Q1] Does it work on all ROMs?
A] It is a recovery, so yeah!
PS: idk about h2os. It is completely closed source. Hence i give no guarantee that it will work on it.

Download the latest TWRP img
Put it on the phone
Boot to the existing TWRP
And select install>images(bottom right corner or somewhere)>select the img>select recovery partition>flash>reboot recovery and you are in the bew recovery

Everything seems to be working. Restore a backup which was made with twrp 2.8.7.0. did a New backup with 3.0.0 and restored it successfully and did a clean flash with a cm13 rom

F2FS users - Attached zip includes a modified updater-script that needs to be added to the ROM(overwrite updater-script in META-INF\com\google\android folder), which will format the system partition as F2FS. You will also need to overwrite the boot.img with a F2FS compatible one or you can flash it after flashing the ROM

This uses the internal SU, so that would be the difference

dirty flashing is fine but if any issues don't report as a bug. Of course a clean flash will always be recommended

If it is an tw based rom i take it back. I thought it would be aosp because you said something about flashing gapps which obviously are not necessary with tw roms.
You need not to provide sources (mustn't is the wrong word[emoji1] ) but they are always appreciated.

Instructions:
Download zip and please use the TWRP recovery from this thread.
Do simple wipe (Factory reset) by using TWRP recovery.
Don't do advance wipe
Then flash the Pac zip file.
Go back and select opengapps zip and flash it.
Click on Install Image button present on the right of "Select Storage"
Flash this Boot.img from there
Then go to wipe and do factory reset.
Reboot and enjoy.

To fix that go to settings > Display & lights > Adaptive brightness, disable it. As the device doesn't have light sensor, this option should not be used

Did u flash the boot.img given in the thread?
It says error installing the ROM. My device is second half of 2014, so I first need to follow the rev2 method of CM11 right?
Edit: Now it's installing. Devices that are second half of 2014 should never wipe in twrp. Instead, use the CM11 rev2 method suggested by weritos

Did you try flash OTA or full ROM? If you are rooted, you must flash full ROM.
To avoid problems clean flash

In case the answer is that is not possible to do that i have started to read all the info needed to fix this(up to what i read till now it seems that is needed to go back to unrooted stock, make all the OTAs and when there is no issue go to a custom rom)

Did you dump libcryptfs_hw.so from stock ROM? My LOS13 built recovery wasn't/isn't working for X727, this might help as quick fix.
I'll sync minimal Omni 7.1 and see if I can get the multirom stuff to build there too.
