Sony Xperia SP Sound MOD
The mods you see here are for the Xperia SP to enhance and improve sound quality and add more immersion. The mods that you want to apply each have their own separate backup scripts that backs up your audio file to your internal storage. You can revert the sound mod changes by flashing the recovery script that is also included below. The following mods in theory should work for ALL roms from Stock Jellybean 4.3 all the way to the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0. Enjoy!

What is the Dual Mono Speaker Mod?
The Dual Mono Speaker Mod activates your front and back speakers. This provides more immersion as sound comes from both speakers rather than 1. This mod does not activate your back speaker when in calls to ensure privacy for the user but if the user uses speaker mode while talking to someone, both speakers will turn on as per normal
What is the Front Facing Speaker Mod?
The Front Facing Speaker Mod activates only your front speaker and deactivates your back speaker. This provides front immersion as sound comes from only the front speaker. During calls the front speaker will be the only speaker turned on but if the user turns on the speaker mode in-call, the back speaker does not turn on and there is no change in which speaker is utilized. This mod sets the back speaker offline forever until the user reverts the mod
Where are backups stored?
Backups (Less than 1MB) are stored in /storage/emulated/0/soundmod_backup
What does the recovery script do?
The recovery script simply removes the audio mod file and places the backed up audio file to the proper locations
I don't like this mod and i want to try out another. How do I change?
Firstly use the recovery script to place the original and unmodified sound files back to the system partition. Secondly, flash the other mod you wished to try out and enjoy.

This is basically my last work for Canvas Chd as i have moved to tab 2. I was not supposed to release this rom but as my dear friend @deeplyyoung requested me to do so I am releasing it. I already know there is already available jellybean based kitkat rom, but still i believe there should be an option to everything.

Wipe Data/Factory Reset

I guess this will help u in uninstalling LED indicator...
goto seetings > apps > den goto all > and search for this app and uninstall o u may disable it...
The above solution on clock is not working. Bluetooth is not pairing, clock is not working & Led indicator not working, otherwise good one.

Framework-res.apk is responsible for it and if u want to change background wallpapers, I guess u can do it via gravity box.

Downloading it right away. Does "OK GOOGLE" work in this?
Slightly less battery backup than most of the other roms around here. For some reason the background stays on if you select a popup, even in Play Store. Youtube constantly crashes on video load. I had some weird bug something was using the flash light, couldn't turn it off only with a system restart.
And that's it for now. I am reverting for another rom for now, please fix these.

Thanks for ur precious feedback. I already mentioned its a beta build. So maybe having small bugs. Devs already been informed to take this project.
I don't have any plans as for now. But if m back to Chd (maybe soon ) will fix these if another dev doesn't take this ROM.

if you search in this xml few ligns below you find the "activate effect on speaker" or something like that, and it says "false", if you want the native equalizer working on phone speaker change that value to "true" and your speaker in phone will give you the chance to change the equalizer as same way it does in headphones...
doesnt forget to reboot after that!!
-- the phone speaker (if you know basics of sound optimizing) will give you an better sound that never before, optimize it at high level...

i dont try the pitch and speed...only the EQ in speaker and for me improve the voice quality of musics because the native adjustment of speaker is too "cloudy".
For me works fine...

use root explorer, its better, mount the r/w and change the file, save it and dont forget reboot the phone.

This mod works great but I decided to add something. Now we can use eqalizera the stock music player without headphones.
okey what we must do it :
backup your orginall com.lge.music
copy download file from the link and copy to your sd card
now open root explorer an go to sd card
copy com.lge.music to System/etc and set permission to rw-r--r--( 0644 )
reboot device
Open stock music plater and you can use now eqaulizer on your speaker.
Work great for me and you can test now.

speed and pitch works, no fc in app but also no effect (tested on 5.0.2 ) we must have new lg music for this, as in g3s for example, where you have this option working and calendar with national holidays info.
I took some time and edited the original media_profiles.xml. I managed to turn off jpeg compression which should in return rise the quality of pictures taken by our Honor 7's. There are less artifacts in the pictures and they're a little bit better in case of quality, I think. But I guess You should try and see for Yourselves if it really works better, so feedback is really appreciated.
Modification is based off of the B320 Marshmallow rom for PLK-L01 but it should work on any other variant as well as on Android Lollipop - I also need feedback on this.
Requirements:
-TWRP Recovery
-zip package with modified media_profiles.xml downloaded from here:

What to do:

It changes the way system handles any codecs so I think it should work with 3rd party camera apps.

