Any updates?

There is some development on a pure AOSP ROM over here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/help/aosparadox-onyx-t3300184
Show the developers some love, AOSParadox is the perfect ROM for you Pure AOSP and heavily optimized

yes indeed there is some progress!
well, the aosp base works flawlessly, now i will modify some stuff to optimize it further more for onyx!
Features:
- Ultra-Power-Saving
- System-wide Dark Mode (like in the developer preview)
- Multiwindow support
- (all of these features can be enabled via settings -> info, like developer options, as i like to keep these features hidden and optional to the user)

Nice, hope it's coming soon
Just out of curiosity, what's the name of the ROM?
Perhaps we could look it up on other device forums and see reviews.

There' are already aosp based roms for oneplus x out there just they are not on xda. Like tipsy, tesla, orion, broken, xenonhd (soon). look at their google plus community for downloads.

I forgotten to wipe when I was testing and there wasn't any problem, so I think yes - you can.
Two questions:
1) Is not available the HALO feature yet? When will it be?
2) What's the difference between ART and Dalvik? Can someone explain which is better?
and I encountered two "bug":
1) in the camera settings, the auto scene and the night scene icons are inverted, just this
2) the same old volume bug (must set the volume at half to work), can it be fixed with the old framework, jar posted by maum in the PAC-man 4.3.1 thread?
Anyway it seems to work smoothly and very well, very great work
Thanks in advance!
It lacks of feautures

Hazy ROM for D855

Hi, everybody!
There is a new kid on the block! It's called Hazy, and it's not a CM derivative, but coming directly from AOSP. It's on a very early state so it's very bare-bone, otherwise it's stable and bug free enough in order to be your daily driver. At this moment it's only available for the international version (D855)
A really promising ROM. My favorite so far. It works perfectly as secondary ROM on @Skin1980 multiboot, with no third party kernel needed.
It worths a trying.
Here you have some screenshots:
You can find it here:
www.hazyrom.net
Current version:
ROM: Hazy 4.1, Alpha 1 (Release data 04/24/2015)
Gapps: Slim_Gapps_Beta_5.1.x.build.0.x-20150430
Download links:
ROM: http://www.hazyrom.net/download/rom/
Gapps: http://www.hazyrom.net/download/gapps/
At this moment, not rooted by default, so you have to flash SuperSU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 (thanks to @Chainfire)
If you have problems you can report it in the bug tracker: https://www.hazyrom.net/tracker/
Please consider a donation if you like Hazy: http://goo.gl/oM1nn6
Enjoy
P.S: I'm not a developer and I'm not pretending to be one. I'm only and Android fan that want to share this amazing ROM with you. All de credits to the Hazy Team: Matteo Lobello, Luca Pensabene, Francesco Colella, Adriano Loiacono, Matteo Munda, Davide Dellai, Salvatore Festa and Giovanni Chelli.

Hi chejofan,
Thank you for bringing us a new ROM. Just a minor mistake from your www.hazyrom.net. Inside the download page of Gapps, the file size of mini version is "659MB" :silly:
And I suggest you make some remark on the thread title to show the Build date/version number.
And perhaps with more explanation of the ROM & Kernel and the difference of the 3 versions Gapps as well.
I am having slow internet connection in China. Still downloading your build, will share my feel later!

As far as I know is based directly on AOSP, so is not a CM (CAF) derivative. However, I think that the current kernel is based on CM. Otherwise the hazy team is developing his own kernel, but at this moment it's only available for the Nexus 5 (Hammerhead). Personally speaking, I see this ROM closer to PA.
Another thing that I can tell you is that you'll never find theme engines is this ROM, so it's focus on simplicity.

It's AOSP and it's in APLHA stage...and this is the first LP based rom that i've booted on my G3. CM Inc. is not what I want. I want AOSP and if I consider that it's ALPHA.....not many features and that.......rom is smooth and nice on my side....and all I can see in future is improvements and more and more features....and you can't really compare CM and HAZY...so....i'm patiently waiting for updates...this one really has a potential to be a good if not best LP rom out there..
thanks for pointing this rom out @chejofan ...maybe you could invite some real hazy team members over to xda if they're not already here

lol, i ask because when cm first came out, there were wifi/quite a few problems..
i'm basically wondering if theres someone who's specifically worked on the d855 device tree.
edit 1;
nevermind, it still doesnt explain my question how i think about it, i'll install this as a secondary rom & have a look.
edit 2;
looking at source, d855 device trees are forked from CM, so that answers my question

Why don't you try flashing the @777jon kernel. My favorite one. There are versions for 16 and 32 GB variants.
Take into account that since this is an Alpha 1 release bugs will be around.

as I just wanna report as pure as Hazy rom is for you. I understand it is a alpha version, so our user report is very important to you . Of coz I have 777 kernel in my storage. anyway, great rom even it is Alpha. really looking for you beta and stable built.
For peeps that are wondering if hazy works whit multirom, the answer is YES. I'm using 777 kernel and love the simplicity of this pure AOSP ROM, actually whitout all the bells and whistle's of other CM baked ROMS is a advantage in my book, so keep it up guys, I digg you
EDIT 07.02:
I'm having weird random bug where I can't pull down notification status bar, it just doesn't let me swipe it down, weird? Anyone else having same bug? Any solution will be much appreciated! I want to continue using the ROM but that's a nasty bug!

