[Q] Please Help Me Debranding my Titan

Hello,
i have a brand Vodafone IT Titan with:
OS: 7.10.8107.79
firmware: 166.2200.20501.165
radio: 16.23.06.10_16.32.00.23U
bootloader: 2.5.160015.3(137079)
i wanted to upload the 2.05 eu rom so i have downloaded this rom: http://www.filefactory.com/file/1ybq4xqcazyp/n/IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_2.05.401 and obtained the file named 'IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_2.05.401.01_Radio_Signed_16.23.06.10_16.32.00.23_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh' (yes it has the apex included in the file, vary strange for me) that is 419.982 KB
i have renamed the file in ETERIMG.nbh.
i have downloaded goldcardtool and goldcard.img.
i have formatted the microSD in fat32.
i have copied ETERIMg.nbh in the microSD.
i have patched the microSD with goldcardtool and goldcard.img
i have connected the Y usb cable to the Titan, the microSD card reader and the PC.
i have booted the Titan in USB HOST mode but it always show me "Entering USB Mode". Upload does not begin at all.
So, what am i doing wrong ???
Please guys help me!!!!

Looks likes that your Y cable is fine, with your phone showing "entering usb mode". This leaves your gold card as possibly the main culprit. In other threads, some had the same issue and managed to flash their phone by trying other type of microsd card and card reader. I used a kingston 2gb microsd card and multicard reader. I managed to debrand my att titan to european 2.05 rom (see the thread I started on this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693334&page=2)
Thanks for the replay.
I don't know if the cable is ok. I bought it on ebay:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/260747604735?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
It is a normal Y cable used for external HardDisk when a single usb port is not enought for powering the device.
I connected the miniUSB port to my card reader.
I connected the dataUSB port to my phone (using a famale-famale adapter)
I connected the powerUSB port to my pc.
The strange thing is that when i plug the phone (phone is already turned on)
then the phone fell i had connecet it and the led become red.
Also the led on the card reader is Turned on, meaning that it is turned on.
But when i restar the phone and push vol- and camera going in USB Host mode,
the led on the card reader is desapeared, so i thing it is turned off.
The phone is now waiting in USB Host mode.
So i disconnect and reconnect the power usb cablo form the pc, and so the card reader turned on again. But the upload does not begin.
Do you thing that there is something strange ?
may be i miss something on doing the gold card (wrong image, wrong name) or samething like that?
I have already tried with 4 different memory card but (512MB MMC, 1GB microSD, 8 GB microSD and 1GB SD card) the result is the same.
I have a question, after downloading the
'IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_2.05.401.01_Radio_Signed_16.23.06.10_16.32.00.23_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh'
file
I have to extract RUU_Sigbned.nbh and rename it in ETERIMG.NBH
or jusy keep the whole file and rename it in ETERIMG.NBH ???
If i have to exctract RUU_Signed, how can i do that??
I have the same question as nyonik.
After getting to the USB Mode, I plug in the phone the card reader turns on and off and it goes straight back to ther SPL screen and freezes there. When I unplug the device the word "serial" appears on the screen. I've havent been able to find someone on here describing a similiar scenerio. I've tried several different types of media and they all do the same thing.
@nyonik- you copy the euro rom 2.05 to microsdcard rename it to ETERIMG.nbh then make it a goldcard.
@jonesk001- that also happened to me, what u need to do when it goes back to spl mode, unplugged phone "serial" appears, then restart phone by pressing power button for few secs when it start to boot hold down vol- and camera buttons this will boot ur phone to "usb mode" screen, at this point plug it back to Y cable. Your phone should proceed with flashing. If it again kick back to spl mode repeat the steps i described. Goodluck.

Thanks Habnzrot for tips. Finally got everything to work. Amazing enough I used WinXP to format and make the gold card instead on Win7 and it worked, using the same setup that was previously didn't work.

