Hello guys, i would like to present you my work, Android Joy. Freshly prepared from stock image, the ROM aims to provide full stock experience along with buttery smooth UI and great battery life. The best thing about this ROM is that you have the choice to customize your own build using Aroma installer. The ROM is very stable and can be used as a daily driver.
There are 3 options Android Joy, Veneno and Veneno for cm13. Choose the one you like.
Each system is filled with respective applications.
The main objective behind the Aroma version is to provide you guys a rock solid stable build with the stock Android experience with a lot of options for customization. Make your own build using the options. Keep it very minimal or keep all the bloatware, choice is yours.
The Veneno CM13 flashable version adds Sense apps to the latest CM13 nightly. So grab the latest nightly and flash the zip with it.
Veneno runs on stock Android. Choose whatever suits you the best.

Nope.

like the idea with the aroma installer, but those navbar buttons...(Layers to the rescue!)
Op says its rooted, but solid explorer and check root disagree with that statement

Yeah there are issues with SuperSu. People have complained that some apps don't recognize it. I think the latest update resolves the problem. It will be added in the next build.
Uh, I actually like those navbar buttons a lot. I'll add them using a overlay in the next build so that if anyone doesn't like them, they can remove it.

Flashed latest supersu 2.64, works great sofar, as for the navbar buttons, excellent idea!

New update guys. I added ES File Explorer, Viper4Android FX, Root Browser and AOSP Calendar widget. Along with it added latest SuperSU. And yeah if you don't like those icons, delete Navbar_Icons.apk from /system/vendor/overlay folder. And for some unknown reasons the SuperSU app doesn't show up in the app drawer, so kindly flash the latest SuperSu. Rest everything works properly and smoooooothly.

Thanks buddy. Im thinking of making a debloated version with Aroma installer for the same apps as above.

Congratulations on the rom .. ..but I preferred the veneno .... Why it was abandoned?

Well, since a lot of AOSP ROMs were launched, very few users were using it. And there were complains of no mods in the ROM. So I stopped the development. I thought of making a small community on G+ and to continue my work there, but since the thread is closed, I can't post any news. So it just stopped.

Another version
Anyone would like to try out a debloated version of my ROM? The screenshots are attached below. It consists of only core apps which are useful for daily use. I'm using cm12.1 launcher along with some cm13 apps like browser, audio fx, music, screencast and sound recorder. Other than that it uses CM12S gallery and Motorola camera. Dialer and contacts are stock. That's not everything, it uses CM wallpapers too. Very minimal and useful. It performs well.

Quick question - is the debloated version also based on the latest stock factory image MMB29K? I assume it is but wanted to be sure. Also, does either ROM include the latest radio or should that be flashed separately? I'm looking for a new stock ROM that is minimal (coming from a different 6.0 ROM) and interested in trying out your latest versions. Thanks for the hard work!

Yes, both are on the latest versions of Android. And no it doesn't include the radio. You'll have to flash it separately first. If you get any troubles finding a flashable zip, let me know.

I'll definitely try that gave the text all the rom .. but then again a rom similar to stock there are many both based CM that on AOSP. Debloated there is builds of @tupac4u and @EatBeans for example, already proven but nothing impressive !! I rather liked the idea of Veneno ROM with Sense and Viper Audio that countersigned. He was maybe only lightened a little.

Hi, I have switched into this rom and I like it much. Runs pretty smooth and no bloatware, I guess I'll keep it for a long time. But I've got a question for stock version. I've realized viper4 is not working, I guess I must set selinux into permissive, am I right?
thank you

I know man. See the Aroma one is only once in a time release. It's something what I always wanted for myself as a user, that I should be the one who chooses the bloat ware and some other mods. The CM type is just a simple build I actually made for myself and I shared it. If people want to use it, they can. Like I said it's your choice to use whichever one you wanna use. Other ROMs don't work well because people are more of addicted to one only. With the likes of Chroma, Xtrasmooth, Cataclysm, Pure white, etc. I don't think people prefer anything else. Not that I say it's wrong or something like that but then as a developer when your ROM doesn't get that much downloads, you just start feeling it's not good enough and stuff and you just stop it. That's what happened with Veneno. I felt I'm only developing for a bunch of people. And people used to PM me and say thanks instead of actually pressing it on the OP. That's lack of support man. And that's why I'm just down to these ones cause on this I really don't expect a huge response provided a lot of similar ROMs are available.