Omni is purely CAF based.
CM and "AOSP" roms based on it aren't actually based on AOSP. They are a hybrid of CAF with AOSP patches.

Kernel Does Not Boot on Euphoria 3/05 with 15/05 and 5/05 Firmwares
I just went through his kernel source. It looks like he's using the Moto E kernel source to build for bacon. It's pretty obvious why this doesn't boot.

I installed it but I can get my network working. There's no service. What can I do?
It has the same bug like resurrection. When u play music if u long press music app appearing on status bar it will fc and wait until systemui is restarted. Else all smooth. This problem is only solved in blisspop 4.0.3 but blisspop rom doesnt support YouTube in its browsers and rr and paranoid support youtube.

The latest one was released on May 16th.

Looks like the author of this ROM is pretty active
Thank you Rommel Espinosa for posting this! I just recently acquired a Note II SGH-T889, yet I see the title says this Paranoid Android ROM is for the Note II GT-N7100 - I'm wondering if my device is compatible with this ROM??
As Intruder7s suggested, I went to the G+ page posted at the beginning of this thread. On June 9th, 2016 he has posted a new update:
tilak sidduram - Jun 9, 2016
New update is available.
Note: This is not a Paranoid Android ROM. PA team is not supporting any of these legacy devices any more and they are currently only working on CAF devices.
* Updated from the latest CM sources.
* Updated Device and kernel sources.
* Added a few new Kernel Governors
* Added Animation to the QS tiles. (Flip and Rotate)
* Updates to CM Theme engine
* Many more fixes and enhancements.

Prior to the above quoted post, he (tilak sidduram/the ROM author) is saying his earlier release from 5/15/16 (Intruder7s mentioned) was built using "Android 6.0.1.r43", so I believe the above 6/6/16 post is also running Android 6.0.1 (albeit a newer revision)!
If anyone is aware whether this ROM will support my phone (Note II, SGH-T889) I would love to know, and I'd try it out and post results.

Extensive list of OREO ROMs for Mido

Ok, below is a list of the Oreo ROMs that I have found on this forum (sorted alphabetically).
While it is wonderful to have such a rich variety, the array of choices is bewildering. How does one choose? I guess one should start with the ones that are absolutely rock solid, stable (i.e., everything works as it should - especially things like bluetooth phone calls) and with no serious bugs. Then proceed to features (in terms of leanness versus customisation potential).
I note that most of them are based on AOSP/LOS. I myself would prefer an AOSP-CAF based ROM. Isn't there any that is based on AOSP-CAF?

Yes, I am aware of this. However, that thread is pretty much an "everything including the kitchen sink" affair, that is not restricted to custom Oreo ROMs. It already has more than 300 posts, and most of them are not about Oreo, or even about ROMs. It is easy to get completely lost, which is why this one is closely targeted. I hope that is okay.
I guess omni and cosmic should fit the bill. Omni is close to aosp, similar to slim, a rom that we both prefer. I'm going to use omni and see how it fares.

Thanks. I note that Omni is still fixing some things (although it has now been moved to STABLE). I absolutely need bluetooth car audio, so I think I will wait and see. It seems that Cosmic also still has some issues (especially with battery performance).

BT seems to be working fine, tested on BT headphones. Call quality can be better. I will test more with car BT on my way to work tomorrow.
Edit: I've flashed omni for now

I played music through BT on my car stereo. It was working perfectly fine.
I'll test calls and report in some time.
Edit: calls are working fine. Even with viper arise installed, I had no issues.

That is a misnomer. Multirom is multirom, that has multirom twrp and you can boot multiple roms ,That miui multirom is multi language ROM based on miui. If you search multirom in XDA it shows ......

All over XDA that is called multirom not multiboot.
Xiaomi phone owners only refer a miui ROM as multirom and original multirom as multiboot.

I understand what you're referring to and am sure you also know where I'm coming from. The confusion started because a reference was made without enough clarification. OP responded in the context of the thread, which was fair.
We're hijacking the thread with an off topic discussion. Best let's take it elsewhere, maybe the dual boot patcher thread would be the right place.

Many thanks. As @zenjedi has said, can we please get back to talking about Oreo ROMs for Mido? Thanks all.
I really have hard choice on choosing between these 3 - aex, liquid, cardinal. Now I'm on aex nougat and absolutely satisfied. I think it will be aex again.
