I bought the $2 greenify through the app, reset, and now cant access donation package - Greenify

So on the 16th Jan, I bought the $2 donation package which cost me £1.24 in UK. I reset my phone today, reinstalled greenify and now cant get the donation package features. It shows in my play account history, but I cannot get them at all. When I click donate, it takes me to the play store to buy the £1.99 donation package again. I also dont have the donation thing on the greenify homepage anymore either.
What do I do? (here is proof of purchase) http://prntscr.com/9tuxlt
Thanks

Have you downloaded the donation package? If not go to Play Store and download it. Then open Greenify and the donation will be recognised.
If it doesn't work, leave the donation package on the phone and uninstall Greenify and then reinstall it.

Try a reboot in conjunction with the above; often resolves registration weirdness.

Google Play Store donation package not working

The previous Google Play-related thread has been closed, so I'm starting this one.
I had purchased the donation package from within version 2.4.3 a week ago... then a day or two later, I wiped my phone and put a new ROM on. When I restored Greenify and the Donation Package from Titanium Backup, I realized that the Donation features were not active. The app said I had donated, but when I attempted to activate any of the donation features, it prompted me to go to the play store or amazon app store. When I went to the play store... the donation package was installed already.
Through several combinations of uninstalling/rebooting/reinstalling the app and the donation package... as well as combinations of wiping data/cache of greenify, the donation package, the play store, and play store services... as well as deleting the packages.xml file and rebooting (a suggestion from another thread)... NOTHING WORKED. I was ready to request a refund, since I was still within 7 days (Oasis's policy). I intended to repurchase the donation package to try to fix whatever was broken with my purchase.
Out of desperation, I checked the "Amazon donation package not working" thread for solutions... and successfully got it working again.
Here's what I did:
Uninstalled both greenify and the donation package
Installed the Amazon version (previous version) from the G+ post, it said I wasn't entitled to use the donation features... so I opened the play store, and installed the donation package. At this point, the donation features worked.
Opened the play store again, and updated greenify within the play store. (Current version - I didn't use the version from the G+ post) The donation features still worked.
(BONUS)Restored app data only using Titanium Backup, and restarted, and it still works... for now. <--- this restored my extensive app list so that I didn't have to re-greenify everything.
*** Do not backup/restore the donation package. It will do you more harm than good.
I have not requested a refund, because I don't want the donation package to be taken away from me while it's working. However, if it stops abruptly again like it did before, I will request a refund and attempt to re-purchase it to try to circumvent the issue.
If anyone else has been having the same issue... I hope this helps.
I'm not subscribing to this thread, but I will get notified if I'm quoted. Or, PM me if you think I can help.

Can't purchase Amazon IAP donation package

I installed Greenify from the Google Play store.
From within the app, i tried to purchase the IAP donation package from Amazon.
I get the error message:
"Please install Amazon Appstore first."
Then, it opens the Amazon Appstore app, which is already installed and signed in on my device.
Follow-up:
I uninstalled Greenify from Google Play and installed it from Amazon. Then I purchased the donation IAP from Amazon. Then I updated Greenify with Google Play. This caused Greenify to lose donation status. I thought this would work because of this post: https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z13ezz2pule4h3nm423pfn0h2wrvib4y204
Unfortunately, nothing I try will make the Google Play Greenify work with the Amazon IAP I purchased.

I am also experiencing the exact same issue (VZW Note 4).
I have had some issues in the past and I could solve them by following these steps:
From the Settings / Applications manager
- clean Greenify data
- clean Amazon Appstore data
- uninstall Greenify
- re-authenticate in Amazzon Appstore
- download Greenefy from Amazon Appstore
- open Greenefy and use the "About" menu
If you see "Thanks for donation", you can try to update Greenify from the Google Play store and hopefully your donation will be carried forward.
If you do not see the "Thanks message" but something like "Purchase donation pkg." then you should not update because the donation is not recognized and sure will not be in the updated version as well...
In this second case you can try to repeat clean data for both Amazon and Greenify a couple of times.
Make sure you have internet connection while you open the "About* menu in Greenify.
Hope this can help.

