Try flashing the stock rom of the xt1022 but with out the revcovery an flash the custom rom that you want

Open the zip of the backup you're trying to restore with a file manager. Each partition should be in there and have either an EXT3 or EXT4 filename. The recovery will automatically format the partitions based on how the backup was saved. So if /System is saved with an EXT3 extension, the recovery will format it for you. If you are getting an error then it might be a bad backup.
Also, try using fastboot to wipe everything instead of CWM. I though romracer told me fastboot always formats to EXT3, but I couldn't find the specific post/message. Won't hurt to try
I take error while restoring \system with cwm, this is the log details:
solibPhotoEditor.solibmtpstack.solibGLESv1_CM.solibmot_btpan_jni.solibnvmm_service.soliba2dp.solibWifiAPHardware.solibvpnclient_jni.sotar: write error: No space left on device
solibreverbwrapper.solibbundlewrapper.solibvisualizer.soError while restoring /system!
result was NULL, message is: assert failed: restore_rom("/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/Firmware_Tim_2.3.4", "boot", "system", "data", "cache", "sd-ext")

[Q] PIT Flash(repartition) failed,but its working!

Hey guys,
Today I did a repartition of my phone with the 1GB system 3 GB appstorage pit file.
I also used a PDA file with a apolo 4.x kernel(for neatrom 4.1)
Well... the flash failed...
I however could start the phone. I booted up and presente me with: type in password to access encrypted storage.
I then booted into the recovery and tried to flash a new ROM.
but emmc / the internal SD card could not be mounted.
I then formated the internal SD in windows and was able to access the card again.
But I still could not install a rom because /data could not be mounted. I formated the /data partition after "repair" under TWRP for the data partition didnt work.
I now could access all partitions and install th ROM.
I now have 1009 MB space in /system and 3GB in /data and I can also use the ROM
but why did I get an Error MSG in odin? Is everything OK with my mobile phone or should I try to repartition it again until I get a "sucessfull" MSG?
Thanks

twrp can't mount data.

Everytime I format data or change file format to ext4 then it will mount data/internal storage. But, after the first boot, it is back to square one.
Running Pixel Experience latest.
Twrp version 3.2.3.-2.
Any sort of help will be appreciated because I have to format my phone every time.

TWRP on Swift 2x: Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid Argument)

Hi all.
I'm trying to make a last backup of the stock Android of my Swift 2x before flashing LineageOS. But TWRP (version 3.3.0-0) Seems unable to use the /data partition. I got various messages like:
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid Argument)
I tried to format the partition: Wipe -> advanced wipe -> repair or change filesystem -> change filesystem -> ext4 but it didn't change anything.
What's wrong? What can I do?
Thanks a lot for any hint.
bumping this thread as I also ran into this issue.
When using TWRP, the data and system partitions can't be mounted. they also show up as being 0mb in size.
Because of this, no backups can be made and a full system wipe also yields errors.
What I did was change the filesystem to ext2 and then change it back again to ext4.
Doing this at least allowed me to flash crdroid, but making backups still doesn't work.
Whenever i go into TWRP again, it's the same thing again: unable to mount and partitions show up as 0 mb in size.
Anyone know what's causing this?
Wileyfox encrypts there data when you factory reset your device or after youve rooted your device .To get around this you need to do a factory reset using stock recovery once thats done then turn off the device. Then using minimum adb and fastboot type (fastboot boot twrp.img) that will boot your already installed twrp now erase data internal storage etc you'll notice you can finally delete stock os youll see internal storage is showing mbs available again etc worked for me perfectly.

Can't fix TWRP not mounting internal storage

Hello,
I own a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro (sweet). Its bootloader is unlocked and I use TWRP 3.6.1 as recovery. The problem is that when I install a rom (EvolutionX), everything works until I reboot to TWRP. At that point, my recovery is unable to mount the phone's internal storage and it shows as 0 bytes. I have followed a few help topics already, which stated that the solution was to change the data partition format to Ext2, then back to Ext4. However, this makes my phone unable to restart to system. The problem is that when I format my data, the data partition is by default formated as f2fs. I'm guessing that any other data format makes it unable to boot.
So the problem is:
When data is formatted to Ext4, TWRP is able to mount my phone's internal storage and install roms. However, in that case, my phone won't boot to system.
In the other case, my data is formatted to f2fs, which makes my phone totally functional, but my recovery useless. Which means I can't root my phone or update it.
What could I do?
Thanks in advance.
are you mixing up file system type with encryption? if your android is 12, TWRP is not able to decrypt (yet). then just disable encryption and format userdata f2fs (unencrypted).
otherwise claim it to TWRP maintainer he forgot f2fs support.
