Switch Between Oxygen OS & Hydrogen OS, without TWRP & Unlocking - OnePlus 2 General

Umm.. Yeah !
We can easily swap between the two OSs, without unlocking Bootloader or Flashing TWRP
Just Simply Download the Desired OTA zips below and flash via Stock Recovery. (Stable and Safe)
Steps: To Flash Lollipop OTA
Prerequisite: OTA Zips, Get from Links Below
1. Boot to Stock Recovery (Volume Down + Power)
2. Select Language (English/Chinese)
3. Wipe Data/Cache (Yeah you have to otherwise you get stuck at Boot Logo)
4. Flash the desired Lollipop Based zip (Oxygen OS 2.x.x or Hydrogen OS 14-15 )
5. Wait to complete, reboot n Enjoy.
#Note: All OTA zips can also be Flashed via TWRP
Steps: To Flash TWRP & Root
1. Download OnePlus2 Toolbox
2. Extract and Open the "Run_Me"
3. Install OnePlus2 Drivers, ADB Drivers
4. Put Your Device to FastBoot (Vol Up + Power), connect to PC.
5. Unlock Bootloader, phone will restart and will wipe all data
6. Again Put Your Device to FastBoot (Vol Up + Power), connect to PC.
7. Flash Recovery, using option 6.
8. Wait to complete, Enjoy!
#Note: To root your OnePlus2, download the SuperSU Zip and Flash via TWRP
Downloads: (Google Drive)

SuperSU 2.46
GoogleApps_5.1.1
Confused between Hydrogen And Oxygen ??
- Go for Hydrogen, as of now Oxygen is buggy.
Hydrogen OS Pros:
1. Stable
2. Awesome and Clean UI, Dont like H2 Launcher? Use Nova or like, instead.
3. Finger Print Sensor, Faster n Accurate, Home key works perfectly.
4. Awsome Camera, no bugs.
5. BuiltIn apps Like: Gallery, Weather, Tuner, Notes, Manager.
6. Better Battery n RAM Optimization.
7. Better Dual SIM Management.
8. OnePlus Team more interested in Hydrogen OS, as H2OS_MM_Beta developement in progress. ( No News about OOS_MM)
Cons:
1. No Built-In Support for GoogleServices, Flash Gapps instead. [Solved]
2. Pre-Installed Chinese Bloats, use Purify or Like to remove. [Solved]
3. No support for Locales other than English/Chinese, use MoreLocale. [Solved]
If more, let me know.

A question about installing Lineage OS and custom recovery

Hey
I'm a bit confused with the recovery thing going on with my SGP321. So tell me if i've understood the steps right:
Currently I have an unlocked bootloader and root on STOCK 5.1.1 and to go further from there:
1. I need to download twrp 3.0.2.0 for pollux https://dl.twrp.me/pollux/
2. Download lineage os for pollux: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/general/rom-cyanogenmod-14-t3496758
3. Download gapps http://opengapps.org/?arch=arm&api=7.1&variant=pico
4. copy lineageos.zip and gapps.zip to my tablet's SD card
5. flash twrp.img to BOOT(???) partition (with twrp app or fastboot flash boot twrp.img)?
6. reboot my device and it will reboot to twrp
7. wipe everything except sdcard
8. flash lineage.zip
9. flash gapps.zip
10. wipe cache
11. reboot
And we're in lineageos with twrp recovery (it's included in lineageos boot.img?)?
Mostly steps 5 and 6 are confusing. I understand that Xperia devices don't have a reserved recovery partitions like android devices usually have and we have to use "hacks" to bypass things.
Thank you in advance for all the help, I know it's an old device and the forum might be a bit quiet and this is basic stuff with xperia devices.
I'll reply to myself:
This method worked except that I had to press Vol+ and Vol- while booting after flashing twrp-pollux.img to boot partition.
Follow my tutorial : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...de-tutorial-sony-xperia-tablet-z-lte-t3392831

If you're stuck/bricked/bootloop while going back from a Custom ROM to Indian Stock

See guys, we do not have an option to install stock C675 if everything is wiped. ( I mean to say something equivalent to EFS partition where imei resides ). Then what best can be done here is get your device working in Lineage and try some apn creation fixes which I'll post below for Volte. If it works, well and good. If it does not, we need to wait and swap sims till we get the official stock system.img and boot as well as recovery ramdisk out from a dev or Honor's side. They do not have it in their database and so its difficult for them too to install it from scratch as they need every rom partition and in the treble devices, its a different way than samsung's odin or Mi's flashtool.
Now follow the exact steps below which I did and got a working device :
Things to download :
Berkley TWRP Official, Lineage OS - [ 1. system.img from Garbage folder. (Latest) , 2. ROM zip to update the ROM to latest from TWRP later.] , Stock Recovery from XDA, Luk's Gapps.
1. Install Berkley Official TWRP latest one from XDA thread (with NO mod) through fastboot.
2. Always use the button combination (power+vol up) to boot to twrp as soon as it gets flashed and you remove the wire.
3. Once it boots, wipe data, system, cache. After that, go to "Format data" option in TWRP and format it. (Its different than wipe)
4. Restart in TWRP.
5. Go to fastboot mode from TWRP and flash stock recovery through fastboot by using ramdisk command.
6. Flash system.img which you downloaded through fastboot and then as soon as it gets installed, do not boot it and instead go to stock recovery from button combination and click on factory data reset. Once done, let your phone boot.
7. Once you boot, setup your phone and flash TWRP Image through fastboot again. (Do not wipe anything on that.)
8. Once flashed just boot to TWRP and flash Lineage 15.1 "zip" as well as gapps through ADB sideload or USB drive. Do it one by one, first OS zip and then reboot to TWRP and do the same process for Gapps zip. Just make sure, you do not wipe anywhere after step - 4.
9. If you follow the exact process, you get a working ROM.
Credits : I would like to thank Luke for Lineage 15.1 . If we are midway, we have no other option to go back to C675 and this is the only option mentioned above to get a Bug free device other than Volte and camera. For camera, there are stock ones available for Magisk.

