Galaxy S6: Bricked After Trying To Install Xposed - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Pretty sure i bricked this to no repair.
So got my Sprint s6 edge few months ago and rooted it a week after. Sadly i dont know what i used rom wise to root it since its been a month+. Sadly i reformated pc awhile back so can't see the files i used.
Got bored and wanted to try and install xposed to add some new features to my phone. So just tried and i'm prety sure i bricked it hard...
what i followed
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-xposed-framework-your-samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0163918/
It said make a recovery so i did by following
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-custom-recovery-your-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0161619/
I did what he did and after it asked for a reboot i rebooted and it got stuck on samsung boot logo saying "Recovery not SEANDROID Enforcing" in top left corner.
So i googled how to remove root and how to get past this screen and many suggested stock rom. I tried that and odin (v3.09) wont get past "Write NAND!"
I let it set for 20 minutes and nothing happened so i googled and everyone claimed trying different usb hubs and cables so i did that. I've tried every usb hub on my pc(8) and all 3 cables i had. So then tried different version v3.10.7 of odin and it fails with following
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Binary Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..

FRP Lock: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox warranty void: 1 (0x0301)
RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1
So now i'm just lost and scared at what to do. I googled "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1" And my findings are just to use stock rom...but thats what i did in first place. So now i'm stuck with a phone that is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo....
G925PVPU1AOCF_G925PSPT1AOCF_G925PVPU1AOCF_HOME.tar.md5 is the rom im trying to flash with and i believe it is stock because got it off this forum from a post claiming it was the new stock updated rom.
Can someone please help? I can skype or teamspeak or ventrilo or just use this forum to help me but i'm beyond confused on what to do now...
edit- phone is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo...but i managed to make it stop by making phone sit in download mode...
edit2- i can not go into recovery or safe mode. All i can do is wtach my phone go to the boot logo "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge" screen then to black screen back to boot screen. And i can put it into download mode.... Thats it...The brick is real...
edit 3- 40 views and not one help lol, seems i'll be craigslist shopping soon.

You tripped the Knox counter, that is for sure. Since you can enter download mode that means it is still possible to install the stock firmware. Did you use the correct firmware for your model?

Is the stock rom i used to try and fix that recovery screwup.
i tried G925PVPU3BOJ7_G925PSPT3BOJ7_G925PVPU3BOJ7_HOME.tar which is a 5.1.1 stock rom and still same results!!!

[Q] [HELP] S3 Freezes on Startup

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with a default ROM, rooted and with clockworkmod installed.
Yesterday night I let it charging and working fine. This morning was freezed on the startup screen, the one that says "Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I93000" and was not possible to go over it. I checked for similar posts in the forum but no one had the same characteristics, all could go further the starting screen.
I tried the next:
- Normal restart: Nothing, same screen
- Take out the battery: Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in recovery mode (power+home+vol up): Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in download mode (power+home+vol down): Success, i'm download mode.
What can I do now? there is any chance to enter without re-installing rom and wiping the whole content?
Please, any help is welcome. I'm without mobile meanwhile
Thank you in advance
If the phone does not start in normal mode and recovery mode but it starts in download mode, try to flash a rom Samsung not wipe, if it fails to start still not done with the full wipe rom SAMSUNG

Hi, thank you for the fast answer.
I just found the original stock image that i had:
Country/Carrier: Poland (Play)
Date:2012 July
Android: 4.0.4
PDA:I9300XXBLFB
CSC:I9300PRTBLG1
I will turn the phone in download mode and I will connect with Odin.
Sorry about the newbie question: How I flash a new ROM on the phone without wiping all?
Best Regards

I found another post with the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30060308&postcount=23
I tried to restore a PIT file but is failing the whole time
At the end the user told that he brought it to a Samsung service and they changed the "charging regulator" and now the phone is working. :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31105754&postcount=34
I don't have any service shop here were I live
Any other idea that I could try?
Thank you in advance

