Can someone build something like this please? ROM/Features Request [CM9]

Hi! First off sorry for the lack of text formatting the controls are not working for some reason.... so please bare with the text
Ok so I should start by declaring I'm a ROM ***** (it says "hor" with a w at the beginning and e are the end), I cant help it I just need to which ROM is the best, so far I've tried the following for the S3:
Omega -
MIUI - (problem - lock screen does not have notifications that you can unlock directly to & samsung smart features do not work)
DarkyRom III - (problem - too laggy)
CM9 - (preferred the most for raw speed, but camera not the samsung stock one which has some amazing features, should be able to be done because MIUI has managed it somehow & no samsung smart features)
Foxhound (I think I didn't like the custom toggle widgets look - i wanted something more stock looking)
SO these are the requirements:
cm9 (base rom) - since i liked it the most for its simplicity and speed
+smart features (from samsung)
+samsung camera (as done by miui) - so it can be done without the touchwiz launcher
+miui's network speed counter in the status bar - nifty lil feature but can live without if push comes to shove
+music lockscreen (like cm9/stock ics/or miui) - the stock one is the best because the screen is just pure black so if you want to change the track you're not using too much power because of the AMOLED screen
+notification on lock screen (which can be directly opened into (like htc lockscreen but not widget locker - its far too laggy)
+call record
+(if possible with cm9 - the call fail options you get with samsung "call back" "message" etc)
The question is:
a) is there a rom out there like this
b) if not how can i build on top of CM9 to make my own "rom" with the above required features (particularly smart features and camera if nothing else - I AM NOT A DEVELOPER - I just know how to follow instructions (like flash this, put this on the memory card, wipe dalvik cache etc)
c) if not the above two, can someone build this rom and I think it would be the most useable and stable rom available for the S3

[GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to Root/Rom/Return to Stock the VZW Galaxy Note II!

Here is a guide I have put together for the VZW Samsung SCH-I605 Galaxy Note II
------------------
This guide contains 5 sections:
Section 1: How to Root/Unlock/ Return to Stock 4.X Jelly Bean coming from any rom with Odin
Section 2: How to flash a Touchwiz rom/kernel from a Custom Recovery
Section 3: How to flash a AOSP/CM10 based rom from a Custom Recovery
Section 4: Directory
Section 5: Android Glossary
-------------------
*I am not liable for what you do to your DEVICE!!
*I take no credit for links posted in this thread... This is just a guide or more so a collaboration of different guides all put into one thread!!
*This Guide will not trip your flash counter!! Flashing any custom software via odin will infact trip the flash counter!! Thats why I use these methods and the only thing I use odin is for flashing STOCK firmware Only!!!
DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OTA UPDATES EVER!! REMEMBER THIS DEVICE SHIPPED LOCKED...OUR TALENTED DEVS UNLOCKED THIS DEVICE, SO ONLY RELY ON THEM FOR UPDATES. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN A PERMA LOCKED BOOTLOADER!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Section 1a: How to Root/Unlock Stock 4.X Jelly Bean with Odin
Proceed to Adam Outler's "JAILBREAK" threads for rooting and unlocking bootloader so custom roms can be flashed!!! Only use the method linked below thats specific to the firmware/bootloader version on your device!! If you took the 4.3 update or used Odin to flash 4.3 then you can no longer unlock your bootloader
As most know by now, Devices that took the MJ9 4.3 OTA update permanently locked the bootloader. The previous Root and Unlock methods no longer work for this latest update. However our kind Devs developed SafeStrap for a workaround, which allows root and flashing Touch Wiz roms. Please head over to this thread for installing SafeStrap on 4.3 VRUEMJ9- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693131

Section 1b: How to return to stock 4.X Jelly Bean coming from any rom with Odin
Step 1: Download and install Odin- http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1165122&d=1340993443
Step 2: Download one of these stock images and pit file to a windows based pc. If Odin does not recognize the file then extract it with a program such as 7zip.(Make sure to only use the version that is compatible with your bootloader...meaning if you upgrade to the latest firmware you can no longer revert back to older firmware versions)
VRUEMJ9 4.3- http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319197589(ONLY USE THIS IF YOU TOOK THE 4.3 OTA!! There currently is no bootloader unlock method for 4.3 which means you can no longer flash custom roms, recoveries, or kernels!!!)
Official VRAMC3 4.1.2 5/5/13- https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B46nbPp9bPf-Q3lJdmlYS0ZwRzg/edit?pli=1
This firmware image that will return your device to factory stock and locked conditions. Take note this is the latest firmware version that is currently can be be unlocked.
Official VRALJB 4.1.1 12/9/12- http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390214368362234374
This will wipe data and return your device to factory stock out of the box conditions. This file can only be used on devices that never took the VRALL4 or VRAMC3 OTA update. If this file is flashed on a updated device, Odin will fail @ sboot.bin.
Root66 stock VRALJB 4.1.1 12/2/12- http://androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390210501348163619 This is our very first fully functional rooted Odin image.. Thanks MrRobinson!! This file does not wipe data, lock bootloader, or replace recovery. Its simply a easy way for folks who want to flash back to rooted stock as a stepping stone to another rom.
SCH-I605_16gb.Pit- http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?05cj895zu3tls7z
Step 3: Power device off, hold the volume down/home/power keys until you see a yellow triangle, then press the volume up key to access "odin or download mode".
Step 4: Open Odin and connect the oem usb cable from pc to device. The driver should automatically install( it did for me on windows 7 64bit). There should also be a "comport number" in upper left hand corner of Odin indicating communication between the pc & device.
Step 5: Click on the pit function of Odin and select the sch-i605-16gb.pit file.
Step 6: Click on the PDA function of Odin. Select the stock VRALJB image you downloaded in step 1, then select start. This operation should take less than 8 minutes before Odin will say pass/reset.
Step 7: Your device should boot back up into factory stock 4.1.1 android! However, If your device is stuck in a bootloop, power the device off, press and hold the volume up/home/power buttons until the samsung logo appears. The device will boot into recovery and from there you will need to wipe data/factory reset, then reboot.
If odin no longer recognizes your device, most likely Casual killed the driver for odin!! follow this tutorial for restoring the driver:

