Got the Q and the Q freezes up on me - Fossil Q Founder

I tried the Q on the in the NY store and was sold the moment i put in on. But now that i start to play around with it I'm experiencing some issue's. First and foremost is that I installed a new watch-face (world-timer) to add timezone support and it seems to freeze every now and then after that. How can i troubleshoot watch freezes and how can i uninstall the watch-face ? - i really want this to work.

Remove it from android wear

To uninstall a watch face find it in your phone's apps and select uninstall just like you would for any other app.
The Founder and Tag are the only Intel Wear devices out right now so there are some compatibility issues with certain apps and faces. I'm not sure if this is the case but keep it in mind.

Are you using the 1st Gen FossilQ Founder? (None swappable wrist bands)
What build number are you on? (Settings -> About -> Build number)
I believe the latest is M1D65G with Android wear 1.5.0.3686357 with Android version being 6.0.1.
If you're not on the latest then updating should help with the lag issues as when I first got this watch it lagged a lot but after many updates it has gotten better!
Hopefully we get Android Wear 2.0 as now the new Fossil watches have snapdragon processors and this version has the Intel Atom chip.

Sync to Phone without Android wear

Hello!
So, I am having a big, big problem. I flashed too many ROMS until now, but on all of them I have same problem: the battery drains too quickly and that is because of Bluetooth which is all the time switched on and so, the android wear app which is listening.
And I need this. Because that's why I bought the watch.
I want to have 1 day of battery for watch and for phone. That's all. And with bluetooth and data enabled for the whole day...
I want to get rid of Android WEAR. And to have other apps that send the notifications to the watch.
Can I have this? Or I'm stuck with Wear?
Thank you....
Other details:
Phone: Lg g4 H815, Resurrection remix 5.7.4 build from 23.10.2016
Smartwatch: Moto 360 2nd edition = bought 1 month ago
ANdroid Wear: 1.5.0.3129099
Google play services: 9.8.77
ANdroid OS: 6.0.1
Reply to my own post:
It is NOT possible. You have to use Android Wear App so that it sends the notifications and other data to your watch.
THere is still a hope from the microG project... but there is a long way until then... (https://microg.org/)
Wait until Android Wear 2.0

And then? Android Wear 2.0 is different at this subject (meaning functioning without Android Wear app, Google Play services etc) ?

AFAIK you can consider the watch as another device,
Notification will send directly to the watch via WiFi or Bluetooth
But most importantly, it still need your phone if there isn't WiFi and the phone will keep awake
You better buy LG watch as it has LTE support if you really concern about the battery…

Google Feed in watch shows only weather

Dear all,
I have a Fossil Q Founder 2.0 since yesterday, running Android Wear 2.0. Basically, I am quite happy. But I am a fan of the Google news feed on my Nexus 5x (running Android 8.0 "Oreo"), ans as far as I know, the watch should display some (or even all) of the content, e.g. weather, traffic and upcoming appointments. But the Google app in the watch ("My Feed") only gives me a single tile that reports the current weather - that's it.
I did a Google search to find a solution and followed the most common steps to resolve issues:
I tried to reset the watch to factory settings. I re-installed the Google app on the watch and deleted its data and cache.
I even deleted the cache of the Google Play Services and of the Google app on my phone, and I re-installed the Android Wear app on the phone.
I tried to use the stable as well as the "beta" Google app on the phone.
All software is up-to-date both on my phone as well as on the watch.
Nothing helps - I still get only the weather tile. Maybe it is related to Oreo on my phone?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tobias
I have been also trying to figure this out anybody out there have a solution?
My Q Founder 2 gen updated to Oreo https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=74863033
today and only weather in feeds stay there...
It's the same on the Gen 3 Fossil Q Explorist

android phone watch xgpax S99C

hello,
i got xgpax S99C from dx.com and i realize this watches have full android 5.1.1 and are not WEAR OS so i was searching on the google something about them and i realize full google always find only wear OS and answers on it but this is not wear OS so when i get some app from play store are not optimized for circle display and i have option change view for square but is smaller and my question is:
exist some app for me to be able for example scroll aplication to middle of my display and then i will be able to use menu or buttons on the edges of application ? i cant find any apps. all i found was clockfaces for some KW88 and this works also on my watches
- another question: im looking for some app to monitor my heart rate and sync with google fit. watches have heart monitor but no other options to link with google fit and i cant find working alternative for watches
if i will be able fix this somehow on this smart device i will be happy but until now ...i realize some expensive wear OS, tyzen or another OS watches are mutch better and i recommend to take them instead of this cheap S99C

Can Someone Help me Get a Couple of Newer Apps Onto an Older Tablet?

So the goal here is to have a tablet in our home gym that I can cast music to a nearby receiver and to have a timer displayed. The device in question is an ancient Xelio tablet and I believe the model to be P900BK if that's of any use. It's currently running Android 4.0.4 and doesn't come stock with the Android Google Play App Store although it has Slide Me and I partially side loaded the Play Store but most of the newer apps I'm trying to install fail some form of validation that occurs in the background whenever I try to run them. I found an APK for Google Play Music that was compatible (I think) with Android 4.0.4 and casting wasn't an option then so it wasn't there.
In a perfect world I'd be able to install Google Play Music (Now has to be YouTube Music though I suppose) and this app here: Hero Timer - WOD Timer Crossfit and HIIT Since it's free and easy to see like the timers most gyms use. I could also use Flex Timer or something else but most all I would want to use for ease of viewing from a distance don't appear to be compatible. The Slide Me app store has nothing of any use that I can find.
I guess the easiest solution would be to find 2 apps in the Slide Me app store that stream music via Chromecast and one that's a good timer that allows for intervals and is large enough to see from a distance on a smaller tablet but as of now I can't seem to find anything that fits that bill. My guess is I won't either on the former due to Google locking that streaming feature down and the latter is mostly trash from what I can tell.
So, any thoughts on this? I'd rather not invest a boat load of time into rooting and potentially bricking this device if I can avoid it but if it's the only option I guess I don't mind. I'd just have to wait until I can carve out enough time to do this which may not be right away. If I do explore this option, one of my concerns is hardware. I'm not sure the ancient hardware this device sports can handle much in terms of ROMs or latest whiz-bang apps or features.
I'm not sure it even has the guts to do what I'm asking but I was hoping someone here who knew the answer could offer up some solutions as I've been out of the custom Android device game for a number of years now.
Thoughts?
This low-end tablet was released 2013-07-09. It runs on Android IceCream. You only can install and run apps on it what are compatible with this Android version.

Right after you finished typing that and you read it back to yourself did you think "Yeah, he'll find this useful" before you clicked submit?

Developing Wear OS apps for Ticwatch GTX

Hi there, I just recently bought a Ticwatch GTX, thinking it was installed with Wear OS, but turns out it was installed with a proprietary OS made by Mobvoi (I know... I'm really not careful). The reason why I bought the watch in the first place was to create Wear OS apps with it, but after buying it, I can't even find out how to enable ADB debugging... I've tried clicking each item listed in the Settings page (there is no Build number) 10 times, and none of them triggered a response or a toast message. Any help is appreciated.
It's not wear OS. It's a much smaller, simpler system that probably cannot run third party apps.