Try to flash a ROM Samsung Jelly Bean (They Do Requires PDA only normally) and do not put anything in pit
Personally I no longer believe too
Yeah Im having the same problem...
apparently the chip that stores boot got non-functional data or something...missed-up in other words
anyhow...from several threads I looked up,,,,only 2 things can solve this , either Jtag repair the phone (check google) or service the phone, but if the flash counter shows in download mode they might not do it on warranty...
my phone has been in service for 3 days now, still didn't tell me if they'll service on warranty or not, luckily I used triangle reset before, everything shows as official samsung except custom rom.
Thank you for the replies.
Regarding bringing it to the service, I have another small issue. I got my mobile in PL. A friend wanted an internet contract there and with that contract the phone was really cheap, so I pay the phone and he kept the SIM....and I live in Germany
I will try to bring it to any shop, let's see what they tell me.
Another question now: I had an original stock ROM, but I just root it to be able to make full backups. They can realize about this entering just in download mode? Is normal that I see "Odin Mode" when I enter in download mode?
Thank you all

Download mode is already integrated in the smartphone by cons they may know that you have changed the phone because this flash counter in download mode they would have had to turn away a triangle reset the counter but hey it is not possible because you can not start the phone

In my situation, my S3 is in download mode but the computer can not see it through a com (up-to-date Odin and Kies can not see my GS3). What should I do?
Messing with PIT maybee ruined your phone.
If it s in warranty maybee they flash it for you. I´ve experienced that before with no problems but I know that it voyds the warranty flashing PIT and rooting.
Maybee you re lucky in the samsung service, in your position I was that way. Jtag is very risky and voyds warranty forever. If you pay in samsung for the boot repair you continue to have your warranty again and for the price of a Jtag intervention I would pay a bit more and continue having warranty.
S3 frozen on boot screen while rooting
Hello everyone,
I'm new around here and i apologize if posting in the wrong place....
I have a similar problem: I decided to root my S3 (UK unlocked) and followed one of many tutorials on YouTube (made by galaxys3root). Everything seemed to be easy and started well until at the point when the S3 must reboot. At that point the phone got stuck, and the only thing i can do is to go in downloading mode.
Odin gives me this

While the phone is stuck on the boot screen my PC (Win 7 Ultimate) does not recognize the device, while if the phone is in downloading mode, the PC has the driver for it.
I went through a few more topics on this forum which described something similar, tried a few of the suggestions made by others but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone has a solution for this or I should take the phone in service?
I would appreciate any advise!
I'm quite the beginner so if you could use a technical "friendly" language it would be great

[Q] Forgot to Turn on USB Debugging, ODIN not working

Hi Everyone,
I was trying to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S3 I-747M (I'm on Bell in Canada). Everywhere I looked on the internet instructed me to downgrade my version to 4.1.1 and then enter the magic numbers to unlock my phone.
So I followed the steps. Downloaded version 4.1.1 of the ROM, ODIN, etc., except a couple of things went wrong:
1) I forgot to turn on USB debugging mode
2) I've now learned that I should not downgrade from 4.3 back to 4.1.1
When I tried to install the ROM via ODIN it didn't work. Based on the other thread, downgrading from 4.3 will hard brick the phone, so I guess I'm lucky it didn't work.
My question is, where do I go from here? I am ready to give up on the unlock process. I just want the phone to work again at this point.
The phone has the following on the screen:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-1747M
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 0
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 1
There is a warning symbol between an image of the device and a monitor and it states "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I can get to the Downloading mode.
I got these messages in ODIN:

Apologies for the duplicate thread
It's my first time posting. I had multiple windows opened and I confused the 2 categories of S3. I should have posted under the I-747M one, when I didn't see my posting there I clicked back on my browser and ended up creating a new posting. Please ignore/delete the other posting. I don't know if there's a way to move this one to the correct category.

PIT related error bothers me .......
@aneeqkhan I know this thread is a bit dated now, but nobody has replied to you question either? I am trying to recover my friends Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925I, his bricked after a failed standard OTA update. Flashing stock firmware worked for about 1 week then the whole thing crashed and is un-bootable. Attempting to flash the exact same firmware again in hopes that I could boot into recovery (recovery by button combination DOES NOT WORK!) so was hoping to just boot and factory reset (I was thinking that maybe a data corruption was the cause we didn't wipe his phone because he didn't back it up)...upon putting the device into download mode and flashing the exact same firmware package that worked the week before I get the same error that you are getting? Not only that but none of the claimed fixes online for these devices has worked!?
Note: This is a 100% stock device never had anything flashed to it before I got it and still hasn't had anything custom flashed to it either
I am more interested now if you managed to recover your S6 and if so how did you do it?