I swear I tried those steps twice over before posting. But in the interest of being through, I tried them again. This time it worked, so either something changed, or i made a fool of myself twice in a row.
Either way, thank you! <3

Amazon donation package still not fixed. The workaround package posted on google plus doesn't work anymore. When installed the Greenify 2.4.3 Amazon package and run it, it says "Thank you for donation" when upgrade using Google Play store, it says you have to Donate!
Right now I am forced to use a cracked version of 2.5.2, and works fine. I feel bad, but there is nothing can be done since this issue has been for over 4 months and still not fixed!

How to buy "Donation Package" without Google?

Hi!
I want to purchase the Greenify license. I have no GAPPS and I don't want to install them. For example, I purchased the licenses XPrivacy and IM+ from their authors through PayPal. Can i purchase the license for Greenify through PayPal, Visa or WebMoney(WMZ)?
a same question here, greenify is the most important app for me, without this, my HTC One E8 lasts less then 1 day with normal usage.
I am a Chinese user, I don't want GAPPS, but I want to buy greenify, what shall I do?

You must have some Android won't function without some, like playstore manager and others. I've the bare minimum myself but as they have moved parts of the OS into the app store it means that you need some Gapps to function. They do this so they can keep the code secret if it's *an app *. So much for being an open OS.
I hope that this happens, I'm about to remove Gapps from my phone and I've purchased the donation package.
It hurts to say this, but I probably have to pirate new Greenify releases after after removing propriety Google software from my phone.
greenify add on after factory reset
I had to factory reset due to my own ineptitude with the homescreen mixup I created (
When getting the greenify app back I had to pay AGAIN for the add-ons I previously bought.
Obviously there is no limits of my newcomer ineptitude.

If you had logged in to Play Store with the same account through which you purchased earlier, it would have recognised your earlier purchase and you need not have paid again.

Amazon Appstore's apps are updated very rarely, I doubt that Greenify has the latest version either. I've removed the application from my phone entirely.

In theory atleast, you can update the Amazon downloaded/purchased Greenify on Play Store. Some people have reported issues with this process and the Dev has provided a solution though that doesn't seem to work for all.

The only problem is that he doesn't want to have anything to do with the Play Store.

If you are talking about the OP, then he wants to donate and get the donate version. So without Play Store, he can not do it, unless by subterfuge.
I don't see greenify app in amazon appstore. I don't think it is there anymore... what was the matter?
jeffreylin_ said:
It was removed because the dev had problems with IAPs on Amazon Appstore. If you have downloaded it before, you can still do so.

Oh I haven't purchased it yet. Since I have some amazon appstore coins, I wanted to pay there rather than paying again in google play... Appreciate your reply!
I have purchased the donation package. As expected, after removing Gapps from my phone the paid features don't work anymore. I had to obtain a working version from unofficial sources.
I didn't see a mention anywhere on the store page that Greenify requires proprietary Google services to run, I should be entitled for a refund.
DRM only hurts the paying customers, pirates use the superior, non-Google dependant Greenify.

You have some nerve in posting this. Not only you knew that Greenify donate features will not work if Gapps are removed, you went ahead and obtained "a working version from unofficial sources".
So if Greenify is now working for you, why should the donation be returned?
And you complain that Play Store nowhere states that donation features won't work without Gapps as if you didn't know.
Hypocrisy!
Still, the question remains: How to use the "full version" without GApps installed? I still have a Google account and thus could "pay" via it. But it makes no sense for me if I cannot use it.
That "Google Glue" applied by "vending.CHECK_LICENSE" is a real show-stopper. I'm willing to pay/donate, and I've did so with several other apps that came without this glue (and thus working perfect on my "degooglified" devices). I wish I could say the same about Greenify. The free version is nice – but not half as useful as the full version

Agreed. But I think that it won't work without Google Play Store unless the Dev finds a way around it. And I also think that the 'Google Glue' was applied by Google and not by the Dev.

There are plenty of ways around it (one is to simply remove the license check altogether, which is what "hackers" do or which could possibly be done using Lucky Patcher – but I don't want to use a hacked version nor the patcher, the latter is too tempting I've bought several "paid apps" that come completely without). And as it wasn't Google who added that piece of code to the app, I have to disagree: there are indeed things not to blame on Google. If a dev decides to use Google licence check (which is performed by the Google Play Store app, hence 'vending.CHECK_LICENSE') (s)he must be aware that the app providing that is required on the device it should run on – and the own app cannot run if not.
Here check this out this may probably help you.

