Movie Formats

I'm looking to put full length movies on to my s743. I was wondering If I should stick with windows media player or not. Also I want to make the videos the smallest foot print I can. I use to have a program for my old Sony Ericson that I could get full videos in decent quality down to a gig. Just curious how you guys are going about doing this fast and easy. Glad to be a part of these forums and look forward to a response.
personally I'm using "avs video conventer" and convert videos to mp4 320x240...to my opinion it's the best...
In order to play the movies I use CorePlayer because media player lags when I try to move fast forward the movie...CorePlayer works really smooth!

Google Movie Rentals... HD films over MHL

Does anyone know if it's possible to rent HD movies on the Galaxy S2 and then output them in HD quality via the MHL cable via HDMI?
Google Video Rentals have just come to the UK and I'm keen to get an MHL cable if this can be done!
Thanks!
James
Android Market › Help articles › Movies › Watching Movies › Watching on your HDTV
It seems to be specifically for the Motorola Xoom, but I would guess the same applies for the SGS II.
No mention of quality/resolution of the movies though.
The only place I could see resolution mentioned was on Android Market › Help articles › Movies › Watching Movies › Watching on your computer
Change resolution
Adjust the video quality from 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, and up by clicking on the button located on the toward the right side of the control bar.
Thank you!
Sadly, I don't see the option of HD purchases on the Galaxy S2, which is a shame.
I wonder if anyone in the UK with a Motorola Xoom can tell me if they see the HD option available...
Yay, I now see the HD option on the Android Market
Well, now the option has disappeared for all but a very few movies. Very annoying given that I've just paid out for the MHL cable. What's the point in out putting highdef, if Google's own apps don't support it?

Good video player

Hi!
i'm looking for a good video player for our tattoo, that can play video files smooth.
i've tried MOBO player and BS Player, but the video was not synced with sound.
can you help me?
cumpz!
Hi.
You can try MX Player.
Hello.
How about Act 1 video player. Or Meridian player. Although I use those on my chinese tablet, not on my Click, they are great video players.
Or you can try Seaman player, it's UI is ugly, but it's good player.
Pop Player (Speed-Control Video Player)
I highly recommend the free Pop Player app. I recently made a couple of reviews on it on YouTube.
This new video player allows the user to utilize speed-control. The slow-motion
and speeded-motion are extremely smooth too and audio syncs perfectly with
the video at any speed. It can definitely be useful for athletes and students.
Some people I know even use it to replay their golf swings in slow-motion
in order to improve their form.
This player plays MP4 files that contain H264 and AC codecs.
Check out my review of this app on youtube by searching "Pop Player Free Android App".
I suggest mx player
It has a good forward option, yet the best thing is the subtitle menu if you are watching a movie.

VidOn Box Review - Aluminium Android box powered by quadcore Allwinner A31S

Hi all,
I've just posted my VidOn Box review. Performance of the included VidOn XBMC was generally excellent, with only RMVB causing issues. Video output from VidOn XBMC is true 1080p. However, a 720p UI lock meant that all apps, stock Kodi included, could only output 720p and the native YouTube app was limited to 720p too. Gaming performance was great!
You can read more about it, along with plenty of images, benchmarks and an unboxing video here: http://hometheatrelife.com/vidon-box-review/
I'll keep updating the review if there are more things I'm asked to test out.
A special thanks to GeekBuying for sending me the sample to review. You can get one from GeekBuying here
I have a VidOn Box and although the UI has a maximum resolution of 720p, media files are displayed at 1080p when playedback in XBMC and their native Vidon media player.
It seems everything else is 720p though like I mentioned
Yeah I know, I mentioned that too. But movie playback (usually via some server), which is the main feature is in 1080p, and it looks great, even 3D ISO files.

Deep link from Fire TV App to a movie on Prime Video App

i am trying to create an app that can call Prime Video movies.
My app will have a selection of movies curated by me, and it will deep link to a Prime Video title when the user click's on the movie poster.
I haven't found a solution here: https://developer.amazon.com/docs/fire-tv/deep-linking-featured-content.html
This is a short video of what I intend to do.