[Q] Can't connect my tablet (CM7) to PC via usb

Hello everyone. I've searched around and cannot find anything similar to my problem, so I'm asking here.
I've just installed CyanogenMod 7 (Degu) on my Archos 70 IT (aka Prestigio PMP7070C) tablet, and now I can't connect the tablet to my PC. When I plug in the USB cable, the screen flashes with the USB mounting interface for a brief moment, and then it gets back to home screen. The status bar tells me "USB connected; Select to copy files to/from your computer." But when I tap on it, the same thing happens - the mounting screen appears for a split second, and then it crashes.
Is this supposed to be happening? I haven't found anywhere in the documentation that the USB link is broken. Moreover, it works flawlessly in the stock ROM. If it's not supposed to be happening, how can I fix it? Did I do something wrong?
UPDATE: I've tried formatting the internal storage once more and installing the CM7 again from scratch. What I've noticed now is that, before I install Google Apps, the mounting screen appears when I plug the USB cable in. It doesn't, however, do anything (if I tap "Mount USB storage", it just does nothing for a while, and then returns to home screen). After installing the Google Apps, I can't even get to that screen anymore (the situation is the same as described above). Any leads to that?
Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have a microSD card on the tablet. However, it doesn't mount either. I cannot mount anything, since the mounting screen just disappears as soon as it opens.
I understand the image and data are on the internal memory, and I accept that I won't be able to access the remainder of those 8 GiB which my Archos has. The microSD card has 16 GiB memory, anyway, which is enough(ish) for my needs. But I cannot access it
Any other leads? Thanks for your engagement
OK, a quick update (and sorry for bumping the thread, I hope it's not too much of a problem).
I've managed to access my microSD card via USB on my Archos Gen8... sort of.
USB mounting works if I connect the tablet to my PC before booting cm7. I.e., If cm7 boots while the USB cable is already connected, I can then mount it and access the microSD card.
I've read through the official Archos Gen7/Gen8 cyanogenmod7 Degu release thread once again, and I've noticed more than one person reporting USB doesn't work, and divx118 also stating that it's not completely polished yet. I am, however not sure if this (i.e. my problem from the starting post) is what they mean. If it is, I'd like to inform people of the "workaround" I've come across (I am, however, not able to post in that thread).
And if it isn't the same problem, then I'd appreciate any ideas or opinions regarding why this is happening apparently to me alone.
Thanks everyone and many thanks to divx118 for his awesome work!

You're welcome, as long as it helps. I hope someone of the "big guys" sees it, if it's important.

NT/USB CONNECT: MTP then USB COMPOSITE then NT but no joy!!

I've had this problem for a while (not being able to connect my NT to my computer) and can't seem to resolve it. I happened to have to upgrade my hard drive and hoped the clean install of XP would fix it but it didn't!
When I connect my NT to the computer via USB (running Paranoid Android 3.01 off 32GB class 4 Sandisk SD card, and yes, I have USB Debugging enabled) I get the following:
The NT is recognized as the following devices, in this order:
MTP
Composite USB
Nook Tablet
The hardware installer opens after each "device" is recognized. Finally I get to Nook Tablet after cancelling the two previous hardware install requests but a third pops up and then I get a message that there was a problem with the installation!
I had been able to fix this problem previously by running usbdview and uninstalling each device, then deleting the device drive letter assignment, and finally running my Norton 360 Registry Cleanup Utility. But, now, that just isn't working!
I surmised that I was having a problem with the drivers. So, I surfed the web and found the USB Driver Zip file from Indirect's OP on rooting and installed them on my computer again. No luck.
I managed to get into a log file (don't ask me what it was called, I forgot) that was in the WINDOWS/DRIVERS/i386 folder. It mentioned a paging error occurred during the process of attempting to connect the NT to the computer. Does this mean my SD card is bad? I have had no problems using it to run the PA ROM on my NT, at all. From what I read however, that I could try to understand, a paging error has something to do with a problem with the SD card? Certainly I can just reinstall the ROM, in another card if necessary, or load a new one. However, I'd like to be able to get my content off the card without having to drop box all the files to myself (a decent but slow workaround).
I know I could try to use ADB over my wireless connection somehow to achieve this as well, but that is over my head right now.
Any suggestions regarding what is going on here would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

