Please guys can I have some feedback on this? I don't own this device.
A710F/FD already confirmed working.

I will try this but can i when it fails just use odin to go back to stock rom?

Yep just odin back the stock firmware or you can wait until later and I will post the stock recovery.
It's highly likely you will have no issues however.

confirmed working. Thanx ashyx. You are the greatest.

No worries thanks for the confirmation.

failed
flashed #twrp but failed with an error
"Custom Binary(Recovery) Blocked By Frp Lock"

You need to enable OEM unlock in developer settings.

Flash the stock firmware that will get rid of the FRP Lock.
Then make sure you disable it in developer settings.

Is it possible to have TWRP 3.0.0-0 for GALAXY A7(2016) SM-A710Y? Thanks.

You're device has the same specs as the sm-a710f.
All the 710 models use the same device code a7xelte.
It highly likely that TWRP will work for any a710.
I only append the model number with F/FD as they are the only ones to have been tested.
If your worried then download the stock firmware first as a backup. However I'm quite confident you won't need it.
If you do go ahead post back with your results.

Confirmed working by Rotkaeqpchen.
Also thanks to him for his donation. @Rotkaeqpchen, by the way I put a fix in your build for MTP. Does it work?
If you get a USB device not recognised error when enabling MTP then disable it and then quickly hit the button again to re-enable and it should work OK.

NB: If you get a FAP lock error in Odin, Enable OEM unlock in Developer options.
Do i go into download mode first or?
i tried the key combination... but with the combination i only can go into the stock recovery. but not in the download mode ???
is there any trick?
i've managed the flashing..
at first you must shotdown the phone (without connected usb calbe). then go to downloa dmode with vol down + home + power, than you can easyly flash the twrp image. after this go to twrp recovery with the key combination described in the first post and flash supersu.
thx

Rooted but xmodgames for coc not worked.
Thanks for this custom recovery !
I managed to install TWRP and to root the device.
... but I did not enable OEM unlock in developper options, so I can't boot the phone.
Here are the messages I get :
- "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
- "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock"
I have to flash a stock firmware before I can reinstall TWRP.
Where can I get a stock firmware for SM-A310F ? Are the ones listed here safe to flash : http://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/help/rom-stock-firmware-samsung-galaxy-a3-t3305861?nocache=1 ?

[RECOVERY][ROOT][TWRP-3.1.1-0] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 LTE - SM-T285 (gtexslte)

Attached in this thread is TWRP-3.1.1-0 repackaged for the SM-T285 built by @_mone from his SM-T280 build. Basically I packaged the latest gtexslte kernel with the ramdisk build by @_mone. I don't have time to build twrp myself so a big thanks to him.
Update August 20, 2017
==================
- Remove persdata error message when wiping
- fix properties to correctly use gtexslte instead of gtexswifi
Issues:
- Seems to start slower than the 3.0.1 build
For GPL compliance:
https://github.com/jedld/kernel_samsung_gtexslte.git
Sources:
Omni TWRP device tree is the same as the one @_mone is using but use the gtexslte kernel and skip the DTB boot image header shenanigans that the SM-T280 uses.
See thread
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
This installation instruction is only for the LTE enabled version of the Samsug galaxy tab A 7" 2016 (SM-T285). If you have a wifi-only version (SM-T280) go to this thread instead.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices and provide no warranty, make sure you made the proper backups and contingencies before you do this procedure. Make sure you have a stock firmware available as a contingency plan
Before going through this make sure your tablet is OEM Unlocked!. Make sure you have developer settings enable and there should be a setting there that says OEM unlock. That should be enabled, otherwise your SM-T285 will not accept firmware changes. Also make sure your tablet has sufficient charge and is not about to die.
1. Put your tablet in download mode (Turn off. holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN until download mode appears. There will be a warning that about custom firmware blah- blah-blah just hit volume up to proceed). Connect your tablet to your computer using the provided micro usb cable.
2. Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot. Uncheck Auto reboot. (If you are on Linux you can use Heimdall
3. Load the respective attached file (TWRP_3.1.1-0_SM-T285_20170501.zip) in this thread below into the AP slot and hit start.
4. After flashing when ODIN says PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
Root and SuperSU
==============
1. Download the latest available SuperSu Zip from chainfire. Install Zip using TWRP. Reboot phone.
2.Your phone might reboot a couple of times, however at the end of the process you should be rooted.

TWRP-3.1.1-0 repackaged for the SM-T285 build
Hi
Does the TWRP-3.1.1-0 repackaged for the SM-T285 build kernel allow for USB OTG host and simultanious charging mode?
TWRP 3.2.3-0

twrp-3.2.3-0-gtexslte.tar
I used my device tree that I created from _mone's android-6.0 gtexswifi device tree and jedld's omni-6.0 gtexslte source.

