[XPOSED][MOD]TinderMods v1.0.2 - Restores the 'last seen' on your matches. - Xposed Framework Modules

All this module does for now is restore the last seen time on your Tinder matches.
It currently works only with people you've matched with and not when you swipe.
Hopefully future versions will include more features.
Download
Through the Xposed repo.

Tested on Tinder versions 4.4.4, 4.5.2 and 4.5.5.
Tested on KitKat and Lollipop.
26/03/16
Released version 1.0.2 that now supports KitKat as well.
Would love to hear suggestions, comments, bugs and positive / negative feedback.
And if you'd like to, buy me a beer (or a bottle of Chandon )

I been looking for something like this

Any Screenshots or anything? Proof that it works? Tinder version required and such? It doesn't work for myself so would like more info.

Confused..
I'm utterly confused... What purpose does this mod have?.. To show what? Why would you want your matches to know your on 24/7 ... Isn't that counter productive

I assumed it restored it for you to see when your matches were last on. Not letting yyou matches see your "last seen" but you see when they were on.

Up to version 4.3.5 of Tinder, you could have seen the time when your matches were last online.
This feature was removed on version 4.4.1 and forward. What this mod does is simply bring it back.

It was tested on versions 4.4.4 and 4.5.2.
As I said in the top post, XDA won't let me link to the repo or post screenshots because I am a new user.
Just google TinderMods xposed and there is a screenshot on the repo website.

I tried this with 4.5.2. I can confirm it is working, although the format makes me do a double take. It's listed as 16/2/16...........instead of 2/16/16......and a 24hr time stamp.
In the US, usually we read dates as month/day/year, so if you are not used to reading the day/month/year, it'll take some getting used to. I've used Tinder since it first came out nearly 4 years ago, and have seen the app change quite a bit.
The OP can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the OP's purpose for the last online time stamp is to determine when the person was last online so....in theory you can tell if they are ignoring you after you send a message, b/c if you sent it, then they were online, they likely saw it and are possibly ignoring you.
This is the reason why I think Tinder took away this option was b/c of it allows ppl to check messages without the scrutiny of giving the perception of ignoring the person LOL. Tbh, it's not an issue based on my experience (as a guy), b/c:
1. If the person likes you, they typically respond very quickly. That has been my experience.
2. If they person does not respond, they either are never online or are not interested so you are wasting your time anyway.

I can't seem to get it to activate. I installed the module, rebooted, and still no dice. I even tried reinstalling 4.5.2 but nothing.

Yeah you're right, I'm from Israel and that's how we read the dates here.
I'll localize the date format and upload a new version soon.
And you are absolutely right, that's one reason why one would want to use this module.
Fact is that's an issue that bothered me and I looked for a way around it and simply decided to share it with you all.

Does Tinder function normally or do you encounter any issues with it?
Please be noticed, the timestamp is currently only shown on profiles of people you've matched with.

No errors/FC or anything. I have a few ongoing conversations with matches right now, and if I select there profile there isn't a date anywhere to be seen. I've even done another install of the module to no avail.

If they picked you they were online at some point. That doesn't make sense. I'd rather women just unmatch if it's that they don't want to talk. Online dating is either a cheap thrill or stressful depending on your personality.

Thanks for the mod. It is useful. As I said before I've seen the app change during the years. Before it used to also be much leaner, then the app seems to have progressively become more and more "bloaty"

Sure that is true. Again, Tinder has changed a lot since I first started using it. In the US, Tinder is FULL of bots. They are profiles which send automated messages. This really took off around late 2014.
From when it first came out until, I'd say late 2014, Tinder was great. The app was lean, less bloat, no bots, and girls who were on there were worthwhile. You also had unlimited swipes, they didn't charge. Now (today), the app is heavy although gotten better, girls are on there are usually a waste of time, there is a limit on swipes, etc.......Usually most girls are just wasting time with it.....

I don't understand why you are being so dismissive and negative towards the work the dev did. He made a module, and felt like sharing it.
As a matter of fact, I'm gonna go to the thread of all your Xposed modules, and I will..... Oh, wait. You haven't contributed any modules.

I'm using tinder version 4.5.2 but I can't get the date to show either. I'm not sure if there are regional differences on the app, but just to be sure I say I use this in Finland.

I works very well for me, very nice mod!