Section 5: Android Glossary
Download Mode - This is a setting in which you will put your phone when using Odin. There are other ways, but most noobs will reach download mode by powering down, removing the battery, and holding volume down while plugging the factory usb cord into the computer and phone. Odin can only communicate properly with your phone if the phone is in download mode.
F. Reset Time - This is a check box in Odin. It's not clear that anyone knows the exact details of what it actually does, nor is it clear what will happen if you leave it unchecked vs checked. It seems to reset some arbitrary counter in your phone. As a general rule, you can either follow the instructions of whatever guide you're using or just leave the checkbox how you found it.
Fast Charge - This is a feature on some ICS ROMs that can be turned on or off. When enabled, it allows your phone to draw as much charge as possible regardless of the charging source. Without fast charge, your phone will place artificial speed limits on charging when plugged, for example, into the USB slot on your computer. Fast charge bypasses these limits, letting your phone believe it is always plugged into a wall charger. It is worth noting that your phone will not be recognized by your computer as a USB device when fast charge is enabled. It will only charge.
FC - Force Close - This is when an app stops working unexpectedly. This can happen to both rooted and unrooted phones. It doesn't cause any damage to the phone. In most cases, the app can just be opened right back up. It seems to depend on a lot of factors, including the quality of the app itself. ROMs and kernels that experience very few FCs are said to be "stable."
Flash - This is a term used to describe the installation of software onto your phone. It refers to fundamental changes in your phone's operating system. It is different from just installing an app from the Marketplace (Google Play). Commonly, people will flash ROMs, kernels, patches, and radios. There are basically two ways to flash new software onto your phone:
1. Odin
2. CWM Recovery (or a comparable recovery program)
Freeze - There are two meanings in general use. One might use this term to refer to his or her phone becoming unresponsive. More commonly, though, it refers to a special ability of a program called Titanium Backup. This program can be downloaded from the Android Marketplace (Google Play), but it requires a rooted phone to work. When Titanium Backup is used to freeze an app or process, that app or process is essentially gone from the phone. It won't show up in the app drawer, and it won't be running in the background. The difference between freezing and uninstalling, though, is that anything frozen can be quickly "thawed," also with Titanium Backup. With the touch of a button, the missing app or process is right back where it used to be. This is a convenient way for newly rooted users to test the waters of debloating.
Gapps - Google Apps - When flashing custom ROMs, the apps on the phone are usually deleted. As an alternative to going to the Marketplace (Google Play) and re-installing all the favorites (Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Voice, etc.), many devs have packaged these into a tidy zip file that can be flashed via CWM. Why don't they just put the Google Apps in the ROM, you ask? Custom ROMs and Google Apps get software updates at different rates, so keeping the two separate allows users to always have the most up-to-date version of each. On MTD ROMs such as CM7 or anything ICS, you generally must flash the gapps package to get the Android Marketplace (Google Play).
GB - Gingerbread - Android 2.3. Google likes to name its Android releases after sweet foods. Most of our stock phones are running on this release of Android. There are numerous ROMS and kernels compatible with Gingerbread. These are a good starting point for newly rooted users, as they will feel quite familiar.
Github - This is a web-based service where developers can post their code. Depending on the situation, their code can be accessed by other users, modified, or just shared with the world. The site encourages the kind of open source development for which Android is famous.
Governor - This refers to the type of logic your phone uses to control how fast its processor ramps up when needed or slows down when not. The choice of governor can influence overall performance and battery life. The governor can be selected using an OC/UV program such as Voltage Control or NS Tools. No one governor is right for everyone. The fun is in experimenting. Here are some examples and brief descriptions:
performance: Keeps the processor always ramped up to to maximum; useful for benchmarking
ondemand: Rapidly ramps up the processor when needed; gradually slows it down when not needed
conservative: Similar to ondemand, but ramps up more slowly
userspace: The user can define the parameters (for advanced users only).
lazy: This was developed specifically for Android by xda dev Ezekeel. He states it is an enhanced version of ondemand, tuned to our phones' capabilities. Don't be fooled by the name. He tested it with numerous processor-intensive applications.
interactive: Uses a logic to try to predict how quickly it needs to ramp up processor speed, attempting to balance battery life and performance
interactiveX: A tweak on interactive (by dev imoseyon), which locks the processor at the minimum speed when the screen is off
smartass & smartassV2: Modified interactive governors by dev erasmux, they use logic to determine how quickly to ramp up or slow down; designed to optimize battery life without sacrificing performance.
powersave: This keeps the processor always set at the minimum frequency. The name may be a bit misleading, as certain processes will just take longer, using up more battery.
Heimdall - This program is similar to Odin. It was created by an Australian software company called Glass Echidna. It can be used to flash files onto your phone. Some users prefer this program over Odin. Heimdall can be used with Mac computers, whereas Odin can not. Many high level users regularly use both Heimdall and Odin.
ICS - Ice Cream Sandwich - Android 4.0. Google likes to name its Android releases after sweet foods. It comes pre-installed on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Verizon. Several developers have created ways to install ICS on the Samsung Fascinate.
init.d - This is a type of script used by developers when they modify Android code. You hear the term a lot because modifications using this type of script have far-reaching effects in the overall performance of the phone. High level users (who aren't quite devs) can even insert bits and pieces of init.d scripts to make minor tweaks to their phones.
Inverted - By default, most Google apps consist of a white screen with dark lettering. Inverting changes this to a dark screen with light letters. There are several advantages to this. Beyond the aesthetic advantages, it tends to be easier on the eyes in low light situations and reduce battery consumption. Inversion is done by talented individuals called themers.
I/O Scheduler - This refers to the type of logic your phone uses to order and process read and write requests to your phone's hard drive. There are several types, which are listed below, but there is no magic bullet. The joy is in finding the one that works for you in terms of performance and battery life. It is worth noting, though, that certain schedulers were designed to be used with mechanical rotating hard drives, taking the drive's rotational position into account. This does not apply to our phones, which use solid state drive technology. A scheduler can be selected by using an OC/UV control program such as Voltage Control or NS Tools. Specific descriptions are beyond the scope of this glossary, but simple Internet searches can expand on any of schedulers listed.
Examples: noop, deadline, cfq, bfq, sio, vr, bfs
* In the absence of a dev's recommendation, if you don't feel like reading up on the subject, you can leave the scheduler at the default or choose noop or sio.
JB - Jelly Bean - Android 4.1. Google likes to name its Android releases after sweet foods. This is the latest version of Android to hit the streets, and devs are flocking to it , making all JB development new and exciting.
Jig - This is a tiny Frankensteinian device made of a small chip, a transistor, and the tip of the little micro-USB connector that you plug into your phone to charge it or attach it to your computer. When your phone will not go into download mode through normal means, putting a jig into the phone when the battery is in will make your phone go into download mode. You can make one yourself or buy one online for less than $10.
Kang - Generally used as a verb, this means to take bits and pieces of someone else's coding and to then integrate it into your own. Granted, noobs won't be doing this, but devs do it all the time. For the most part, this is considered a welcome practice among friendly devs, provided it is done correctly and politely. Kanging often serves to better the community as a whole. The key for devs is to give credit to the other devs from whom they have kanged.
Kernel - This is one of the two main components (ROM being the other) of the software running on an Android phone. It is the piece of software that connects the hardware (screen, softkeys, vibration, speakers, etc.) to the other software components. An unrooted phone comes with a stock kernel. It is stable but somewhat slow. Practically speaking, installing (flashing) a custom kernel will make your phone feel much faster and smoother as it moves through screens and opens apps. Generally speaking, installing a new kernel will not change the basic appearance of your phone or erase any of your phone's information. Custom kernels can also unlock several abilities of rooted phones. Examples include:
-wireless tethering (ignoring that pesky $30/month charge from Verizon)
-control over how and when the softkeys at the bottom of the screen light up
-overclocking/undervolting
-voodoo lagfix (This only applies to phones with BML-based ROMs. MTD ROMs don't need lagfix.)
-custom boot animations
Lean Kernel - Created by imoseyon, He intentionally leaves out a lot of the "bells and whistles" to keep the experience simple, smooth, and fast. Imoseyon works with several phones, so it is imperative that you have the correct version of Lean Kernel, the one appropriate for your phone.
Linaro - This is a team of software engineers developing open source software for numerous platforms, particularly as it relates to getting maximum bang for the buck from systems with memory and hardware limitations. For our purposes, many Linaro modifications are making their way into our custom ROMs, promising increased speed and responsiveness.
Logcat - This is a log of all of the processing activity your phone did over a certain period of time. This is useful for bug reporting, as devs can examine logcats and attempt to determine the source of the error(s). Many threads in the development forum request logcats to go alongside any bug reports. A logcat can be generated through adb, and there are also some apps that will do it for you. Random complaints aren't terribly useful for devs, but logcats generally are. This classic cartoon illustrates how many devs feel about disorderly complaints about their work, even though most are far too polite to say anything.
Milestone - Devs are always trying to incorporate the latest and greatest features into their ROMs. The add-ons are incorporated as parts of new releases, or "builds." This is what makes development exciting, but it also leads to bugs. Milestone builds occur when the devs sit back, roll up their sleeves, and work the bugs out of all the awesome features they've crammed into their work. The milestones are considered the relatively safe and stable builds. When installed correctly, they rarely experience major bugs.
MIUI - This term is a transliteration of a Chinese name for a special customization of Android actually developed in China. MIUI ROMs can be installed on the Fascinate. They change the look and feel of the Android system, moving it closer to something resembling iOS, the iPhone's operating system. A lot of custom development has been done with the software code from the MIUI system. Many devs will integrate bits and pieces of MIUI into their own ROMs. For example, the TSM Resurrection ROM allows you to use the MIUI battery indicator, which looks completely different from the standard battery indicator.
MTD - This is a technical term used by devs to describe the software organization in your phone, as it relates to things called partitions. The bottom line is that the stock organizational system, called BML, is somewhat fixed and limited, whereas MTD offers devs a great deal of flexibility. Heavily customized ROMs like those from CyanogenMod or anything MIUI rely on MTD file organization. All of our ICS ROMs use MTD. MTD ROMs, generally speaking, experience very little lag, as compared to BML ROMs. When returning to a normal BML ROM from an MTD ROM, special precautions need to be taken.
Nandroid - This is a backup of your entire phone as it stands at that moment in time (ROM, kernel, text messages, your Angry Birds progress, etc.). It is stored on your sd card, which is somewhat immune to your tinkering. A Nandroid backup is a good failsafe for the times when you might want to try out that new experimental kernel your favorite dev has been working on. The files can also be saved on a home computer/flash drive/etc. for safe keeping. Nandroid backups are created using a recovery program like Clockworkmod Recovery. CWM can also use old Nandroids to restore a phone to its previous condition.
Nightly - Nightlies - Some rooted users like the idea of having the most stable, tested, and reliable ROMs available. Others prefer the excitement of being on the cutting edge. Nightlies are the untested regular releases of whatever a certain dev happens to be working on at the time. They package them up, post them online, and let the discussions ensue. These are not for the faint of heart. They are for people who are comfortable addressing freezes, boot loops, and force closes.
