OC1 Soft brick - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hello,
I use a samsung galaxy S4 (i545) with OC1 build. So I rooted it using King Root.
Then I tried installing OF1 deodexed firmaware of Muniz_ri : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-to-update-to-i545of1-5-0-1-keeproot-t3182544) with FlashFire of Chainfire.
When I restarted my phone I got a softbrick : I can acess to recovery and download mode only. I'm really ashamed.
I first tried this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/help/soft-bricked-quick-advice-t3125781 with exactly the same checkboxes on ODIN but it don't worked.
I tried ODIN stock OC1 (ALL_VZW_I545VRUGOC1_I545VZWGOC1) but it's unsucessful I can't count how many times I tried :
On ODIN screen I got :
Code:
<ID:0/005> Added!!
<ID:0/005> Odin engine v(ID:3.1100)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Initialzation..
<ID:0/005> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/005> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/005> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/005> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/005> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/005> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/005> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/005> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
And on my phone I got :
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]ODIN MODE[/COLOR]
PRODUCT NAME : SCH-I545
CURRENT BINARY : Samsug Official
SYSTEM STATUS : Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK : OFF
CSB-CONFIG-LSB : 0x30
[COLOR="Blue"]SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE[/COLOR]
WRITE PROTECTION : ENABLE
eMMC BURST MODE : enabled
[COLOR="Red"]START [224, 1440]
SW REV. CHECK FAIL : FUSED : 8 , Binary : 7[/COLOR]
Thanks for reading and for help.

I looked at recovery logs and find out that my bootloader is OF1. I tried with both OC1 and OF1 builds with odin even downgrading to OC1 I get stuck at "Xmit_data" as always.
any help could be really apreciated

Tried few times with flashing OC1 and OF1 kernel gives the same result I can now see a Samsung screen apearing, I kept phone running 1 hour like that and samsung screen remains. Flashing bootloader doesn't work (auth) failure due to aboot file detecting my binary is not the fused one... so anyone could help I am writing to myself x)

I just got myself out of day long pickle. Couldn't even access recovery at one point. Anyhow my phone came with stock OC1 and what I had to do was use a different usb cable than what came with my phone, plugged the cable into a different usb port, and flashed the OC1 stock rom with Odin v1.85. I got about 75% complete using Odin v3.09 before the big red fail appeared. Not sure what did the trick in the end really, but from what I hear Odin can be very picky like that. Try some different variations of that. Use the stock rom in which your phone came with from factory also. Hope this helps.

[Q] Soft bricked (hopefully) my phone when rooting. Help, please?

A few months ago, I got a (Verizon) Samsung Galaxy S4 (it was "free" with contract). I successfully rooted it not long after.
Just a couple weeks ago, an update was released through the verizon network, so blindly I decided to use the update, only to find out afterwards that it removed my root. I tried the same method I used before to root it, only to find people saying that the newest OTA (Over The Air) update made rooting impossible.
After a fair amount of searching, I found a method which supposedly would work (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2487142). I used the method, however it did not work, and my phone was stuck in download mode.
After previous reading, I learned that the only way to manually exit download mode was to take out the battery. Though the root attempt had failed, it was obvious that something had occurred, so I was hesitant to use the brute force method of exiting download mode. However, without knowing an alternative, I removed the battery.
Now, whenever I try to turn on my phone, I merely get the message "Firmware update has encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
If it helps, the text displayed in the upper corner with this message is:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I545
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enabled
eMMC BURST MODE enabled
I have tried firmware upgrade and initialization in Kies3, but an error message is shown saying "SCH-I545 does not support initialization", When I tried Kies2, it just told me that the device was not responding.
I am still able to enter download mode.
When I try to flash an os using odin, I get these results:

If there is any more information you would need, please let me know.

Some people have reported getting past that screen with volume up/volume down. Worth a try.
Basically, you have NC5 system and NC5 bootloader. You tried to flash a factory stock MK2 from the looks of it and failed. What you need to do is to go to Surge1223's thread with info on flashing back to MK2 here and try to re-flash using his process.

[Q] Soft Bricked: How to fix?

I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 3 that I've apparently managed to softbrick. This happened after I attempted to flash it back to a rooted stock ROM so that I could update the PRL (as I was having no luck trying to do it manually). Unfortunately, as this was not originally my phone, I don't know what exactly was installed. The last ROM I remember seeing on the phone was a nightly build of PAC-ROM from March. I'm not sure what kernel it's running.
(I didn't realize that downgrading would softbrick the phone... I've only ever upgraded my ROM before. If it matters, I /think/ it's a 16 gigabyte phone, but I'm not sure.)
It comes up into a screen that says "Firmware update encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Above that, it says
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM:N900P
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
CURRENT STATUS: CUSTOM
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0

QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)

WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
UDC START
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 3 > Binary 1
I have tried:
using kies (couldn't find the device)
following the directions @ galaxynote3update.com/fix-bricked-samsung-galaxy-note-3-unbrick-recovery-guide but I don't understand how to create a PIT file and I'm hesitant to use the one I found on XDA because it's for the 32 gigabyte version of the phone.