There is a new version out with better logs that should help me figure out how to solve the issues you are experiencing.
Please paste the logs relevant to this module in a CODE tag along with the version of Tinder you're using and I will examine them.

nadavrbn, can you add a donation link to the original post? I would love to support you work with a small financial contribution.

Why not? This is the app section, where the community is welcome to share, discuss, and post apps of their likings on or off market so long that its not warez.
Is that a problem for you? I mean really, just because it's old to you doesn't mean its not new to someone else, and some people search the internet before searching the market for new and cool apps.

1: You read my post to yourself in a tone that I wasn't using. That's understandable, I didn't put a little emoticon at the end. It's impossible to translate tone over text.
2: Some people might feel uncomfortable side loading apps from unknown sources. Rather than posting the QR code so people could view the application's security access, you posted mirrors. It's not entirely irrational for someone to question whether or not the application has been modified to allow malicious activity. I see that you posted a link to another page that has the QR code, but wouldn't it have been enough to post just the QR without numerous mirrors?
If you're the developer or are affiliated with Bejoy Mobile, then it would make a lot more sense. Their site seems to be down.

QR codes can be easier I suppose. But don't they require camera? Barcode scanner? I know people who's camera don't work, and some people, like my wife, don't know anything about apps like barcode scanner and wouldn't know what to do with it if they had it. Almost everyone, is familiar with links and mirrors, and as anything else you download from the internet...you download at your own risk. So I'm not obligated to edit my postings according to personal security of peace in mind to the anonymous viewers as to whether or the not the app has been modified in any malicious way.
As far as your posting, I did not read it in any type of tone at all, You asked a question & I answered. Simple as that. Maybe my answer carried a tone that disturbed you, if so, I apoligize...heres a few smiley's to lighten the mood--

It was the "" that implied that you were being defensive.
You can't say that "almost everyone" is familiar with links and mirrors (or installing non-market apps for that matter. If they're on AT&T, they can't do that unless they root their phone or use ADB).
When I bought a Vibrant at the T-Mobile store, it came with a little pamphlet suggesting applications, one of them was the barcode scanner. It explained what it was for and how to use it. A customer can always call or visit the store where they purchased their phone to ask questions like, "I saw a cool paint program on a discussion forum with a funny little code. How do I install that?"
But - and again this is an assumption, much like the one you made about almost everyone being familiar with download mirrors - if they're perusing a developer's forum, there's a good chance they at least know what a QR code is.
I would imagine that the average user would feel more comfortable seeing the application in the Android Market along with all the other ones, with all of the application's security access explained to them. Do you really believe there are people who wouldn't question something on a random download site plastered with ads and other visual spam?
Also, why would you flat-out refuse to edit your post to make people feel safer about downloading an application that you wanted to share? Ignoring the fact that I never even suggested that you edit your post (that's why I posted the QR code myself) it's just weird that you wouldn't.

@horrorwolf: I'm not trolling. If I was trolling, I would be purposely trying to get a rise out of people by being offensive or rude. I'm merely suggesting that there are better, safer, and more reliable ways to refer an application to the public.
The manner of "Klyentel"'s responses are just kind of stupid. It's weird that he would be so uppity about this. Even in his last post, he's arguing with me. If he developed an application and wanted it on the market, he would have to outline the application's security access. If he didn't, or lied about it, it would be taken down. I just don't understand why someone would go through the trouble of uploading a market app to several random mirrors and then posting them here unless they modified it in some way (either with different icons, widgets, or with malicious script)
@Klyentel: No, nothing else from me. Clearly, you are infallible. Enjoy going through life a self-absorbed jackass.

No need for the name calling stranger. If thats what you wanted to know all you had to do was ask:
I didn't upload the app first of all some one else did, I don't host apps, and I don't use any of those crappy mirrors, I have my own mirror site, check my sig. I just simply re-posted these mirrors from somewhere else, for others to use.
Secondly, the benefit is the user can have a copy of the apk on their computer to use for their own reasons, or share with someone else for that matter.
This is my topic, my thread. So of course I will respond to every thing you say. Like it or not. Over and out.

