Borked Android v6 install - Please Help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Nexus 5 just updated to CyanogenMod v13 based on Android v6.
After the updat got the dreaded "Google Play Services has stopped working" spaming error dialogue.
Tried wiping cache, Dalvik cache etc. No help. Unable to uninstall the app (Uninstall button greyed out). No updates to app that I can uninstall either. Tried to install the latest .apk of Google Play Services to install over the top - no dice. Install button for side-loaded apps is greyed out. Uninstalled Google Play store. Went to install side-loaded .apk of same. Blocked by greyed out install button again. Only thing I can think of to get around it is to install from zip via TWRP recovery?
Unable to copy files directly from PC either - blocked by "Cannot copy item - The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" error. Tried both with and without USB debugging.

[Q] unknown error -504 during install

I have an issue installing Tripadvisor on my phone. I own a HTC M9 running ARHD10 (android 5.1, 2.27.401.1) which was clean installed. I need help installing this app; i tried everything I could think of; deleting cache and data for google play store and play services and download manager, i tried to install outside the google play store by downloading the apk, i tried to sideload with adb, through my titanium backup, through amazon marketplace, tried to install the tablet version of the app etc etc
i have reinstalled my entire phone from scratch 3x but no TRipadvisor.
The error I receive is "unknown error code during installation -504"
What else could I try ? any ideas ?
Anybody with the same problems ? A solution perhaps?
No solution but same unknown error here. I'm on Nexus 5 and android M Dev preview 2. It happens at the end of the Google Chrome app download while installing onto the device.
Clean everything I can but no luck so far.

Gapps installation failed in CWM Recovery on CM 13/ Marshmallow 6.0.1 Xperia SP

Hi,
I have updated my ROM 5.1 to 6.0.1 but noticed a continuous error msg "Unfortunately Google Play Services Stopped". Even I am getting msg to update Google play services but it does nothing by tapping on update option. Tried many methods i-e cleared caches of google play store, gmail etc but google play services options "Force stop" and "uninstall" are faint (unable to uninstall or stop). Downloaded many gapps versions for android 6.0.1 but problem is installing from memory card in CWM recovery isnt working any more. It gives error "Install Failed" even tried gapps 5.1 but same error..

Hello and welcome to XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
I recommend trying with TWRP recovery since CWM is becoming more and more outdated and is not suiting most new ROMs, mods or scripts or even GApps on some devices.
If I helped, hit "thanks" .

Problem with Google Play Services on H2OS

Hey guys
I got and flashed the latest version of HydrogenOS with Oxygen Recovery. Then using fastboot, I booted into TWRP and used it to flash Opengapps. The phone booted normally. But whenever I try to use Google Plus to login to any app, it says "this app wont work properly unless you allow google play services' request to access the following: Calendar, Camera.......SMS, Storage. To continue, open Settings, then permissions and allow all listed items." However, when I go to settings to do the same, and go under the permissions tab, there are no permissions. Also, Google Play Services keeps crashing too. I've tried clearing cache and data for both, but none of it helps.
Any ideas?
UPDATE: I just reinstalled everything and it was fine.

App installed but not showing up and/or usable

Hello,
i've got a pretty weird problem i can't figure out.
I'm trying to install netflix and get a 505 error in the play store. Using an apk from unknown sources, either netflix or apkmirror, tells me the installation would be an update, but fails after trying to install.
I've tried deleting the netflix folder in /android, deleting Cache and Data from google framework, playstore and Services, download manager. Restarting the phone.
The app also doesn't show up in application manager, app drawer and play store, it just Shows the regular green install Button.
Using a Note 4 n910c, latest Updates installed, no root.
Thank you in advance for your help

Google Play Services broken?

Ok, so 3 days ago I had an issue where the YouTube app, when started, was loading the feed infinitely, I decided to go to Play Store and update google services, but the Play Store wouldn't load past the triangle logo.
I've downloaded the external apk and tried installing that, no result with "app not installed" message.
Next, I've tried deleting the Google Play Services (com....gms) and installing them again, but they wouldn't show up in the app list.
Next, I tried to flash the MIUI with ADB without wiping the storage, done that successfully but that didn't change anything.
I'm now trying to at least backup my photos via ADB and re-flash the MIUI with a full wipe. But even the com.android.backupconfirm.BackupRestoreConfirmation won't load for me to confirm backup via adb, it just opens on the phone as an empty window without rendering any output.
Please help guys, I'm really desperate, I'm in a warzone and don't have a lot of time do dig into this deeper =(
Ok, I fixed it =)
pulled out the storage with adb and re-flashed the MIUI
Peace!
