Xbox 360 Controller w/ wireless receiver for windows - Nexus Player Accessories

Just plugged in my "xbox wireless receiver for windows" and bam! Xbox 360 controller connected right up and works..... seems like the R2+L2 axis is swapped with the Right Stick axis, but I found it interesting that the receiver just popped right on. Maybe one of the devs could remap? Doesn't show up in attached accessories. Note: This is the original white OEM receiver for the 360... Unsure about the black receiver for 360 or the new one for the Xbox one...

[Q] Xbox controller?

Ive upgraded sucessfully to 3.1 and thuoght that xbox 360 controllers are ment to work. not managed so far - does any one know how to get them to work ive tried wired and wireless ones.
i take it no one has then?
Its strange seeing as there are some reviews coming out with the xoom on 3.1 getting to use xbox 360 contollers.
Do you have the dock? I've seen reports of people not having luck getting it to work that upgraded to 3.1 but no mention if they are using the dock or the female to female usb adapter method that is floating around.
Also the update that is floating around is not the OTA one so it may not be complete.
yeah i do have the dock... hope the ota update has the drivers for xbox controllers. would be awesome!
After updating to 3.1 I tried plugging in my usb gamepad to the dock, and loaded up Snes9x. Tried remapping the keys to the gamepad and it would say the keys were mapped to "none" no matter what button I pushed on the controller. The TF definitely knew that there was a gamepad plugged in, but it seemed like it didn't know how to map it correctly. So I tried playing Cordy like they did when they showed off 3.1, and all the buttons on the gamepad would make me run and jump to the right. So from what I can tell, it does register that there is a usb device plugged in and working, but it just won't map the buttons correctly . I don't have a wired 360 controller to try out, but I tried plugging in my PlayStation 2 controller with a usb adapter, and the TF wouldn't even register any of the button presses.
I tried a ps3 compatible pad this morning with n64oid and it worked once I mapped the controls. Didn't have time to really test thoroughly but seems to work on the leaked 3.1. This tweet from asusuk seems to confirm it for the official 3.1
@AsusUK Eee Pad Transformer with Android 3.1 supports XBOX 360 & Playstation controllers. UK FOTA Wed am.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Tested it on ps3 controllers, worked fine.
xbox 360 didn't work for me
How are these being hooked up through dock or some other means
Sent from my captivate BLAZING on firefly 3.0
Is this only possible for people who have the dock? Does it have to be via cable??
Thanks guys!
Only docks.
I mean the tablet doesn't even have any USB ports.
Any way to pair it via Bluetooth, or maybe get it to connect through the asus propriety cable?
Doubt it. Xbox 360 controllers don't use blue tooth to connect to the console. The asus cable would have to be modified somehow an you would lose a cable most likely.
asus PR fail?
i got the OTA 3.1 update here in the US yesterday. when i plug my usb 360 controller into my dock, the ring of lights continuously blinks. the controller does not seem to register with cordy or with any emulators i've tried. i think the origional (mis)information that this would work came from the AsusUK twitter account.
can anyone in the UK confirm that this doesn't work for them?
After the 3.1 update i plugged in my old logitech pc controller and fired up snesnoid and everything works perfectly.
Unfortunately you are equating 'supported' with 'devs have created apps that now work' with said support. The gamepads will work as long as the apps have been updated to use the newer code.
All I've tried so far has been an old PS1 controller plugged in via a cheapo usb pc adapter and it worked flawlessly in fpse. Oddly enough it was even letting me control the home screens in android as well. Although the button mapping was all off for that trial.
then it seems logical that we call a controller 'supported' by android if it can switch homescreens. if an app is coded in such a way as to support the controller then we can call it 'supported' by that app and the controller becomes useful. i believe the generic key mapping features of most emulators are good enough and should work for the 360 controller, that is if the OS can recognize it. i'd wager that if a USB controller can not switch homescreens then it will be impossible for an app to make use of it.
both google and asus advertise that the 360 controller should work on the transformer after the 3.1 upgrade. mine can not switch home screens or do anything else at all besides annoyingly blink its lights.
i think my 360 controller not working is a bug and that makes me sad.
i would very much like to be proved wrong here.
I'm using a USB female to female adapter w/ this and it will not work for the life of me. Maybe the adapter is bad but it will not connect to this for nothing.
Note: Using XBOX360 Controller
has anyone tried connecting it trough a usb hub?
I got XBox 360 controller with USB which work fine on PC but doesn't work with my Transformer under Android 3.1
It seems Google forgot the XBox 360 drivers :s
Nobody on this thread manage to got the XBox 360 working ?

Can you look at the back of your controller and tell me the model? I've got a emulator list with controllers that are working I would like to add it to. Check the DIY link in my signature.

can you use a wireless 360 controller?

If i have the prime usb adapter and the xbox 360 pc wireless receiver could i use a 360 controller?
Ive had no Dice getting it to work. Tried a 360 wired pad and it didnt work either. There is an app on the store that in theory should work with XBOX pads.