Bricked Verizon S4 ("SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused 8")

Today I got verizon samsung s4 (new, from Woot). It came with Lollipop, but Kies suggested an update, so I tried it. The update failed and now I'm stuck on "Software Update Failed"
I couldn't find the "Verizon Software Repair Assistant" download.
I cant get it to boot to recovery. It just goes to "Software Update Failed" or ODIN
So I started trying to flash it with ODIN. Read a lot of threads (enough to realize that this is a deep mess and get quite confused) and tried half a dozen of ROMS, and a PIT, but all fail with these message in the phone:
"SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused 8, Binary :6"
(of course, the Binary change with the firmware)
Does it means that I need a newer firmware? What else can I do?
Thanks,
Jorge
I don't have much info about what was on the phone before. The problem got me unprepared, since I expected the Kies update to be trivial.
But this is what I get on the "Software Update Failed" screen:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I545
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK: Off
CSB-CONFIG-USB: 0x30
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
eMMC BURST MODE: Enable
Please, help me fix my phone.
Have you tried flashing the firmware which corresponds to Fuse: 8? (Lollipop OC1 or OF1)
Tried with OC1 and got "Fused : 8 binary : 7"
I'm downloading OF1 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/general/of1-stock-tar-t3216417
(taking forever)
While downloading the previously mentioned OF1 (20 min left now...),
I tried with the I545_Downgrade_tC1.tar mentioned here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-to-update-to-i545of1-5-0-1-keeproot-t3182544
I got a good start flashing, but then I got:

<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..

<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
and on the phone:
SYS. REV. CHECK FAIL: Refer 2 > Binary 1
SOLVED!
I had some problems flashing OF1, but then I used my notebook instead my PC, and worked!
For the record, I used the OF1 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/general/of1-stock-tar-t3216417

S6 Edge Brick?

Hi xda Community,
i got a big problem on my s6 edge. Thought, i was able to flash my phone from stock 6.01 to http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/development/rom-carhdrom-1-t3111519.....it still works, but after a few days, my phone gets more lags and i was more disappointed ´bout that than the bloatware battery drain from stock rom. So...that´s the point. Tried to flash to stock 6.01, but it fails...... from now on, the only 2things i can do are to boot in download mode and twrp 3.02.....think, i don´t have any partitions installed .....
Tried a stock rom with dbt(without brabding) - vd2(vodafone) - dtm(t-mobile) nothing works.....

Flashing stock firmware should resolve this. First thing if you can boot into twrp clear cache partition, wipe data/ factory reset. Then try flashing stock firmware.
As for the sw rev check fail. It because the device is rooted. Carhd rom is pre rooted that's why you get that message.
Try again flashing stock firmware after the above steps. Let me know of any errors
Ok....SmartSwitch didn't work,so tryin' to Download another Stock Rom with samfirm, vd2.... Hidden.img Fail, but cleared.......everythings fine now.....so, thx for your help......

no help for me?
:crying:
Are you disconnecting the phone or waiting for it to completely finish? Maybe clean out the charge port?
I am not by any means able to correct the issue, but i've never seen a successful odin operation where the device is removed and then completed.
Good news is that it can still go into download mode. So it should not be too difficult to correct. I am assuming you're using latest Odin with the original usb cable and have tried with different ports.
Sometimes it may need a slightly older version of odin to work. You may even have to download the firmware again. Or take it to where you bought it...
But... DO NOT LAUNCH IT!

I suggest download the latest firmware for your phone try flashing it still don't work then try getting the pit file too and firmware and try both?
Since I screwed my s6 edge up as it was not mounting system and cache so I had to get latest firmware, pit file and then in odin tick re-partition and flash then it worked just went into recovery wiped cache and factory reset reboot and done

I disconnecting the phone after Odin> PASS (disconnecting usb)
The usb port is clean (spray contact)
I don't use other port usb and other cable usb, because the Odin procedure it is successful (PASS)
After PASS I disconnect usb, the Phone rebot - it appears android robot- erasing- logo edge -logo samsung,
but nothing done (I waited a long time)
Odin is 3.13.1 (I believe latest version), I have not tried other old versions because the procedure is Ok (Pass)
I worked on this cell phone I believe 30 hours...
I'm a stubborn girl, I do not accept not to recover the phone..
I do not launch it, but the temptation is there
thanks for help

I'm trying with last firmware for edge (italy- ITV-nogaut7)
it was the first one I tried. and now is impossible using old firmware, cs.bin file no Pass in Odin...
Pit file i read is not necessary for stock firmware, but yesterday I also tried with Pit file (Zerolte eur open hidden60M)
the Odin procedure Pass, but after the phone not installing system ( but maybe I did not reset factory and cache..)
when it is in bootloop, enter in recovery is not easy, and when I go into recovery..I have to be quick to select otherwise the phone hangs...(even with twrp sometimes it crashes)
I do not understand if it's because the phone bootloop, or is the problem hardware (memory flash)
thank s
