You can root your HTC desire 816g mt6582 (not the octa-core version) manually by flashing a recovery and then using the flashable SuperSU zip file.
This process worked for my device and I am not responsible for any harm caused by this process to your device.
Requirements:
1. Android SDK or minimalistic ADB & Fastboot
2. Recovery image
3. SuperSU package
4. Patience
Download CWM recovery from the link given below:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4bhG1oL3GeKZ3ZBMW53bW9NWUE/view?usp=sharing
Download SuperSu package and place it in root folder of SD card. (Not in Internal memory as CWM recovery for this device doesn't access internal memory for now.)
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
Installation Steps:
1. Connect device in debugging mode to your PC/system with adb and fastboot tools.
2. Use the below command to boot into fastboot mode:

3. Use the below command to flash the downloaded recovery image to device:
fastboot flash recovery Name_of_recovery_file
4. After flashing recovery you have to use the hardware keys to boot into recovery.
5. Use the volume buttons to navigate in recovery and power button to select an option.
6. Select option "Install from SD Card"
7. Select the SuperSu package in SD card.

N.B.
If you only want to install custom recovery then follow installation instructions till step 5 and reboot.
Install Recovery for only one boot
Some users may not want to install custom recovery over stock but have to use custom recovery for flashing. They can change the command in Step 3 to this new command and proceed.
fastboot boot recovery Name_of_recovery_file
Please go through the steps carefully before proceeding.
All the best.
Proceed with caution and only if you know the risks of anything going wrong.

Mr.Jaswal, if he really had to go to the mobile care center, he wouldn't be participating the XDA Forums. People go to the mobile care center only when their phone is hard bricked, and i do not think that is the case here. I'm sure the problem can be solved.
Reflash stock ROM again. You will get your system back.

Yes you can, as long as your phone is rooted. But make sure you use a custom recovery and not the stock recovery .Meaning, you have to flash another recovery like CWM Recovery. And please disable signature verification. Let me know what happens Reset to factory settings and do a full wipe before doing anything else though

Yes, install the CWM.zip via stock recovery first. Find the right version for your phone. This one:
h ttp://ww w.mediafire.com/download/sh5 41l2u2e78vl6/CWM6.0. 27.z ip (Delete the spaces and use link)
After you have done that, you can flash a custom rom like this one:

Did you disable signature verification? Do that and try. If that doesn't work either you can use fastboot to install recovery, which will 100%.
Follow these steps :
1.USB drivers for your phone must be installed on a computer.
2.Android SDK must be installed on your computer.
3.Your phone must be connected to your computer via USB.
4.The ADB and Fastboot drivers must be pasted into the folder where Android SDK is installed.
5.Navigate to the Android SDK folder, press shift and Right Click, select the Open Command Window here option.
6.Then type the following after your phone is recognized by cmd.In most cases it is.(Type this command to start fastboot : "adb reboot bootloader" and then "fastboot devices")
7.After that type the following : fastboot devices
And then : fastboot flash recovery FILE.ZIP
8.And you are done Open your custom recovery with the key combination used to open your stock recovery.
Let me know if it worked.

Canvas 4 A210 Flashing Custom Recovery Via FASTBOOT

Today i was finding the method to root My friend's Micromax Canvas 4 A210, i downloaded the many files and drivers for rooting but unable to do so, then i tried SP Tool too, but unable to flash recovery, the problem is with the drivers, Then i found that this device has fastboot mode, we just need a custom recovery for rooting any android phone then just install superuser or supersu via that custom recovery. then i boot this device is fastboot and flash the custom cwm recovery. so i just want to share this with all of you, because i didn't found this method anywhere.

How can I lock the phone back after unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing Xposed?

How can I lock the phone back after unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing Xposed?
Wipe installed custom ROM (System+data+cache+dalvik).
**Internal storage optional (You may have to flash TWRP again though).
Install MIUI recovery ROM pack through TWRP. Run MIUI initial setup. Reboot to fastboot and flash stock recovery, you can find stock recovery in MIUI forums. After that check for successful flash and successful system boot. Only then run the fastboot command to lock the bootloader :
fastboot oem lock
**Do not lock with TWRP. You'll hard brick your phone
***After flashing MIUI in TWRP flash lazyflasher or your device will be stuck
If you don't understand the complications in this method please ignore it, am sure there are some easier ways using MiFlash. Check MIUI forum for relocking and recovering to MIUI. If you wanna come back to the world of custom ROMs and Mods XDA is the place.

Thank You
BTW If you have the time could you write this more in steps like for a noob. If not it still kicks a$$ and thanks for reply
First you need to get rid of your current ROM and it's data. For that boot into TWRP and select wipe, in the list of partitions displayed select :
•System
•Data
•Cache
•Dalvikand confirm wipe. This step removes the ROM and data associated with it. Now the only thing you can access is TWRP and fastboot.
Also during wipe you can also select to wipe Internal Storage partition but after you do this you may lose TWRP also at the next boot. Now your phone can only boot into fastboot mode. So if you did wipe your internal storage also flash TWRP again from fastboot. If you ask how..:
•Download TWRP recovery from here
•Copy the downloaded file to any folder on your PC.
•Install ADB and fastboot drivers on your PC if you haven't.
•Reboot phone into fastboot mode(Power + Volume down) and connect to PC.
•Go to folder where your placed the TWRP image file.
•Open command prompt in that folder (Shift+right click mouse, open command window here)
•Type the following commands without the quotes :
" fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-mido.IMG "
•Now try rebooting into TWRP (Power + Volume Up). If you followed the steps right you should be able to.Remember this step is only if you decide to wipe internal storage also else it is completely not necessary.
OK now that you are left with a phone that only has TWRP we need a ROM to boot into, in your case you want a MIUI ROM. Download latest stable MIUI recovery ROM pack from MIUI website or just google if your having trouble finding it. For MIUI ROMs to successfully boot on a custom recovery you need to flash an additional zip called lazyflasher else your phone will be stuck at the MI logo. I'll attach the zip below. Okay so now since you have the required files copy them to your phone's internal storage.
Boot into TWRP and install the MIUI ROM zip first and the Lazyflasher zip after that. Reboot into system and phone should enter MIUI initial setup in some minutes(be patient MIUI initial boot can be long). Finish the setup.
Now you need to flash the latest stock recovery of your phone. I don't have it with me now so a simple google search will do the work. The procedure for flashing the recovery is the same as flashing TWRP which I have mentioned above. The only change you have do in the fastboot command line is the file name of your stock recovery.
After flashing check for successful boot, only then proceed with the relocking procedure as follows:
•Boot phone into fastboot mode
•Connect to PC
•Open Command prompt
•Type this fastboot command without the quotes :
" fastboot oem lock"•Once done reboot your phone.
Now you must have a relocked phone.
**Never relock your phone with any custom mods like custom recovery, custom ROM or even a MIUI which is rooted. Also be on 100% stock configuration before relocking device. Failing to do so will result in a hard brick.

Unofficial TWRP & TWRP installer for MOTO one Power

This TWRP & TWRP Installer is Unofficial.
Official TWRP Can find on following link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-power/how-to/official-twrp-motorola-one-power-t3848354
NOTE:- Decryption support available now for TWRP in Fastboot mode only (TWRP installer currently not support for decryption)
Credit & Thanks
@erfanoabdi for bringing officeal TWRP for MOTO one Power
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Warning:-
I am not responsible for bricked devices.
Your warranty will void now. Do it at your own Risk.
Requirement:-
1. Unlock Bootloader Link By @rushiranpise :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-power/how-to/guide-motorola-one-power-unlock-relock-t3858797
2. Minimal adb & fastboot install on pc :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Note: - As google introduce the partation AB for android one devices so there is no recovery partation sepereatly .
We need to patch recovery into Boot.img.
Guide:-
1. Download Twrp recovery.img & TWRP Installer. keep TWRP_recovery.img in adb folder and copy twrp insatller to sd card of phone
2. go to settings/about phone/build number (tap build no for 7 time now developer option available in settings)
3. go to developer option turn on usb debugging .
4. then go to pc download and extract and copy adb fastboot driver folder in Drive C. (or install form net.)
5. Go in fastboot folder which is copied to C. press and hold shift key on your key board and click right key on your mouse . it will show option open cmd here or open power shell window here.
6. Click it, A cmd window will open. or you can open CMD in pc as admin and use cd cmd to adb minimul folder.
type "adb devices" - it show some no of your device in cmd window on pc if not just revoke adb from your phone developer setting and give permission from your phone screen)
type "adb reboot bootloader" your phone reboot in bootloader mode.
Now Type in CMD :-1. fastboot devices (a device no. will show in cmd window on pc) if not means fastboot not installed properly reinstall it.
2. fastboot boot TWRP_recovery.img (phone will boot in twrp temporary)
(Now if you want to read your internal storage in twrp then you need to wipe by select format data option at bottem right of twrp. Beware it will erase all data from your phone ) if you not want then skip this
3. select install option and select sd card from select storage option from twrp.
4. select twrp installer which you copied into sd card and install.
Done TWRP now installed into boot. reboot to recovery and then reboot to system.
Note:- you need to flash this installer after every rom flashing or boot flashing to patch boot again because now twrp is inside the boot itself
New Link TWRP3.3.1 (update)- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iRpOyUA-FleNwiWO7Rmu5kEeWjgmDBox (decryption support)
Link TWRP3.3.0 (update)- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1k5nZ3AfAd8GEkbPN3ntPj7c922VbqqfZ (decryption support)
As in TWRP 3.3.0 there is no need of twrp installer zip, in advance function of twrp there is option to install ramdisk into boot. this option is available but not working for us . it is installing but stuck on teamwin logo so use only as boot in twrp don't install it.

How to Take Nandroid Backup and Restore (Only for Decryption support twrp)
1. boot into twrp via fastboot and enter your pin or password to decrypt.
2. Most important - go to backup and unselect oem and system and vendor. (there are two system and vendor unselect one and only select system image and vendor image to take backup)
3. now select storage where to take backup either internal or external or usb otg.
4. take backup.
5. For restore select restore and do.
6. step 2 is most improtant never use these partition to take backup or restore.
Note:- if after restore phone not boot properly or any issue don't panic restore stock rom(which backup you have) & boot and do process again to resotre. always better to restore only boot, system image and vendor image and data only.
Version-4
added all official support in this
Removed MTP & fix bugs for wiping partition
Removed Toybox & included busybox
advance versoin then official TWRP(Compiled with PIE source)

try transferring the .img file to sd card first and then try the same command
maybe it will help
you can try these methods too:
i) check if the bootloader is getting lock again
ii) you've turned on oem unlocking in develeper options
iii) check the partiton isn't corrupted
and if these does not help you try factory resetting your device.
good luck

if you are still getting this error
I find a way to get through it
just enter the command and press enter without connecting your phone
it will show that its waiting for device
then get into the bootloader by holding down power and volume down button
then connect the phone to pc
it should do the work

[Help] Bootloop on Xiaomir Redmi Note 4X

Hello, I'm kind of new at this (this is my first post) so be gentle
So, the last few days I've been trying to install a new rom on my phone (Redmi Note 4X) and the problems started with the model. I only seem to find Redmi Note 4 roms, and as I've come to find, mine is supposed to be the mido one (correct me if I'm wrong though). I have unlocked the bootloader, I have installed and enabled the fastboot on my phone, so the next step was to install the latest TWRP.
There came more problems; I tried doing this through the app and it just wouln't flash it. So I found a guide on how to root my phone and install a new recovery through adb and I followed it. It didn't work. I couldn't find the right twrp version for my phone. When I finally did realise my phone needed mido, I found the latest from the TWRP website. It wouldn't load through adb again. I found a thread about a fixed mido version, which finally worked for me. But my brother who was helping me, and isn't as much of a noob as I am (he has flashed rom and recoveries many times on his Nexus 5X), decided that I necessarily need the latest twrp if I'm going to flash a new rom, so he flashed the new twrp through the old one, and soft bricked my phone (I think). So I'm searching for a guide to unbrick it. (Which I can't seem to find to work at least).
To conclude;
I have unlocked my bootloader
I have access to the fastboot
I tried to flash a recovery
I failed many times, but I managed it
I flashed the latest twrp and bricked my phone
I don't have access to the recovery
My phone is still on a bootloop
I am not sure about which phone model I have
Help!
Thanks in advance.
1. Just check your phone model on its box. If its Snapdragon version (Mido), then just install it via fastboot. (code: fastboot flash recovery twrp-midoxx.img). If you are success, then try to reboot to recovery (fastboot boot twrpmido-xx.img). After booted, then you just manage to rom.zip you want to install. If you don't have it, then download it before from your PC and push it to your phone. Or just enable Mtp checklis from TWRP n copy that file to your internal phone/sdcard. Wipe all/factory reset except internal storage. Then you dan install rom.zip normally. N reboot. (Note: if you are on MIUI and wanted to always stay on it, just flash the file called lazyflasher.zip. n' wipe cache n art cache only then reboot). Flashing custom recovery on stock MIUI Will manage the device Going to bootloop)
2. If you have mediatek version (nikel), searching the fastboot Rom from miui website and flash it normally via fastboot. (SP Flash tool)
Warning: flash the wrong rom file into wrong phone Will make your device brick. So becarefull n knowing what model/code name you have.

Firstly, enter fastboot mode on your device. Connecting to pc and flashing the twrp for mido. "fastboot flash recovery twrp-mido.img". Then boot to it using " fastboot boot twrp-mido.img". Then you will enter the recovery (twrp) in a second. Copy the lazyflasher into your phone (enable mtp first in Mount option in twrp) that you downloaded from pc. Just flash the lazyflasher.zip and reboot.
And why you don't want to flash lazyflasher when it very easy to flash it using recovery twrp? adb? You mean android debugging? Actually, you cant flash a .zip file into your system partition except through fastboot mode. However, fastboot mode (in cmd) only recognize a .img file. I just try to tell you the easier method to make your device boot up.

As I said above, I can only access the fastboot, and I get errors in the adb when I try to flash the twrp image.