You can find both. TWRP 2.8.7.0 is for Android 6.0, and 2.8.6.0 is for Android 5.

Yeah, I tried but the camera doesn't seem to support that kind of bitrate and it stays stock even though there are changes in mediaprofiles. It won't break anything, don't worry.
I've already tried Video bitrate stay to stock, but audio bitrate is increased.

Rollback file should not be flashed with twrp. Must be only copied in system/etc
Media profiles has nothing to do with wifi. I'm using that modified file on my Honor and everything works fine.

I applied the mod and wifi still working perfectly. Also, as you can se in first page, the modification at the code concern only the "media parameters" nothing to do with wifi...
Only thing that comes to my mind is that You guys use different Honor 7 version. I have a PLK-L01. Maybe if You have any other version like PLK-AL10 it does something to the wifi, but as far as I'm concerned, it does not touch the wifi nor any of its settings.
I have too PLK-L01 and wifi dont work for me.

Works perfect on CRDroid 7.1 build 04-01-2021 OP8 Pro.
This was literally the only thing AOSP / CRDroid was missing except proper rooted YouTube Vanced (it can't install as the system version is too new so has to be microg rootless).
Sound without it is so flat and gutless.
Work on oos11 11.0.2.2AA so far so good.

Did you something special? For me doesn't work on OB5, but stable before neither, too.
i did the steps i had done on my op7TPro, i removed the original app and installed the dolby apk which was originally for the razer device and i have rebooted ... and the dolby application crashed each time so I went to install this module in addition and rebooted and it works

After installing it, flashing the module from this thread and restart, everything works fine.

Hi.
For people that are unaware some LG phones have almost and even no custom roms at all, that is the case with the G8x which is a shame for such a great phone,
fortunately something called Generic System Image (GSI) exists, it is a way for to get a custom rom with basic functionality for a wide range of devices.
I love the Quad Dac, it is one of the main features of a flagship LG phone, unfortunately it almost no developer owns an LG phone anymore so nobody is fixing it on GSI roms.
fortunately i found a kinda dirty way to fix it.
there are quite a few steps, so please be careful and pay attention:
1) On a stock (i used a11 iirc) rom Flash crDroid, other roms may or may not work
2) Flash TWRP and reboot to recovery
3) Flash your favorite GSI, i used crDroid 9.1
4) Flash Magisk, Flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt if you dont want your data encrypted
5) on the magisk app flash LG-G8X-hifi-quad-dac-fix-GSI.zip
6) Reboot your device and a new "Quad Dac unavailable" icon should appear on the status bar edit
7) Plug in your headphones, touch it and enjoy!
Bonus* Hold the icon to enter the app and modify some stuff
Bonus 2* DP Should work, idk if Dual Screen works since i dont own one
Bonus 3* AOD also should work.
Just to clarify, i didnt develop neither the app, the files or the scripts, this was based on Fasheng's job,
the files were replaced from Lineage 19.1, i just put everything together so if something doesnt work
i may not be able to fix it.
Also, this may work on other LG devices (like G8, G8S, V50, V50s, etc) if you provide a rom for it.
you can use stock rom as a base but this may not work for you.

i did it with TWRP, in order for the DAC to work you need to flash crDroid zip for this device as a normal and then you flash your preferred GSI.
There are plenty of guides on the internet for flashing a GSI, i can give you this one but any should work.

For Any Fellow Audiophiles, I was also able to install Viper4droid Too. I just disabled & unistalled AudioFX, and installed the APK in the link.
