Samsung Auto-Brightness Fix for Lollipop - Xposed Framework Modules

Hi guys,
This time I updated Xposed module called Samsung AutoBrightness Fix so it work on Android Lollipop now. This module was originally developed by moneytoo for Kitkat http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.smartmadsoft.xposed.samsungautobrightnessfix but looks like has been abandoned by developer....
How does it work? When the auto-brightness goes up and the device is not in horizontal position (on the table) it won't go down until you turn off/on your device. In some situation like driving with GPS navigation at night this can be annoying... This addon let the brighness go down without need to power cycle your device. Please do not read the below information in hurry I found one problem with found light sensor in every Micromax canvas 4 A210. Also Micromax Canvas turbo device:
There is a very famous app called 'Lux lite' (Free) or 'Lux autobrightness' (Paid), Both are by same developer and very same functionally. In this post i say 'Lux autobrightness' in some places so don't be confused consider it as 'Lux lite'. You install 'Lux lite' as it is free and check yourself. This app is so useful that the users, including I, wish to pay even more for the paid version and also wish that Google should buy this app and make it available in all android phones by default. SADLY Canvas 4 and Canvas Turbo users are unlucky for this app or any display brightness app to work fully because of its light sensor issue explained below:
Now the real problem: Once you installed the app ''Lux lite', it appears as 'Lux Lite Dash' in your apps section. Open the app and tap on Settings (Toothed wheel) > Advanced > Debug and now move your phone and see if the 'Light sensor' value change, sadly it wont change. Micromax canvas 4 A210 won't read the values of the light sensor between 1 and 51 (never saw light sensor reading from 2-50). Normally, as you move the phone, the light value should jump from 1-2-3-4 accordingly but in Canvas 4 it wont jump, if it then jumps directly to 51. I'm concerned as most of the devices even some Micromax devices read the values accurately according to the surrounding light changes and the app 'Lux autobrightness' works well. Manufacturer of light sensor is Capella. I also discussed with Developer of Lux autobrightness and he just cant make the app 100% working and says 'It is the phone/Micromax issue'.
BELOW is my email to Lux lite developer:
''Hey Vito, hope you are doing well.
My friend has this phone (Micromax A94 canvas Mad) and Lux is perfectly working (values are changing in Setting > Advance > Debug). My phone is Micromax canvas 4 A210 highly advanced than my him and values in Debug section, light sensor shows only 1 and 51 value. In his phone, values CHANGES like 1,6, 8 and so on swiftly according to ambient brightness.
What I observed is that, the light sensor of TAOS semiconductor corp. which is in my friend's phone, is much compatible with Lux and my light sensor is Capella. I tested both phones with same settings, HIS phone respond to change in lux values in Debug page and NOT MINE.
Hope you'll fix this. Thank you.''
Please visit the link below to find the conversation between me and the developer of Lux autobrightness app (also check the pics I've attached in that page):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...44921&page=144
Someone suggested me to try changing the kernel. I cannot change the kernel as many people reported issues. ANY OTHER SOLUTION PLEASE ?
If you guys (Canvas 4 users) are on custom ROM then please let me know if this issue exist in custom ROM as well ? If it is sorted out in custom rom then please let me know the ROM details so that I can also install it.
Thank you,
Athar

Try new app for auto brightness without ambient light sensor
Have you try "Auto brightness by PP"? It senses light by camera too.
Please let me know whether it work on your Micromax or not?

to bad.
can't install with s4 5.01 stock deodexed because of wrong xposed version.
have to use xposed 0.75 unofficial by arter.
this modul wants higher version than 0.75.
so still stayin on cyanogen 13 without the tiltbug.

Same goes for Galaxy S5 (G900F). Latest available Xposed for Stock is v75 by arter.

What's the SOT?
I found best battery is stock rom 5.9.26S from ALBA in Russia forum you can download it here:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/3rWz/V8e4aZYBE
Or Madsurfer stock rom 5.9.26S with Sense home launcher
Nougat rom try Ground Zero roms Tipsy, Validus, Tesla normally it got pretty good battery life with good performance.

Used it last night for 2 1/2 hours sot to 50% so I'm assuming 6 hours. Just feels so much more smooth and solid than linage or RR or aosp based ROMs. Way smoother than eui.
It's miui8 port a little bit tricky to get it to boot properly the 1st time but well worth it I have Xposed installed. Freedom

I usually get 5.1/2 - 6 hours SoT on RR which is pretty decent. You just need to find the right settings for long battery life.
Small EUI could potentially outperform RR in the field of batterylife , but I just can't get used to EUI based ROMS after experiencing Nougat features.

