Band 12 Enabler - X Style (Pure) Android Development

I would exactly call this an enabler but it enables band 12 on any custom rom for the XT1575. No more needing to do the manual process of flashing back to stock and take OTA. Just flash the zip and reboot.

For those of you on T-Mobile who cannot access BAND12. Before flashing this try this: go to settings and IMEI ,if you have t-mobile sim and it displays IME SV - 01. You have no access to b12,after flashing this if it shows SV - 02. Flash worked and you have access to B12 and VolTE

I'm pretty sure it deleted your modem files and replaced it with the newest one from the OTA. That's why the people that took the OTA or sideloaded the OTA are able to get band 12. Custom ROMs don't flash modem so the old modem was still on the phone if you were on 5.1.1 when updating to a custom marshmallow ROM.

My original modem zip just installed the new modem from the mm ota. This does that and updates another modem file that was missing in some custom roms. Which enables imei sv 2 for band 12.

Well, thats a great question I never looked into it and it seems that you are right, EU doesn't use band 12 at all. I actually realised that using XT1575's modem I'm limiting myself to a great amount of less LTE band. Basically I leak Europe's specific band 20 which is accordingly to wiki one of the main bans :S.
Do you guys think marshmallow works with 5.1.1 modem files? I want to flash the modem from my stock version so I can get LTE working as it should.

For T-Mobile, just remember folks, Band 12 only helps if you are in an area with poor LTE reception. If you live in an area with strong Band 4 LTE, you will never see it connect to Band 12. I am in NYC and mine never connect to Band 12 since Band 4 LTE is pretty strong in tri-state area.

Okay, let's go through this again. What do you need it for? A 2100mhz baseband won't do you any good unless you adjust gains and even then you risk making your unit work harder.

Well, then your backup won't do you any good. You're using an NA baseband.
If you're sure you have an EU unit, you can try flashing an EU backup but you'd be better off flashing one of the newer firmwares I linked in the EnSec thread (specifically the EnSec-EU-0706 for non-May units).
It will change your baseband to an EU, but won't guarantee you a 3G connection. If you have a 1900MHz antenna nothing you do will make it magically connect.
Where can i download a EU Backup? With the original Rom the 3g has worked

Look, let me be frank with you. You're not really giving me any information to go by here. What original ROM? What did you do that made it not work?
Please, stop talking in single-line sentences asking for software you're not even sure is going to fix your problem.
Kuronosan, he don't speak English so good, but I think he is saying he had one of the many 2100 releases with the 2100 antenna, but somehow flashed something that had the 1900 radio in it and now he can't get 2100 reception any more.
Yes, maybe he got a misdirected 1900 unit, with that antenna (what's the difference ? those were clipped a little bit shorter ?), in which case he would have never had any data connection, other than WiFi, but in that case he is Screwed By Omate (tm) and good luck to him.
Ah, then I have a solution for that.

No. Your baseband is most definitely for 2100MHz. The 1900MHz modem is dated in November.
The question is what Antenna you have, and unfortunately I cannot answer that question for you. I do know that when I had my 1900MHz unit tethered to T-Mobile I had absolutely zero issues with signal indoors.
I don't really have a solution for you outside of trying another SIM or carrier. Other than taking it to someone who has a 1900MHz SIM carrier there's no way to test the difference.

Hi Kuronosan,
I have actually the same issue but in reverse as discussed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/omate-truesmart/help/loki-flashable-baseband-zips-available-t2818169
Loki said you might have the US baseband in a TWRP flashable zip? I have a US 1/8/1900 and I flashed another rom that was originally EU based. It works, but it changed my baseband to EU. I can make calls but my data is stuck on EDGE speed. I restored my NVRAM from my previous backup, but my baseband still shows that its EU (MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V4, 2013/08/14)
Would you happen to have the US baseband .zip?

Network Problem on 4G when using RJIO SIM in India

Hi,
I am experiencing network problem if i use any firmware based on CM. The issue is I get less network and something phone doesnt show any network at all. If I use H2OS or OOS I get proper signals with good speed. I have two ONYX and both have same problems.
I feel the issue could be disabling of a particular band which is used by RJIO in India. Do any body also have this issue? Please post your answers with suitable resolutions if any.

If I'm right, you can use Jio Sims only on Lyf handsets, no ?

Try restoring OOS EFS on the ROM you use. If you don't have OOS EFS Backup, Take Nandroid backup of your current Rom to your memory card. Then clean flash OxygenOS and take its EFS backup. Now restore your Rom and then restore Oxygen's EFS over it.

You cannot buddy. Jio requires VoLTE (voiceover lte) or as they are calling it "True 4G", our phone just supports LTE, so there is no issue with your software, It's the hardware that is incompatible.

Hi, No its not like that. When we talk about LTE, we mean data so any phone in the world supporting the LTE will be able to use the data from the network if phone uses the same band. Now when we talk about VOLTE, its hardware specific and your phone should be able to make VOICE calls using LTE. Its generally a hardware which make enable your phone to send SIP messages using the builtin dialler and then DSP's for the HD voice. But again if your dont have VOLTE supported on your phone you can download dialer application from the vendor ( If they have) and use them to make voice call. The quality may not be as good as builtin hardware but it should be manageable.

I flashed the Verizon one. The reason I asked my previous question is because Volte/WiFi Calling is important to me because I get LTE signal just fine in my area but no 3G/HSPA so I rely on those two for phone calls at home. Volte and WiFi calling are working good. Thanks for the upload.
Since this is the stock ROM would dirty flashing as a update work okay?