[Q] looking for advice

Ok a friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy note i717
He has asked me how to turn noise suppression off permanently
He says he tired of turmomg it off on each call and until he does the other end can not hear him
I know this has been asked before and the closet I come to an answer was see that there was an app called samsung_nr apk (samsung noise reduction off)
Everywhere I have Iooked it is no longer available.
I know he has android with ice cream sandwich
Can someone tell me what to do.
I am no stranger to following instructions.
I have followed instructions here many times with great success.
Also he does not have the setting to turn it off when you go to settings - calls - additional settings. It does not appear in that menu
I'm guessing there's a file somewhere that records and saves your preferences, like ring tone, screen layout, etc.
There's settings you can't change, like disabling camera shutter sound (to protect people from unauthorized pictures being taken).
I hope noise suppression is a setting you can save. If so, it's in a file like build.prop or some xml.
Stand by, someone here will know the guts of the phone and give you the file to edit.

If I remember correctly, in thinking it's in the phone app. Open phone/menu/settings scroll down and you should see check box for " Noise Suppression ". Uncheck it. I know that's how it is in JB, thinking it's also in ICS. I could very well be wrong though. It's been a while since I've been on ICS.

As I see it, you have 2 options, continue with this fine line of defensive stance or smile just shake your head and try to find a solution. We all know you don't just post up without looking for the answer nor do we immediately assume you're an idiot. But your comment of "all due respect" did come across a tad snide. So let's all take a deep breath and get back to the matter at hand.
Look my intention is never to be disrespectful nor come across a tad snide.
Maybe my choice of words were misunderstood, and if they did then I do apologize.
I personally do not like to be called any names nor would I call someone a name because of what they post.
But you must understand the frustration of waiting for an answer and it taking a long time.
I don't expect an immediate response, but if after 24 hours there is no single reply yet there are 336 views, it can get frustrating.
I see this time and time again, where the minute someone doesn't get a reply an they ask again, right away the only response they get is either name calling or they are joked about asking .
I know that everyone here has been in that predicament, where you are waiting and waiting and waiting. What happens when you ask again they just tell you to wait. Prime example is the doctor's office.
Anyway I hope this clears the air and we can get back to the original problem

So how does this relate to turning noise suppression off permanently on a Samsung Galaxy note i717 ?????
Keico, possibly you got no real response is because no one knew the answer you were looking for. This is not a very common subject on this forum. And I doubt most know even how to disable it per call or even know what that symbol is on the dial pad. Most of the posters here in your thread are devoted, very knowledgeable, and the most active on this forum. They have seen much and I am sure that none of them would have shown you disrespect if they thought you weren't being disrespectful. Borgibs response was nothing more than him being a troll plain and simple and was quite uncalled for. With that being said, welcome to the forum and let us all just get along.
Now the only thing I could dig up for you was a thread on the Samsung S2 forum. It should answer your question but is not that simple for a novice.

How to root new phone? Obi Worldphone SF1

I have got Obi Worldphone Sf1 which is running android 5.0.1 . I tried every method i could and found on google and xda. But couldnt manage to root? I did all steps as noob but now i really want learn every depth of rooting and all. I thought to build android development env that i found on xda-university to build custom recovery like cwm or twrp. So my question is what are basics of rooting? I know what root is. I have experience of linux. I am not completely noob. So can anybody tell me which way to go to be a good android developer?? (like chainfire )

great so you are like me. The first step is to get the root working. Still no dev has managed to make this thing to work. Well for the most of the part our's is a great device, but at the same time because of unavaliability of kernel resources it is not listed in xda too. Until some experience dev comes out and do some force method to root this phone, there is no hope of ray. First to mess with phone you need a recovery so if anything go haywire then you can revert back to the safe backup.....

what does that mean... Every company has to abide my GPL no matter what they are what they do. Well its shame that when indian companies like MICROMAX are releasing their kernel resources they are not going for it. @zelendel (can you shed some light here brother) http://www.obiworldphone.com/global/

I have dealt with a few India based companies and it always comes down to the fact that they just rebrand China devices. Micromax being one of them.
Soon India will have to worry about things like this as it is along the copy right issues that they are trying not to fall into.
Emailing them is a good start, I would also contact who ever you can in the government. While I understand that Gov are different so you could use what ever might work. If it was me I would use the fact that it doesnt make them look good to openly support copyright infringement.

well as per India there is no specific clause on rooting your phone. Companies just says that if you root your warranty is void. There was never any or whatsoever debate anywhere in Parliament or any public forum. And its better if this kind of thing don't come to INdia i mean rooting debate coz certain companies may force govt to make root illegal. So sometime we can see bigger picture in small loophole

Rooting I really isn't the focus of it. Yes you would be able to have root if the bootloader could be unlocked. (totally different topic and nothing you really can do about that ) it's the kernel source that is the topic. Which by the GPL licence that all android kernels are based on require that the source code for the kernel on said device be made public upon request.
Rooting already pretty much voids warranties. This is why devs put red disclaimers in the OP of their threads. As for illegal, I am not versed in how the laws work there but the worst thing you would be doing is voiding your license you use the software that is on your phone. Nothing punishable by fines, jail or anything like that.