Which version of rr? Nougat or mm?
I'm running 7.1.2 RR 27/05 build.
I changed the resolution to 1920*1080/420 dpi. It's more than enough for me, I see no point of watching 1440p content on a mobile screen.
I use Balanced Xana ATK profile (Settings->Leeco Extras->AKT profiles) and Greenify app to limit background running apps.
I turned off the logger buffer sizes (Developer settings). In Display settings turned on adaptive brightness and reduced power consumption (livedisplay). Also turned on batterysaving mode in location settings.
I would like to highlight that If I play any game (usually Mobile Legends) I get around 4 - 4 and a half SoT with approximately 1 hour gameplay.
I also tried out the newer build (02/06) but AKT profiles didn't work in that one (not noticed any differences in Kernel Adiutor), so I've decided to stay on this build for while. But I read that there are new powersaving features in the latest build, you might wanna check that out.
You can read about some kernel tweaks here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/development/kernel-blackscreen-pro3-aka-zl1-x727-t3594976 (2. post)

It's on Russia forum here I found rom by ALBA for Le Max 2 and Le Pro 3 (different tread): this link for Le Max 2:

You gotta click under LeEco Le Max2 at the top fourth line in blue text (EUI) and there is 5.9.26S. It's Russian language though not much I can understand.

Interactive cpu governor, alucard hotplug, and no, i didn't underlock. But if you chose a AKT profile, you don't have to necessarily mess with kernel settings, the profile does that.
Now I'm on 13/6 build, so far it's fine. A bit laggy though, I think the BS 2.3 could cause that. Not noticed any difference in battery life.

Hello, it's me again, right now change ROM, I have resurrection remix 6.0 Oreo 8.1 for Z Play bike, I tried several Gcam mod apk but the one in this post is the only one that works, HDR + is working and blur too ... but now I notice that with this camera or any other it has less color .. note that it blinks for and at times it becomes "normal" the color but I do not understand why this happens? How can this be resolved ? Does it work well for you? I just have that color problem. Sorry for me English is that I'm using Google Translate haha:confuso:

Trust me, I tried a bunch of ports and EVRYONE had a force close here and there. It was very annoying. With this version, everything works and had only a crash when I first started the app.
Runs perfect since then and made hundreds of pictures since then.
I tried these settings:
Auto-exposure mode: default
nonZSL HDR + underexposur multiplier: 0%
Advanced settings-> Main camera:
Base model: 2 xl pixels (all are blurry except with pixels and nexus 6)
Tuning back cam-> apply custom denoise params, check it and bring it only: custom luma denoise low light: 2.8
Tuning front camera:
base model: nexus 6p
apply custom denoise params to check and leave as it is.
minimal hdr + smoothing disabled (loses a lot of quality)
HDR + parameters: pixel 2017 faster zsl
hdr + camera config: pixel 2017 Zsl hdr +
Advanced settings HDR +
Final quality: 100%
NonZSL HDR + antibanding mode: 60hz
Use Hexagon DSP: yes

The min_pwrlevel has default read & write permission. I think min_pwrlevel tweaked by the kernel for overclocking which incrementally heated up devices. ( As in the stock the min_pwrlevel is 2 ).

What is Project Pixel?
Project Pixel is a small team of developers that work on porting most, if not all of the Google Pixel features to stock firmwares.

Yes and read OP please.
This ROM is awesome. It is pretty stable too. The boot logo is not very appealing. I will keep using it. No bug so far.

I have found one issue, with the phone app. When I try to call someone it doesn't show the call being forwarded,so you can't end the call. And When I am called I can't pick up since there is no prompt for accepting or rejecting call. A problem with the Google dialer maybe.

I ve been using it since last night. receiving texts emails and phone calls, its worth the effort . its a lovely rom.
The battery is pretty terrible, it cant charge while playing, it was draining while charhing so fast, i ofc did a clean install, camera app fails a lot as well, and you cant set every live wallpaper from pixel wallpaper changer it force closes.. i hope in the future you can fix these the rom felt smooth until i started playing games and noticed it wasnt charging while playing..
Hi Dev.
I wiped my data and installed your rom. Everything was perfect. But the galaxy wearable app was force closing.
Could you please help me to solve this problem.
Best regards

Wait what XD. Never experienced this bug. Maybe a charging cable issue? Also, there are two cameras included. GCam isn't as stable as stock by a long shot, so use stock if GCam crashes too much.
Also abt Gear Wearable. Since I extensively debloated this ROM, it is possible I removed something that I shouldn't have. Not to worry, I will release an update next month (Not now because of exams)

Im back on my old 9.0 rom and everything is working just fine, i dont know what the issue was here, but ill check the update when its ready thanks!
Please add Adapt Sound feature if possible in a future build.
Fast, smooth and stable rom. But it has really bad battery usage. The older one(teampixel oreo) vas great at battery usage.
Also i can't find the "Power saving mode". There is no toggle in notification bar and i cant find a way to enable it in settings menu. Anyyone know is it possible to use Power saving mode on this rom?

Hello! The reason battery life was significantly better on Oreo was due to Oreo having a fully working Phantom Kernel! At this point, I'm just waiting for an update to that kernel, so that I can incorporate it, into the ROM, along with adapt sound, Dual Messenger, Gear 360 bug fix and Screen Write (Samsung Capture) since that it the only "useful" Note Feature that can't just be simply added back. I'll also be incorporating a few tweaks here and there to improve performance where possible! Keep an eye out for V1.1