Noob - If you have to ask what this means, this is what you are. It's a derivation of "newbie" or "newb," someone who's new to the activity at hand. In many ways, the noob is defined by his actions rather than by the amount of time he's spent rooting phones or posting on xda. Here are a few standard behaviors that will immediately brand someone as a noob:
-Posting new threads to ask questions that have been answered dozens of times. (Hint: It's best to search before posting)
-Posting ROM complaints (without logcat), beginner questions, and other non-development topics in the development forums (It has been theorized that this will ultimately be the end of xda)
-Diving in and flashing away without reading and then posting about your problems (Everyone needs to read the Guide.)
NSTools - This is an app that requires superuser permissions. It can be used to control a variety of the phone's features that are unlocked when running a custom kernel. It can enable fast charge, BLN, overclocking, and undervolting. It often comes pre-installed with ICS ROMs.
OC - Overclocking - Computer processors operate at a variety of speeds. When a manufacturer sells a product (like a phone) to the general public, they strictly limit the speed at which the built in processor can operate, even though the processor may be capable of more. This is to promote stability and reliability. Rooted users can overclock their phone's processor, raising the maximum speed at which it can operate. This can be done through various apps, including Voltage Control and NS Tools. Some ROMs even have the controls built into their settings. There are limits, though. Running a processor at too high a speed can cause overheating and/or glitches.
Odin - This is a program of seemingly mysterious origins that allows your home computer to communicate with your phone. You download it to your home computer. Good communication with your phone requires the installation of Samsung drivers on your computer as well as the use of the USB cable that came with your phone. Among other things, Odin can be used to root your phone, install CWM Recovery, install custom ROMs and kernels, and return your phone to stock after you've screwed it up.
*NEVER touch the "Phone" button on Odin. It should be labeled "Destroy your Phone"
OP - Original Post - This refers to the first post in any given thread, the one that started the thread in a discussion forum. A common noob mistake is to hop into a thread on page 27, read for 30 seconds, and then chime in with a question. He is often directed to the OP, which contains the answer to his question.
OTA - Over the Air - These are the official firmware upgrades that Verizon has released over the life of this phone. They were either pushed out to our phones in the middle of the night or offered up for us to download at our convenience. The latest one, EH03, came in December of 2011. Generally speaking, rooted users do not receive OTA updates. Also generally speaking, this doesn't really matter. The updates can be found on xda, and it is unlikely that the Fascinate will ever receive another OTA update.
Patch - This generally refers to a zip file that can be flashed using CWM. The file usually contains updates or small modifications to an existing ROM or kernel. A great example is the patch that reprograms the phone dialer's voicemail button to open Google Voice instead of the standard voicemail or Visual Voice Mail.
PDA Button - This is the button you will want to use when using the Odin program. You should always avoid the "Phone" button.
Pit file - This is a type of file used with Odin when returning your phone to stock. There is a "Pit" button on Odin you can push to enter the pit file you wish to use. An example of a pit file that you will probably use is Atlas_v2.2.pit. To return to stock, you would use a pit file along with a stock ROM, putting both into Odin at the same time. Droidstyle's guide provides detailed instructions.
Project Butter - This is a Google initiative, launched with Jelly Bean, aimed at reducing phone lag, both real and perceived. It involves research into human visual perception, the pairing of GPU and CPU, graphics buffering, and so on. It's purpose is to make your Android phone run "like buttah."
Radio - a.k.a. Modem - This generally refers to the software that manages the phone's connection to the outside world, not the physical device itself. Verizon would release new versions of this software from time to time in their OTA updates. The two most popular ones are currently EH03 (the latest) and EC09. Both of these work with Android 2.3 and the various Android 4.0 ROMs. The choice of radio can determine your 3g download speeds. It's difficult to say that one is better than another. Different users find good results with each one. Both radios are available as zip files that can be flashed in CWM.
Recovery - Your phone comes with a recovery program. You have to choose to boot it up as an alternative to booting up your phone's normal touchscreen interface. An ordinary phone user would probably never even see this program. It's not pretty. It's just functional. It is basically a list of commands and technical terms that you can navigate using the phone's softkeys, volume up & down buttons, and the power button (to select). Essential to rooting are the special recovery programs such as CWM Recovery. A special recovery program, which is flashed via Odin, will replace the stock recovery program for a rooted user.
Re-Partition - This is one of the check boxes in Odin. This box should be checked only when returning your phone to stock. Of Odin's various check boxes, this is the only one for which widespread agreement of its use exists.
ROM - This is one of the two main components (kernel being the other) of the software running on an android phone. It generally determines the overall appearance of your phone, including which apps are installed by default. The ROM that comes installed on your phone right out of the box is known as the stock ROM. Created by devs, there are numerous custom ROMs available for the Fascinate. Popular ROMs a newly rooted user might try are Superclean3, PWGB, and GeeWiz. The process of flashing a custom ROM to your phone will, generally speaking, erase everything on your phone. The most popular ROM for the Fascinate right now is probably the AOKP version of ICS.
Root - When you buy your phone from Verizon, Verizon still controls it. You are simply a user who is allowed to perform various Verizon-approved activities on it. Gaining root access to your phone grants you the control that Verizon had previously held. Rooting quite literally makes you the "Superuser," opening numerous possibilities for improvement, customization, and ruin. Root access is essential to having a fast, fully customized phone.
Root Explorer - This is an app downloadable from the Android Marketplace (Google Play). As it requires Superuser permissions, it is only functional for rooted users. Its abilities far exceed those of standard file management apps. For example, Root Explorer can copy .apk files directly into the system/apps folder in Android. It's a great way to get that obscure Samsung widget reinstalled on your phone after your favorite developer's ROM washed it away and called it bloat.
Samsung Drivers - This is a small piece of downloadable software that will need to be installed on your home computer before it will be able to communicate with your phone (via Odin or adb).
Skin - This is a program that a phone manufacturer creates with the goal of making its phones more user friendly. It is basically an interface that sits on top of the pure Android guts underneath, hence the term "skin." The skin that comes with Samsung phones is called TouchWiz. This is why our phones don't look quite the same as our friends' HTC or Motorola phones, even though they are all using Android. Some people love TouchWiz. Some people hate it. Some custom ROMs are designed to be used with TouchWiz. Others are designed to be rid of it.
SOD - Sleep of Death - This is when your phone goes into standby mode but then goes into a catatonic state somewhere between being asleep and completely powered down. Users report various degrees of SOD. Some ROMs and kernels have been associated with it, as have certain apps, certain radios, and certain SD cards. Experimenting with fringe OC/UV and didle settings are often responsible these days. Generally, a battery pull (or better, Volume Up + Power) will revive the phone. Once a phone experiences a SOD, it seems likely that it will happen again, so a fix will need to be instituted. A modification of OC/UV settings or a return to stock and clean installation of your ROM, kernel, and apps are recommended.
Superuser - A rooted phone will have a new icon in the list of apps called Superuser. This is what distinguishes a rooted phone from a non-rooted phone. There are numerous apps available on the web and Android Marketplace (Google Play) that require "Superuser permission" to do what they do. Common examples of these apps include NS Tools, Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, Voodoo Sound, NS Tools, and Voltage Control. When a rooted user first runs one of these special apps, the app will ask for Superuser permission. Since you are now the Superuser, you get to press the button that says allow or one that says deny.
S Voice - Korean Siri, courtesy of Samsung.
Swype Beta - One of the early perks of rooting, the latest version of Swype is not available to unrooted users because the Fascinate comes with a special pre-installed (and perhaps outdated) version of Swype. Upgrading gives a slicker version of Swype with a more advanced word selection logic. You must follow a few steps to do it correctly:
1. Change the input method to the Android keyboard (settings->language & keyboard).
2. Uninstall Swype using Titanium Backup.
3. Go to the Swype website, give them your email address, and then follow their lead.
*ICS ROMs don't contain any traces of Swype, so steps 1 and 2 can be skipped for them
.tar - This is the file extension for the files that get flashed via Odin. The file to install CWM, for example, is a .tar file. Another example is the file that returns your phone back to stock.
TB - TiBu - Titanium Backup - This is an app available on the Android Marketplace (Google Play). It is for rooted users only, and it requires Superuser permissions to operate normally. Its two main functions are:
1. Creating backups of your phone (or parts of it) in case you screw it up
2. Freezing or uninstalling apps and other stuff you don't want (i.e. debloating)
Thanks button - Once you have created an established account at xda and made a post or two, you will begin to see a button with a little thumbs up sign next to the word "Thanks." This can be found on the lower right corner of someone's post. Pushing this button lets the person who posted know that their work is appreciated. It is considered polite to thank anyone who has helped you, whether or not it was in direct response to your own question. It is always polite to thank the devs whose software you are using. Xda tallies these thanks and gives experienced users a quantifiable measure of their contributions to the community. You will see a thanks meter under other users' names. Helpful people and prolific devs can have hundreds or thousands of thanks.
Troll - This describes a person who attempts to transform a civil forum discussion into a battle of harsh words. They generally lure people into a massive argument by posting inflammatory remarks that are just slightly off topic. They then sit back and laugh to themselves as the argument develops into the nerd equivalent of a bar fight. To feed a troll and make him stronger, just respond to him. To weaken him, report his posts to moderators.
TW - TouchWiz - see "Skin"
TWRP - TeamWin Recovery Project - This is an alternative to the traditional recovery program. Rather than using the volume rocker, softkeys, and power button to interact with it, a touchscreen interface is used. While it offers some interesting potential, it is still under development in terms of compatibility with the Fascinate and our popular ROM/kernel setups.
UV - Undervolting - This is a means of attempting to reduce battery consumption when using custom kernels. Rooted users can accomplish this through one of several apps, with Voltage Control and NS Tools being common examples. The point of whether UV reduces battery consumption is highly contentious, but there does seem to be a theoretical basis for its validity, as well as a preponderance of anecdotal evidence.
Voltage Control - This is an app available on the Android Marketplace (Google Play). It requires root access (i.e. Superuser permissions). When used with compatible kernels, it allows you to overclock and undervolt your phone.
Voodoo - Project Voodoo is a collaborative software development effort started by dev supercurio back when Galaxy S phones first hit the market. Its goal was to optimize the Galaxy S, bringing it up to its full potential. Voodoo innovations have been used by countless rooted users. Voodoo features can only be used on compatible custom kernels. The project consists of three main branches:
1. Voodoo Color - optimizes screen images/video *Not really available in most modern Fascinate setups, but people still talk about how they miss it.
2. Voodoo Sound - optimizes sound quality for audiophiles *The Voodoo Sound app is available from the Marketplace (Google Play) to control settings.
Wipe x3 - This term refers to the act of wiping the slate clean on your phone. It removes all apps you have installed and any data associated with those apps. It will not erase Android, your ROM, your kernel, or anything on your sd card (your photos and videos are on your sd card by default). The Wipe x3 is often done before making major changes to your phone's system. The process is accomplished through a recovery program such as CWM. Here are the 3 commands (hence the "x3"):
1. wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cache partition
3. wipe dalvik cache
*Note, performing a wipe data/factory reset will reportedly wipe the cache partition and the dalvik cache, so steps 2 & 3 may be redundant.
zip - For our purposes, this refers to the file type for files that can be flashed with CWM or other recovery programs.
*Credit goes to Jawman27 for a great glossary!