Yeah I guess i gone away from the topic. But whenever the topic comes of following GPL companies dodge the question. And most of INdian companies just "nvm" thinking. And for rooting there is nothing like jail here... Things are changing here as people are getting conscious about what are laws and what companies main motive behind hiding like GPL. Well like in america people and devs community slams the companies for not putting sources online.
I have an interest in the Worldphone, but due to limits in my particular region, buying one would be like buying an iPod Touch. Can't get it online.
While bootloader unlock and the like should be possible, I think for now, it'll have to wait.
In the mean time, is there a possible file dump of things like the APKs that Obi Worldphone uses? No one else has access to the Obi Lifespeed UI except Worldphone users right now. If it's possible, can you grab the APKs with software like ES File Explorer, and ZIP it to a cloud?

Performance ties very directly into device specifications.
Even if it lags, that's only the case known for the Obi Worldphone. There are several other phones in the world, with better processors than the SD615. An 800 may very well knock it out of the park compared to an SF1, and would no doubt topple the MV1, with its meager 212.
It's a simple request. The APKs to the exclusive applications. Even if it's the Lifespeed UI at most.

It is simple enough but the UI in itself isnt all that good
I mean what do you like about it?
Its not like Lenovo's vibe UI or oneplus Oxygen OS
Its simply an icon pack and a different lockscreen
Dolby Atmos being the only somewhat redeeming feature of this phone.

It's really that simple? Just a slightly colorful version of the stock lockscreen?
So beyond that, it's basically just AOSP versions of the other apps, I assume.
Pretty disappointing now that you bring that up. Seemed like it would be more intriguing than that.

Completely unlock your Sprint Note Edge, for real

I share this with you guys because I personally used this service and can attest to the fact that it is legit. Some of you have probably already heard, but for the others that are googling away trying to unlock their phone, idoneapps.com is the real deal. Not only does it work, but they will bend over backwards to ensure that it works for you. I am on AT&T HSPA+ using my SM-N915P. Works perfect. Could NOT get it to work with T-Mobile, altbough I didnt try that hard.
You are welcome my friends.
Can anyone else attest to this? I would like to hear a few "yes" replies before i sink the money into the phone and the software for the root.

Clearly, in your mind, you believe you're helping me. But your delivery of actually what's no help at all but just an opinion (because there was no real answer to my question, which would have been yes/no), your delivery just sucks.
So i'll respond to you the way you responded to me, "Only an a-hole would call someone an 'idiot' for asking a yes/no question and not even bother to answer that question with the intended answer".
I would really appreciate it if you didn't waste my, or other people's time, just throwing pointless responses into the mix to make yourself look like you actually know the answer. I even tried to sum it up and keep it nice but you had to get that "last" word in and still use more pointless information that had nothing to do with "yes/no".
You're not helping people, which is the point of this whole forum....you're just spouting off to be spouting off. I've been here for years and i've got to say you've given the most pointless/useless answer i've ever gotten in XDA.
I've said my piece but i'm sure you'll want to drag this out so i'll just block your responses from my inbox/phone so i won't have to see anything from you again.

your answer is there. you just don't like it... personal problems and wasted keystrokes.

Look it was a pass along to help playa. Try it or dont dont really give two from my end. I been a member of xda for a min and I wouldn't give bs to my community. Again though, up to each individual. As far as the "work", the people that came up with this app, if everyone put in the work, they'd be broke. So yeah, let's just take the incentive to create anything by taking away the profit. It's commerce and capitalism, welcome to the 21st. Go be a drag elsewhere..

General Well I cancelled my order….

I am very sad to say it but I have cancelled my order. I just cant justify paying what this phone costs for something that wont even let me use Android Auto and keeps switching Google apps to Oppo even after setting Google apps as default. I will continue to lurk and hope for a day when we see this phone released with a Global version. Thanks to everyone for all your answers and feedback, it is appreciated.

