Lenovo ZUK Z1 White with Oak Backside - How to convert or separate seller? - Zuk Z1 Accessories

Has anybody an idea, if it possible to mix a black/grey Zuk Z1 with this Oak backside from the white version? http://www.mobilegeeks.de/news/zuk-z1-smartphone-eiche/

I don't think so, the back cover is attached.

Yes it is possible as the back cover is only held in place by double sided tape and plastic clips.
So, using the right tools you could pop them off and swap them.
But would you really buy the phone twice just to get the black front mixed with the wooden back?
(I myself have the wooden version.)

I'm about to head out for groceries.
I will post some once I'm back.

@I wouldn't buy a new one but as my first ZUK Z1 died after 4 weeks I expect to have a lot of broken ZUK Z1 in the future which should work as spare part deliverer. I'm also interessted in real pictures of the back cover.

Haha, yeah. I'm sorry I forgot about this completely with all the work going into the Z1 ROM and my regular job.
I will get back to it asap.

2 . This version is a two piece that clicks together
What version would you go for, and why?

Does anyone have some experience how much such a metal bumper would affect the signal strength?!

I had one on my galaxy mega 6.3 and it did effect signal strength noticeably, I would say about a 20% loss. If you are always in very high signal strength areas this may not be a big deal, but at home I am usually 1 to 2 bars and with the case it was 0 to 1.
Thanks guys, I've ordered option 1

Heard it scratches the phone itself
I bot the 1st ver. Adds quite a fair bit of width to the phone which affected the handling and I was concerned with it scratching the phone rather than protecting it. Dumped it after 2 days of usage....

Xperia U TUT create Stylus

Hi
I found some methods how to create stylus for capacitive screen. Now i show you one of them.
What we need:
- AAA Battery
- once usable pen
- spring from pen
- conductive material (wet cloth)
- Electrician's tape
Procedure:
- remove from pen refill
- cut the pen 4 cm from the beginning
- cut from cloth 3x3 cm
- 3x3cm square take to cuted pen (must be same as picture )
- now take spring to cuted pen too
- take battery and attach it to cuted pen with spring inside using tape. ( negative site of the battery must be inside )
And you are done. If you don't understand something tell me and I edit this tutorial. Next week I do a video with procedur
Sorry I can't add pictures because i not send 10 posts -_-
That's basically interesting! I would like a video and pictures (I know you can't yet). Faking a change in the electric charge of the screen using the electric field created by the battery (if I'm right) really nice idea
I created it here is the photo https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xfz9l8hnmi7lwf/IMG_20140105_131404.jpg . It not look much good but working .
Any video tutorial sir??? I reeeeaaaalyy courious about ur work...
I can record and upload video. But i can not share link here. So if TheAmazingCraft can record video with tutorial i will be very happy
Sure i can tomrrow is video here

About the conductive material...if we use cloth it has to be wet to work every time?
Στάλθηκε από το Xperia U μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk
Yes cloth must be wet but this is not big problem. If cloth dry only what you need is immerse the stylus into the water for 1 minutes but batery must be up the water.

[Q] Is your Xperia Z Ultra magnetic?

I put my Ultra down on my console where I happened to have two loose staples lying from a package I'd opened earlier.
When I picked it up, the staples were magnetically attached to the bottom right corner of the phone - around where the speaker is.
Has anyone else noticed the phone having magnetic properties?
Speakers have magnets in them. This phone is just thin enough and the staples just light enough that they stick. No biggie.
Sent from my Xperia Z Ultra using Tapatalk
Fun fact (not really): Phones that support wireless charging uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between two objects, so they have magnets under the back cover. Not a lot of people (Nexus 5 owners for example) are aware of this, so they get surprised when things "sticks" to the back.

That is probably why @hamdogg has so many issues with his Ultra, he must have a knock-off

[REVIEW] Wawo Case Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P9000

Just bought this case for the Note Pro, I really like it. It may be on a sale now but it was just $13 which seems like a really good deal.
The case is faux leather with micro-suede interior. The pockets on the inside are mainly useless but otherwise I really like the case. Images are below.

When folded it makes a great stand and it stays put while typing.

I'm waiting for mine to come in it cost me about the same with shipping.
I feel like I literally have the exact same case, except it's made by Aerb:

I paid 5.88 for it, although it is up to 8.99 now. And I'm loving it. I mean seriously. Look at the pictures. They are identical...
Just order it yesterday. Thanks for the feedback. I just got it for the cheap price and I am trying to save to get the logitech pro case because this beast needs a keyboard

Does the case provide enough support to stand the tablet up in portrait mode?

If on a flat surface, if you have it in the folded position, it is front heavy and does not work. You can open the case and sit it vertically like the attached photo.

The problem with these cases is that they feel really, really cheap. That mars the experience of having a nice tablet.

ROG Phone 3 cases on ROG Phone 2

I'm aware of the list of supported accessories published by Asus. However, I'm curious to find out if the ROG Phone 3 cases like the Aero Neon case or the new RGB Lighting case will work with the ROG Phone 2 - can't seem to find anyone who has experimented with this. The dimensions between the two phones are slightly different, but I'd like to confirm with someone who has actually tried it out. I'm quite keen on picking up the ROG Phone 3 Aero Neon case for my ROG Phone 2.
really good question, hope that someone try fit a rog 3 case on rog 2, thanks
I also want to know these
I think that probably fits good. Only diference on sizes its 0.5mm
All sizes is the same

Hey, i am using it and it fits ok to my rog phone 2 but it feels bit more tight compare to original black aero case. Also blocks vent holes at the back, i am not sure if it really matters but i am happy with look