If you're using SGP712 you need to flash the proper recovery for that device, the one in OP is for SGP771
This one is the correct one (also linked 3 posts above): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298956222
Well .. actually OP and your´s in 3rd post and here are all 3 the same
Like said tried these here, from androPlus thread, etc etc ...
Flash via fastboot is working but cannot enter recovery after flashing
Tried to access via Power button, volume button, adb command, ... i dont even have a led signal at power on

It's booting on my device, but the first time I tried it didn't. I think it booted when I accidentally flashed it on the boot partition instead of the recovery one maybe you can try that.
but before, try hot booting it with:
Code:
fastboot boot ~/Downloads/TWRP-3.1.1-lineageos-karin_windy-20170520.img
Hotboot endet in an Bootloop but flashing recovery to Boot helped! Many many Thanks
€dit: Ok my bad didnt work ....
Hotboot didnt work
Flashing recovery to boot did boot up Twrp - Wiped cache/dalvik, flashed SU, Tablet constanty reboot into TWRP instead of system
Flashed Kernel/Boot to Boot - Tab boots into system but no root
Tried to reboot into recovery - no luck

Will it be any issues, if we just flash the AP?
Thanks. Flashed Magisk now.

Nope. Plus this phone does not have a TWRP for Q as of now. Moreover, please do not try any TWRP as of now.
Use ODIN only.

I tried, and I end up in bootloop, millions of times..
Trouble is, some inbuilt apps are bound with /system, and unable to get through. Moreover, you cannot imagine, I have been into bootloop 11 times since last evening.
So, if a list is present, I would be happy.
Last thing, did you notice, even if you have not logged into google account, it still keeps installing those 5 bloody recommended apps.

The M305M variant firmware with Android 10 can be found on sammobile. Can it be flashed without regard for the country it was made for or it has to be the same as the original firmware?

Can be used. However ensure you have mounted system.
You may lose data due to that. So ensure to have a backup.

[AIO] Guide to Unlock bootloader , Flash TWRP and a Custom rom.

Unlocking Bootloader1. Make sure you have a sim and active mobile data. Then go to about phone tap build number 7-8 times. After that go to advanced settings > developer options > turn on OEM unlocking and then check if this device is secure and click add account and device.
2. Download Mi unlock tool from here. Extract it and paste it in C:/unlock. or else your device won't be recognized for unlocking.
3. Open Mi unlock tool and then enter the Mi account which was on your device. Put your device in fastboot mode by pressing vol- and power and then connect to PC. Press unlock and if it tells you to wait you have no other option but to wait. If your mi flash tool shows connect your device even after you have connected it. Follow this guide here.
4. After you have unlocked your bootloader reboot your phone.
Flashing TWRP and Rooting via magisk
1. Download this TWRP image here. Thanks to the original developer mauronofrio.
2. Download adb and fastboot tools here and install it.
3. Now put your phone in fastboot mode and connect it with your pc. Now where you have downloaded the TWRP file rename it to TWRP.img and open a CMD window there if you don't know how just google.
4. Type the following commands
1. fastboot devices
2. fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
3. fastboot reboot recovery.
Click to collapse
5. Your phone will boot into TWRP now. But TWRP will be overwritten by stock miui recovery to stop that you need to flash Magisk. Download this zip move it to internal storage then flash by tapping on install and swipe to flash. Reboot your device. Reboot to recovery again to check if TWRP is present.
Now your device is rooted
OR
Flash latest OrangeFox Recovery if you don't want magisk.
Flashing A rom
1. Download.
2. Flash.
3 Format Data.
Done
Feel free to ask any questions. And don't point a finger at me for messing your device.

Okay keep the sim inserted and use the device for 7 days. And if it doesn't work try using older version of unlock tool.

Flashing a custom rom is optional. You don't NEED to flash a rom to get TWRP...
---------- Post added at 06:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 PM ----------
I've unlocked the bootloader using the unlock tool and waited for 7 days,
But i rooted the device using a different method where i patched a boot.img and flashed that to the device.
Will this method still work for me as I'm already rooted but just want TWRP so i can flash other ROMs.. The post says you have to flash magisk from the (temporary) TWRP for the TWRP to stay as the recovery..
Will the magisk on my phone and the magisk installed here collide?
I just want TWRP so i can switch to a custom rom, so any input is appreciated!!

Skip the flashing a rom part and you will be good to go.

You can flash twrp and then check if it persists. If not flash magisk again their is no thing as magisk colliding lol. Just make sure you flash a newer version. And if nothing works flash stock rom and then twrp.
If you have the stock boot IMG flash it and then intsall twrp and magisk.

Haha, makes sense! Thank you for your answers
Nevermind.. i got it to work pretty easily..
I have twrp on this device and Pixel Experience ROM and it's working all fine..
But there's this one thing where when booting to recovery, it asks me to input a password for User(0) when i try to input anything it says password failed..
From reading the log, it says it's for decrypting data(8f I'm not mistaken)
Is this important? Do i need to decrypt it?
Currently the ROM works fine with no errors, so I'm not gonna bother, but would still like to know what this "decrypting" thing is..

Yes, If you use a lock screen enter that password it will be decrypted. You will have to format data if you decide to flash any other rom anyway.

Yes Unified means all Snapdragon 720g Devices which include Joyeuse, Curtana, Gram, Excalibur.
Hey buddy, thank you for this quick step-by-step guide. I flash ROMs since 2012 and you know what? It helped me the same. Having all stuff needed for go from stock to custom concentrated in one place (plus some useful tip like the Magisk flash at the end) it's always useful and time-saving. Thank you
2 Micro-notes about fastboot btw:
- write 'fastboot (with lowered 'f'): it may confuse some newbie
- it's 'reboot' instead of 'boot'