EDIT 2: Successfully flashed. You the man! Been waiting to get this VOLTE fix. Big thanks :good:

US model 4gb. Bought it from amazon, non amazon version obviously since I flashed this. I used the VZW build since I'm on Verizon.

H930DS and TMobile(mintsim)

I just got this model of V30+ but didn't know TMobile LTE would not work on it until after I paid. Just didn't read it good enough I guess.
Just wondering if I will still be able to get 4G Data on the phone using TMobile(mintsim) or at least HSPA+ or if its possible to make LTE work on it.
If you flash that to H930G, you'll get s few more U.S. carrier LTE bands. Not all but more.

shows 2 bands supported for LTE on TMobile and MetroPCS. Any chance it could work?

If you flash that to H930G, you'll get s few more U.S. carrier LTE bands. Not all but more.

Is this something that has been tested and working?
Yes, but let me find the post when I get home. Unless someone else finds it before me. It was someone who bought Hong Kong H930DS raspberry color and they wanted more US bands.

I haven't got then phone, it's for my friend in the US, she really wants the Raspberry Rose variant, and on Hong Kong firmware only 1/4 4G bands are supported, however if flashing the European firmware means she gets 3/4 bands that's a lot better and I can tell her she'll be okay to get it

Found the answer to this incase anyone ever needs the answer, flashing this firmware onto a H930DS also includes radio.img apparently, which means it will support the same bands that the H930 does :highfive:

Should this be the case I would be so happy! No more having to sell the phone even though I am very happy with it. In the course of the week I will flash the new version and as of 1st May I could give you some first hand experience in the US with an AT&T SIM (currently still in Germany).

So, @TheInfiniteAndroid says yes, and @HeartFist says he'll confirm May 1 -- which is tomorrow.
Thanks. I don't see the thread can you possibly link it please?
Just to be sure the dual SIM capabilities will still function correctly?

If you click on ANY of those posts it will take you to the thread. It's the EU OREO KDZ thread.

I thought you wanted T-mobile USA. Why do you need dual SIM? But you can go to that thread and search for H930DS. LOTS of people flashed that to get Oreo.

here's the same question in that thread:

Question: does it seem to handle dual SIM ok? Can you choose between the two simcards when making calls and sending messages?

Yes just as before. Not much has changed really. I'm in Norway, so having an EU /global ROM makes more sense to me!

Yea I have 2 Sims. Just got the mintsim prepaid for a year witch uses T-Mobile that I was going to use with my essential but that had a fried board in it I think. Artifacting and crashing constantly. Now I just plan to use both Sims in the dual SIM phone for some extra monthly data since I already have both prepaid service Sims.
So if I were to attempt to flash the euro Rom on my hk v30 would it just be a normal flashing process? Require boot loader unlocking? Is there any detailed outline of the process posted up?
alright thanks the information I read through a good deal of the thread at least to where they claimed it was adding support for more us bands.
One other question. After flashing this will I then still be able to receive ota updates and will it be safe to install them?
It's. A brand new phone I just don't want to take any unnecessary risks. But also of course want to be able to get full service. Don't want to have to sell it off to get another one or anything.
Thanks again.
You do not have to worry about Root or Bootloader unlock when flashing the EU-Oreo, it should be safe. I have my doubts with 4G on T-Mobile's bands though, read this thread first: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/lg-v30-unlocked-h930ds-doesnt-t-mobile-t3734810
One should note though that all comments were made prior to the possibility of flashing the EU-Oreo. I cannot test it with a T-Mobile SIM anymore (last post in this thread is from me) but my AT&T SIM gives me more 4G bands than it used to.
Ok I'm still waiting to receive the phone to test it myself. Obviously going to check it out stock first. According to the frequency check site it supports 2/5 bands for T-Mobile and metropcs. But doesn't support the protocol supposedly. I guess I'll see. I have both at&-t and T-Mobile Sims to test.

The frequency check site has been wrong before. I am not talking specifically about this situation. I've not investigated the H930DS and T-mobile, but in another thread about another V30 it was like they didn't even know the LTE bands AT&T currently uses. Seemed outdated information like, 4 years out of date.
Ok i got the phone today and only getting edge connection.
The phone i received is the india version h930ds. Will this make any difference when flashing the eu oreo firmware?
Also for flashing i am assuming i just need to download the eu open market firmware put the phone into download mode and load lgup via uppercut?
One other question does it matter if my phone is fully updated or not with the current india firmware?
Thanks.
Going to take me several hours to download on my internet connection so just waiting on it to finish now and trying to get as much information as possible in the meantime.

No, it doesn't matter which DS variant you are flashing from.
No, you don't need current India firmware since you'll be switching to Europe KDZ.
See the Euro KDZ thread for instructions.
Im sorry i don't see any flashing instructions. Just an outline of different methods such as uppercut or using model specific files or development lgup. Dont mean to be a pain just want to verify im doing everything right before i try. I did something like this on my g6 as well and the procedure was.
Put the into download mode
Launch lgup using uppercut
Select the kdz to flash
Not sure on this whether to set it to upgrade or refurbish? I think refurbish just wipes all user data like a factory reset?
Thanks.

Most people used upgrade. Try that first.
You can always reflash with refurbish if you don't like the result.

Ok thanks for the information. Its a brand new phone so i don't want to take the chance of doing something wrong but at the same time i have 12months of prepaid 4g LTE service that i would like to fully utilize.
Yeah ok. Finally finished and flashed this morning. Made absolutely no difference and actually broke dual sim support for me.
Do i have any other options?