Have you tried rebooting your phone again to see if it restores the signal bar. I've seen that behavior before.

Couple of letters transposed. Think he meant VRALJB which is what shows on my device instead of VRAJLB.
The new link for Odin has reference to the Samsung GS3 in the title, does this matter?

Can anyone else confirm this? Did rebooting fix the issue?
Also, the driver link is for GS3 too. does that matter?
Rebooting does not fix the issue and there is no multi view, but it was useless in its current state anyway. There is blocking mode though.

I was talking about VRLI3 in the file name but after reading the other thread it looks like this is just the system img so it retains the version you have on your phone?

[Q] System memory & Bloatware

hi guys. got some help about bloatware and system memory.
Bloatware :
- How to delete bloatware clean. as one of my friend said that if we only delete the apk, we still be left with the dependencies, data, lib etc.
- Is there universal tool to delete unwanted bloatware, since I already tried searched here, and all I found are there's only script for different brand and type.
System memory :
- What happen if we got our system memory full (beside we can't install new apps).
- Can we re-size our system memory (for android which doesn't have SD-Card slot).
- Is it true that it's better to keep all apps on system apps, rather than move it to SD-Card.
I know for some of you here, this question sounds simple. but this can really help for fresh android user to avoiding chaos.
Thanks for the time and answers.

[ROM] OOS[microG] for Oneplus 5T [8.1.0]

I am no longer working on this, or updating any information here! This was created back in the day of Oreo.
I've personally moved on and I'm presently using /e/ which you can see the info here and get the ROM for OP5T.
/e/OS documentation - OnePlus 5T
Info about OnePlus 5T - dumpling
As of this post edit on 10/20/22 I'm using 'e-1.4-r-20220922220394-dev-dumpling' and /e/ uses microg. It runs quite nice, so check it out!
NEW VERSION RELEASE: OOS[microG]-5.1.7-3185.041719 - (Read the second post for changes!)
OOS[microG] - Better performance, basic and simple, customize it your way!
No more proprietary Google Framework & Play Services!
No more OnePlus Data Analytics!
OOS[microG] comes with native support built in for microG and Signature Spoofing!
OOS[microG] is based on 1 year of experience on several devices, also hundreds of hours went into the preparation and making of OOS[microG]!
OOS[microG] is OxygenOS stripped down and more basic, allowing you to start installing it your way! There's not even a browser in OOS[microG], install what you want!
The point of OOS[microG] is to be as Google Free as possible, to offer better Performance, Security, Privacy, and Freedom without the Google Framework & Play Services!
OOS[microG] is not as complete a Google ROM as OxygenOS, but it still uses and requires a few Google applications because of how OnePlus created the ROM.
OOS[microG] uses F-Droid to access "Free Open Source Software", you can also install Aurora Store or Yalp Store which downloads directly off of the Play Store servers for any other applications you want.
Please be aware that OOS[microG] plays no part in the development of any application installed!
If you have any problems please be specfic, with as much detailed information as possible, so that issues can be investigated properly!
Please read this entire post before making any replies, as it may answer your question(s).

Not Working
Because OOS[microG] is OxygenOS stripped of the Google Framework & Play Services, some applications and features will not work at present, these issues are being investigated, maybe in time they will be supported! Hopefully the lack of these few features will not discourage those from the many other benefits of OOS[microG]!
Gallery applications - "Share button & "Set as"
OnePlus Weather - (removed)
Because of the modifications needed for the framework-res.apk, the Gallery "Share button" & "Set as" will not work. Without these changes to the framework-res.apk the alternative would be the need for Xposed in the ROM, maybe in time this situation might change.
FAQ
Q: What is OOS[microG]?
A: OOS[microG] is a stripped down version of OxygenOS 5.1.7 that uses microG instead of the Google Framework & Services!
Q: What is this Performance, Security, Privacy, and Freedom being mentioned?
A: The Google Framework & Services do not offer the same Security, Privacy, and Freedom, mainly because of the "Proprietary Nature". The Google Framework & Services are also heavier on system resources, whereas microG is much lighter, so they lack the Performance that microG offers!
Q: OOS[microG] is for Oreo?
A: Yes - At the moment this is Oreo 8.1.0
Q: Can I Root OOS[microG]?
A: Yes - OOS[microG] can be Rooted like any typical ROM, it was tested on Magisk 18.0!
Q: Is OOS[microG] completely free software?
A: No - it still has OnePlus' proprietary software to support their hardware, and a few of their own proprietary applications, also a few Google applications are still installed because of how OnePlus created the ROM.
Q: Will OOS[microG] pass SafetyNet with microG?
A: Yes - Please see the "SafetyNet" section below!
Q: What is microG?
A: microG is basically a replacement for the Google Framework and Play Services, to allow you to still access all of Google's services, and use applications that rely on them, please see https://microg.org/
Q: Does everything work with microG?
A: It is not 100% perfect, so you might run into an issue with either an application or functionality that relies heavily on the Google Framework & Services.
Q: Is battery life better with OOS[microG]?
A: Yes - microG is lighter on resources which improves battery life, whereas the Google Framework & Services are heavier on resources causing more battery drainage.
Q: Why do you use the NanoDroid's version of microG and not the Official microG?
A: The Official microG sometimes doesn't get development as fast, and thanks to the great work of the NanoDroid project, NanoDroid-microG is getting faster development. Please be aware this is still the Official microG with fixes/changes added in by the NanoDroid project!
Q: Isn't it better to just use Custom ROMS?
A: It depends - If Custom ROMS are not using microG, then you don't have the same Performance, Security, Privacy, and Freedom, they are still reliant on the Google Framework & Services which are proprietary and not free, so less Performance, less Security, less Privacy, less Freedom, also heavier on resources, with microG it's the complete opposite! Custom ROMS also need good development to support a manufacturer's hardware, like the camera on the OnePlus 5T as an example. The hardware from manufacturers is typically supported by proprietary software, and depending on the Custom ROM development, trying to support this hardware can be easy or difficult. Using a ROM developed by the manufacturer offers the best hardware support, but of course manufacturers all use Google. For those looking for alternatives away from Google, and the best hardware support, this is where OOS[microG] steps in!
Q: Can't I just run a ROM without any Google or microG and still have it all work the same?
A: No - If you want an Android phone with a lot of features and functionality, otherwise it's going to be very limited. At the present moment you need either the Google Framework & Services or microG. The job of microG is to replace the Google Framework & Services so that you have all the same features/functionality, localization services, push notifications, Google Cloud Messaging, Maps API, etc., not to mention all the applications that are reliant on the Google Framework & Services, that won't work if you don't have either the Google Framework & Services installed or microG!
Q: I thought Android was Open Source and Free?
A: Yes and No - The core of the Android source code is known as Android Open Source Project (AOSP). However, proprietary software developed by Google known as the Google Mobile Services (GMS), is not a part of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Q: Why does Free Open Source Software matter?
A: There are of course Pros & Cons between Proprietary and Free Open Source, but if Freedom, Security, or Privacy, along with Performance on the subject of microG, if any of these matter to you, then you need to investigate this for yourself. This subject matter is to indepth to fully explain here. These are a few links to point you in the right direction;
https://www.fsf.org/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-source_software
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_and_open-source_software
Q: What is F-Droid Privileged Extension?
A: It allows F-Droid to install and uninstall applications without needing the unsafe "Unknown Sources" to be enabled. F-Droid can then install updates in the background without user intervention needing to click "Install".
Q: How can I get paid applications?
A: For some applications you might be able to download them through your account on either Aurora Store or Yalp Store, for others you might need to have the Play Store installed. If you need to use the Play Store, please visit the NanoDroid project on XDA for help with replacing FakeStore with the Play Store. It is recommened that you use the NanoDroid version of the Play Store which has been patched to work with microG for paid applications.
Q: Why do I see the Play Store listed for update when I add in the NanoDroid F-Droid Repo?
A: The FakeStore spoofs the Play Store as a replacement this is why you see it, you can ignore the update in F-Droid so it doesn't appear!
Q: What is this version of WebView installed and how do I update it?
A: This is the AOSP WebView, you can also install the Google WebView if you want to use it too. Whichever version you use be sure to enable it in the "Developer options" > "WebView implementation". Updates for AOSP WebView will appear on this post for you to download and install when they become available.