is it safe to flash MIUI global 10 fastboot rom with twrp?

hello,
so I was just wondering is it safe to flash MIUI 10 global rom with twrp? I know that it will probably replace the twrp with stock recovery, but it is easily fixed. I had to restore old backup and right now I'm on MIUI beta rom but with beta roms being shut down starting from 1st july, I just want to convert to the latest MIUI global rom which is avilable here on thier offical site and it is called Version: V10.3.4.0.PEJMIXM (MIUI10)
so again my question:
1. is it safe to flash this rom with TWRP?
2. will i need fastboot zip file if I choose to flash with TWRP?
3. or can I just download the normal zip and flash it through local update feature? please take note that twrp is installed on my phone
so that's all.. thanks for your time:good:

No,I recommend downloading the full (recovery) rom and flashing it in twrp, and then flashing the 'Disable Force Encryption' zip and later magisk if needed.., wipe dalvik cache & reboot
This way you don't lose twrp or anything else on your phone

Hi ethanks for your reply. What do you mean by full rom? Does twrp allow flashing miui global roms just like any other custom roms?

Of course it does..
I'm talking about the full rom also called as recovery rom (Example :-
https://en.miui.com/getrom-355.html?m=yes&mobile=2
Visit this link to see the latest miui stable & beta ROMs for Poco f1, both of them are full ROMs aka recovery ROMs of the latest miui for Poco f1
1) I assume you have already unlocked bootloader etc..
First you have to have the essential files i.e the rom zip file you want to install, disable Force Encryption zip file, Magisk zip file (All files links will be available in the main Poco f1 thread)
2) Next you boot into twrp (Power + volume up button)
Next select install, navigate to the downloaded rom zip file and swipe to flash (DONT reboot after flash, click back)
3) Now again select install & now flash the disable Force Encryption zip file (This is very important & should be done during every rom flashing)
4) Next go back & flash Magisk for root
5) Wipe dalvik cache and reboot

Did you flash stable rom ?
And did you erase the data or internal storage?
I am on beta as well and have unlocked bootloader and twrp & magisk installed with Force encryption Disabled.
I want to switch to 10.3.5.0 Stable ROM.
But I don't know whether to erase Data partition or not.

1) Use migrate app from play store to take a backup of current phone app data, the backup is stored in a flashable zip format
2) Next boot to twrp, choose wipe and select davlik, cache, system, data later follow my steps in my previous comment to flash new rom
3) Set up phone etc, Make sure Magisk is installed properly
4) Next boot into twrp & flash the migrate zip file located in migrate folder, reboot after flashing, you will get a notification about migrate backup once rebooted, open it and restore everything or select choose to restore for selective restore of data

Twrp with miui 11

Hey, recently I've updated to miui 11 and I've unlocked the bootloader long ago but I couldn't install twrp on my phone, every time I push the up volume button and power it leads me to the mi recovery, and if I press down volume button it leads me to the fastboot with that communist rabbit.
I'm quite tired of trying over and over watching every tutorial of Hindi kids speaking as fast as a squirrel and I just want to know if someone did it with miui 11 working and explain me how to install that damned custom recovery
I think someone has to build the recovery, because I tried to flash the TWRP, but I can't install it.
TWRP that is compatible for Redmi 6A MIUI 11 does not exist yet.
Even the previous version of "MIUI v10.4.4.0" which now used "Android 9 or Pie" replacing ""Android 8.1" had to use an unofficial modified TWRP to get it working.
if i update via twrp with the v11.0.5recoverymode zip file what happen? it will brick?
well, i did it
the update package install normally without errors for me, but when i try to enter in twrp, it is erased, instead is the stock recovery lul
my steps:
>Previusly have Android 9 Pie MIUI 10 (i think was v10.4.4) with TWRP 3.3.1 MOD (For pie) and root with magisk (20.0)
> Donwload the recovery package (1.4GB in MIUI11 oficial you can donwload it)
> Go to TWRP in your phone
> Install the package
> Reboot
- I did not install the Magisk bacause i forgot that, but the system runs normally
- I dont know what happen if you root the phone after zip installation (maybe brick)
- You will erase your TWRP, basically you will have a stock phone
- Now there isnt a TWRP official or mods for MIUI V11.0.5
