Hi,
I am new to Samsung galaxy phones . I have used nexus series ,moto series but currently stuck with a galaxy s3 ( my sisters old phone ) .
Now it is a hong kong model .
AP : I9300ZSALED
CP : I9300XXLEF
CSC: I9300OZSALED
OS version : 4.0.4 (rooted)
Recovery : TWRP
Problem 1 :
Now if I flash any custom rom (Eg: cyanpop ) the rom boots up fine except it shows " insert sim card , sim card not found " even though there is a sim card present .
Problem 2 :
I downloaded the 4.3 version of the hong kong firmware
Product code : TGY
PDA : I9300ZSUBNB1
CSC : I9300OZSBNB1
from sammobile , file size around 1gb . Now , if I use odin to flash that firmware it gets stuck in " Nand write Start " .
Since i made a backup of the current rom via twrp , I flash the twrp via odin and then restore this current rom . Thus I am stuck in this current rom unable to upgrade .
Problem 3 :
I can try to upgrade via ota but I dont have a copy of the stock recovery . I have stired various links which are present here in xda but most of them are very old links and are broken . It will be really helpful if anyone can provide me a stock recovery copy .

I have installed Kies but havent downloaded the firmware upgrade that is available for download but I think its the same file ...
Let Kies install the firmware

few questions to ask the experts ...
1: am i on the latest Stock Korean Firmware ? 2: can i flash any official/stock Firmware of GT-i9100 using Odin ? like using the .pit file then the PDA then the phone and modem ... all together 4 files ? 3: after that ... can i ROOT my phone normally ? i mean like standard procedure ? i mean using Odin or other methods like superoneclick or CWM etc ?
if i flash stock firmware of GT-i9100 via Odin ... and root it ... do i still face that boot loop problem ? and then have to install the original stock korean KERNEL ??
since there is no chance that i would be using my phone in korea .. so is it fine to have a stock firmware of i9100 ??
and after root .. can i install KERNELs of my own choice .. for e.g semaphone , speedmod , galaxian etc etc ???

and then i will root it ...
which custom KERNEL would be best ? semaphone ? or any other ???
ur recommendation is needed ...

As I know, If the device is recognized by KIES it is an original version of the phone. but there are devices that somebody has flashed a ROM in to the device. In that case it will show the IMEI and Model number as the name that created by the ROM Devoloper. so remove the batery and try to locate the model no (IMAGE 01)
then download the Stock and Flash it via ODIN

Hi Every Body , I currently have following cell phone s5830i.
PDA: S5830ijPLA2
PHONE: S5830iXXLA1
CSC: S5830iOjPLA3
PDA:LA2 / PHONE:LA1 / CSC:LA3 (PAK)
1. After searching for hours could not find stock rom for it , on kies it is not available neither on Sammobile . For some reason I need to flash it .
2. Can somebody provide me a link for the above mentioned stock.? would be very thankfull
3. If not available can i some how change the above rom with any other stock rom ?? specific guidance would be appreciated ( guidance in respect of name of stock rom not method of flashing.)
4. Recently i partitioned my SD card primary and active as fat32 and another primary as ext2 for link2sd. and opting for auto link. However after that I am facing following problems may be ext2 could not be the reason or may be it is.
a. after connecting to USB phone seems not to be working correct for e.g dialer was not dialing the number i wanted to dial aftere pressing 2 it wrote 8 etc and other problems too.
At last Providing me a link for the above stock would be very appreciated or an alternate name of stock.

Yes This is what I am saying the my country's firmware is not available on sammobile or any where else and that's why i posted all the details to request an alternate solution, how ever i flashed a UK latest firmware and it seems to be working fine till now. After flashing build version changed but in Kies it still shows (PAK) why is that so i used odin 3.07 based on the tut in an other thread.

Hello! I broked my phone wi-fi/data network connection (IDK how possible) Anyway so I did a factory reset and to my surprise it didn't make it just like when stock (It's still rooted , android market doesn't work , even if network somehow works now ) .
So I tried to flash a twrp and flash a custom rom for a device with mt6572 and i broke the recovery (now it doesn't boot in recovery anymore , only white screen & reboot normal )
And what i request : Any stock vodafone v785 firmware (I couldn't find on internet) that's flashable via SP Flash tool , or a twrp/cwm that works on mt6572 .

If yoyu didn't make a backup you are kinda out of luck as stock roms for these device are never released as they ate not official Android version but hacked together versions. I would search china based sites where more people use cheap knock offs

hello guys i'm relay confused i bought s6 edge was working good making calls .. but the problem is the os is 5.01 too old . so i downloaded 7.0 os from sammobile .
i tired to flashed it with Odin but all the time i get fail message :crying:
after the flash field and when i log in to download mode the model number now is sm-g925x a live demo unit .
i found some help reading Threads here and i found a ORIGINAL STOCK ANDROID 5.1.1 LDU FIRMWARE . i want to flash it with odin .
my question is can I make calls and use mobile data after flashing this ORIGINAL FIRMWARE.
i have the phone imei and SR number and the phone is from UK

Why are you flashing firmware for an LDU? Is your s6 an LDU? If not then don't flash them....
Search your model number in www.updato.com to find the correct firmwares.

I TRIED A LOT OF SM-G925F firmware BUT I KEEP GETTING FAIL IN ODIN AND WHEN I'M IN DOWNLOAD MODE I SEE MY PHONE MODEL SM-G925X AND IN THE SAMSUNG LOGO THERE IS LIVE DEMO UNITE . I FLASHED THE LDU firmware AND IM NOW WITH ANDROID 5.1.1