Post Installation
The Android Setup Wizard has been disabled, even though it's disabled it still runs in the background helping to complete the installation. When the phone first starts, if you notice an overhead notification from the "Android Setup", tap "NOT NOW" then "Never", there is nothing further you can do with the Wizard!
OOS[microG] comes with the DejaVuNlpBackend, MozillaNlpBackend, and NominatimNlpBackend for the Location Services for microG. The NominatimNlpBackend uses MapQuest's Nominatim service. For the NominatimNlpBackend you'll need to sign up for a free account at MapQuest to get an API key. There are also other plugins available through F-Droid to use besides the ones installed in OOS[microG], if you wish to use!
https://developer.mapquest.com/
Phone > Settings > "Location ( Mode - High Accuracy)"
microG - "Google device registration" - ON (Enabled)
UnifiedNlp Settings - check mark all - DejaVU, Mozilla, Nominatim
"Address lookup" - Nominatim - pick MapQuest!
F-Droid > Settings - enable "Expert mode" - "Privileged Extension" will now be enabled at the bottom of the Settings.
F-Droid > Settings - Repositories - Add the NanoDroid Repo - https://nanolx.org/fdroid/repo so that you can update microG and the applications it uses!
Highly recommened for better performance/speed! - "Developer options" > Drawing - "Window animation scale" (Animation off) - "Transition animation scale" (Animation scale .5x) - "Animator duration scale" (Animation scale .5x)
Changing the "Drawing" settings in the "Developer options" might appear jumpy to some people, that is because the windows and applications will respond faster. If you don't like it, play with the settings to find what's comfortable to you. These settings that have been recommended are for people that want the ultimate speed.
Once you have completed all of the "Post Installation" steps, you should now see all the sections check marked under "Self-Check" in microG. Under the "UnifiedNlp status" section you should have 6 sections now checked, sometimes you have to give it a few seconds for all 6 to appear checked, either go out of "Self-Check" and return, or scroll up and down a few times. At any time, if you disable the Phone Location, or change the Mode, then you will see the "UnifiedNlp status" section with sections unchecked, and it will take a moment for them to all appear checked again, once you have all your Phone Settings for Location correct! "Google device registration" is also required for the Location Services!
SafetyNet
SafetyNet was tested and working with Magisk 18.0 & 18.1.
OOS[microG] doesn't come installed with Google's proprietary binary DroidGuard.
You'll need to download NanoDroid-microG from the NanoDroid Project on XDA for DroidGuard. It is located in the "/system/app/DroidGuard" folder.
You will then need to boot into TWRP and mount "System", from your computer run; adb push DroidGuard /system/app
Use the file manager in TWRP to verify that you now see /system/app/DroidGuard/DroidGuard.apk
In microG make sure that "Google SafetyNet" is ON and upper right, "3 dots > Advanced" - make sure "Use Official Server" is marked!
Open Magisk, in the menu tap "Magisk Hide" and check "microG DroidGuard Helper" & "microG Services Framework Proxy" to hide them! Now tap, "Tap to start SafetyNet check", it should pass! SafetyNet passed in OOS[microG] testing, see the screen shot below!
Updating microG
OOS[microG] uses the NanoDroid-microG version, to keep it updated, place the NanoDroid F-Droid repository in F-Droid.
F-Droid > Settings > Repositories > Upper Right + > https://nanolx.org/fdroid/repo/
FakeStore spoofs the PlayStore, so you will first notice an update for the PlayStore, which can be ignored in F-Droid. Do not install this update with only the FakeStore installed!
Parallel Apps
If you use Parallel Apps it will create a second version of microG in the App Drawer. The second version of microG is not needed and should be removed. To remove it, press and hold on the icon, when the menu appears tap on "App info", then it will take you to microG's "App info" page, tap "Disable" to disable it. You should no longer see the second version in the App Drawer.
Hit the THANKS button it keeps me happy and motivated!

March 05 2019 - New Announcement
I've come to realize through more testing that the reason the Gallery Share button & Set As will not work, is because of modifications to the framework-res.apk, which are needed! Without these changes then Xposed would be needed in the ROM. Hopefully many will agree, that a lack of a few features such as these in the Gallery is a better choice, instead of needing Xposed. I'll keep looking into this situation, maybe in time I will be able to figure out a work around.
Parallel apps is now working, and I will release another update in a few days!
Have a look at the screen shots I've attached for Parallel apps!
March 03 2019 - NEW VERSION RELEASE: OOS[microG]-5.1.7-3185.030319

made for the most stable OOS firmware, in PIE OOS stable 9.0.3 is not the latest, because the PIE ROM base is too early
Is it only 5.1.17 we can install on... That's quite far back for Oreo..
Also do you mean 5.1.7 or 5.1.17 because you mentioned both

That was a typo, thanks for pointing that out, fixed now, and it's 5.1.7

Even LineageOS microG doesn't come with DroidGuard installed, which is suppose to be needed for SafetyNet, they don't even talk about SafetyNet either on their website.
OOS[microG] doesn't come with DroidGuard becasue it's a Google Properitary Blob, and the point is to try and stay away from Google as much as possible, but it doesn't mean someone can't use it and work with SafetyNet on their, it's just not supported in OO[microG].
SafetyNet is difficult at times to pass, given Google is always making changes, you'll have to Google or check on XDA for SafetyNet.

Is it only from main Oxygen OS branch, not the beta?
And any idea on ETA to pie?
Look at me asking a bunch of questions to a ROM that I tried to do manually. (I have disabled all Google tracking downloaded Firefox with extensions, disabled Google history... This solutions seems a hundred times better)

I've been so busy working on OOS[microG], that when I started the Pie firmware was not released and I haven't been paying attention to it, but now that I see it's been released when I get a chance I'll start working on a Pie version to release, don't have an ETA at the moment.
It's great to see replies and excitement, did you read my "microG - Deodex - Signature Spoofing - Debloat Gapps!" guide when you did all this manually?

No i didnt use your guide to do that.
Feedback on the ROM
Love the concept and idea
It is however quite jumpy and lavgy (when scrolling or switching apps)
It didnt come with a browser and initially F-droid wouldnt install anything... Parse error. I rebooted disabled the extension then it worked. Re enabled it
Parallel apps isnt working and some apps that require Oneplus Framework crash.... OnePlus Weather
Apps that require GSF dont work. I tried loggijg into snapchat (it cpuld also be safetynet issue with snapchat tho)
Magisk returns safetynet error.... SNot failed safetynet... Just error i think to load it

Have you ever used a microG ROM before? They all work the same, of course there are different versions of microG someone can use, but overall some apps are just difficult with GSF or SafetyNet.
If you're seeking help please be "Detailed" and "Specific", also the exact steps you've taken when you saw an issue.
Did you follow the post, wipe all partitions, install OOS 5.1.7?
Has Pie been installed on your phone, or a lot of 3rd party ROMS?
OOS[microG] is a Full ROM Deodex it will only lag when you first start it. If you changed the Animation in the Developer options as I mentioned, sometimes it might seem like it's jumpy because it moves faster, the windows will move snappier. So if this is the jumpy you are talking about, if you don't like the speed it gives, you can always change back to the default settings.
I explained in the OP that it doesn't come with a browser.
F-Droid works fine, did you dirty flash, or enable "Install unknown apps" on your phone?
OnePlus Weather does not work with microG. Are there other apps giving you a OnePlus Framework message/error?
When you look at the microG GitHub Repo, and the issue reports, based off of that, and how many apps are on the Play Store, the working percentage of microG seems very high. How many apps have you tried that are not working?
Nothing is 100% with microG like any piece of software, I have no control over this, for any apps that require GSF and OnePlus Weather please seek help and submit a report on the NanoDroid if you care to run microG on ROMS!
Parallel Apps appears to not work with microG, so it will be disabled in the next release. There are 3rd party apps that help with this...
P.S. See the OP it's been edited over, there's a new SafetyNet section that's been added!
I read all the things in op and great work doing this , also gone thru faq. I m sure the developers have spent hours an days which is great...but need to be clear what we are achieving with so much effort
But still not clear what is the single pressing point to do this , battery life ? Performance ? Do we know how much % it will improve when compared to same use with Google framework rom ? I m sure the developer did some baseline around this . Performance ratings ?
Other than battery life why would one not want to use Google framework , the way it sounded it to me is , Google is buggy and has lot of issues ,, but in my day to day use I don't experience anything like that
Just trying to figure out motivation for myself to try out this ROM

I thought the objective was made clear?
OOS[microG] - Basic and simple, customize it your way! Faster, lighter, more private, more secure, better performing!
OOS[microG] was made with simple goals in mind, Freedom and Performance!
It doesn't sound like you have used microG in the past?

No I have not used in past and many users are new I guess
But how can u say better performing have u done any benchmarking ? Private I don't care
Secure how ? ...aren't we secured now? Google scans apps and all ..not sure what secure means coz it is a big context
Lighter means what ? Less in size ? Or less battery draining ? Any benchmarking ?
Google is pretty basic and simple too from end-user perspective...I can customize most things
Freedom = what ? We already have freedom , don't we ?

