Thats not entirely true! Besides since KitKat boasts of reduced RAM usage[new Kernel] it could be ported to devices sporting gingerbread originally if all the necessary binaries were available!

I wish but this is not possible. OrionRom developers tried to port note2 4.4.2 tw rom but everybody saying kernel porting is impossible! No official rom ports for i9100 but someone could make sgs6 theme for stock tw 4.1.2

As tassosmer stated above N7100 does not have official lolipop support so unfortunately N5 porting is impossible .

As far as I know, you can't unless you have the one UI GSI but there are other roms in GSI for samsung that are like pure android or linageOs but they are not official so they would have their errors.

yes, it's possible. I has img's OneUi 4 and ROM booted, but has more bugs and problems
