Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

Hi
im looking for a decent ROM for this device, didnt find anywhere
help please...

Don't think there is any at this point as the bootloader is locked and it's brand new out.
I believe like most redmi phones a global rom will become available. Hopefully when that comes more roms will follow.

Redmi 3 pro rom antenna issue

Probably there not yet many 3 Pro in the wild. I managed first with looked bootloader via download boot to install 7.1.3, but the gsm antenna doesn't work in the process in this rom. Thus I had go back to original.
Today I got the bootloader unlock sms and could try other xiaomi.eur roms, but none of the stable roms are working on the pro. All have the gsm antenna offline. The only rom working for me on the project is the Chinese development rom.
Are there more pro owners out there?
Hi! My problem is same for you. Can you share me what is the original "Chinese development rom" and where i can download?
Same issue here, IMEIs lost on flashing the Redmi3 ROMs to 3Pro.
Now I try to nail down how to rebuild the IMEIs...

How to unlock the bootloader of Redmi note 3 pro

Just got my Redmi note 3 pro today and I am wondering if there any other method to unlock the bootloader of it instead of using Xiaomi official way?
Any idea how much time it will take them to approve it?
I want to root and install custom ROM on it.
Thanks for your answers!
Nowadays the process is pretty fast, like within a week fast.
Just apply for permission and wait for it.
If they don't reply you within the week, just email them and they'll get back to you.
Also, you can search for unlocking guides here on XDA. Personally tho, I think that waiting for the official unlock is worth it for the convenience later on.

Which ROM for Redmi Note 4 MTK version?

Hello guys,
switching over from iOS I actually looking for a good custom ROM to use with my Redmi Note 4 MTK version.
Since I'm new to the whole Android universe I would like to have some advice regarding the ROMS.
Or should I stay with the stock ROM and just update/upgrade it to the newest version?
Any help is much appreciated, thank you all in advance.
If you don't need Root, or Jailbreak called on iOS, than you will probabl stick to stable official ROMs. Also, you need unlocked bootloader in order to install most of the Custom Roms. There are few little more optimized Custom ROMs with some customizations, but it's not a big difference from Global Stable rom. And, you should'v bought the Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4. Personally i have the MTK, but i bought it when it was out last year. I'm satisfied, but the battery is not even close to a Snapdragon version, MTK beats the SD one only in pefromance but for the cost of battery.
Yeah this was told me in another thread too.
Next time I guess.
Which source I should use for the ROM? Is that one with the MIUI or how it is called?
I also got permission to and unlocked my phone already.

swap rom from xiaomi to global

Hi all, I purchased the redmi 3 when it first came out for the gf. Still going strong, great phone for her.
When I got it it didn't have a global ROM, so I unlocked the boat loader officially and then installed the xiaomi 'global' ROM as an interim
Time has passed and I never got round to switching her to official, which of course is now a new android version ahead.
What's the most painless way of switching her?
If I was to put the official one as a zip file on the phone, could I update using the updater app? Would it lose all her apps and settings?
Any advice / first hand experience welcome. thanks

Which way to go on new rom - stuck on global beta atm

Hey folks,
i need your advice.
As i'm not that much in flashing and unlocking my android devices any more i'm now on 9.6.27 global beta on my poco f1.
As known i would have to full wipe my device to retun to the official global channel (11.0.5.0).
The fact that i would have to start my phone at stock launch, i'm at the point looking for a custom rom.
Which way would you recommend?
Flashing global stable and waiting for android 10 to be released officially by xiaomi or unlocking the device and flash a custom rom?
I'm unsure which way to go. I'm planning on using the poco at least for this year long and wasnt unhappy with an debloated miui official rom until now.
Thanks for your help, appreciate it!
Cheers
