Remix OS on Parallels Desktop. RESIDENT MODE (WORKING) WITHOUT USING USB TO BOOT - Remix OS for PC

I have been looking around the web but no one has completed the steps to install REMIX OS on PARALLELS
YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY THIS ON AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AS WELL. IT MIGHT WORK.
THIS IS NOT GUEST MODE! YOU ARE ABLE TO SAVE YOUR DATA!
Here are my steps :
1. I'm sure by now everyone has installed Remix OS on their USB so i'll skip to the next part.
2. add new virtual machine.
3. on the bottom right corner "continue without a source".
4. Choose more linux" - other linux kernel 2.6
5. customize settings before installation > continue > hardware > boot order > "tick" external device > "tick" select boot device on startup > external boot device (drop down menu) choose you usb where you installed Remix OS.
6. once it boots up, press tab, type " INSTALL=1 " it will look something like this > CREATE_DATA_IMG=1 INSTALL=1 <
7. You will see your hard drive and sd/mmc.
8. create / modify your hard drive to bootable.
9. Format your hard drive to ext4
10. install grub, do not install grub 2.
11 reboot and close parallels.
12. go into you remix os parallels settings and remove mounted usb. hardware > boot order > "untick" external device > "untick" select boot device on startup > external boot device (drop down menu) choose none.
13. you are now able to save your data.
mine is running at 4gb ram plus 64gb rom memory. no wifi but ethernet is connected, still unable to download stuff after installing google play store,
will be trying out again after a new update.

UPDATE!
UPDATED!

Hi, can some one explain me what I am doing wrong.

Viewpad 10. FROYO UPDATE IMG HOW TO

So I just got my viewpad 10 love this sexy beast its the perfect device for hacking smartphones but is there a stable 2.1 or 2.2 android build I already have a 2.2 img but im not sure how to load it so if you have a stable version link and how to run the img file or update the tablet to the updated version Thanks guys
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Have you heard anything or made any progress i just one and need to perform the same update to 2.2
Ok after some research i worked it out, I knew you had to load the img to a thumb drive and make it bootable but none of the programs to do this seemed to work would just restart the tablet. I found one finally that works with the android .img
Issues:
On screen keyboard was disabled by default but can be enabled in the settings
Wireless and bluetooth do not work, Still trying to work this one out
When coming out of standby it seems to freak out and struggle to start the UI again can often come out of standby and the touch screen has stopped working - Only solution so far is disable it going into standby.
External SDcard only works when it feels like it, have to reboot alot.
You will need:
Thumb drive, Formatted to fat32
A USB keyboard
1. Download http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/downloads/detail?name=vp10-20110221.img.gz This is the most stable release of v10 2.2
2. Download https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer This allows us to make a bootable thumb drive from the android image
3. Unzip both files onto your PC
4. Insert a empty thumb drive with the fat32 file system
5. Start Win32DiskImager Select the image file, Select the thumb drive letter and click Write
6. You now have a android thumb drive
7. Plug in a keyboard to the tablet via USB
8. Plugin your thumb drive
9. Start the tablet and start pushing F11 to open the boot menu
10. The thumb drive should appear on the list select and press enter
11. A blue menu will come up after about 10 seconds and ask if you want to run android from the thumb drive or install
12. Run first check you like it and there are no bugs
13. Reboot use same F11 procedure, This time choose install.
14. Do not install it to the ntfs partition this is the win 7 and it will break it, I selected my micro SD card so that i am not over-writing anything and i can have both 1.6 and 2.2 installed
15. Select DO NOT FORMAT unless you know what you are doing.
16. Select Yes to install the GRUB boot loader, this will over write the boot loader it should pop up and say its detected a ntfs partition do you want to add click yes or windows 7 will not be a selectable option to boot to when you start it
17. If you screw it up dont blame me, I did it and it works. If you install to a SD card you have to modify the GRUB loader to include windows 7 as an option as it doesn't detect it, google how to do this, but in GRUB the win 7 should be:
rootnoverify (hd0,1)
chainloader +1
18. If you install to an SDCARD the bios is set to boot from internal memory first, using your keyboard enter the bios and change the boot order to boot from the SDcard first.
I used this thread http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/viewsonic-tablets/8359-re-stall-windows-android-vpad10.html and http://www.android-x86.org/documents/installhowto to get this working read through both for some helpful information

