[ROM][CM13][6.0.1_r10][CAF][UBERTC-5.3][O3 & Graphite]Arctic - ONE Android Development

Arctic
Arctic ROM focuses on stability and performance, without compromising battery life.
Arctic is a highly optimized ROM based on the CM13 nightlies, the kernel is based off SultanXDA's CAF kernel source.
It is actively being developed and more features will be added, as users request them. I decided to go for a minimalistic approach , keeping the ROM clean and simple, yet containing various important and useful features.
Features
O3 optimizations
Graphite optimizations
Compiled with UBERTC-5.3
Voltage control
Fast charge
SuperSU indicator switch
Built-in root (activate in advanced settings)
Quick unlock
All cm13 nightlies features (including the experimental multi-window feature under advanced settings)
Comes with AdAway application
OTA (available from version 1.0.1, you'll have to perform a clean flash from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1)
Kernel based on SultanXDA's caf kernel, check out all the features here (removed the underclock)
Marshmallow bootanimition
Multirom support
Additional cpu governors
Additional hotplugs
Additional I/O schedulers

I haven't experienced any random reboots at all during testing, except when I was trying how low I could push my undervolt (which is normal, because not every chip will run at the same voltage as others). If you experience any, please let me know and provide details. I'll then look further into it.

Do you mean the OTA or multirom because the kexec hardboot patch has been applied and you should be able to use multirom now.

@Karel VH thx for your hard work! One question: in OP you say that your kernel is based on the kernel by Sultanxda. If I understand you correctly, you made him some change? Or is the original kernel by Sultanxda?
UPD: There is one suggestion - why do not you add in your ROM Snapdragon Camera?

I modified it and snapdragon camera is included in the ROM. (it's just called camera, but it's the default one)

You rock mate! :victory:
@Karel VH first bug - application MyAndroidTools Pro crash when open. (On CM13 official & Sultan"s ROM this app works fine)

@karelvh What other customizations it has? What about GPS in high accuracy mode?
Toast icon badge switch?

@karelvh looks promising and pretty stable. Could you please a switch for toast icon.?

Solid ROM!! Thank you for the hard work.Looking forward to the updates.

Nice! Another rom, i will try this out asap!
Does this rom have f2fs because Sultans cm13 doesnt have it
And you could change userdebug to user, jgcaap did that with some tweaks so you could have root. It should give the rom a nice performance boost.

[KERNEL][v500][5.x] RedKernel [12/07]

This kernel is based on 5.0.x CM12 source so it's compatible with almost all AOSP Based roms.
FEATURES:
4.4.2 base
Anykernel script with loki support by @aicjofs and @ckret
Bumped with livebump script by @Skin1980
Built with Linaro Cortex-A15 4.9 UBER TC
Userspace voltage control by @faux123
Dynamic FSYNC by @faux123
FauxSound by @faux123
hotplug: msm_mpdecision by @show-p1984 (default) and mako_hotplug by @franciscofranco
Intellithermal by @faux123
Default ondemand governor with optimizations by @stratosk
Conservative governor with optimizations by @franciscofranco
Intelliactive governor by @faux123
This kernel works better with 4.4.2 base, if you have problems with brightness you need to use 4.4.2 base files from this thread.
I recommend Synapse + UKM to change the kernel settings.

This is my score with antutu. The highest score I have had before this was about 22000. So this is really great! I know that benchmarks doesn't prove how good a kernel really works. But it still show how it performs.

You should be able to just flash the new kernel as they both use any kernel zip. I did and it's working great
This kernel is excellent. Fast, fluid and plenty of options to tweak with Synapse.

What he said.. Great kernel! Thanks!
The brightness is stronger ?
Have found a reboot is necessary to stabilize the brightness control. Other than that all is better than any I've tested. See nothing bad.
Great job!

I have tested your kernel and all i can say is "A work very well done"
So i need permissions to use it on Slim builds if possible.

stock kernel doesn't support init.d script,so if you want to exec init.d you should follow this step:
1. create /system/etc/init.d 755 use twrp
2. flash kernel
3. enable "Emulate Init.d" by kernel Adiutor

What kernel is much better ???
@army9000 I don't think USB fast charge is working.
Also, which app would you suggest to be used to change kernel settings like change the governor's and all.
I tried kernel adiutor , works decently.
Battery life has improved but I haven't seen so much improvement in performance. Scored 29785 with stock kernel and 32255 with your kernel on antutu.
Hello army9000!
Currently I'm using Vitataf's modded stock Rom. IHO, the best Rom ever for X1.
But after I tried this kernel, the Rom lost some features, like native adblock.
Is it possible to use your kernel and keep the original features of the Rom?
And hey! Thanks for your work and time, keeping the development of our beloved device up!

Chill, dude.
As I said before, adblock is a feature of the modified stock ROM, not a different kernel.
And obviously, if I had that knowledge, I wouldn't ask if it is possible.
But thanks any way!

If adblock function is in kernel, that's impossible; If it doesn't,you can try a factory reset.
Flashed today. Feels very smooth and fast.
@army9000 Just want to know if you're gonna discontinue the other one lollipop stock kernel.
IMO R3 still the best in battery & performance. Although, currently I'm still using and testing this kernel too.

