I have sent a PM

I can't test wright now, i'm on marshmallow. So, for now, no root options

Join
Could I join to test it?

Definitely interested
Would be great with cm on p8! Have you posted on huawei p8's forum? maybe more response there.
I want to test it, depending on the stability of the rom. How stable is it when you use it? many features are lacking?

Count me in
I'd like to give your mod a try!

as long as im not going to get into a bootloop , im willing to try. getting my p8 tomorrow and from using it in store I already know im going to hate Emui.
how has it been working for you up untill now? and is this android 5.0 or 6.0?

I can give it a try too, i am back to B200

So if you started cyanogenmod, and if you also need testers, where is your github (or whatever else you use), getting the sense youre screwin use just like two other dudes did at the huawei P7 forum (and also a cyanogenmod project)
I'll see

I am currently running B200 (5.0.1) on my GRA-L09 and I would be willing to test this.
I have flashed Firmwares before (mostly on Samsung devices) and I am familiar with things like TWRP, but I think a good and precise guide starting with how to root and install custom recovery on the P8 would probably be welcome by a lot of people.

There is a thread already:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3117627
Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-L09 using Tapatalk

im in too
Stock B317 Marshmallow
TWRP
rooted

Are there any news or more information about CM on P8?

Is there a git repository of the port?

I would love to test it

It depends on the ROM developer. CM team doesn't support devices on their own,it need a maintainer.

Requests , petitions won't help.It goes official most likely when developer decide to submit it.
Just for reference.

nothing, a dev must take in care the mantainance of the device, a user can't do anything... this being said, there are no differences between unofficial and official CM roms, only nightly and OTA updates, if cybojenix wants to mantain CM for moto e he will be the one who will work on it... so no differences in development

[DISCUSSION][AOSP] Let's build!

Ok, first i had done this for cm13, let's see what I can do for AOSP! Lulz. Think my earlier thread for cm13 created too much of hype and development restarted (joy++)
So, First of all, i haven't built AOSP as of yet for op2, will do it. If anyone can get the recovery working, or any progress, report here.
If we have AOSP caf tree, we will be able to port UBUNTU TOUCH, and many other ROMs based of aosp directly.
So here we go!

I don't have much experience with AOSP source code but I would help you as good as possible.
If you give me some instructions or ask some questions I could help you out a bit, just let me know!

Umm, the problem is that, that there is no guide for editing the cm source to make it run aosp, nevertheless we will make it boot no probs. Logcat will help. @k2wl you had a semibooting caf build or something?

Maybe we can try this method : http://xda-university.com/as-a-developer/porting-aosp-roms-using-source-code ?
Edit: forgot there is no source code for OOS. Shame on me.
@regalstreak i've wrote to you on telegram, check this out
@regalstreak you can't have a caf free build since kernel and blobs of oneplus2 (oxygenos and hydrogenos) are based on caf

sure of course you can i already did it while cyanogenmod 13 was not yet booting.. the only thing is that you will have to modify tons of things into the device tree and tons of things into the aosp code to make hardware to work.. the only things that will work without modifications will be wifi and bluetooth.. maybe audio too but i'm not sure about that

I have some experience with git (because I am developing a browser which is on github) and I can download and edit sources, but I am a very beginner in C/C++ so don't expect me to do much, but I can try to help you anyways if possible.

AFAIK First of all you need to install JDK, a toolchain, git etc. and then you can clone the repos and start modifying them and compile them using breakfast and lunch or similar.
Guys keep calm! I have an alpha ROM based on CAF/AOSP that is booting, something is broken, but I will share sources with regal and we will try to make it stable

Finally, i was trying to compile omni rom but kept getting errors. It was too much work. Way beyond my capabilities and even if i tried it would have taken me months to even make any sort of build. Bootable was not even in the equation. So i dropped it.
Will definitely try to compile omni again once we have AOSP build.

I know, is an huge work, I've spent a lot of time on this to get it compile and boot
This seems to be based on AOSP CAF, and Exodus 6.0 OP2 is also AOSP based.

[Request ROMs] Device tree Honor 7 published - Will there be ROM development?

Good evening everybody!
The developer @papsi177 managed to bring us the device tree for our Honor 7 and a future release of Cyanogenmod for our device. So with this foundation will there be devs who will try to port other ROMs to our device or is the ROM development already dead for the Honor 7? It would be great if someone who is involved in ROM development for Honor 7 could tell about what's going on. Thanks guys!
Have great day :good:
wow, if we have the device tree, all you need is developers to come forware , thats all
Hopefully miui romu is also created by developers shared device tree needed
Have a look at:

rom will of course be in initial stages.. problems happen , and will be solved with time being
That's the thing, this developer of this ROM has stated that he will not update this ROM any longer. Makes you wonder if anyone should install this ROM at this current state now.

Rom is more as stable! It is working greate. But you must have PLK-L01 version and properly installations. If you have other Honor 7 modifications, it will not wonder me when will get any not working features...I wrote about that very clear..

Is there anyone else interested?

people that doesn't like android
I also want to use.
I would like to test Sailfish OS. Are there any interested developer?
+1
Tried it on Redmi 1S, was great experience, but no support for android apps.
If it comes for POCO, hoping it will support android apps.
To use Android apps we have to use licensed SO with a cost of 50$. Anyway, we would get unofficial port...
any interested developer?
I want this rom for POCO F1
Please give link sailfish os for POCO F1:crying:

I wondered how long it would be before someone posts something like this.
You can clearly see it's being worked on from the rom section with a lineage ROM so be patient. They will arrive if and when ready.