It's not clear from your post if you're merely try to connect the NT to your PC via USB for media content transfer, or for ADB access.
If the latter, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35971559&postcount=13 might be of help.
Oops, sorry. Just for content access/transfer.
Actually tonight my device seemed to reboot while I was in the middle of composing a document (data viz word). It's never done THAT before. Interestingly, it seemed to skip cyanoboot and go right to the SD ROM. The WiFi needed to be manually connected thereafter (usually auto connects). The reason I think it rebooted and it wasn't the screen flaking out as a problem is it went black and then right to the first animation for PA 3.01. But this seems to make no sense!
Maybe the SD card IS failing?
Yes, I am trying to avoid having to learn ADB access. Too tired (you know why Digi.) If I must, I will shell out for a new card and maybe try one of your newer ROMS......it's probably time for that anyway. But the card is only 6 months old
I will test out trying to access the NT on the computer via USB without the SD card mounted. Maybe that will shed some light.
Thanks as always.

Can't install on Windows 10 Tablet iBall Slide i701

I have an iBall Slide i701 running Windows 10. So, I wanted to try RemixOS on my tablet after seeing a thread on some site. So, I downloaded the zip and tried to use the USB option but my USB was not detected at all. I tried everything like formatting the pendrive to different formats, but still no luck. Then, I tried the Hard Disk installation, but here's the problem. My tablet has 16GB of internal storage of which right now about 7GB is free (which isn't enough to repartition). But, I do have a 16GB SD Card on the tablet but it's being shown as Secure SD Storage and I am unable to create a normal bootable partition with the SD Card. So, when I try the hard disk installation option, the SD Card doesn't show up among the hard drives, instead it shows among USB. Anyways, I tried USB installation to the SD Card, but it won't boot into the USB though I have set UEFI as boot option #1 and disabled secure boot.
Please help me out!
Well i have tried everything from booting linux to win7 win 8.1 installers with and without efi installers it just doesn't boot from any flash drive. There is a lock in the bios on boot option that forces it to boot from internal and yes i also tried via its sd slot, the prob is the sd card can only be accessed after it boots up, so thats a bummer,

hello, ive had similar problems with the iball marvel 6 and ive contacted iball for it and they sent me this email
With reference to your below mail, iBall compbook Marvel 6 comes with pre-installed OS 64 bit Windows 10 Home Ver. Customer cannot Upgrade or downgrade the OS through online or with any other external devices. Compbook works on tablet technology it will not support any other OS except the OS which is preinstalled in it, therefore there is no any separate drivers available for that..
i dont know if this is similar to yours but your slide also works on tablet technology so it might be the crux of the problem.
It is possible to load from USB
I had the same problem with my iball i701, during win10 upgrade it went into blank screen of death. Heres what i did.
0. Make efi shell as first boot in bios.
1. Go into efi shell, type map. It lists the drives, usb is not listed.
2. Unplug usb, type map -r
3. Plug in usb drive (my usb was win10 efi bootable drive), type map -r
4. Voila now the last entry is usb drive.
5. Type reset, press esc to go into bios. Usb is now listed in boot options.
Done.

hi it is posible and i bet there is a easy way im to stupid to find so here is what i did take a old empty hdd and the biggest usb stick u have (not bigger than the hdd) download the remix os install it on the usb stick like normaly then kill the partition on the hard disk using minitool partition wizard (freeware) [aply changes] then tell it to clone the partitions of the usb stick to the hdd u want to use and select no rezising of partitions aply again , shutdown , plug hdd into laptop and done schould install like normal on usb youst from internal [later u can partition the remaining space on the hdd into nice 32gb pices so the os can read them and have unlimited space i bet there is a easyer way but that worked for me whit the 64 bit version and a crappy intel atom office system whitout uefi boot if someone has a more simple way please let me know ^^ also is there a way to turn of guest mode querry so it automaticly boots into residental mode ?

I mean:
1. Install on USB
2. Format the partition on HDD
3. Clone the USB to HDD
right?
I success to replace my Windows with RemixOS.
But how can I use the full partition of my HDD?
Installation of Remix OS on hard disk using all storage
Have a look at "How to install Remix OS to hard disk".
easy,it is like install it on VMware.
just create a boot able USB
boot from it.
then on boot press tab and enter quiet INSTALL=1 DEBUG=
if I remember correctly.
this will start the stand alone hdd formating tool and installation wizard.
this is very easy and you find tons of videos about it on YouTube.