It is interesting that you are active on this forum. This community is all about customizing devices, and making them do things they are not originally intended to do. If you come here, you will get recommendations on the same. For those that want a phone to just works, buy one from your carrier, for those that want to play with tech, and force it into submission, buy one that is not meant for your carrier, visit XDA, and get to work.
Also imapfsr has received the feedback they requested here, to include the recommendation to not buy the Find N.

Who says it’s about customisation? Do you make the rules? It’s nonsense to say ‘buy one from carrier’, what are you on about?
This person wants honest opinions, he does not want to waste over 1000 bucks for some person to say it works because they have downloaded an app on PlayStore to work around the devices limitations. Don’t worry he’ll wait for your analysis on Android Auto.
You say most of apps works, 99.999% would work fine, yeah OK….have you used every single one of PlayStores apps? Do you know every little UI issue on every single app? I doubt it.

For your first question... It's in the name "XDA-Developers", and if that is not enough it is in a statement on their home page.
Ask what you want, but if you are coming here to ask questions you should expect responses that include customizing. imapfsr was smart in coming here because they knew they did not want to do heavy customizations, and asked questions that lead to not buying the phone. You on the other hand seem mad that people are offering up solutions to these issues.
Last, if you want to quote me pay attention to context, it is important. My comment was this:
I said 99.9999% of apps would look fine in landscape mode, and to turn to portrait for the others. In a later post I offered to test specific apps for anyone that would like. This was in response to you complaining about the phone being in landscape by default.
Do you also complain about all the default portrait phones that force you to turn into landscape when you launch a game?

It is interesting that you are active on this forum. This community is all about customizing devices, and making them do things they are not originally intended to do. If you come here, you will get recommendations on the same. For those that want a phone to just works, buy one from your carrier, for those that want to play with tech, and force it into submission, buy one that is not meant for your carrier, visit XDA, and get to work.
Also imapfsr has received the feedback they requested here, to include the recommendation to not buy the Find N. View attachment 5507817

You say most of apps works, there’s 99.9999% would work fine, have you used of PlayStores apps? Do you know every little UI issue on every single app? I doubt it

Your argument about games makes no sense - most games force landscape mode, that’s just games - most other apps don’t force landscape mode and most people aren’t playing games most of of the time on their phones, so that’s awful comeback.
Context doesn’t make your argument any more relevant. You have no idea that this % amount of apps ‘look fine’, stop pretending you know more than you do. Also why would offer to test apps? Who on earth do you think you are? Please calm your ego. You are a nobody. No one’s care about you testing anything.

And I thank you for that as well sir!
Hey you guys, nothing this trivial is worth arguing over, we have enough garbage to deal with nowadays to not get pissed over this. I appreciate everyone's help and feedback for and against. I am just looking for everyone's honest opinion and I always get that here without question. As I have stated previously I have messed around with phones since the original Mi Mix but I am passed the stage of wanting to do that anymore, I just want my phone to work...who knows, global version maybe or late news is looking like maybe the Google Pipet might be Find N like so we will see. Ideally that would be perfect...a Google foldable in the flavor of the Find N with pure Android...yes please
Thanks again to everyone!
You have made a great choice. Great hardware, poor software with way too many irritations. I sold mine 2 days after getting it.
Good luck to those jumping off; but I've been using the Find N a week now, and very happy with it (Fold is going on sale shortly). It's just an all around better package with better trade offs (for me) than my Fold. Every phone has trade offs, and it is true there are some things that might not work yet (Android Auto) and some that are annoying (aggressive battery); but with the Fold the form factor is just not quite right (for me), and it always felt like a folded in half iPad Mini which doesn't fit comfortably in the pocket; where the outer screen is too tall and the keyboard too narrow such that the outer screen isn't very usable; and then the weight in the hand is unwieldy due to the length. I can understand if there are deal breakers for some (such as for those where Android Auto is a must have), but so far there aren't any for me.
@conceptgate
What do you mean with "(Fold is going on sale shortly)"?
Do you mean the Oppo find N going on sale soon?

Haha got it! enjoy it
All Samsung Fold's are even not close to this phone's build quality, if this phone came with global version than for the moment no any fold can be a competitor.