How to install Android x86
(Sony Vaio Tap 11)
GPT, UEFI, working ARM translator
Hi.
This guide is written for "[FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT]" (all versions), but it should work for most, if not all UEFI computers with GPT hard drives. However, on "[FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT]", Android 4.4 RC1 works perfectly. EVERYTHING is functional, including ARM translator, both cameras, Wi-Fi, touchscreen, Bluetooth etc. Therefore, this tablet is an ideal choice for running Windows 8.1 together with Android.
First, download all the required files & software in one package:
What you need:
One USB flash drive (16GB minimum) for installation
Minitool Partition Wizard 8.1.1 (included)
Notepad++ 6.5.5 (included)
Android 4.4 RC1 with libhoudini, GAPPS, Root & UEFI-patched kernel (included)
GRUB from Ubuntu 13 (included)
Working UEFI Windows 8.x with GPT hard drive, on the computer where you are going to install Android to.
The installation is very simple, however if you do not know what is "partition" or how to enter BIOS – Please DO NOT TRY THIS. Ask someone for help.
YES, IT IS POSSIBLE TO RUIN YOUR WINDOWS INSTALLATION AND LOOSE ALL OF YOUR DATA IF YOU MAKE MISTAKE DURING PARTITIONING,
so please be careful.
Let us begin then! Everything is going to be done on the same Windows 8 PC you are installing Android to.
[FONT=&quot]0) [/FONT]Go to your PC BIOS and turn OFF "Secure boot" (it will not affect Windows 8). On "[FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT]" it is ALSO required to "Clear all secure boot keys" in BIOS setup and reboot once. Leave UEFI boot turned on.
[FONT=&quot]1) [/FONT]Start Windows & install Minitool Partition Wizard 8.1.1 (pwhe8.exe).
[FONT=&quot]2) [/FONT]Insert 16 GB USB drive. Format it with regular Windows Explorer, use FAT32.
[FONT=&quot]3) [/FONT]Run Minitool Partition Wizard. BE CAREFUL! CHOOSE YOUR USB DRIVE, NOT YOUR HDD! Resize the main partition of your USB drive so that there is 7.9GB of free space left AT THE END. Do not exceed 8GB.
[FONT=&quot]4) [/FONT]Not closing Minitool Partition Wizard, create PRIMARY EXT2 partition to the extent of that 7.9GB of the empty space on your USB drive. Name it "Android".
[FONT=&quot]5) [/FONT]Close Minitool Partition Wizard. Go to Windows Explorer and copy everything FROM the folder "[FONT=&quot]Install USB[/FONT]" (not the folder itself!) to your USB drive, so that you have "[FONT=&quot]EFI[/FONT]", "[FONT=&quot]boot[/FONT]" and "[FONT=&quot]android[/FONT]" folders in the USB drive's root.
[FONT=&quot]6) [/FONT]Press "Shift" on the keyboard, and while holding it choose "Restart" from Windows 8 charm bar (that annoying vertical stripe to the right). "Advanced Reboot" menu appears, choose "Use device" -> "UEFI USB drive"
Now, if you are using Sony Vaio Tap 11, there is everything already set in config files & you do not need to edit them. However, if your PC is different, now it's a good time to test if it can run Android x86 at all. So:
[FONT=&quot]7) [/FONT]a) - ([FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT]) - When black GRUB startup screen appears, choose "Install Android" -> wait for installation screen -> Select partition "sdb2 (linux)" -> Select "Do not format" -> Select "Yes, install GRUB" -> Select "Yes, install system r\w" -> Wait -> Select "Reboot".
[FONT=&quot]7) [/FONT]b) - (NOT [FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT]) - When black GRUB startup screen appears, choose "Live Android 4.4" and TEST EVERYTHING. Don't worry if ARM translator doesn't work - it will, after you install Android to HDD. If everything seems fine, choose "Power Off" from Android (NOT “REBOOT”!), start Windows again and repeat steps 6) & 7a).
[FONT=&quot]8) [/FONT]Now that you have installed Android to EXT2 partition on your USB drive, it is time to move it to HDD. Remove USB drive. Start Windows and launch Minitool Partition Wizard.
[FONT=&quot]9) [/FONT]THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL. Select your main computer's HDD. Find Windows partition (disk C:). If C: is your PC's only drive (like on [FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT] and most Ultrabooks) - carefully resize it with Minitool Partition Wizard, leaving ~8.5GB of free space AFTER it. WARNING! DRIVE C: IS NOT ALWAYS THE "LAST" PARTITION ON YOUR HDD - SOMETIMES THERE ARE ADDITIONAL RECOVERY & OEM PARTITIONS AFTER IT, WHICH YOU CAN'T SEE UNDER WINDOWS, BUT CAN IN Minitool Partition Wizard. DO NOT TOUCH THEM! RESIZE JUST THE DRIVE C:! If there are additional (logical) drives in your PC (D:, E: etc.) - resize the last one that you can see under Windows explorer, but, I repeat, DO NOT TOUCH ANY PARTITION BEFORE OR AFTER IT!
[FONT=&quot]10) [/FONT]Close Minitool Partition Wizard. Insert your 16GB USB drive, where Android was just installed. Launch Minitool Partition Wizard again.
[FONT=&quot]11) [/FONT]Select your USB drive. Choose EXT2 partition and COPYit to the free space of your main HDD, but position it AT THE END OF FREE SPACE - remember, we created EXT2 with the size of 7.9GB, but resized C: to free 8.5GB? Therefore, there will be ~500-600MB of free space left BETWEEN YOUR RESIZED DRIVE C: & EXT2 PARTITION. That's exactly what we need.
[FONT=&quot]12) [/FONT]When copying of EXT2 partition finishes, create new PRIMARY FAT32 partition in that 500-600MB of remaining free space. Name it "GRUB" and let Minitool Partition Wizard assign some drive letter to it (don't worry, it is all temporary). Let's assume that the letter assigned was "E:"
[FONT=&quot]13) [/FONT]Now the fun part COUNT (literally, with your finger) ALL PARTITIONS ON YOUR HARD DRIVE FROM LEFT TO RIGHT - count every single one, including the just created "GRUB". Write down (on a sheet of paper) the position of your just copied EXT2 partition - on [FONT=&quot]Sony Vaio Tap 11[/FONT], it will be number 7, on other GPT computers - likely 6 (or 7). Close Minitool Partition Wizard.
[FONT=&quot]14) [/FONT]Go to Windows Explorer and copy everything FROM the folder "Copy to GRUB HDD Partition" (not the folder itself!) to your newly created "E:" drive ("GRUB"), so that you have "EFI" and "boot" folders in "E:" drive's root.
[FONT=&quot]15) [/FONT]Go to "E:" drive's root and edit the file "boot" -> "grub" -> "grub.cfg". Do NOT use Windows' "Notepad" for that, use included "Notepad++"
[FONT=&quot]16) [/FONT]Find this:
Code:
menuentry "Run Android x86" {
set root=(hd0,gpt7)
linux /android-4.4-RC1/kernel root=/dev/sda7 androidboot.hardware=android_x86 SRC=/android-4.4-RC1
initrd /android-4.4-RC1/initrd.img
}
CHANGE "root=(hd0,gpt7)" & "root=/dev/sda7" TO THAT NUMBER YOU'VE WRTITTEN ON A SHEET OF PAPER - for example, if your EXT2 partition was 6th from the left, change "root=(hd0,gpt7)" to "root=(hd0,gpt6)" & "root=/dev/sda7" to "root=/dev/sda6". DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE. DO NOT ADD SPACES. Save the file.
[FONT=&quot]17) [/FONT]Edit the file "boot" -> "grub" -> "loopback.cfg" in exactly the same way as in the previous step. Save the file. Close editor.
[FONT=&quot]18) [/FONT]Remove USB drive if you had not already. That is important – if USB is inserted, then ITwill become “hd0” for grub & Android would fail to load.
[FONT=&quot]19) [/FONT]Reboot your PC. It will start Windows as usual. Wait until it booted completely and go to Desktop (from Windows 8 Metro screen)
[FONT=&quot]20) [/FONT]Move your mouse to the very bottom-left corner & press RIGHT button. Choose "Disk Management". Find your little ~500-600MB "GRUB" partition (disk "E:" in this guide), press right mouse button & pick "Change drive letters & paths". Press "Remove" button. No more useless disk "E:" in Explorer
[FONT=&quot]21) [/FONT]At last, press "Shift" on the keyboard and, while holding it, choose "Restart" from Windows 8 charm bar (that annoying vertical stripe to the right). "Advanced Reboot" menu appears, choose "Use device" -> and surprise! New choice appears there - "UEFI HDD drive"! That is your Android. This is how you will access it every time (reboot Windows with "Shift").
To return to Windows from Android, just select "Power Off" from drop-down, & then simply start your PC again. Do NOT use terminal command "Reboot" - if PC is rebooted from Android to Windows without proper shutdown, Bluetooth will not work under Windows until switched on\off in Android.
In a rare case when GRUB becomes the default UEFI loader, not letting you to start Windows – there’s an entry in it to chainload UEFI Windows 8 boot manager. You have 5 seconds on every boot to select this entry. Then your PC will boot Windows normally, & Windows should automatically correct its loading sequence. Android will still be accessible in a usual way.
That's it Happy hacking!

Once you perform step 2, (Format it with regular Windows Explorer, use FAT32) you should be able to copy the files to the USB drive. If not, there could be an issue with your USB drive. You won't be able to see the EXT2 filesystem on Windows, this is just for OS installation later.
Ok il try transferring the files then doing step 3, 4 (not 5 because weve already copied it) then 6 onwards. Thanks
The USB drive itself is fine, I use it everyday

I tried this, and when I reboot using the advanced reboot, use device, UEFI USB drive, it just reboots and goes to windows.
Oh and also my sony vaio tap 11 in advanced reboot > usb device > it doesnt say 'UEFI USB Drive', it just says 'EFI USB Drive'
now when I was doing step 0, there wasnt anything in my bios that said 'Clear all secure boot keys'
Not sure why this wont work for me, im usually quite good with following these sort of things.
Anymore tips?
Ok a bit of an update,
If i boot from the USB stick (this is a second usb stick im trying now)
I get: Could not open "\EFI\BOOT\fallback.efi": 14
error: variable 'root' isn't set.
Any ideas?

How to install Android x86 (Sony Vaio Tap 11)
Hello, Android 4.4 KitKat is working perfect on my Sony Vaio Tap11, but i have not enough disk space to be able install Apps on the partion that i create for Android. could you please help.
where to get android-x86 system files tool?
Can not distinguish partitions during x86 install on a win7 notebook
Sda 1
Sda 2
Sda 3 . . . And 2 more even though i have only 3 partitions.
There is no other information , and I do not want to instal Android in the Windows C volume. The only recognisable item from that list is the flash drive containing the Android installation Files. This is the very first day on this forum and the very first question, Im yet to find my way around this site.
Thank you
Hello guys
it will be helpfull if anybody will port android x86 L to 32 bit......
installed and used once. Reboot fails as the grub config hasnt been written. " error - variable root hasnt been set." system is read only so I guess the grub file will never get written. The installer needs option to write a grub config or installer generates its own. Im sick of reinstalling this thing through all install options. maybe in a year or two I'll try again.

Default booting to Remix OS

Hi,
Anyone can help me to make the Remix OS as default boot option? I successfully installed Remix OS on my Acer V5-573G via dual boot. I shrank my current hard drive and created a separate partition for my Remix OS. I'm booting to Remix OS via Settings > Change PC Settings > Update and Recovery > Recovery > Advanced Startup.
Upon selecting this option to boot to Remix OS, there is a DOS like screen asking me to select from Windows and Remix OS.
Please help me if there is an option to make the Remix OS as default and get rid of this selection which also has 30 second timeout.
Tried to edit the menu.lst but cannot find the correct setting to make it defaulted to Remix OS.
Thanks in advance!
If you use official method for dual boot, every time you start your PC, you'll get prompted with two options Windows or Remix OS. You don't need to enter Windows to boot Remix. By default, Windows is the primary OS, and if you don't choose one option, it will start Windows in 30 seconds. But in this menu, there is a button to change the primary OS.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that if I install the remix OS on my drive C, it will always ask me the boot options (windows , remix os). Since I want to always default the booting to Windows (most of the time), I didn't install it to my drive C because it annoys me to see this and select it manually or wait for the timeout to finish just to boot to windows.
since i only use the remix OS not that frequent, I installed it on separate partition and it is okay with me to boot to windows first and go to advanced recovery setting to reboot and go to remix OS.
I just wonder if in this way, I can default it to remix OS with seeing this boot options

Where is the button?
I realize this is a sort of old thread, but I am having this same issue. Remix OS is the default boot option. I would like it to boot Windows by default, as it is really annoying when the pc restarts and if I'm not paying close attention it boots Remix OS. This is especially annoying when installing updates!
I too do not see any "button" that would facilitate this option.
Help? Thoughts?
Same problem here.
Just installed and I want to default to Windows. I guess ill just uninstall and hope it works. Caint boot in Remix by default on a PC for sure.

I found out how to change the default "Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced Startup."
Worked for me...
Have same issue here but would be great if we can edit the default boot up to Windows instead of Remix OS and shorten the time from 30 seconds to user defined (2 seconds) would be great. Anyone have way around this?
Sorry for the DAMN LATE reply.....
This solution is applicable if you have a legacy BIOS.
Remix OS comes already pre-rooted, so you can edit root stuff, if you have access to the Windows partition (usually "disk0"), you can edit menu.lst using a text editor, then add:
title Windows
rootnoverify (hd0,1)
makeactive
chainloader +1
Change the number (hd0,1) according to your partition number
Example: I installed Windows in the 2nd partition, then (hd0,2)
Save the changes then reboot and press Esc before the countdown ends, and select Windows.
If your main OS is Windows NT4.0 or 2000 or XP, then add this instead:
title NTLDR
fallback 1
find --set-root --ignore-floppies --ignore-cd /ntldr
map () (hd0)
map (hd0) ()
map --rehook
find --set-root --ignore-floppies --ignore-cd /ntldr
chainloader /ntldr
Change both (hd0) numbers if you installed the old Windows OS to another disk, for example: I attached two disks, one has a corrupt Windows 10 which is (hd0), and the other has Windows XP for recovery purposes (hd1), then I change to (hd1)
Save the changes then reboot, and press Esc before the countdown ends, and select NTLDR.
And Voila! You can now set your Windows OS to default booting option again!

Remix OS won't boot

Remix won't boot on my PC. I get an Error 15 and that's it any ideas?
AMD A10-6800 with Radeon HD graphics 4.40 ghz
8 gb Ram
Windows 10 64bit
Thanks for any help
That is bootloader related. I have it on my sister's Asus but I managed to fix it.
First extract all of the ISOs contents to the root of your windows partition, or any partition. Remember the ROOT of a partition don't add them to any subfolders. Make sure that system.sfs and kernel are in the root of the partition.
2) Download EasyBCD in windows "google it"
3) Put the iso file itself in the root of the partition as well and rename it to Remix.iso
4) Open EasyBCD - - > Add new Entry - - > go down and select iso tab. Select the iso file remix.iso and press add entry.
5) Reboot and select Neosmart iso or whatever you renamed it in the Windows boot menu. It will boot you to the iso. Select resident mode. And press enter.
I hope this helps.
@mdgraphix
I need little bit more information before I help you.
1. Did you use the official installer?
2. Did you install from Windows or from USB?
3. Please make a picture of your screen when the error 15 occurs or write down what's on the screen before the error.

[GUIDE] [Fix] Dreamtab hangs at characters.

