Can an IUSACELL (AT&T Mexico) u20a be used on AT&T in the US without unlockingock? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Can an IUSACELL (AT&T Mexico) u20a be used on AT&T in the US without unlockingock?
I recently bought a lot of 5 X10 Mini Pros on ebay. I only needed one of them, so now I want to sell the rest of them. The thing is they are carrier locked to IUSACELL, a Mexican carrier who was bought out by AT&T to become part of AT&T Mexico. My question is can these phones be activated on AT&T in the US without having to unlock them? Thanks in advance.

Anybody?

Probably not, you will have to ask the original carrier for the sim-unlock codes using the phone's IMEI-codes... Since the phones are so old they should give you the unlock-codes for free. After unlocking them (inserting a sim from another carrier and entering the code) they should function on any other carrier.

[Q] AT&T Aria not activated, does it mean it is not locked?

Hey guys, I'm newbie to modern phone stuff. Just got an AT&T Aria phone. It was brand new in the box, never used, without AT&T sim card. Does it mean the phone is not locked for AT&T and can be used in Europe with local operators ?

No. It is locked. If it was never used, then it could never be unlocked (someone would need to unlock it). If you are planning to use it in Europe, it would be better if you got an HTC Gratia which you could say is the Europe version of the Aria.
Should I get the unlock code in this case ?

Yes, you will need an unlock code to use the Aria in Europe with other carriers' SIM cards.

[Q] sim unlock for Japanese Motorola Photon (From Au-Kddi to Sofbank usage)

Hi
I am looking for some help for Japanese Motorola-Photon.
I have purchased Motorola-Photon (Japanese version) with Au-Kddi carrier.
Now, I want to use Photon with Softbank carrier. When I am putting softbank sim, it is asking unlock code.
I know that some web-site give unlock by paying $30. but I am looking for any other work around.
Is there any other way (Free mode) to unlock it and use with Softbank carrier?
I hope that some one will help on this.
Thanks.

Any help on this????
My only idea is do a factory restore in recovery and see if it flushes out the lock code.
The KDDI radio opens the US phones, no sim locking problems.

It sounds more like the sim card is locked and not the phone. I don't think they lock the phones in Japan?

[Q] Using SM900P in Vietnam.

Good day folks,
I have purchased a 900p from a friend in USA for a good deal, the problem is that the phone has a bad ESN and was for sprint, I was wondering if i take this phone to Vietnam will it with with any regular sim card? I'm not expecting any thing fancy like 4g or LTE in VN but I just want to know if this phone will work in VN, I've read from multiple sources that the 900p is internationally unlocked but is locked for domestic US sims, can any one verify if that is true? also aware I might not be able to do a SPRINT SIM unlock because of the BAD ESN. Any one have any suggestions?

It won't work in VN unless you ask sprint to unlock the international sim lock. But they won't help you because yours is a bad ESN one.
Just waiting for heros to work out how to unlock without sprint's help.

I am considering buying a used lg g5 on att network, to use in Europe. Will this phone need to be unlocked to use on a carrier in Europe or will international carrier?
I appreciate the help with this question,

You will need to unlock it through att, but you won't get updates in Europe