In my opinion this Kernel runs smoother AND ist better in Power management.
Does anyone else have the Problem that 3G is sometimes mit working, only edge? After reboot it connects to 3G!
Also WLAN sometimes is connected but every App says offline. Same as above: reboot and everything works fine.

Aero Kernel is a kernel for the Nexus 6. I am aiming for stability, smoothness, and slimness, while retaining a few select features I can't do without. I try to keep a stock-like source, and mostly just cherry-pick in features and fixes from the great developers of XDA that I deem necessary over stock. I will be maintaining 3 branches: Stable built by Uber Toolchains, Beta Built by Uber Toolchains, and Stable built by Uber Linaro Toolchains. To find the differences, please do your own research of the two, but the only major difference is the toolchain that the kernel is compiled with, the different versions have all the same features. Some just find one or the other better so I provide you with both options. Special thanks to @The Flash for his upstream source I used and his help. Also thanks to all the other amazing devs from which I cherry-picked from. Note that this is not in any way affiliated with any kernel control app (there is an "Aero Kernel Control", I have no affiliation with it or the respective dev whatsoever.)
Disclaimer:
I am not liable nor responsible for unusable and/or broken devices due to flashing my kernel. You are fully responsible for what you install on your device, including my kernel.

Its not implemented yet, i had lots of errors when i put it in . Once i get it working it will first be in a beta, then stable. And msm sleeper defaults at 4 cores during suspend, i can change this but it can easily be changed via kernel auditor mod or any kernel control app.

Ironactive is just interactive with the upstream CAF patches, which most kernels add anyways because they improve the governor quite a bit. No point to have two governors that do the same thing lol.

Possibly add sweep to wake from your other Kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4-play/development/kernel-srfarias-kernel-harpia-t3849015.
BTW, Whats the main difference between both of them except s2w and features not listed on the kernel page.
Great kernel, have a little bug fm radio not work on stock ROM, overclock Is perfect !!!!!
Labest BR
Great Kernel, but how can I enable the notification LED ??:confuso:
Se reinicia en Nougat, alguna solución?

No, dear mate, according to the OP: is only compatible with Nougat.
Pie ROMs have a better kernel implemented and it is Not neccesary to install another. Also, if you want to report a bug (for example in AOSPExt Pie ROM) you will be rejected because you are using other Kernel than the default (better) of the ROM
By the way jaja Do you really want to use a kernel that says: "Feak"???
Feak:
Slang for fecal matter, ass residue, small granules of sh1t, or the small invisible smelly fecal matter on your hands after a dump. You can't see it but you can smell it.

Still can't find though about nougat but yeah you are right as it wasn't been developed for oreo yet, so definitely not for pie.
I agree pie roms comes with better kernel, but it's just they don't provide hotplugs and some more features like dtw etc. that's why I was looking for a custom kernel.

About dt2w & s2w
Hi all! Here i'll talk about Wake Gestures (DT2W & S2W)
removed until they are stable
In the future
Be free to request features for the kernel, i'll try to add everything possible.
My "plan" for this project it's first of all to bring a STABLE kernel. And yes, i'll make a Oreo compatible version (maybe, tomorrow )

Thanks for this release bro Is there any possibility to implement the latest Linux Kernel Version?? Or at least Version 4?? Thanks !
you could add some hotplug. From what I understand are different ways of managing starts and stops of nuclei. But not many intelligent hotplug etc. Very Thanks

Hi, @srfarias, awesome job! Thanks.
Could you change /sys/class/power_supply/battery/voltage_max permissions from 444 to 644?
This must be done at kernel level. Using chmod doesn't work.
I'm unsure as to were to look at on the source code.
...drivers/power/ perhaps?
Unfortunately, I cannot try that myself due to extremely limited data plans.
Limiting max charging voltage extends battery lifespan.
why on earth is everyone building nougat kernels? is this the twilight zone or something? can't we just get one updated oreo kernel, please???

Because that's what the developer wanted to do.
I am quite happy on Nougat as Oreo brings nothing new to the table. Maybe Pie will leave a better taste.
To each his own; don't be critical of others efforts if they do not satisfy your interests. Well...unless the dev is on your payroll.

Exactly, devs are working hard on pie developments. We've a bootable ROM with much of the things working! Keep calm and wait for Pie guys!
Please Add hotplug options, temperature controls of the somefeak kernel, and the adreno idler doesn't appear on kernel adiutor

About Oreo
I don't release a Oreo kernel version.. Oreo/Pie it's on a development status.
Last week i make my own Pie and Oreo LOS to build and working on kernel for these versions but i'll don't release it until squid or any dev release a daily use OREO/PIE rom
@srfarias, thanks for the update. Do you know a way to change /sys/class/power_supply/battery/voltage_max permissions to 644 permanently (on a kernel level)?
Running <chmod> changes the mode, but I still have no write permission over that file.

Keep up the great work
Really love the work on Nougat since it's still the most stable Android version for harpia. It just sucks that the 2 best Nougat ROMs (RR and AOSP Extended) are using outdated camera drivers so they don't fully work with this kernel. Is there any workaround? I would really love to keep using RR while using this kernel if at all possible
Srfarias Kernel 13/10 - R1
Changelog R1
Stable Release
TCP tweaks (cubic optimized)
Improve kgsl

BackLight Dimmer option
Optimized Integer SQRT
