 720x1280, to use this, extract the zip file, reboot your phone into bootloader mode and using fastboot flash the file, use the command:
Code:
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
MFASTBOOT is used for motorola phones to flash files in fastboot mode I don't know the reason, but in my case fastboot worked too
I MUST WARN YOU USE AT YOUR OWN RISK BUDDY, ALL THE BEST :good:
