1. From opengapps.org select arm then 5.1 then select pico, mini or nano
In pico you will get only play store and play services
In mini, nano you will get apps like chrome, Google search, hangouts, etc.
BTW you can install other g-apps from play store so I suggest download pico version
2. You need to unmount data partition before flashing cm 12.1
It's safe.... Data partition get auto mounted when you restart your device
In twrp go to mount setting.... Just untick system, cache, data partition
3. You better flash v2.1 by @shubham9543 thread
4. For stock Micromax logo I will provide you the patch in the morning

Accordingly, to what you have suggested, i will re-try installing the ROM.
instead of stock Micromax logo can you please guide me how to remove the mi logo in boot, or either will work.

Hope only two bugs left so far
1. Camera cant be set to 16 M PX
2. Volume control doesn't work for FM.
if anybody work on these then this will be an amazing ROM.

I haven't seen any patch for 16 mp camera on a310/a311 forum.
FM volume control regarding issue has been solved by cm 12.1 original developer.
Porters are working on it.

There are the installers for the TWRP/Philz Installers (or recovery vee3). You just only install one recovery. It haves some mic redirection bug and no more else. And the steps for flashing its:
First: Wipe all the stuff (cache, data, system, dalvik cache)
Second: Flash the rom (i mean, the cm11...zip file)
Third: In case you have dual-sim, flash the another ones, first the Single2Dual, and after the VeeKernelDual.
Fourth: Flash gapps for 4.4.4
And enjoy c:

Finally, we are having CM11 at the normal level. We (andreya108 and myself) were working very hard on CM11 and this the outcome. This is the joint work by both of us so please thank andreya108. There are lot of unknown issues to be tested and fixed but the most disastrous bugs are not present anymore. E.g. uncontrolled processor, reboots, battery drain, unstable GPS etc. From here onwards, we can discuss the issues arisen from long-term use of firmware since before this nobody had used this for daily. We do not claim that this is the complete version hence please do not flood the thread. If you have an issue send a personal message. At this moment, it is only for CN layout. This is just a beginning……

There still little bugs but the most important ones are fixed.
Also if you experience battery drain, it is due to gapps. serach xda to disbale the waklock by google play services using privacy option

Hello,
S226 is ROW version ROM. This cm ROM is for CN layout. First You have to flash CN based ROM using flashtool after that only flash this ROM using twrp recovery.

Yes, main bugs are fixed.
Using this ROM. Great ROM.
Till now working as mentioned in your main post. Not found any major bugs.
Can be used daily if cyanogenmod is your priority.

Please backup ur IMEI number. Also note that once ur on CM version and u restore ur IMEI, u will have to follow a process to hard write the IMEI number back to ur phone. Else every time u do a factory reset, it will erase the IMEI

Hi @stympy, thank you for your help. I flashed CM11-B2 successfully yesterday and so far everything seems to be good. I do have one question, however. The MIUI ROM you linked me to apparently disables internal phone memory and moves everything to external SD. Can you please link me to a FlashTool flashable CN based ROM that doesn't do this? Thank you!

Be sure to do wipe data, system, cache. Then the error will not happen.

Has anyone had any problems installing this? My device gets stuck on the welcome screen every time, I've tried the 5.7.4 and the 5.7.3 versions, with and without gapps. I wipe the device, dalvik and cache, flash the rom, and after rebooting the welcome screen where you pick a language shows up. I select a language, press the next button, connect to my wifi, and then it goes back to the welcome screen again and nothing more happens. Am I missing something?

For a long time I had a 5.1.1 ROM on it (Temasek) and thought that it's just the hardware of the tablet which doesn't allow for more battery life and more standby time. I used the tablet mostly as a kitchen radio because, with Viper4Android, the speakers are very loud and clear, ideal for spoken broadcasts.
Now, with this ROM, this has changed. The device is indeed resurrected! Especially the standby time is great now! The additions like Live Display are also welcome.

Don't know if I understood you correctly. You flashed the gapps directly after flashing the ROM without letting it reboot, didn't you?
Think I had the same issue with this ROM on another device.
For being on the save side, I've wiped after flashing the ROM as well and then it worked.

If you are on other base rom, best practice is to factory reset prior to flash rom and new gapps.
After this steps if rom does not boot, probably you are encrypted, remove encryption and repeat the steps.
If after removing encryption rom still does not boot, make a factory reset again after flashing rom and gapps, then all will be fine.
Please be sure you are using one TWRP that can handle firmware flash
Advise to use latest official TWRP
Also be sure you are using proper firmware.
Relative to gapps, the advised ones is pico package since nano its now too big to install ( ARM):

Thats normal, the base it self its Los, the diference its on having 3 finger screenshot, microg nogapps support, nethunter support and mock locations apps the system report real GPS instead of mock app ( Pokemon will not ban for using mock location app ), support for face unlock its WIP ( no eta )

If the rom fail to flash its because you need to make that, but on OPO if you did not messed with the partitons before you will be probably just fine flashing and no need to resize. The issue is not really rom problem, the problem its when flashing gapps that will ask for more space, but that is most for bigger gapps packaging, it you use the nano or base package you will have no issues flashing. Sorry for late answer mate !

One or another should be fine, if use open gapps pick the small package and then install the rest trough Play Store !

I can confirm what amadeumagalhaes wrote above. Gapps pico won't install.
I've installed Magisk, got root and I tried deleting some system files to make more space but all apps I've used gave me the same message: uninstall failed. I used SD Maid, System app remover, My Android Tools.
Any ideas?
P.S.1 Instead of opengapps pico, I've flashed mindthegapps. No issues flashing it even if it's larger than opengapps pico. The issue with deleting system files remains unchanged.

A bunch of us had this same problem with @Tomoms ROM. He managed to fix this in recent releases.
I have no issues on whatsapp. On Tomoms ROM thread it says to restart the app until the overexposure is gone.

If you have still 1.0 you cannot use OTA since the system its down, to use OTA you need to update the Updater you have on 1.0, will drop on bottom a update apk of Updater if you are on 1.0 and prefer to use OTA, just install as regular app updating the system one. And then use the built OTA to update from 1.0 to 2.0, you can also check the change log after updating the updater, its too big to post here, it have all the changes commited to lineageos since my last build. If you are getting the error "A37 Required, This device is f1f" Then get twrp 3.3 from telegram group or just open rom zip go to "META-INF\com\google\android" and edit the updater-script file

The performance of this rom was not that good and since it's an extremely old phone you should consider upgrading.
Try Using LineageOS 17.1
Steps to install:
1.) Downgrade Your Oppo A37 Using A PC (Join Telegram Group For More Info)
2.) Root it using Kingo Root (King Root Should work but it didn't in my case so try either of them)
3.) Download Flashify from here.
3.) Download TWRP Image File(Preferably The one in Telegram Since it's a newer version)
4.) Flash it using Flashify to recovery (grant root access and all other permissions)
5.) Download ROM zip.
6.) Reboot to Recovery
7.) Go to Wipe and Wipe System,Cache,Dalvikand Data. DO NOT wipe internal storage since this is where our rom is downloaded
8.) Go to install and install the rom
9.) Reboot the device and done
For root
Download magisk and flash it without wiping anything after you booted into the custom rom

hey bro , I can inderstand your situation , you wanted to root this poor old device to get some good performance but belive me bro i did this same with my device with same intentions But the result is not so good the device is still laggy , Video recording not working, Gps also not working that time i had spent almost 2 day to root and fix the things I suggest to Stay with stock rom otherwise the choise is yours
