Galaxy Note 5 Clone Power Up - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I hope I'm posting this question in the right place.
Any way, I have a Galaxy Note 5 Clone (Chinese).
I really like this phone. For my purposes, I am happy with its performance.
There is one thing that I noticed that is really puzzling.
I'm going to list the process in steps:
1- I power off the phone.
2- Connect the charging cable either directly to my computer (USB port) or connect to a wall outlet through the charger.
3- The phone starts to charge and I get the animated picture of it charging.
4- After a few seconds, the phone powers up on its own.
This is the part I don't get.
Is this normal behavior for this clone or is there a setting somewhere that needs to be turned ON or OFF.
By the way, it is running Android 5.1.1
Appreciate any help in this matter.

flyer absolutely dead - red light after hibernate?

Hi,
i have a european htc flyer with LeeDroids actual custom rom (GB).
Today I drove my car, while charging it with a special 12V - Micro USB-Car Cable.
I tried google navigation and some other features and after that I chose HIBERNATE from the power-menu.
After half an hour I wanted to reactivate the device but everything I try - it simply wont start. display stays black, i tried every button (including the combination to bring it in the recovery mode). nothing works. the red light next to the power button is on (as if it is still loading).
has anyone an idea, what i can try to start the device, is it a brick? what about garantuee in this state? what should i do??
please help, thx
You need to give it time on the proper wall charger. Red indicates a completley depleted battery. I don't think you'll get what you need from a usb charging mode at this point. It could take some time to revive if you've push the battery far enough to deep discharge becasue the initial period will be used to recondition the battery at very low current.
...has been on the wall charger for hours - no effect
Can you plug it into the PC and see if it detects anything at all and if it does what is that. The other possibility is that you've somehow ended up in download mode.
I ended up in download mode on my original incredible. Not fun. See if it boots if you plug it into the pc. If so, I know how to fix it.
Sent from my HTC Flyer
nothing detected when plugged in via usb onto my pc
tried also adb shell, sais no connected device
think its really dead...
i have a flagship store in town, bring it in tomorrow -keep you posted, what the problem was/is
Let Lee know too if you haven't already just in case there is something in the code causing problems. That way he can pull it to keep other people safe.

[Q] Note II won't charge

tl;dr my note 2 won't charge from an outlet or PC tested with 4 cables including the stock samsung cable/wall charger
Backstory: I rooted my note 2 a number of months ago, around April, and ran it with the rooted stock firmware. Then, a week ago, my device stopped connecting to my computer (which I believe was a driver issue) and then I somehow managed to soft-brick my device ("Verizon has detected unauthorized software" or something of the like on boot) and then reset it back to unrooted stock android using this guide, specifically section 1b using VRAMC3. It then would boot properly.
Present day: My note 2 won't charge using a wall outlet or a PC. I have only used the out-of-the-box samsung wall outlet, but have tried 4 different cables for each medium including the stock samsung usb cable, and multiple ports on my PC. When I plug the cable in, my device (which is dead) shows a battery with a white arrow in a circle for a few seconds and then goes black. If I try to turn the device on with the power button, it shows the same icon. Before I unrooted my device, it would charge without issue. I left it plugged in overnight and it did not charge at all. It was powered on for an hour or so after I unrooted it and it would not charge during that interval either.
I would assume that the port is bad, but it seems to recognize when I plug in the cable because it shows the battery icon, and the issue only came about after I unrooted it.
Any insight you could provide would be much appreciated.

the charging is run by the i/o drivers in the phone. I would try to odin the phone back to stock root and run a new recovery if you can come across a charged battery.
Similar Issue
I have similar issue as OP. My rooted device with TWRP stopped charging and once it died has become unusable. I have received my replacement device and now have 5 days to return the broken one. I want to return the old device to stock (as possible) before returning it, but even after charging the battery with the replacement device, I cannot communicate with it via USB. So using the Odin mentioned in Q&A section is not possible. I am trying to think of another way to flash a stock recovery and rom to the phone, perhaps by placing the files on the micro sd. I need to get rid of TWRP and return the OS to stock if at all possible. Does anyone have any ideas?
You can use the hidden menu apk and enable the adb through it or send me the snapshot if devise manager after connecting your devise to pc
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Same Issue...
I rooted using TWRP and no issues. Then last night plugged my phone in and it did not respond. I tried 6 different cables on different power usb sources as well as the pc with no luck. I happen to have an old note 2 with a cracked screen which I charged and switched batteries. What should I do? When plugged in, it charges for 2 seconds thens stops... Help!

Galaxy tab wont start up

My galaxy tab wont start up after a long time with no charge ( like 5 months ). Its not the first time it happens but i dont remember what ti do.
Did you try to put it on charger, wait at least 5 minutes and then turn it on?
Oh, and there's also battery pull out simulation when you hold your power button for 30 seconds.
Yes, tried then both. I'm starting to think that my tablet is dead -.- yestarday when i plug it to the USB port of my laptop gave some signal but now there's no song when i plug the tablet.
Searching the net, I came across this site:
http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...-10-1-refuses-to-power-on-any-hope-of-revival
Check if you find anything usable. In worst case battery may be dead

S III I9305 Works with Charged Battery, but Cannot be Charged...

Hi guys,
My S III seems to be working fine once the battery is charged. I have been using another S III to charge my battery (which is very annoying).
I thought it might be the USB port and am thinking of replacing it. However, there are also other symptoms which I have not been able to discover anywhere else on the internet yet.
First, when pressing the power button on the side, the phone does not boot like it used to, i need to hold the button for longer than usual and then the charging icon appears, before booting to the home screen.
Second, the battery icon in the top right corner always has an exclamation mark in it like it is critical, but the battery will last as normal.
So, all these three things are connected to the battery and charging, but how? Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix? Remember, I can not use the USB port so the phone does not connect to my PC. Thanks!

Plugging a tablet to my car & searching for a suitable android version

Hello!
So I bought a nexus 7 II tablet recently and I plan to plug it into my car.
I picked nexus because I think It's quite popular with devs. (And it had it's screen broken so I paid a little less )
The problem is, it Is an old vehicle and the only way I see it working without draining my car's battery when I'm not in the car is:
1. When there is no power supplied on the charger the tablet is off.
2. When I turn the ignition on, the charger starts working automatically, so the tablet turns on.
3. I'm using the tablet
4. When I turn the engine off, and the power is cut off, the tablet still stays on for 10/15 minutes (the exact ammount of time doesn't really matter - but sometimes you just turn
off the engine/power in a traffic jam etc. - I don't want the tablet to die instantly), and then turns off.
I think this wouldn't be bad at all but I need an Android version that:
1. starts up quickly (so I don't have to wait like 2 minutes after starting the car to use the tablet)
2. Has the option to shutdown if no power is supplied.
Are you aware of any android version that would suit those needs?
Or can I modify android myself in such a way that it does work the way I want?
thanks for help and advice
@edit
It would also be nice if the tablet has stayed awake all the time.
Is it possible?