I was only asking, because by understanding and knowing microG, the Google Framework & Services, you'd then understand these things you are asking.
OOS[microG] isn't reinventing anything, or creating anything new, it has only incorporated into OxygenOS what has exsisted for several years in Android & microG.
It's already mentioned in the OP that the Google Framework & Services are heavier on the system resources, that's a fact, because of it, you don't get the same level of performance or battery life as microG.
The Google Framework & Services are Proprietary, and because of this, there are of course many discussions on the differences of Proprietary vs OpenSource as it relates to Freedom, Privacy and Security, that is why these things are mentioned in this ROM. Google also has a past track record that relates to many of these areas, that bring concern to many users...
Since we are discussing a ROM, this is not just about end-user perspective that you only see when using it, but what is underneath the hood at the System Level. At the System Level Google is not so basic and simple, it lacks the Freedom you are asking about in that it is Proprietary, only Google knows what is in that code, and that also begs the question over it's Security, when you can't audit the code and know what it's doing.

If you care to wait a few days, I am releasing a updated version, there were some changes made...
Thanks Bro
This work deserve more attention.
Even if it's not on Pie, I don't care, it's just too good. Pie is overrated and barely at Nougat kneel.
Thank you.
EDIT : Continuation from a DM ;
It is absolutely perfect in almost every areas, smooth and debloated of ****, sadly I can't make it work with a game called "Girls frontline" , it basically says "can't install the app" via playstore.
Of course, I got some paid apps like themes, hyperion launcher and another game that works.
So i'm turning to you, as I don't really know why it is happening.
As for your update, I can't wait to get it, it could probably fly the small issue i'm facing.
Also, I did your guide several times since the first time you created it, for fun, and I learnt lots.

[Lemon Drop] A [Debloated] & [DeGooged] [Stock] [Oreo] [Rom] for the H910 & most Lgv20 phones.

Welcome to the Lemon Drop Rom, for the Lgv20...
Auto_Debloat is a twrp flashable file I created, it's very unique in that you flash in twrp after you have already flashed Stock Oreo v8.0, kernel, magisk ect. This will transform Stock Oreo 8.0 into The Lemon Drop Rom. Auto_Debloat mods the build.prop file and updates the GPU drivers and tweaks. I love music, Lemon Drop was designed with music in mind, by forcing true 24 bit audio, at 44.1 kHz and System wide Quad DAC support. You will need to install apps like the alarm clock and weather. Most all LG apps are still there and some Google apps, like Chrome and the Play Store. You can always DeGoogle, at any time or keep Google Play Services installed. The idea is to customize Lemon Drop, to fit your needs.
Please read Questions, before rooting or flashing Auto_Debloat.

New v9.39 & v8.39
Updated to speed mod v5.15 trying to save a little bit of battery life without sacrificing speed. Also fixed some apps crashing.
New v9.38 & v8.38
Added some Zram tweaks.
New v9.37 & v8.37
I got Zram fixed. I was able to have 22 apps open at the same time and Android did not close the apps on me. I was using 1.8 gig's of Zram when doing that. Because Zram was never working before it will take like 1 second sometimes to open an app that's because it's in compressed ram and the phone needs to uncompress it on the fly. So just an fyi. The Zram size is 2304MB with a mem_limit of 768MB. But this will save loading from the eMMC drive because we are loading the apps from Zram once you have opened the app. Oh yeah and swapfile is disabled. Enjoy everyone.
New v9.36 & v8.36
Also Changed zram disk size to the optimal size of 2304MB I did the math and this is the best size of zram for this phone. Swapfile is disabled.
New v9.35 & v8.35
Removed the swapfile as it may slow the phone down. Increased the size of the Zram.
Enable 768MB Zram mem_limit and disksize of 3840MB
New v9.34 & v8.34
Fixed an issue with the swapfile priority
New v9.33 & v8.33
Changed Zram to 768MB Added swapfile 1024MB
Fixed issue with sluggish ui
I set the priority of Zram to high and the swapfile to low so the phone will use Zram first then once it's filled up the phone will start using the swapfile. This should give us a lot more ram for multitasking.
New v9.32 & v8.32
Added a 1.5Gig Zram with lz4 compression. Removed Swapfile.
Well I did a lot of research and trial and error, and have concluded that we need to give zram a try. I have came up with a custom zram that's 1.5Gig's. This phone is lacking ram. I wish we had 6 gig's or 8gig's. But we have 4gig's and most of that is used by the OS. So the only way to increase the ram on the phone is with zram. The next version will have my own custom zram config that's 1.5gig's. I got it done already. I guess I always thought that zram would slow my phone down, but I have tweaked this version to make it fast. I have to say I am impressed with the results.
New v9.31 & v8.31
Changed swapfile size to 256MB
Found the optimal swapfile size it's 256MB. That will reduce writes on the eMMC drive and still allow you to open a number of apps at the same time without having android kill them. The tweak from last version helps a lot also by freeing up extra ram.
New v9.30 & v8.30
Free up extra ram by reset zram0 and zram1
Lemon Drop is still using a swapfile
New v9.29 & v8.29
Added Speed mod v5.14 change micro sdcard disk scheduler to noop. Might speed up sdcard a little bit.
New v9.28 & v8.28
Added the Lemon Drop Boot logo. I think the phone may boot a little bit faster because there is no animation to load.
New v9.27 & v8.27
Added Speed mod v5.13 fixed image retention issue.
New v9.26 & v8.26
Added Speed mod v5.12 some tweaks a little faster and may improve battery life.
New v9.25 & v8.25
Tweaked the 1024MB Swapfile
New v9.24 & v8.24
Added Internet Speed Tweak
I tweaked "/system/vendor/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant_overlay.conf" and the wifi is a lot faster now.
New v9.23 & v8.23
Added Camera improvement tweak. This will make the photos you take crisp, clear and sharp.
New v9.22 & v8.22
Fixed bug if system is mounted as read-only. If so then Auto_Debloat would not install. Some other small bug fixes.
New v9.21 & v8.21
Added speed mod v5.11. This should speed up the phone a little bit more. Should also save battery life. I tweaked the sched_upmigrate and sched_downmigrate. The up is set to 95% and down is set to 90%. So if a task is using more that 95% of cpu it will go the big cpu and vice versa.
New v9.20 & v8.20
Increased the swapfile to 1024MB & some fixes. No Zram only a swapfile.
New v9.19 & v8.19
Added Speed Mod v5.10 Tweaked Entropy speed tweak a little bit more.
New v9.18 & v8.18
Added Speed mod v5.9 Added an entropy speed tweak. Should speed up the phone and help with lag.
New v9.17 & v8.17
New Name for the Rom: Lemon_Drop
Added name to Android Version 8.0.0_Lemon_Drop
Just if you were wondering it's the Lemon Drop Candies not the drink. They were always my fav as a kid.
New v9.16 & v8.16
Added United States GPS Fix
To: /system/vendor/etc/gps.conf
New v9.15 & v8.15
Changed the swap file to 512MB, It's more like 488MB but it should be plenty.
New v9.14 & v8.14
Added a 341MB swap file to /cache/swapfile
This is something I wanted to do for a long time but I did not know where to put it at. The cache directory is the best place for it. Flashing the Speed Mod will remove the swap file. If that happens just flash Auto_Debloat again.
On v9.14 & v8.14
You may want to do a format data & reinstall of Oreo And Auto_Debloat. My phone is running faster, sound is great, I am getting close to the final version, this may be it.
New v9.13 & v8.13
Added AdAway default blocklist to /system/etc/hosts
New v9.12 & v8.12
Added a cool Droid startup animation no sound.
New v9.10 & v8.10
Updated speed mod to v5.8, a lot faster now. I think this is the max speed I can get out of the Lgv20.
New v9.9 & 8.9
It's even faster than v8.9 & v8.8. I found OTA file that is needed by the phone to do updates. I deleted that. And also I downgraded Magisk from v23.0 to v21.4 in v9.9. I think for now we should just stay on Magisk v21.4 it seems to work the best with Oreo. Only thing is you need to do another full reinstall again, for this new version. I am getting close to being done with Auto_Debloat.
New v9.8 & v8.8
Formatted the RCT and FOTA devices. Before I was just wiping them. Now there is no way the phone can download FOTA updates. Not in less Android knows how to read a NTFS file system. I think this new version has improved the speed of the phone a lot. Full reinstall is required for this version. Also found out how to unmount all the partitions after Auto_Debloat is done.
New v9.7 & v8.7
Updated to Speed mod v5.7 some other fixes. Enjoy.
I think this is it for awhile. I just keep finding thing to tweak. I am having fun.
New Stable versions of Auto_Debloat
v9.6 & v8.6
Updated the speed mod to v5.6
v9.5.1 & v8.5.1
I spent a lot of time changing the Auto_Debloat install script to get a perfect install of Stock Oreo Debloated. The trick is to un-mount all partitions after Auto_Debloat is done and before you reboot from TWRP into system. It's recommended to do a full reinstall with this version. Lot's of changes to the install script. Also Updated twrp to twrp-3.6.2_9-0-h910.
v9.2.2 & v8.2.2
Sable Branch version also. Has no add-on mods installed. It's recommended to do a full reinstall with this version. Lot's of changes to the install script. Un-mount all partitions after Auto_Debloat is done and before you reboot from TWRP into system.
v9.4 &v 8.4
Updated the Speed mod from v5.4 to v5.5. Moved Auto_Debloat_log to /system and moved build.prop.stock to /system.
Also there was an issue with Auto_Debloat v9.3 & v8.3 where it was not backing up the original build.prop file. Also my phone was getting hot with v9.3 & 8.3 IDK why? But this new version phone seems to be running a lot cooler.
This version there is some other changes I made to improve the install of Stock Oreo. I would recommend doing a full reinstall with this version, if anything to get your stock build.prop file backed up.
v9.3 & v8.3
I wanted to Include some of my Add-on Mods in Auto_Debloat.
What's included is in v9.3
24_BIT_Deep_Buffers_Enabler_v4.1_Lgv20_Oreo
DAC_Enabler+LGMusic_v1.3
Speed_Mod_Lgv20_msm8996_Oreo_v5.4
Thermal_Engine_Mod_v7.0_70c
System wide Quad DAC support. V6.2 in build.prop file
What's included in v8.3
24_BIT_Deep_Buffers_Enabler_v4.1_Lgv20_Oreo
Speed_Mod_Lgv20_msm8996_Oreo_v5.4
Thermal_Engine_Mod_v7.0_70c
System wide Quad DAC support. V6.2 in build.prop file
You can always just flash the version of the mod you want. Theses are just what's included.
You can update if you want, it's always best to do a full reinstall. Update instructions are down below.
v9.2 & v8.2
I was having an issue with my sdcard, my files were getting corrupted. I think I fixed the issue with v9.2 and v8.2. You can update if you want, it's always best to do a full reinstall. Update instructions are down below.
I think it had something to do with Oreo wanting to encrypt the sd card. But it's a issue I have been dealing with for a long time. Let's hope I got it this time. Always backup your sdcard just in case.
v9.1 & v8.1
This version is 95% Vanilla Stock Oreo Debloated to the max. Same for v9.2 & 8.2. This version there is a bug that may corrupt your sd card. Best use v9.2 or 8.2 if you want a Vanilla Stock Oreo Debloated.

