Visual Land Prestige Elite 11Q tablet unlock bootloader and root - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know how to unlock the bootloader and getting root on a Visual Land Prestige Elite 11Q tablet?
I can read the flash partitions using rkflashkit (github.com/linuxerwang/rkflashkit), but I can not write them back.
Device info:
Visual Land Prestige
Model: Elite11Q
Android: 5.1.1
Kernel: 3.10.0
Build Number: LMY47V

To partially answer my own question: Kingroot (www dot kingroot dot net) worked to get root on the Elite 11Q.

You can get root using Kingo and King root, both work, Kingo gave me ads

Do you have the stock image? My coworker has a soft bricked 8Q.

Tried it today and didn't work with the Boromir exploit (only one in the list). Got "Failed ... Try another exploit if available (Error #9)"
Re: Root for Yoga Tablet
I used this thread to root my Yoga Tablet 8 and it worked great. I also have one of the Lenovo A1000L tablets and this method worked for that model as well. Here is the link to the thread.

Root for Yoga Tablet 10' 3G (B8000-H)
Root works great for me now ! I used the tips of the user "cramamarshall," I followed the instructions for the Lenovo A1000L tablet. In my case, I confirm that Framaroot does not work (1.8.0 and previous versions).

Framaroot does not work on the 3G models (B8000-H) with this build version.
You have to try Kingo root.
Lenovo just released a new system update. Some minor bugfixes and new bloatware.
B8000_A422_000_045_131111_WW_3GDATA ==> B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA
Size is 102MB.
Sent from my Lenovo B8000-H using XDA Premium HD app
I hope to have no problems when I update to the new version (B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA)
, now that I have root privileges. Thank you, Kingo, IngoZ and koniss.

New android version with root
I have done download of the new Android version but I stopped before the update, I have just to confirm with OK.
I have to go:
B8000_A422_000_045_131111_WW_3GDATA ==> B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA
Before I update with the new version of Android I have made a backup with Titanium.
My questions are:
I have to remove the root before updating? I have to uninstall SuperSU (Kingo root) as a precaution?
Where is the file of updating on the tablet ? It is invisible inside the cache directory ? I would like to make a backup just before update.
Thank you.
Update is done correctly
Update is done correctly. Before doing the update I did "Unroot complete" in the menu SuperSU: so this has uninstalled this application
Then I upgraded to the current version of Android for Yoga 10"
Finally I connected the tablet to the pc and I redid the procedure with Kingo root.
Now I have B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA just rooted.
I did this because I did not know exactly how he behaved the tablet. It worked for me. I hope it is understandable what I wrote.

[Q] Visual Land Prestige Elite 10Q KitKat 4.4.2 Root

Visual Land Prestige
Model: Elite10Q
IOS: KitKat 4.4.2
Kernal: 3.0.36+
Build Number: KOT49H
I'm trying to root my new tablet, I've tried IRoot(VRoot) and Towel Root. Neither of these work, I've tried to research both here and general google search for more information but to no avail.
I've read some rumors that the visual land tablets come pre-rooted but no SU is installed nor will any of them install properly, also root checks say it isn't already rooted.
If anyone can point me in the right direction for tools or a guide for a general manual root or create something specific for this device I'd very much appreciate it.

I bought mine a month ago. It came with lollipop. Any chance you can upload and img of yours ? I can't find a way to get to kitkat. lollipop has too many bugs for me. I think the older OS would work better. I can upload an img of mine if you want lollipop. Thanks

Visual Land Prime10ES Octa-core android 5.1.1

Howdy. I got a sweet replacement for my Acer Iconia A500 recently, after 5 yrs it finally bit the bit_bucket in the sky>
Attached a screen shot of system page
MODEL : Prime10ES
processor : UltraOcta-A83
Android : 5.1.1
Firmware : v2.1rc3
Kernel ver : 3.4.39 [email protected]#40
build # : LMY48B.20150813
Anyone have any idea on the following:
a) A custom rom for this system
b) the actual maker of the tablet
c) whether it can simply be rooted?
d) any other assistance (like maybe a forurm??)
This was a tablet purchased at Target for $120.
I ask because at minimum putting this into a forum would have helped me when I searched before buying to see if I could root it.

How to Root Android 5.1 general/on Wiko Pulp 4G

Does someone have a tip how to root Android 5.1 on my brand new Wiko Pulp 4G? I thought I have seen someone around on this before buying... but now I noticed it's more tricky than expected with Android 5.1.
Rooting PC programs/Android Apps like KingRoot etc. failed on this Android 5.1 device and as far as I know most still don't support Android 5.x anyway.

don't know why the should fail. just install die kingroot app, root the device with it, make this steps http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html , install flashfire and flash the xposed sdk 22 arm zip and you're good to go. but I didn't found a way to update via OTA yet..

Rooting Runbo Q5

Hello,
I got a new Runbo Q5 rugged outdoor smartphone:
http://en.runbo.net/productview.php?id=226
It comes with:
Android version: 5.1
Kernel version: 3.10.65
Custom build version: A106_DT800_Runbo-EN_6M_20151218_V6.4
I'm trying to root it, but so far with no success. I already used the following "simple-auto-rooting-tools":
Android APK version of http://kingroot.net
Desktop version of http://www.rootgenius.com
KingRoot Desktop version of http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
None of them is working. Has anybody some experiences in rooting a Runbo Q5? What would be the next steps if I'm thinking about digging more into this and trying to do it by myself?
Thanks in advance!
