Hey guys, i have tmo V10 and i need builtIn FM Radio.
So a friend of mine has bought H961N V10 variant that is HK Variant. It has stock FM Radio app.
I've tried to install it on us TMO and it install succesfully but i don't see final app on laucher. Maybe needs something else.
Here the file : link
Here the H961N System Pull

Don't we need the fm radio (antenna)? I turned it on through build.prop, but next radio didn't work. I'm thinking now, I may have forgot to reboot. I'm going to try again.

write them you too on Twitter

They will enable it? How though? They don't have any information from you. Personally, I don't use FM radio, but I'm just curious and like to learn.

It's not enabled in the ramdisk. I've gone as far as getting the proper init.rc file to enable it and repacked the ramdisk. Now I just need to get the se permissions set right for it and I'll know for sure if it works or not. It is already enabled in the stock kernel just wasn't linked/enabled

Can't wait for your work around FM.
Try stock FM radio app or NextRadio too

Gotta find the fmservice.jar and get the link in seservice for the ramdisk and I'm hoping it will work out. It would be easier if I had the boot.img from one of the v10s that it works on.

I asked this to T-Mobile here is the reply
So i asked T-Mobile when they would upgrade the firmware to unlock the FM Radio on LG V10. Following is the screenshot of the reply:

Not sure how true that is. It seems like they might be misunderstanding. Lg apparently has the fm radio enabled, it works in Korea I believe.

Didn't T-Mobile publicly state that they were encouraging manufacturers to enable the FM radio in their phones? I remember reading this a few months ago.

So, how did you get root? Did you start rooted on MI1 and then update to MJ7 (4.3)? If so, then that's already known - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504408
If you rooted a stock MJ7 device, I'm very interested in how,

Ah vroot - the Chinese malware "root" program.
Please read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434453&page=6 - notice that the creators of this have no valid explanation why it modifies the registry and Internet Explorer configuration, and apparently why afterwards your phone is calling home to China for command and control.
Until there's a better explanation, I'd avoid this like the plague that it apparently is.

Until this method is verified to be working safely and without malware, I would advise everyone not to use this method. This thread and any other are to be closed on sight. Please report them to the moderation team.

They work fine. I've been using the 5x5_5x5 version, with no problems. Just extract the app from the zip, and use Root Explorer to overwrite SecLauncher4.apk, in /system/app. (Make a backup of your original SecLauncher4.apk, first)

Yes ma'am. Straight as it comes. It even has that annoying (to me) swipe up from the bottom of the screen "my magazine". As far as I know, if you install it with root explorer, it shouldn't affect knox. I don't really care about knox, I tripped mine as soon as I got the phone.

I don't know why you can't delete it. Maybe you can rename it something like SecLauncher4.odex.bak, and leave it there?

I bet we get 4.4 first. With any fixes that update has baked in.
But then again wishful thinking on my part. Now that most everything works on 4.3 I want some 4.4 to play with.

Yeah, international updates mean almost nothing to our phone, especially when it's the Exynos version.
^^^ This ^^^ and they will almost certainly render your US device useless.
I suggest you do not try it, if you do, own you mistake and do no defraud your carrier.

It's hidden in the native messaging app, but I believe that you need to be rooted. Either the rom includes it, or you can set it in Wanam.
Messing app, open main screen, hit menu key, select advanced, far right tab select "More," under block labeled "Notification Settings," tick the box that is labeled "Screen On."