Symptoms
The classic symptoms of the issue are at some point the Nvidia Dreamtab will stop booting and hang at the Dreamworks characters screen and never boot any further. The frequency ranges from once a month to a year. You are able to factory reset and the issue goes away for some periodicity and then returns.
NOTE: If you recently bought a new Nvidia Dreamtab and you have this character freeze right after doing the OTA then this probably isn't the issue, I am working on a different fix for that problem in this thread. If however this solution does fix your issue I'd like to hear about it.
Background
The tablet uses the linux ext4 filesystem. The Dreamtab kernel requests a filesystem check every 20 partition mounts(typically during reboots) or when the files system is marked dirty(the tablet is hard powered off, or some other glitch). The tablet is missing the fsck binary which is the filesystem checker similar to what you might have seen in windows with chkdsk. Without this file the tablet can not check filesystem and the kernel waits indefinitely for that to happen and your tablet sits and the Dreamworks characters.
Solution
Temporarily boot to a program(TWRP) that can install the filesystem file on the tablet. To temporarily boot to TWRP the bootloader must be unlocked. The unlock procedure requires erasing all information on the tablet which isn't an issue if you are currently experiencing the problem as a factory reset was the only way to recover anyway. If you have a working tablet and want to apply this fix you should find a way to backup your files prior to attempting this. To better understand how the low level Nabi functions this should be required reading and will help better understand what you are doing. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nabi-2/general/nabi-information-t3229119
Procedure
Only for Nvidia Dreamtab NV08B. Use this at your own risk, your warranty is void. You will lose all personal data on the device
Link to video Youtube video installation
1) Down load the drivers.
-- There are 3 popular options included in the link from above in the driver section of the Nabi General Information thread. Have them handy for the next step.
2) Download TWRP recovery.
-- The file is attached at bottom of post. DTTWRPinstaller300.zip
-- Note: You can automate some of the bootloader unlock and installing TWRP steps below with the install.bat file if you have a working Nabi.
3) Download the fsck patch.
-- The file is attached at bottom of post. NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip
4) Reboot to fastboot protocol
-- With Nabi powered off press and hold the power button and the vol + button until a small menu(bootloader menu) appears. Quickly release both buttons or the tablet will start booting normally. Using the vol- button to highlight the fastboot protocol(2nd option from top) and then press the vol+ button to select it. Note: Depending on if the drivers are installed the screen will change or stay the same.
5) Verify drivers installed or install drivers.
-- Open windows device manager. On Windows 10 type "device manager" in to the Cortana search bar. On other versions open run by pressing the "windows key" in lower left of keyboard while also pressing R key. Then type: devmgmt.msc
-- If you have "Android Device" and it's sub menu says bootloader/fastboot then you are set up. If down by "other devices" you have an unknown device then you will need to install the drivers from the selection and download you made from reading the Nabi General Information thread.
6) Unlock the bootloader
-- This step will ERASE ALL information on the tablet.
-- Unzip the DTTWRPinstaller300.zip to a location of your choosing. If you use Windows built in unzip utility make sure you check the box that says to open when unzipping is complete.
-- Hold the shift key on the keyboard while right clicking on the "files" folder. Then select "open command window here"
-- At the prompt type:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Note: You need to move quickly to the tablet and do the next step as there is a timeout
-- On the tablet it will ask if you want to unlock. Using the vol- key select "yes" with vol+ or pwr. If you do this properly in the command window on your computer it will tell you it is erasing the device.
7) Temporary boot TWRP
-- I can't remember if after the bootloader unlock if tablet is at fastboot, or if you have to power off the tablet and do step 4 again. I think you can just proceed.
-- At the prompt type
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
8) Get the patch file on the tablet
-- Option A: There are a couple options for this. Check the file explorer on your computer. If you see t8400n as a device you can just copy and paste the NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip to the internal storage by copy and pasting in windows. Go to step 9.
-- Option B: Insert a microSD card in your computer and copy the NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip to your microsd card and insert the sdcard in the tablet.
-- Option C: If the t8400n does not show up on your computer then you will need to transfer via ADB. This will require you to setup the ADB driver like you did for fastboot in step 5. Now in sub Android Device in Device Manager you should see ADB, if you don't install driver.
--Copy the NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip to the "files" folder where you extracted DTTWRPinstaller300.zip. It should be in a folder with adb, fastboot, AdbWinAPi, etc
-- At the command prompt type:
Code:
adb push NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip /sdcard
9) Install patch
-- In TWRP on tablet click the install tab. Generally you will now see the NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip if you picked option A or C. If not navigate to the sdcard folder. If you picked option B navigate up a folder and find external_sdcard folder and look in there.
Note: For external_sdcard it may be necessary to exit to TWRP main menu and select mount tab and make sure Micro SDcard is checked.
-- Once you have found the NV08B_FSCK_PATCH.zip from inside the install tab you can select it and then swipe to install. You should get verification it completed normally.
I know this is rather old, but I have a couple of these tablets I'm trying to get working again to give to a friend's kids, but this doesn't seem to work. Did you have to have USB debugging checked before the tablets stopped booting in order for this to work properly?
Basically I can do all the fastboot stuff without any errors, but when I try to boot to TWRP all the tablets do is pretty much rotate the screen 180° so the bootloader screen is in the opposite corner and the volume buttons no longer work until I hold power for ten seconds to power it off... Any help is greatly appreciated!