FAQ & Troubleshooting guide
Updated on 05-17-23
Questions (please read before rooting, or flashing Auto_Debloat)
What's the number one rule I should know before I root my Lgv20?
Very crucial before you flash the KDZ to downgrade your firmware for rooting, make a DUMP with LGUP all files, you don't need to dump system or cache. Put it in a very safe place, like google drive. It will have your EFS and your EFS has the IMEI number of that particular phone. If your EFS ever becomes corrupted then you can re-flash your EFS from your backup to get cell signal working again.
Can I just edit step3.bat and install the latest twrp in there?
No. You need the old version of twrp to format data, then you can update twrp to the latest version. You only need to remove the encryption on the data partition once, when rooting your phone. The old version of twrp is the only version I know of, that can remove the encryption on the data partition.
My camera does not work after Auto_Debloat?
If you were on LIneageOS or crDroid and then flashed Stock Oreo, then your camera may not work afterwords. The only fix that I know of is to root your phone again. Flash the KDZ to downgrade your firmware and root again.
I can not download Magisk modules with v24.3?
It's because that version of Magisk is too old, that's the only version that works with Oreo. You can still install Magisk modules offline, from the zip file.
What is the EFS?
"EFS stands for Encrypting File System, which is really important part of networking and communication for Android Smartphones, It also contains your device IMEI data."
What is the MSM8996?
"MSM8996 (or Snapdragon 820) is a Qualcomm SoC released in 2016."
What does FOSS mean?
Free and open-source software
Can all Lgv20 phones be rooted?
Most but not all.
How to check to see if you can root, lgv20 Anti-Rollback Version ARB
Can my LS997 install the Lemon Drop Rom?
As far as I know there is no Oreo Stock rom for the LS997, so Auto_Debloat will not work on that model of phone. But you may be able to install Lineage OS depending on your firmware. Check your ARB.
Sprint LG V20 Model (LS997): Comprehensive Overview of Guides and Resources (and why most LS997 phones are unrootable)
Go back to the top post and follow the install guide for your phone.
End of questions.
Is there a guide I can root my Lgv20 with Dirtysanta?
Yes, this is how I rooted my H910. It should be about the same for other Lgv20 phones, you just need to find your root guide for your phone.
1. Disable real time scanning, on the windows virus scanner. Download all the files, save terminal emulator to your microsd card the other two save on your computer, unzip dirtysanta, install usb drivers if using windows. Root your H910 with this guide.
h910_root_pkg.zip "DirtySanta root package"
usb drivers for windows
Terminal Emulator for Android "f-droid Download APK at bottom of page"
2. [ROOT] HOWTO: AT&T H910 up to v20g (FULLY TESTED) Note: before you flash the KDZ to downgrade your firmware make a DUMP backup with LGUP all files. You don't need to DUMP system or cache. It will have your EFS.
3. On step3.bat wait for phone to reboot from fastboot mode, when you see the LG logo, pull the battery. Do a factory reset and that will load TWRP How to factory reset the Lgv20.
4. Then format data. Very important, you format data with the older version of twrp that is with dirtysanta.
5. Then power off phone.
Note: This next part is for the H910, you need to get your version of twrp for your model of Lgv20. Latest version of twrp link at the bottom of page
6. Download twrp for the H910 twrp-3.7.0_9-0-h910.img
7. With the phone powered off, hold the down volume button and plug in usb to computer and phone.
type on your computer:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.7.0_9-0-h910.img
fastbboot reboot
take battery out
put back in
go into twrp by doing a factory reset. How to factory reset the Lgv20
8. Then you want to format data once more with the new version of twrp.
9. power off phone
10. Now would be a good time to reinstall your EFS. Just scroll down tell you see Manually reinstall your EFS on the Lgv20.
Troubleshooting guide for Dirtysanta
Getting an error on step1.bat "dirtysanta no such file or directory"?
Just disable real time scanning in windows defender, and try again. You will have to unzip the files again as windows defender will eat up dirtysanta. Dirtysanta was created by the Lgv20 community at XDA, it's not a virus.
I am stuck in fastboot mode on step3.bat, I get an error?
You most likely have a driver issue in windows. Just stay in fastboot mode fix your windows drivers and run step3.bat again.
[GUIDE] V20 Fastboot access in Windows.
Getting Secure Start up when booting?
Secure start-up issue. If your getting this screen do not try and type in a password. After 30 attempts it may brick your phone. What's going on is your data partition is still encrypted. You need to do a format in twrp on the data partition. Some versions of twrp will not remove the encryption correct for the Lgv20. I know the twrp version that is with dirtysanta will remove the encryption from the data partition. Then you can just update twrp again, you only need to format once.
Stuck at boot screen after flashing Nougat rom to root?
After flashing the rom to downgrade your firmware to root, if your stuck at the boot screen. Factory reset that should fix the issue.
Manually reinstall your EFS on the Lgv20.
You need to find your Original DUMP of the rom your Lgv20 phone was on, before you downgraded your firmware for rooting.
With the phone powered off, hold the down volume button and plug in usb to computer and phone.
type on your computer:
Note: COM6 is what ever com port you were using at the time.
fastboot flash fsg fsg_COM6
fastboot flash misc misc_COM6
fastboot flash modemst1 modemst1_COM6
fastboot flash modemst2 modemst2_COM6
fastboot reboot
Note: If you just rooted your phone, take battery out after you type fastboot reboot. Because you do not have an os installed yet, the phone will not boot. Go back to the top post and follow the install guide for your phone.
End of dirtysanta guide.

In microG under Self Check, Play Store Phonesky Has correct Signature is not checked.
First disable Chrome and then download and install Kiwi Browser Next arm64 from GitHub.
Download Termux and copy past this command:
su
pm grant com.android.vending android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE
Or use adb
adb shell pm grant com.android.vending android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE
Then update Google WebView to the Latest version from the Aurora Store, restart your phone.
Phonesky should now be checked.
I am logged in as anonymous and the search does not work in Aurora Store?
Yes it's a known bug, open Auora Store sign in as anonymous, open Kiwi browser, do a google search for like "Spotify Lite Play Store". The first link will say in the top left, Google Play. Just click on the link "Spotify Lite". You should get an option to open Aurora Store and set it as the default app. If you get an error "no such app found" or it loads F-droid, then go to settings, do a search for default. Click on Default apps, App links, Aurora Store, click on open supported links, change to ask every time.
Network Location not working with microG?
You have to install Apple UnifiedNlp backend from f-droid and enable it in microG under location modules, disable Deja Vu Location Serivce.
Push Notifications not working?
Clear all data on microG. Give it all the permissions it wants. Open microG and enable Google Device Registration. Wait 30 seconds, then restart your phone. Wait about 2 minutes, enable Cloud Messaging and Location Modules.
Text to speech is not working on my DeGoogled phone.