Yes. The only problem with the stock ROM I think is SuperSU which I'll fix in the next release. And I'll add more options for you guys to choose from.

I have also tested, for a couple of minutes only 'cause I had to leave, and I wanted to check Motorola camera, but I saw I got fc when sliding to the left for gallery. Maybe the rom was still not ready after booting for the first time. Does it happen to only me.
PD: I switched back to Aroma rom anyway, just curious.

Yeah even I noticed it. I think it's because I'm using the CM12S gallery. It works properly with the Motorola Gallery. So I'll remove that and add moto gallery. And there's an fc with music app when choosing the queue also. I wanted to ask you guys if you like Music more or you guys would like Apollo more?

[ROM][ICS/JB][4.0.4/4.1.1][8/9] CyanogenMod 9/10 lite v2/v7

Hello everyone.
This is my first ROM here, I'm not a fan of "big customized ROMs", so I'm posting my own CM9 build here.
As the title name suggests, it's a lite version of the CM9. The full CM9 has ~130MB [without Google Apps], and my lite version has only ~100MB [with Google Apps].
Now, I'm posting my own CM10 build here too. It isn't too lite as CM9, but full CM10 [144MB] + Google Apps [85MB] is bigger then CM9, so the minimum I got was 118MB, making it similar with my CM9 lite.
My main goal here is to provide something simple and clean. Hope you like...
Some of the features [CM10 and CM9]
Click to collapse
Not even a little bloated [even update-script was cleanned]
Siyah kernel [gokhanmoral]
ThunderBolt! scripts deactivated + screenstate scaling modified activated [pikachu01]
Trebuchet launcher
Gallery app from CM9 zip [not the one from Google Apps][only CM9]
New boot animation [thanks to someone I don't remember who is]
Stock appearence [nothing visual changed]
No CWM manager. Siyah installs it automatically, so I disabled it
Some small build.prop tweaks
Lots of apks removed. Email, Voice Dialer, Google Search, Browser, and more
Google Apps also cleaned. Removed some stuff like some libs, Talk, Search, Voice Search, and more
Seems fast and economic enough to me. If you do not like Siyah, I provided a zip to restore to "stock kernel-defaults"
Undervolt init.d script inside, if you want to undervolt by script and not by apps
Separated zip with Google Search + Voice Search included [only CM10]
Multi-DPI support [only CM10, for now]
218dpi [only CM10, for now]
LQB RIL, which suck less. Better compatibility using LQ6 modem [only CM10, for now]
*Maybe other stuff you may only find out after installing [in other words, I may not remember]
Some tips for you
Click to collapse
ThunderBolt! scripts are disabled by default. Please, read it's original thread, and then copy the scripts you want from /system/etc/scripts to /system/etc/init.d. [you may want to use main script {S97system_tweak}, it's awesome. Please note it sets i/o scheduler to sio automatically.
Gallery from Google Apps isn't good. I'm using the one from the CM9 zip {Gallery2.apk}. It's pretty good, runs faster, it's cleaner, made my Media server battery % go down a little bit... [only CM9]
You may want to use AdAway to block ads. I didn't put that because it gets updated very easy. But it's usually the first app I install after I install the ROM.
If you don't like Siyah and want to go to another kernel, please flash the "default kernel zip". I optimized the ROM to don't install busybox, as Siyah already installs, and also, blocked CWM manager install. "default kernel zip" will delete my Siyah optimizations by cleaning old files, installing busybox and flashing stock CM9/CM10 kernel.
If you want CWM manager, delete /system/.siyah n' reboot.
You won't find any browser after installing. It's because I'm using Chrome, so I don't need stock browser. I recommend Chrome very much, but just make sure you disable Tilt Scrolling, to don't get the damn wakelock which will absolutely drain all your battery.
I included a undervolt script {/system/etc/scripts/S92CPU_Voltages}. PLEASE, before copying to init.d, edit with YOUR undervolt set. Those are mine, and I'm using only 5 steps on Siyah. Make sure you adapt it to you.
Don't flash Google Apps. Everything you need at one zip.
Some good Siyah settings for ExTweaks: ondemand, sio, 5 cpu steps, logger disabled, choose any vibration level [i use 3]. Please, don't limit the performance a lot, leave everything else stock except undervoltage [if you know what you are doing]. Don't care a lot about battery, always prefer performance [smooth performance at some point, where you get no lags]
Don't care about battery. Use and abuse your phone. If your battery isn't going further than 2 days, just plug your charger at day one. This ROM may be economic for you. What I do: if the battery can last at least from morning to evening, it's good enough to me. Then, I plug to the charger and sleep. Much better than looking at battery % all the time.
Screenstate scaling scales your CPU depending on your screen state. Screen-on: ondemand/1,2GHz max-200MHz min. Screen-off: ondemand/500MHz max-200MHz min. This may save a lot/some juice.

Since you speak portuguese too, it's "Rolar ao inclinar" in the "Ferram. para desenvolvedores". Just disable it and done. If you don't, you will get the suspend_backoff wakelock, which can drain from 100% to 0% in some hours, even with screen off.

No, just need to copy. But the remounti9100 needs to be activated on Script Manager(as root and boot). I think Siyah already include many parts of ThunderBolt, but I'll take a look.

You can't. Those are apks from a Samsung ROM, so CM9 is incompatible. If you want another dialer, you may try exDialer. I tested it sometime ago and it doesn't seems bad.
Downloading... gonna try it in a bit
I have one "tips" tho: IMHO one of the best way to make a LITE rom is to include everything (for everything I mean CM9 + gapps things ) and let the user decide on what he/she want's with the aroma installer!
Well, download almost finished gonna try it as a second ROM on siyah kernel, or i will get problem if i install this as second ROM?
Thanks and keep up the good work

the problem with aroma is that u will have to provide everything in one package. the goal here is i think to keep filesize as small as possible. i like the idea about a lite stable cm9 version. every addon can be found here on the forum or in the play store so no need to include them. its a good base to build on. thx marcello!

Yeah, i know that! I think the goals are 2:
1) Provide a lite stable rom
2) Reduce the package file
Maybe he can create 2 separate files: with and without aroma, this way he can bring the user experience even further obviously this is my "idea" and only giving a different point of view
Actually I'm on test, no problem atm
How about a Lite CM10?

I did this to myself (the one I'm using is adapted a little for me, a bit optimized for Brazil and some other system apks), something small, that I can leave on my phone without killing too much space. And include everything with aroma I would have to change the name from Lite to Full But anyway, if I have time, I could make it with aroma, but not with everything, just with the stuff people usually uses.
But mainly, I want to provide small file sizes and fast downloads. [100MB and download at mediafire {the best, full speed, no ridiculous waitings}]
Thanks, btw

Actually, I'm using CM10 right now, maybe I only need to make some tiny changes on the ZIP that I'm using to upload it here. I could use some feature requests, so everyone, even me, wins
Hi all, this ROM is amazing, so fast, smooth and superb battery life.
Question: if I update syiah kernel in the future, the optmizing for cm9 lite + syiah 4.1 beta 6, will be lost?

No. Explaining better those optimizations:
1. removed busybox. Siyah already have busybox.
2. Blocked CWM manager install. I don't like it, and is much easy to go recovery from power dialog
pretty much that. So I don't see any problem in upgrading Siyah, or even changing to another kernel. The default kernel zip is only to users who likes the stock cm kernel / the kernel they are installing doesn't have busybox / clean up old siyah files. Oh, i'm going to make it also hide siyah's boot logo. Next version, maybe.
Working on CM10. In a few hours (maybe 1h, depending on my upload rate ["1mpbs on paper", but not very true]) I'll put it here. Is someone interested on the Google Voice Search? Just in case I'll put in a separatly zip later (first, CM10), because it costs like 30MB, and I want to get in the double digits (<100MB). If anyone knows some tweaks on 7z rather then "ultra" it would be very useful.
edit: no more double digits... full CM10 is 144MB and Google Apps is 85MB. The minimum size I got was 118MB.
updated thread with CM10... hope you guys like it. Please, some feedbacks, if anyone installs it

Prerequisites
- Unlock Bootloader and Root
- CWM Based Recovery (Jokers v3 recommended, will not work with v4)
1) Download the ROM here
2) Flash the ROM zip within CWM, reboot (Select full wipe if coming from another rom)
3) If you are a GSM user having connectivity problems, flash this fix
4) Reboot to recovery, wipe cache, dalvik, and fix permissions
5) Go to Settings > Themes > Select Blue Infinitum
6) Go into launcher 7 settings and change the tile color to #FF47C3FF
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(!) - I am working on automating steps 5 and 6. Hopefully they wont be required in the future
(!!) - Consider purchasing Launcher 7 Donate version for more features and updates. Downloading the icons below in the Addon section will be required as I cannot modify and distribute the paid version of an app.

Looks great! I'm about to try. Thank you!
Thanks you guys! Let me know if you find any problems. Ill see what I can do to fix them. Also make sure you follow the install directions all the way through. In the future post-install user edits wont be required. I just need to work out some kinks first and im learning as I go. =)
Nice! This is definitely different (ICS with Google Now). Just curious, how essential is Launcher 7? I'm guessing not at all, but I'm curious. I'm enjoying CM7 currently, but this is highly tempting.

Noo it's not required at all. But consider trying it out you might like it! :good:
Also, in case any of you are wondering why the base isn't JellyBean... I had been using JB ever since release and went back to ICS one day and had completely forgotten how smooth and easy on the battery it is. I figured as long as i could get some of the main features of JB (Google Now) working it might be worth it to revert back to ICS until our JB matures a bit more and/or we get those missing components from Moto.

what's modded in the launcher 7..? I had already bought the launcher 7 donate for an older phone. If I install it, will i have to extract the apk and modify it?

As of right now the only thing modded are the default 1x1 and 1x2 icons used for tiles, but this will change shortly. You can achieve the same result with the paid version of launcher7 by downloading the icon pack i linked to in the Addons section of the op. The only irritating part about this is you will need to use a program like Quickpic and set its background color to white to actually 'see' what you are selecting when changing a tiles icon due to them being black.
I have to host the rom elsewhere, my links went down. Hmm not sure where would be good though.. Sorry for the inconvenience to those wanting to try the ROM. I'll be reuploading later today and may have a ROM update too if all goes well.
Double post woops.

Nope, not wondering at all! Your reasoning makes a lot of sense.
And I don't need to consider trying Launcher 7; I have in the past. I do like it, but it's not for me. Launcher 7, and WP7 in general, I feel, is not very app-centric at all. It's for people who use their phone for phone stuff and have maybe a couple apps. I have 51 apps installed (in Google Play) and I use probably a dozen at least weekly (if not more). I feel like L7/WP7 are more minimalist than I need. But I do like the idea. I actually like a semi-minimalist appearance on my phone; apps are grouped in folders, and aligned to the bottom of the screen, with widgets at the top. But I have access to a lot of apps in a short distance from any given point. That said, I do like seeing you base the presentation of your ROM around a launcher that doesn't resemble AOSP. It's a fairly unique approach. And that's the mentality I like to see in devs. It's thinking outside the box, as it were.
Links are back up. Will be updating the ROM soon.
::UPDATE::
Version 1.1 is released.

You flashed version 1.1? Within the aroma installer did you choose to do a full wipe? Did you choose gsm or cdma? Did it appear to install correctly or hang at a specific part? What recovery version are you running? I use joker v3, haven't tested it with anything else. Did the dual core screen begin to make little waves as if trying to boot? I'll see if I can get you sorted out.
:EDIT:
Thinking it was a bad upload I downloaded the rom and flashed. Within aroma I selected full wipe, cdma, and installed it. Booted up just fine for me.

I've been thinking of ditching the aroma installer too actually. I will make the next version without aroma. Again though, can you give me any more details? Does the aroma installer actually go all the way through and seem to install fine? What options did you pick? What recovery youre using?

F.A.Q / Information to Remember
IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH SUPERUSER/ROOT OR LMT ON RLS7 READ THIS POST
Q: Should I wipe before flashing this update?
A: You should always wipe between rom updates. No wipe, No gripes!
Q: Rom is not booting on me?
You need to Upgrade to Safestrap 3.11 You also need to delete slot / recreate rom slot . wipe/factory reset twice , wipe cache dalvik . reinstall , wipe dalvik and cache and reboot.
Q:I'm getting a strange text from verizon- VZMNM
A: You need to go into your verizon account online and disable the backup assistant feature. Then these texts will stop!
Q: Wifi Connectivity Problems?
A: Make sure Wifi is set to always keep wifi on during sleep under wifi settings/advanced
Q: My wifi is slow to connect, why could this be?
A: I changed the wifi scan interval in order to save battery, you can change it back yourself by using a build prop editor and looking for wifi.supplicant.scan.interval. The default value is 90.
Q: I'm getting a black screen and my phone is unresponsive?
A: Make sure your phone governor is not set to hotplugx, it does not work correctly, use a different governor
Q: Do i need to flash Svoice and Acid Audio in RLS4?
A: As of Jellywiz RLS4 these are included in the rom!
Q: Wifi tethering isn't working for me?
A: Try this fix: For wifi tethering, download "Wifi tether for root users" from the play store. Open it and go into settings/change device-profile. Click on "Generic ICS/JB (wlan0), then back out. I also setup a SSID name and WPA password in settings.
Q: I'm having xyz problem?
A: For any general problems, first try a reboot along with a cache and dalvik cache wipe along with a read through the thread!!
For problems with apps try clearing app data along with a reboot and cache wipe
Q: I'm having problems with the Samsung Alarm Clock?
A: Make sure in Clock/Settings you check sound in vibration mode and sound in silent mode. If you are still having problems download another alarm from the play store!
Q: I'm having governor trouble/ Which do you recommend?
A: HotplugX governor is suspected to not work, so don't use it. I use and recommend pegasusq governor and sio scheduler.
Q: I don't have time to read through the thread, so i'm thinking about reasking a question thats already been asked!
A: If you cannot spend some of your time to fix YOUR phone, then i will not spend MY time addressing an issue that has already been addressed here or in the thread.
Something to Remember:
Developers don't earn a salary for the work that they do, we do this in our free time, so a little appreciation goes along way. Without developers, our phones would be really boring and we'd all be running stock. So just think of this before you post that comment complaining about known issues.
Enjoy your phones!

There's a CN JB leak too which means XT910 also has JB. So can this ROM be used on the CN JB kernel?
Can someone tell clearly whether this is supported on GSM RAzr or the cdma one and which kernel will it work best on??
Downloading now and going to give it a try. Thanks for the tasty treat!
Holy huge ROM. Downloading now, might give it a shot later.

EDIT: The super large text headers in this thread remind me of an 8th graders school project.

This rom is base on Verizon leak JB, so you should flash vzw kernel.
For GSM users, I've modified dtrails GSM patch with this rom, running flawlessly.
Just flash the patch after flashing the rom.

Thanks for the GSM patch, I'm still stuck on the CN rom because its call recording facility is a clincher.
2 minor issues...
I'm really, really liking this ROM. Thank you for the hard work put in by you and the other devs! Two things I've been battling so far. The version of Google Search won't update via the Play Store. Secondly, AdAway will not update the hosts files mentioning a space issue that I've not seen in the other JB ROMs. I've tried to clear datas and caches, uninstalled, tried restores from other Titanium BU ROMs. Still might be just me, but wanted you to at least know. Again, great work and thank you so much.

I've made some screenshots for you: http://drops.frontender.ch/bB6d/58nsASyn
The overall feeling of this ROM is great... it's smooth, fast and battery life seems to be very good.
What didn't/doesn't work for me is:
- Setting custom quick actions (in actionbar (like toggeling sound etc.))
- Using custom kernel from Aroma installer (but it's a kernel problem...I can't use any rom using the Phantom kernel)
- Launcher is restarted nearly every time it's opened
Beside that, I really like the ROM - especially the AROMA installer is very fine granular and you really only get what you want.
PS: If you could include Sony's Backup & Restore App that'd be great

No I've not enabled this mod as I found it not to work very well on the ROMs I used before...so I didn't.
About the performance...my "expectations" may just be low..because beside the PACMAN ROM I've not found any ROM smooth yet (compared to how things went on HD2, DHD, Meizu MX etc.) -- so I'm happy if a XGO ROM is more or less smooth

The Quick Settings don't seem to work on the XGO, I don't know why? Has someone got them working? I will remove them in the next update. I tried Lidroid Custom Toggles instead, but there are still some problems.
The Phantom Kernel works fine on my device. Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
Can you explain a bit more what happens with the launcher? I've never had problems with it.
I like the AROMA installer a lot, it's the main reason why I made this ROM. Because everyone likes other settings and apps, I thought a more customizable ROM than the currently available ones was needed.
Backup & Restore is already included as you can see in my screenshots, but currently it's not enabled by default.

I've installed this ROM as well, no lagging but there is no boot animation..after sony logo disappear just black screen with little blink dot in the middle..a little bit lagging in first boot after flashing this room

I don't know what happened with the boot animation. Personally, I like it better without it, but I will try to get it back. The first and second boot can take some time, but from then on it should be smooth.
I will upload the next version with some small fixes tomorrow. At the moment, the biggest change will be in the AROMA installer. It will save the selected options and automatically select them the next time, for easier updating. Suggestions for other enhancements are very welcome.
the best complete ROMs .. I think the lag comes from phantom kernel .. flash back Phantom kernel..the lag will be gone ..it worked for me..

One small bug I found was during the selection of the Kernel, although I choose Phantom performance but in the summary, it's written as Phantom powersaver.
You may want to include 'Seeder' as it really speed up the whole things after I installed it.
One more thing, I found the responsiveness of the screen is very low compared to the stock, if you can fix it then it would be awesome!

The intall log will show Phantom Performance in version 1.1. Thanks for noticing.
According to this article, Seeder has a lot of drawbacks. It seems to me a bad idea to include it, but if more people request so, I will reconsider it.
P.S.: I'm uploading version 1.1, it should be ready in an hour.

Thanks for the link. I was using a CrossBreeder as well in my XZ but in XGO, the entropy value is not increasing but with Seeders, it increased from 100 over to 4096. It is fine if you think it do more harm than good, for those who want to use it they will know where to get it.
You can consider to include JDWALKER's build.prop tweak as well.
Cheers.

I did not make performance tweaks yet.
Maybe I will do so,in future releases.
Edit: Now there is difference
This Rom is dope! Fits all my needs. The extended Power Menü with Reboot options would be great an a possibility to Show battery percentage on the top bar. But everything is working fine. Thank you!
I am actually planning to do this in future versions.
Is IT possible to build in the true silent Mode, like on Kk, without using xposed?!

It will be hard, cause this rom is a port.
To implement a future, you need to build from source.
In my case, I must deal with smali code, which is much more complicated than siple java.
BTW guys, new version is on the way. Deodexed! Which means more friendly with all kinds of modifications including xposed.
Thabk you! Ibtry xposed on your next build
Link is up!

You mean Sony stock or GPe stock?
If you have Sony, then it's completely different rom, based on newer android version, works faster, without memory leaks.
If you are on GPe, then, it's deodexed, cleaned from useless apps, with Sony framework.
It's good-looking like stock Sony rom, and fast like Google rom.

No different? Unless you are already on Gpe.. This is pure Google rom without Sony bloat.
