Fake/counterfeit or authentic charger - Xperia Z3 Accessories

I'm in the process of trying to find out if the ac wall charger i bought is authentic or a fake/counterfeit. I bought it from a well rated 3rd party seller on Amazon.
As you can see in the picture i provided, my original charger is the one on top, the bottom one looks obviously different. The sony logo is much bolder, missing some icons, icons are arranged in a different order, some of them look different, and lastly the input on the one i bought is AC ~250 mA 50-60Hz while my original is AC~300. Those are my reasons for doubting its authenticity. I've contacted sony's email chat support but they referred me to a sony mobile store because they cannot view pictures sent from customers.
What I am asking of you XDA members is, do any of you have a charger that looks exactly like the one i bought from Amazon? And did it ship with your sony phone/tablet ? It'll help me out and i can feel safer about using it with my device, dont want it to mess it up. If not i'll just have to open it up to compare its guts to my original. Amazon has done all they can do by giving me credit and directly contacting the seller, though they still claim its authenticity.

I have this. mine is D6603. And it's same as your original one.
But I am not sure if the other is fake. Maybe it's from the newer family, Z5?

Im looking for anyone else that has the one from amazon, thank you though. I too have the D6603 model

here is my original one which is like your amazon's charger @dj2muchxx

Fake "original" HTC touch hd battery?

Hi,
Last week i bought an extra battery for my hd, i decided to order a genuine HTC battery instead of an aftermarket battery hoping i would get quality for my money. I ordered from an pretty reliable webshop.
The battery came in an HTC packing witch looked genuine to me.
But when checked the battery a bit closer and compared it to my original battery that came with the phone it looked a bit different.
After fidling a while with it, I noticed it was kinda raggity-ass and one part of the battery was loose.
Anyway i upped some pictures where you can see what im talking about.
http://img17.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=cimg2066o.jpg
I was hoping someone could tell me if i have been propper fed or if HTC is making cheap ass battery's now to save a few bucks.
PS: is there anyway of checking the serial no. online to see if it is genuine HTC.
PS2: the best noticeable difference is where the original battery says:
Serial no.:
and the lame one:
Serial no:
so without the dot before the colon
emails
HTC responce:
Thank you for your enquiry.

We just run HTC’s webshop for Europe so I suggest that you take this up with HTC directly
Sincere apologies

Well at least they know what there selling
Hi, do you have any news about this subject?
Nope
Nah... i gave up. Its still working propperly. I must say though, I looked ad a few batterys from other peoples touch hd's and saw a few differences in them too. So i think it's a genuine battery but that there are a few companys who make them for HTC and some are better than others.

I usually prefer to buy batteries, not from the original manufacturer, but from other places (i dont mean cheapo chinese ebay type). They are usually a higher rated battery so last a bit longer and are generally cheaper, and I like to think that they are trying harder to make a better battery to sell, but i'm sure it's not the case, and that the materials will be cheaper and therefore less stable. In my experience they haven't let me down yet. As long as they are CE approved, it's all good.
Your story about perhaps getting a fake after paying extra for an "original" is scary though. If it was a fake that is. I'd expect an original to be well made, but in your case you say it felt poor quality. I hope they're not all like that.

Anyone know what this Dock is for?

http://www.excaliberpc.com/607968/asus-transformer-tf101-desktop-stand.html#TabDescription
Looks like there is no power cord, so no way to charge the TF while in use.
But I like the extra ports.
Anyone have this that would mind telling us if it is worth the price?
It says it has 2x 40-pin connectors both male and female, so it's essentially a passthrough for power so it should charge it. If you just wanted a desk dock with some extra ports seems decent.
If (and that is HUGE "IF") it ever becomes available.....
I want one of those.... I really want it!
You can buy it in the Asus shop but I think it's a stand that can be used next to your computer for charging and USB connection.
which asus shop? they don't have it there..
Yes I do, it's for use as an entertaiment center, photo frame, or whatever you want to use it for. It comes with TWO USB ports and a 3.5mm audio jack along the back (bottom) of the base. I think it's cool myself.
I've placed my order from EXcaliberPC back in August knowing the were due by early fall - specifically anytime now. I spoke to a rep and they're claiming these are trickling in. At this point wether you get one or not depends on and if YOU PRE-ORDER. To date - this the ONLY eTailer - to date is carrying just about all the available accessories. The only item they haven't posted or given ANY information about at all is the Asus OEM Screen Protector.
After searching and comparing prices all over the web, EXcaliberPC.com is offereing very competitve prices and is actually among the lowest - if not the lowest - big name eTailer that isn't, I REPEAT, ISN'T PRICE GOUGING it's customers!
Asus itself can't even mae that statement, and as a matter of fact EXcaliber also sells "everything Asus" - including configurable systms on their eBay Store with big discounts too!

My recent experience with RMA

i think it's fair for me to give a good review of my repair process because Asus tech support did a great job with my case.
i purchased my tablet, the C0 serial batch, and noticed there was a patch of white speck on the screen so called tech support, got my RMA number for repair. i just briefly asked on the form they asked me to fill if there were fixes for the wifi/GPS. the timeline was 4/15 repair request, 4/28 sent and received by Asus, 5/17 sent back to me, one-day delivery.
i guess it was more cost efficient for them to replace it then fix the screen so they gave me a C2 serial batch. the tablet works great now. Wi-fi, though the bar shows weak signal from time to time, is working great. Not as fast as ipad at further distance away from router but no lag for everyday uses. within 15 feet from router, both are equally fast.
one only negative thing was that i didn't send in my power adapter for repair, which was not required so when they sent me a new tablet, they opened the new C2 tablet and took away the power adapter. They noted that on the slip included in the package. It made me feel that Asus was a bit cheap to care about such minor details that i shouldn't get the new adapter when i never sent it in the old one.
my computer was sent to a Canada warehouse for repair so i don't know if that makes a difference from the Grapevine, TX? warehouse other ppl mentioned. So i guess different people have different experience and i was one of the lucky ones.
When had you purchased the tablet? I just saw a dead pixel yesterday, but I've had my tablet for three months now. I'm just wondering how long before they stop accepting RMAs for these things.

I suppose there is no reason to assume they will stop accepting RMAs until the last one is out of warranty.
let me get this straight, you sent in your tab without sending them the adapter, they send you a "new" tab without adapter and you think this is cheap? Honestly the C2 was probably a refurb. So like Asurion and other programs they take your old one, send it to a repair pile, grab a recently repiared and pack it for shipping.
come to think of your way of thinking, there is a possibility that the tablet was a refurbished one because the tablet had a very very small dent on the corner, barely noticeable although i assumed it was new because it had the shrink wrap around it.
but you are correct and are entitled to your opinion that i was in a no better or worst off position with that not giving me the power adapter so yes, i do agree i shouldn't say Asus is cheap.
for the other question, i didn't even have to provide my receipt to get the warranty because my serial number indicates that the tablet was made in December 2011 so regardless, they were ready to honor the 1 year warranty with or without proof
cheers
I will add to the positive RMA experience (mostly). I sent my tablet in on May 4 for bad HDMI, BT/WiFi, Light Bleed, and a deformed power port.
My tablet was back in my hands on May 18 fully repaired. It took several emails to Hai and ASUS_USA at Transformer Forums (very helpful and responsive) to keep my case progressing, but you have to stay on top of it.
My WiFi is better. I am getting much better reception in my basement and much higher connection speeds. GPS is the same. I was disappointed that they basically just bent my power port back into shape, but everything does work fine now.
Bit of advice - get on them early to ship it back to you overnight (or at least 2nd day air). Their standard practice is to send it Fedex ground, which is very frustrating when you have been without a tablet for so long.

However, if he did send in the charger he would likely have still not received one back. I've seen this a couple of times from posters in these forums. You aren't supposed to send in peripherals such as the charger unless specifically requested to as part of the repair and troubleshooting process.
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
I did send in my charger with mine, and the one I got back was a replacement, at least the USB cord was (the outer housing of my USB plug had chipped away at the side and they apparently replaced it). I got a similarly fast turnaround with no babysitting, for the serial number issue. I didn't get next day air back, but I was happy to receive a shipping label free of charge to ship it in with. Everything works, so I'm happy.

seriously doubt they will accept RMA for 1 dead pixel. read the warranty card. for displays and dead pixels, it has to meet certain requirements in order to be accepted for warranty repair. its all very detailed on warranty card THaT came with prime.
If any of you guys are looking for an extra power adapter and have an Office Depot near you they carry them and you can check stores stock online.. They work with 201, 101 and 300.. I just picked one up myself in case the one mine came with craps out

Looking for a multi charger and a car mount

Hey all,
Not really specific to the XS, but hey.
I have several devices that charge over USB, including the XS, an X10 and an X8. I keep them on my desk and it'd be mega convenient to have one unit that can support several 1-1.5A devices, few short cables. Would be much better than running multiple cables up from multiple chargers plugged into a power bar.
Next bit is a car mount. I have a lacquered desk so car mounts work like they do on glass. Very nice solution, can see when stuff comes in(sleep disabled), type when you need to. Landscape & portrait. Anyone got a recommendation for one for the XS?
TIA,
Scratch
Also looking one of those..
Will be glad if someone know where to get..

If anyone wants:
http://www.ebay.ie/itm/120898008131...sid=m570&_nkw=120898008131&_fvi=1&_rdc=1#shId
Dont ship to Ireland though :/
This one does(free) http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Car-Swivel-M...ccessories&hash=item27c6f6b2ff#ht_4697wt_1163
BTW, there is one listed with a "flex" arm, IMO a solid arm is a way better option.
This is what I brought for my Sony Xperia P. I live in North America and brought my P from Clove so the EP850 it came with didn't have a North America plug anyways. It's official Sony model AC-UD20 so it matches and is a 1.5amp charger with nice folding blades and excellent build quality with two USB outs:
http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...productId=8198552921666397175&tab=featuresTab
I brought the matching white L shaped Sony USB cable SPA-UL7 to go with it. 0-100% in 1 hour 10 minutes with this combo and excellent built quality on the cable:
http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...productId=8198552921666439473&tab=featuresTab
I ordered it over the phone from Sonystyle.com, got them to price match the charger to J&Rs price of $19.99 and the cable to another site I saw it on for $9.99 so total came out to a very reasonable $30.
I see Sony also does make an official car mount model number SPA-CK10. This would probably be your best choice in terms of build quality and asthetics since it's Sony:

1st link: Rated at 500mah? And I'd need 4 ports(I found one solution but €65 is too much)
Car mount is nice but too low/stubby. Ordered the chinese one on ebay so I'll post back how I get on in a week or two when it arrives.

No earphones...Why?

Just saw a retail version of the G5(T-mobile version) unboxing vid,and unfortunately there were no earphones in the box.Why would LG do that?could other versions include it?
Btw,if anybody wondering if the charger is a quick charger, yes it is.
Bit of a waste of money including them imo, most people don't use them.

I do. In fact I prefer it when they ship good headphones. I got the Sony Noise Cancelling headphones with my Z2 and loved them, made the purchase of the phone a little extract special. I'd agreed if every manufacturer just chucked some cheap ear buds in but most do provide something that will make the phone sound great when listening to music so you know your money is well spent

Because this is a phone that is projected to sell for no more than $300 in 3-4 months from now, and still bring some kind of profit.
I'd elect for the the extra battery and cam over wired headphones(with early purchase) any day
I just picked up my G5 from my local Sprint retailer. The phone does not come with headphones from Sprint either it just has the wall charger and the USB-C adapter. There is a promotion currently going on through LG's website (I would post a link but I can't due to not having enough posts yet) where you are able to get a second battery and cradle by showing your proof of purchase.