My camera does not work after Auto_Debloat?
If you were on LIneageOS or crDroid and then flashed Stock Oreo, then your camera may not work afterwords. The only fix that I know of is to root your phone again. Flash the KDZ to downgrade your firmware and root again.
Security PIN not working, or I forgot my PIN to login.
This can happen if you are restoring a twrp backup. Just delete your pin & set it back up again.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I save battery power on the H910 & all phones?
You can turn off AT&T Auto Connect under WIFI. Then under NFC Disable Tag Reading. Also you can download Force_Doze_Mode, this is for all phones.
Force Doze Mode Force your phone into doze mode to save battery. (root only) With Google or without, like LineageOS or a DeGoogled phone.
Also one of my favorite programs for all phones
SuperFreezZ "making it possible to entirely freeze all background activities of any app."
Also if you want to save your battery from wear you can use BatteryBot Pro. You can set an alarm when charged is reached and you can see your battery level on the second screen with the screen off.
BatteryBot Pro "Battery monitoring tool"
Can I see some benchmarks for Auto_Debloat v9.67 & v8.67?
I have an H910 so I can show you benchmarks from Auto_Debloat v9.66 DeGoogled Oreo v20g. I am still using the LG OEM 2018 battery, so a new battery may show better performance.
Geekbench 5
3dmark max
All internet speed tests were done on Auto_Debloat 9.74
Home Wifi on 2.4GHz 144 connection.
AT&T LTE
What options do you recommend for a twrp backup?
Your sdcard need's to be formatted in exfat.
Boot
Recovery
System Image
data (excl. storage)
EFS
Firmware
LAF/Download Mode
What about a twrp restore?
You should factory reset, then restore only if you were already had Lemon Drop installed.
You only need to flash.
Boot
System Image
Data
How do I format my sdcard for the Lgv20 & copy over my data?
Note: Formatting will delete all you data on your microsd card. So you may want to make a backup first before formatting.
I have found that it is best to format the sdcard in twrp.
Click on Wipe
Click Advanced Wipe
Check Mark Micro SD card
Click repair or Change file System
Click Change File System
Click on exFAT
Swipe to format
It's best to just Mount the Usb Storage in TWRP to copy over your data to you micro sd card. I was having issues with my sdcard reader in my laptop. I think it was corrupting the files on the sd card. This way you don't ever have to take your card out of your phone.
What is the differences between Auto_Debloat 9.x & Auto_Debloat 8.x?
Not much they are almost identical. Auto_Debloat 9.x has the H910 boot.img, twrp and modem drivers. Auto_Debloat 8.x does not have the boot.img, twrp or modem drivers, so it can be used on most Lgv20 phones, running Stock Oreo 8.0.
Can I use my Unlocked Lgv20 on another carrier, after Auto_Debloat?
You will need to make sure your APN is setup. Access Point Names, Go to settings, Mobile Networks, Access Point Names. If you do not see your carrier there you need to manually type it in. Do a google search to find your APN carrier settings. Other than that you will need to find out if the Lgv20 model phone you have is compatible with the carrier you are using it on. You may also need to call your cell provider and have them enable LTE or give them your IMEI number.
What does Auto_Debloat change on the Lgv20?
It removes a about one gigabyte of bloatware, disables all logging on the phone. Disabled MLT/LDB that slows your phone down. Removed LG Root Checker tool. Disabled all FOTA updates, when your phone is rooted FOTA updates will break your phone. Oh and there is my very own custom build.prop tweaks I have put together. Also Auto_Debloat will update the GPU drivers. All these changes will speed up the Lgv20 and bring it back to life, so you can use it for years down the road.
Why did I make the Lemon Drop Rom and the extra-add on mods?
I love my Lgv20 phone, it's an awesome phone. I don't think there will ever be another phone like the Lgv20. I want to use my Lgv20 phone for years down the road. I cant stand it when my phone or computers don't run perfect.
Why did I make the FAQ & Troubleshooting guide?
There is no way I could remember all this information. I use the guide myself, when I need to reinstall the Lemon Drop Rom. Once I forgot that I needed to reinstall my EFS, and I could not understand why I was only connecting at 4G not LTE. That's when I decided I need to write all this information down.
I am a developer may I port Auto_Debloat to another phone?
Yes you may, I only have an Lgv20. But if you want to take the time and port Auto_Debloat over to another phone, go for it.
Is LTE going away because of 5G?
"LTE, which stands for Long Term Evolution, will be around for at least 10 years, so 5G will not make LTE obsolete any time soon. May 20, 2020"
Can I change my Lgv20 from CDMA to LTE/GSM?
Depending on your version of firmware.
LG V20 CDMA to LTE/GSM switch via Hidden Menu
Can I go to LineageOS from the Lemon Drop Rom?
Yes you can, flash the KDZ to downgrade your firmware and root your phone again.
The End.

Auto_Debloat v9.1 and v8.1 Fixed GPU permission files. Backed up stock build.prop file just in case you ever need it.

OTA Updates are short for Over the Air Updates. When your phone is rooted then OTA updates will break your phone. I disabled all OTA updates. Also if they push out an OTA Update that changes the ARB Anti Role Back on the Lgv20 then the Lgv20 will be bricked. So it's just a good idea to have them disabled when your phone is rooted. If your going to run a stock based rom.
"An over-the-air (OTA) update is the wireless delivery of new software, firmware, or other data to mobile devices. Wireless carriers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) typically use over-the-air updates to deploy firmware and configure phones for use on their networks over Wi-Fi or mobile broadband."
Hey I just wanted to say thank you for creating this! I have an h910, been running alphaomega for the last couple of years I guess pretty happy but it got a bit buggy and is no longer supported obviously.
So this afternoon I'm gonna back up and take the plunge, change to this stock debloated and see how I get along. I'm a bit nervous haha since it's been ages since I tinkered/flashed anything.....will I remember, will it go smoothly jaja....or will this be two days without a phone and lots of hours sat reading? Soon find out!
I love the v20, really appreciate peoples' efforts to keep it alive and useful - I don't know if I'll ever want/need more from a phone to be honest!
*edit* I'm having real problems getting the rom file from androidfilehost There is only one mirror available and it keeps cutting my connection, I have to pause and restart, downloads a few megs and then stops again.....
If it is easy to put up another copy of the file somewhere it'd be appreciated, thank you!

Thank you very much, I love my Lgv20 phone and don't want to see it die. I have used A/O in the past it is a good rom just a lot of bloatware on the H910 phone. It's not hard at all to install on the H910 just flash two files and your good to go. But as for download the rom I know what your talking about.
If you have issues downloading the rom from androidfile hosting you use this Firefox extension Multithreaded Download Manager
Edit: You also may want to take screen shots of your phone, that way you know how you had your phone setup before hand. Just press down vol and power at the same time. They are stored in /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots Back them up to the micro sdcard because you will need to format data and it will wipe everything on your internal storage. Also you may want to backup everything you want to save from your internal storage to the micro sdcard.

Thanks for your reply! I reckon flashing it will be easy too - hope so!
I did try with a couple of different download managers in Firefox, no luck. Now slowly but surely getting it bit by bit in brave browser haha. It lets me resume after showing "network error", which firefox didn't. Fingers crossed!

Yeah Multithreaded Download Manager is the best download manager I have ever used for Firefox. If that don't work you can always use that extension. I just downloaded the rom just now took about 6 min to download. It download at full speed of your internet.

Thanks again for your replies!
I will persist with brave for now, I'm at 1.4 gigs and it keeps resuming OK so I'll try to be patient haha. I live in the mountains with limited data connection only, when its good 700kbps, average 200ish - but 100gig a month current limit so I really want to get it this time without wasting data If this one doesn't work in brave, one more try with multithreaded and then a walk into town tomorrow if not.
Looking forward to having a clean install again, cheers!

Not a problem, just follow the Installation instructions and Auto_Debloat will do all the hard work for you.
Hey man just to update
The install went smooth as, everything seems very snappy and the battery seems to be lasting nicely, no greenify or anything else installed.
I did get an issue I had before when installing AlphaOmega - I had no modem (phone didn't recognize it had a sim card in the slot). I installed as per instructions formatting and rebooting, coming from my previous AO (also Oreo) installation. Fortunately, I solved this problem, wrote a detailed write up and still had my modified modem file from 3 years ago. Here is that detailed write up for if anyone else should have the problem of only having Modem (cell signal) or Fingerprint working after flash. Doesn't seem to happen to many people, but a few have had the same problem as me.
Now in the long process of getting the phone back as I want it
Thanks again for your time and effort on this - it is so nice to boot into a debloated, snappy phone.....just playing with all your recommendations now, the screen ghosting zip seems to have worked well, battery is great, phone is quick....I'll keep playing and reporting anything interesting etc Subscribed, too of course!

That's great you got it working. Thanks for posting a guide about how to fix the modem on the H910. I know some people have had issues getting the cell signal working correct in Oreo. I have never had that issue before with both H910 phones I have. So that does help out. Enjoy.
hey everyone I have updated the Thermal mods today 5-5-22 and I have updated the speed mods 5-4-22. The thermal mods are most likely the final version, I am very happy with how they turned out this time. Sometimes I have one of those aha moments and everything just comes together. That's how it was with the thermal mods today.
Updated all the speed mods to v3.1