S3 - i9300t boot problem

My friend gave me his phone, we woke up in morning to find the phone switched off (was left charging when he went to bed) and phone doesn't switch on. Its stuck at first boot screen and doesn't charge. I have been able to charge battery with external battery charger.
I tried booting phone in recovery but no luck, phone still stuck at first boot screen, same with vol down. Doesn't matter whether I try Volup+Power+Home or VolDown+Power+Home buttons, lcd lights up and phone shows first boot screen and gets stuck, If I keep holding buttons, it restarts and gets stuck at first boot screen again.
Anything I can do? Other than replacing main board?
Try a usb jig, but otherwise no.
OK, So I used a different computer, put the phone into download mode and connected to odin and it found it over COM5. Loaded file and clicked start. Following is the Log.

Are you using an all in one firmware or separate parts?.
Are you sure you're flashing a stock firmware for your region and carrier?.

I tried australian firmware, sperate pit files, us frimware with australia pit files, bottom line is even erasing partition is not successful. After doing more research, I came to same conclusion, nand is dead, if I find a cheap motherboard, i will revive the phone otherwise its a nice paperweight I guess.

Galaxy Tab E sm-t77p (Sprint) Smells like brick

I hope I am in the right section the structure of the forum seems to have changed on me or something.
I have gotten frustrated at this point and do not even remember the entire process that has got me this far.
I am not new to rooting as I have rooted maybe 10+ phones all using the xda forum. I just do not trust any other site. This does not mean I am claiming to be a pro. I just know how to follow directions and always try to have a backup before I even get started.
Anywho to the best of my recollection I started with this guide: [ROOT][Samsung Galaxy Tab E][sm-t377p/sm-t560nu]
When I started root I had Marsh 6.0.1
I don't think I ended up rooting using that exact method, or if i did the tablet wouldn't start up but it had twrp.
Somewhere in between my tablet had twrp and I used the backup that was given by @shawn1976 for the system, boot and modem.
The tablet worked but the wifi was refusing to turn on. I searched and searched and couldn't fix the problem and so I think at that point I decided to try and maybe flash the 6.0.1 that it had originally had on it and worse case scenario I would just end up where I started nothing lost.
Anyhow at this point I have TWRP 2.8.7.0 and it gives error that zip file is corrupt on the 6.0.1.
and using odin it just gives:

<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

<OSM> Leave CS..

When I try to restore the @shawn1976 Backup now it doesn't show anything in the list below [ Select Partitions to Restore] list.
when i first started i took note of the OEM Unlocking steps and made sure it was on, but am wondering now after it got reflashed was I supposed to redo that step again before trying to reflash?
I have no backup and I'm wondering what to do at this point. I tried looking for a solution hoping I could avoid posting like a nub about my problems. Any help you guys could give me would be appreciated.
so brief description is:
Galaxy Tab E sm-t377p (sprint)
Tablet doesn't boot up just goes straight to recovery.
TWRP is 2.8.7.0
And no partitions show up for restore in twrp for what was supposed to be my backup @shawn1976's Backup )
is it fixable?

If you have the T377P use the firmware from SamMobile to unbrick your device.

I tried downloading it twice and twrp doesnt like it. It errors with [ zip file is corrupt] or just restarts twrp.
I'll try a 3rd download.
I have a twrp version 3 in my device which is running on android 5.1.1
I think the problem is with your recovery , 2.8.7.0 is too old to run new binaries maybe?
Try installing latest version of Philz for your device.
Happened with me before when i had a mtk kitkat device and when i tried to install a lollipop rom using an old twrp recovery.
Fixed it by upgrading to traditional cwm-philz

That's because you need to unzip it and flash the md5 with odin not twrp.

They were all giving me errors. The flash image with odin and the twrp backup. After a bunch of troubleshooting it turns out my microSD card was the problem. It started giving me errors in windows so i reformatted and put all the files back. Then I reflashed the twrp backup and its able to boot up.
The problem is back to wifi switch flipping off as soon as i turn on. Im guessing it doesnt like the modem flash.
I keep trying to download a diff version of stock rom but I can't keep connected. It's a poopy line i have.
anywho I tried to install the stock rom I did manage to download and I get:
