Is it possible to run remix os on EEEPC 702? - Remix OS for PC

I have try android x86 4.0 RC2 on my EEEPC 702 8G and it is awesome!
I am now wanna try remix os 32 bit version.
However, it stop at the word "ANDROID" in console mode and not show the remix os logo.
Is EEEPC 702 too old to support? Is there any boot commend that I can try for?

Try VGA=791 and debug.

Having the same problem here. Tried editing menu with VGA=791 and 785 to no avail. I even tried VGA=312, which also did nothing.
I don't think the kernel supports the hardware, although it'd be great if it did.

Have you installed remix on hdd or pendrive try to install on hdd

I've tried installing on all media to no avail (SD, pendrive, HDD). It's definitely a driver problem because everything from 4.0 down to 1.6 runs, but anything above that api level won't run.
I'll look at the android x86 commits from that period and see what's stopping us.

booting on a pc with android x86 already installed?

I have downloaded and installed remix os to a usb stick.
My laptop already triple boots ubuntu, windows 10 and android x86.
When I try and boot remix OS from usb it picks up my installed android and tries to use that partition, which ultimately fails.
Anyone know a work around?
Sory... what?
I didn't understand at all... could you please take some pictures of what's happening when you try to boot up by the USB?
I think that I understand cause I experienced something similar with two same installation of Arch Linux on same hdd (installation of Arch on one partition cloned to another partition). I think it is mess with same label for devices. If I remember good, label of partition with installed Android x86 is "Android-x86", same as label of your Remix burned USB. Try to unplug your hdd, than boot Remix from usb or try to change label of usb.
I already have android x86 installed to hard drive.
When I boot the remx os from usb it just tries to boot using the already installed android.

Yes tried still no joy. Booting from usb finds android at sda4, that's my internal hard drive android partition.

Did you try to unplug your HDD, and boot from USB? This is useful to determine if you can booting Remix generally. Remix is in alfa stage, and wont running on all hardware. For example: I can running Remix on my wife Acer Aspire something (Intel), by can't running on my Toshiba Satellite L775D (AMD) (so pity ).
well I havn't Done that yet, its a laptop with ssd. Just wanted.to try it out.

X86 runs, but ReMix won't - Dell d630

So I've been testing ReMix and can get it to run on my Windows 10 Toshiba laptop,
in Virtual machines, but it will not run on my older Dell d630 running Ubuntu 14.04.
Android X86 4.4.4 and 5.1 versions will run in both Virtualbox and Vmware on the d630, although 5.1 seems very slow - not unlike it's performance on many other platforms.
Remix essentially bootloops back to it's main install screen, if the iso isn't unmounted, or to the grub menu, each and every time.
I've tried a number of boot mods with different vga settings, but nothing has worked.
Just wondering what is missing from remix that x86 has?

Remix OS 64 Bit version not booting on old laptop

Hi All!
I have a Lenovo laptop lying around my college days and i thought to use it for trying Remix OS. I have checked online and the processor, Intel Celeron M 540, supports 64-bit instruction set as per Intel website. So i saw a method to dual boot remix os on windows. Formatted one of my partitions and proceeded with the dual boot method via EasyBCD. While trying it, it detects Android x86, detects data partition, but after the "Checking Data Partition" when it should show RemixOS bootanimation, it simply reboots the PC and the same happens with booting from USB as well. So could anybody please suggest if it has something to do with the processor side or is it the old drivers or something?
Model number is Lenovo 3000 G410. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Have you had any success with this yet? I have the exact same problem, and can't find answers anywhere. I've tried everything!!
I have a similar problem with lenovo s205. It doesn't even boot from flash disk or external hard drive (any of 64 bit version) the only 32 bit version boot from drivedroid on my phone but only live.

Well i downloaded and tried the 32 bit version and it worked fine. But the OS is working awfully slow. I'm afraid it's the hardware that can't run it smoothly. Will see if i can find some space on my PC to try this OS. A great project with potential nonetheless. :good:

(for me) Unknown problem with booting R-OS

Hey guys, Meep here, I'm new!
So yesterday I tried installing Remix OS on my HP Pavilion 17, (Core i5-4200M) and a HD 8000M card from AMD.
I intalled the 64 bit version using the HDD installer provided with the ISO, and when done, I select the partition, after some text the RemixOS logo flashes for let's say 3 minutes, then it goes to a black screen witha mouse that I can use with my trackpad, and that goes away when I click a key on the keyboard. If I leave it there for let's say 5 minutes, the fan will start to go crazy. normal AndroidX86 works fine booting from USB. and my laptop is UEFI, so the 32 bit doesn't work either. making the USB installer with both the RemiXos tool and Rufus didn't help. after the remix os logo I am thrown into a black screen with a mouse. any help? thanks in advance.!
It's probably due to the amd card, remix does not play well with non intel graphics cards atm(they're trying to get it to work). The march 1st build was a lot more stable for me but it autoupdates so couldn't stay there. You could try to add nouveau.modeset=0 i915.modeset=1 to the menu.lst file(inside remixos folder) under kernel to force it to use the intel integrated.

Hey. I tried using all kinds of parameters, nomodeset, nomodeset vga 7**, what you said, but everything stops working. now I just get to a black screen, with a stuck white dash at the top left. strange thing is, only thing that works is the brightness support on the keyboard!

How to install Remix OS (Dual Boot; System GPT Partition)

I am having trouble installing Remix OS in my laptop (Acer E5-521)
I made a 16GB partition for the Remix OS and install the system via it's bundled program.
I also successfully configured my laptop to dual-boot with Remix OS and Windows 10 with a complex work-around (Simple EasyBCD process doesn't work for me as the NeoGrub is greyed out) even I disabled the secure boot in the boot menu.
Once I try to boot to the Remix OS this what happen: it stays on the logo. I tired to wait for some hour and even stayed my laptop overnight it will not boot to the UI or the setup.
I try to look for solutions. Unfortunately, most tutorial I saw is through using an MBR partition.
My PC HDD is a GPT -- which is kinda obsolete using an OS like this.
To anyone who can help or had successfully installed the OS in a GPT HDD, I am hoping for your kindness to share your knowledge regarding this matter.
Looking forward for a reply
Install Phoenix OS on GPT Partition style Hdd (Dual or Triple boot)

Try Phoenix OS 2.0.3. I have installed it on a GPT Hdd, ntfs formated partition with triple boot options. Windows 10, OS x 10.12, Phoenix OS. working fine without any problem. I used .exe file of Phoenix OS instead of .iso file.
My PC is Dell Optiplex 7010 , Intel Corei5, 8GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce 210