Cannot use donation package NO matter what on fresh install

I have a Samsung S4 with CMOptimized 12.1 Fresh install. I installed greenify through the play store, then the donation package. When I click an experimental feture I'm asked to purchase the donation package even though it's INSTALLED. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both, Clearing data and cache on both. Even tried clearing the data and cache on the play store like it waasa advised for somebodt from the website. But still being asked to purchase it AGAIN and AGAIN. Can anybody help
A suggestion. I have the same problem with Amplify donation -not with Greenify-. You can try this:
Open Google Play Store and select Greenify from your apps. Then pick on "open" and the app will run with no problems with donation package (with luck).
It let me use Amplify donation, which I couldn't use before, although I had paid for it. It's not a fix and maybe it will not work in Greenify and in your phone, but you don't lose anything trying.
Regards.

Thanks for that , but no go for me, I uninstalled BOTH then rebooted installed donation, then greenify. and still the same message. Looks like I'm just one of the unlucky ones that got shafted by the stupid licence check that ONLY this program runs.

Don't worry. I have the same issue since last 3-4 months. And I've tried contacting the developer several times. Just responded once on XDA promising a fix. It's been 3 months. I've given up on this app already. Won't buy anything from him. Sad he isn't interested in supporting the pro users. We paid for the app, we have the right to use pro features. Worst 2.5$ ever spent.

Can't verify donation package

Hi
I used Greenify without problems in my previous cellphone but I just got a new Redmi2 and I am running CM13. Greenify is one of my favorite and most important apps so I would like to make it work again. I live in China so I need a Vpn service to verify my donation package (which was ok in the past).
I downloaded both packages from Google Play, installed and get the message to open the experimental features, but when I try to enable them I get the message that it requires donation package. If I clic on Activate I choose my account but still can't select the special features. If I open the Play store again the Donation package appears there installed. In the information dialogo inside Greenify I can see the message saying "Thanks for your donation".
I have checked the previous posts about people having problems verifying their donation package so I have tried deleting data from Play and G services, clear dalvik cache, delete the dalvik files manually, deleting my G account and log in again... But so far nothing. I don't have Lucky Patcher either and the version of Greenify is the 2.8.1
Sorry for the confusion. The "Activate" button is not meant for donation package from Google Play. It's built for Amazon edition migration.
If you have ever clicked that button. You may need to clear the data of Greenify to be able to return to the normal Google Play verification.
This will be fixed in the next version.
Hi oasisfeng. Thanks for your help but still not working. I deleted data in Greenify, uninstalled Donation package. Opened Greenify, from there opened GPlay to download donation package. Downloaded, installed, opened, got the message "thanks for your donation" but I still get the message that my donation can't be verified (291). :crying:
Maybe is something related with being in China? Most of the time my internet has no access to Google Services. But in my previous phone (in the same situation), Greenify was working fine.

Every time Greenify is opened, it will check the status of the donation package. So unless Play Store is accessible at those times, it will not work.

I already purchased the donation package...
And i hv 2 devices...in my phone that run 4.0.4 it works flawlessly...and here on my phone that run 5.1.1 it show that the donation package is not verified...
Already tried to clear cache, data, etc but it still won't work...any suggestion???
Cz i need greenify...it's like the main part of my phone now...
Hi, Today I purchased the donation package (with direct billing carrier method). Install and active ok with my 2 devices.
But after some setting in 2nd devices (main activities is switch between non-root mode and root mede since app not detect it right), the donation pack gone of all devices and my purchase in Play Store order history shown as Canceled now. I don't know why? I surely never have press the refund button.
I don't know if my carrier can give my money back, too.
UPDATE: I've got my money back. It's ok.
same problem,i cant use it for a long time.Even i reinstall it still can not use.Can get my money back?
I'm not in China, and this just happened to me. Suddenly it says it can't verify it from Google. I uninstalled, cleared all data, reinstalled, with no difference. Program shows it's activated in the menus, but won't work. I did press the activate button before when this problem happened, but I already cleared data and such, and still no fix! Google shows it as bought
Edit: Seems something was messing with the license verification. Figures. Turned it off and it.
