App screenshooting page at whole scroll height - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there! I have the LG Spirit 4g lte and I've rooted it with kingroot app. Do you guys here at the XDA have or know of a good screenshot app that can take a screenshot of a complete page. That means a page where you need to scroll down and down to see the content of the whole page. I just want an app that can take a screenshot of the complete page of its complete height. Don't care that the dimensions of the screenshot will be height 5 times more than width ... or sth like that. Just as long as the app can produce 1 single screenshot of a tall page. Been needing an app like that for a long time.
Thank you in advance and thanks for a great forum/platform you give us here at the XDA!

Screenshot is only what you can see on screen
but screen recoder is what you need maybe ?

Well ... ok, call it whatever you want, i think i've explained well in my post what I want it to do. I want an image file, not a video file. So ... Yeah, back to my question, do you have an app for my need or not?

It's in the market too but it won't display pics in 3d
I hate this problem too, a workaround is to open the camera app and click the preview box in the corner. That will allow you to view the most recently taken pictures first, and when you switch to grid view it will start at the bottom.
Did you know that, when scrolling through the photos, there is a function similar to what you get in the addressbook (People)? Once you start scrolling and the little scrubber/scroll bar appears, grab it and move it manually. It'll allow you to fly through the images in a second. As you're doing so, it'll even give you a pop up of the date of the photos where you'd be if you stopped scrolling. I hope that helps.
I think the other annoying thing I've seen in every Android phone (or not seen) is the ability to choose a folder before/as you're taking photos where it will save to. On top of this I don't like the HTC photo numbering scheme (image sequence) instead of time stamp as a name. I prefer the time stamp as you don't have to worry about duplicates, repeats, or conflicting names when moving and shuffling photos from phone to phone or computer for backup.

launcher8 tutorial request

I've known of this launcher as well as L7 and SS Launcher but I haven't seen any tutorials for L8. Do we have any experienced users of this application who could be so kind as to write a detailed tutorial with pictures so others can keep the unrelated BS questions out of the main general discussion thread

This launcher (launcher8) is quite basic and simple to use. Unfortunately I don't have the time to create a tutorial. But if you want to know anything, you can always send me a PM.

With the simplicity set aside, I was wondering if there was a website dedicated to all tiles?
Sent from my ICS powered LG Optimus T
Search on Google "Windows 8 tiles deviantart." I've got lots of tiles from that site. I don't exactly remember the link.

On the screenshot, there's a tile that scrolls but I'd like to change that scrolling feature and use something different? How do I change it?

Looks like a great program.
I agree with OP. I'm looking for the same thing. Googling for info led me not many places but here.
A five minute video walking through a typical screen setup would be wonderful.
Or a post with one or two or ten pointers that everyone should know starting out with the launcher would also be great.
Whoever takes the time to do this will surely be met with extrinsic rewards in the form of many scincere thank-you votes, as well as intrinsic sense of accomplishment for a valuable contribution to our community.
A few of my 1000 questions:
1 - the picture thingy... is there a way to resize it so it displays the entire picture rather than scrolling portions of it?
2 - how do I add new screens on the side rather than building one long vertical screen?
3 - when I try to assign an application to a tile, they are not in alphabetical order.... can it be changed to alphabetical like the "App Drawer" on the right hand screen?
4 - How to change the size of my time panel. When I edit it, there is no option to change the size like on other panels.
I'll give one tip:
You can set the borders between tiles to zero for a very cool look, and more room for photos/icons.
Go to Settings/Themes/Tile Paddings -> 0pixels.
(I read that in the other thread and love the results)
Can you provide me a link to this launcher??

[Q] Any photo viewers or slideshows with true fullscreen like the Youtube app?

Been searching for over an hour between google and XDA.
I am simply trying to find a photo viewer and slideshow app that does true fullscreen. Some people claim it's not possible. But the Youtube app does it perfectly with full screen video. No top bar and no soft buttons on the bottom of my 4.2.2 tablet.
So far all the apps I have tried, at best will hide the top status bar. But many apps of various uses, do that.
Does anyone know of any photo apps that can do this? And if there truly is none currently, I should start looking into what it would take to write one.

QuickPic and JustPictures, both do not do true fullscreen. They still have the soft buttons at the bottom which they turn into 3 dots. They only hide the top status bar.
With the Youtube app, when you play a video fullscreen, it's true fullscreen. Both the top and bottom Android bars become hidden and the video uses the full pixel count of the screen.
There are plenty of apps that hide the top status bar. I don't remember the names of all the apps I have tried, but so far none of them hide the bottom soft buttons like the Youtube app.

Sorry, I guess I am not being specific enough. It appears that my original thoughts are correct. There simply are no apps that will view photos on demand or present a slideshow using the full screen. I will have to research options for programming my own app to do such a thing. Though if it was a simple thing, I am pretty sure ALL the apps would offer it, at least as an option.
Another thing I didn't mention in the original post is that I know there are workarounds such as using the app mentioned above. But I am trying to specifically find an image viewer and slideshow app that will do true fullscreen. And I was using the Youtube app as an example.
Given that apps like Hide Bottom Bar, exist. I would think the method used in that app could be used within image viewing and slideshow apps. So I wonder how it's done code wise.

Hiding a Nav Bar (i mean totally hiding) is quite simple ... You could use it to make your app (if you're planning to)
Code:
View view = findViewById(R.id.scrollView); // scrollView is the parent view of that activity layout
view .setSystemUiVisibility(View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_HIDE_NAVIGATION);
I just now tested it and it works ... :good:

Thanks. I will try it out. I would love to write my own full screen image viewer and slideshow app. This would be a perfect excuse for me to try.
One thing I noticed in the reviews and the notes for the Hide Bottom Bar app, is it mentioned it requires root for JB. And one reviewer said it doesn't work on 4.2.2. I wonder if your code example works on a non-rooted 4.2.2 like the Google Nexus 7 and others. Though I don't have a non-rooted 4.2.2 to test it on.

Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation. Wonder why isn't not being used in any of the apps already out there. I would think this would be top of the list for a image viewing app.

GT-I9505 (jfltexx latest nightly), i have changed lcd dencity from stock 480 to 420.
Thanks a lot for making this application! Made it very easy for me to change my lockscreen wallpaper in my device running CM12.1.

You asked for a review, so here you go.
Question:
First, it seems you have fixed something that I have yet to figure out. You can place photos into the lockscreen that I can't. Since I can open the picture from the directory once it is placed there just fine, this issue has something to do with which pictures the system will use and which it won't. Are you doing any kind of editing to the picture other than just copying it to the proper location? After some tests, it looks like there is a file size limitation. How big of a file does the system accept and what API do you use to reduce the image? I'm just using the raw picture with no editing of any kind. I think it should be up to the user to edit using whatever they see fit, but I wasn't aware of a maximum filesize limitation in the OS (I'm running Temasek).
Review:
The Google Billing permission almost made me delete it without installing it. Something that simple shouldn't ask for money. Save that for your next program. You will only scare people away like that! Next, I find being forced to use Google Photos for this to be really annoying. I hate Google Photos, and it crashes on my device just as often as not, but that isn't the point. Its the whole design of the interface.
Here is a scenario ...
Lets say I'm browsing the web, say DeviantART, and I see a picture I want to put on my lockscreen. How many steps does this take?
Hold finger on Image
Click Save Image to Download to SD Card
Press Home Button
Click App Drawer
Find your APP and click it
Click Select Image
Find Picture in Google Photos
Click Apply
My solution ... (using hooks into Open file and Share system dialogs).
Hold finger on image
Tap icon next to share button
This assumes the last share was via my "Show On Lockscreen" APK, if not, you tap the share icon next to the list and tap "Show On Lockscreen" (1 more step). The point is that you don't need to leave the app, load a new one, and try to manually download files and then find them (even though I know where it downloaded to, Google Photos doesn't give me a file system view and you don't let me use any other method such as using my file manager). With my way, I don't have to find anything or look for anything. It doesn't touch the SD Card, it goes from the web directly to the lockscreen file.
So ... your app obviously works, otherwise you wouldn't have posted it, but I just hate the interface. Want to make a deal? Show me the code you use to reduce the image size so that the lockscreen will pick it up, and I'll give you the Intent code that lets you hook into the Open and Share dialogs so you can bring up your interface after the user selects an image. I have some other code you can use to let the user decide what app to use to choose an image (even the camera) so that if they load your app directly (instead of from an Open Image With ... or Share Image ... dialog outside your program), they won't need to be restricted to Google Photos. They can choose how to select the file. And with that, we both get what we want and everyone wins.
Very cool!
Simeting similaire for layer user?

Thanks actually. This is rather helpful.
I try to reach 10 fck his rule