I have the USB keyboard dock and have been able to use a Saitek P990 wired USB controller as well as my wireless Microsoft 360 controller with the PC/USB wireless receiver. Works great for me.

Nope. Just plugged the USB PC wireless receiver into the dock, hit the button on it to start the receiver sync; too my controller and hit the sync button; and they were synced. One thing to know though is that unlike the regular 360 or PC, the little 360 logo on the controller will always be flashing in a circle as if it's trying to sync, even though it's synced up.
In other words, it won't lock onto a particular player 1-4, but just keep spinning around forever, that's just the way it is.
According to the Nvidia rep at CES, the prime comes preloaded with the major USB controller drivers, including the 360 USB wired controller. I saw it being used with my own 2 eyes.

Shadowgun and GTA3 are so much easier to play with the Xbox 360 controller
Mine wont work...
I have tried to use my 360 wireless controller with wired PC dongle and a 360 wired control in the USB port of the dock and the wireless dongle lights up then i sync the control and the light goes off and the control wont map. The wired one doesn't even turn on (flickers on then off .2 sec) when plugged in. Am I missing something do I have a defective doc? I have done this before with my WII-mote that works find but I much prefer the 360 control. I also happen to have a ps3 control and that also doesn't work with the USB cable and the six-axises app. App says its compatible with the Transformer Prime but it always just asks me to pug the USB in. Any ideas? Does the Dock need a certain amount of charge does it have to be plugged into the wall to have enough power?
I actually hated using my 360 controller with GTA III. I was looking forward to it, is there a magic controller config kicking around somewhere, or am I destined to only looking around whilst standing still?

[Q] CM 10.1 Xbox 360 Controller Support

Hi all,
I noticed that with the most current nightly the CM team released it shows enabled support for Xbox 360 wireless controller. Can someone clarify and maybe show how to get this going. Did a quick search through my phone but didn't see anything. Any help would be great!! Thanks! :good:
Anyone??
Does anyone know anything?? I feel like I broke into this thing as much as I could and I got nothing!! Am I the only one with an XBOX LOL
I can't confirm this but here's what you would likely need to use the Wireless Xbox 360 controller on Android:
- Samsung USB OTG adapter
- Microsoft Wireless USB received for the Xbox 360 Controller
- A wireless controller (duh)
Plug it all in and it should work. For a simpler hookup, simply take your USB OTG cable, plug it in and get a wired Xbox 360 controller. Done and done.
For an even better experience use a Dualshock 3 controller 10 times more quality than the shoddy Xbox one. Funniest part is, I don't even own a PS3. I only have an Xbox 360 which I haven't used in years, and once I got my DS3 controller for my PC/Android phones I've never picked up my 360 controller again. It's just garbage in comparison. Everything about the DS3 controller just feels like quality compared to the Xbox one. Not to mention it's full black and sleeker = sexier

How to connect your I have a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and OTG cable. After connec

I have a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and OTG cable.
After connecting the controller does not work
Me nothing worked
I tried it: USB/BT Joy Center and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531
Help pls:crying:
It won't work cos a wireless x360 controller doesn't work via USB. It has to be paired with an xbox 360 wireless receiver. You're better off using a wired controller or a ps3 or ps4 pad. However. If both the wireless controller and the wireless pad are paired together eg on a PC, connecting the receiver via otg to your phone and turning on the wireless pad would work on your phone. You can make your own wireless receiver from a scrap Xbox 360 if you don't wanna buy. Google around for instructions. It's what I use on my phone. I'd still suggest you stick to ps3/4 controllers
I have a xbox 360 wireless receiver.
Xbox 360 wireless receiver runs on my computer and Samsung Galaxy S6.
But he does not work on my Redmi note 2.

Same with me, the Xbox wireless controller doesn't work. I got a Logitech F710 for my PC and it works everywhere, phone, PC, ps3, etc.
This problem can be solved... but no one want to solve that.

Xbox controllers don't get initialized on Mate 10 Lite

I've tried connecting a wired X-Plorer, a wireless Les Paul with an unofficial wireless dongle, and an Xbox One controller (tried wired and wireless with the official dongle) to my phone with 2 different USB OTG cables, one cheap one off ebay, and one that came with the Samsung Galaxy S7 I think.
For the wired controllers, the green circle just keeps blinking, never getting a player number, and for the dongles, the 360 one just keeps blinking its green light, and the xbox one dongle doesn't light up at all.
I've tried copying the default controller keymaps and renaming them to the correct vendor id and product id, with no luck.
I'm pretty sure I've used at least the xbox one controller on this phone before, so I have no idea why it won't work now.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Seems like Java throws an error when inserting an xbox controller, invalid number for field product-id, 03ea. It's trying to invoke parseInt on that id, so that obviously won't work.
